Decathlon Disappointing customer service experience

I recently had a disappointing experience with Decathlon. I ordered a bike for my daughter's birthday, and when she opened it, the reflector was broken. Despite contacting customer service, the only options offered were a 10% compensation or returning the bike. It was a letdown, especially since it was a birthday present. This experience has left me feeling dissatisfied, and I will not be using this retailer again.

Decathlon Since a couple of months you can now buy online on

Since a couple of months you can now buy online on decathlon.com.

I ordered something when it was barely a week available. You first have to select a store, and you can choose to collect it from that store or get it home delivered (5 ? add). I did the latter and it arrived just 3 or 4 days later. The only mistake was that they delivered golf balls 'Callaway warbird' instead of the gloves I ordered (also named warbird). But after a phone call, they were professional and polite, they excused themselves for the mistake and sent the gloves free of charge. I could keep the golf balls because they made the mistake, as a commercial gesture. Very well resolved in my opinion.
The only downside are the prices. Their own products are often cheap, and decent quality, but brand product are (at least for golf) much more expensive than international golfshop sites like golfonline.co.uk or golfstoreeurope.com. Nevertheless still cheaper than most 'real' golf shops in Belgium.

I ordered an Easybreath Snorkelling Mask a few days before Christmas. ( not expecting it before Christmas) it arrived 3 days after ordering, was kept informed the whole time. Could not fault any aspect.

Decathlon Great quality for great prices

I love cycling and hiking. Again and again, Decathlon has proven itself to have an excellent choice of all kinds of sports equipment - waterproof sneakers, rain coats, tents, hiking sticks, etc - with a price range that even I, who used to be an unemployed student working part-time, could afford. I can't recommend them enough.

Decathlon ZERO STARS! One is too much already

HORRIBLE! Purchased a bike for my daughter and within days the rubbed tire fell apart as she was riding. After weeks of discussing this situation with them and wanting an exchange on this hazardous bike I've been told this is due to deflated inner tube inside the tire and it happens when it sits in there warehouse for too long. So because they have had a bike in there warehouse for too long it's my problem that it arrived this way. My daughter fell off as she was riding, how is that exceptable. Tire no long stays inflated and I've had the bike for 2 weeks and it was only riden 3 times. Save your money and shop elsewhere. They tell you that your child's safety is at there utmost priority but thats all BS. At end of day I've been told there's nothing they can do in terms of exchange because it's common practice to pump your tire every time your ride it. Well we own Cannondales and I've never ever had to do that before. We purchased the ROCKRIDER ST 120 20" KIDS MOUNTAIN BIKE, don't buy it. But I honestly wouldn't buy nothing from them as I saw another review on here with the same issue. Btw there bikes are made in China so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with there crappy workmanship. I had such high hopes in this company. There website looks very professional but clearly they are NOT! Do not purchase from companies that do not put your children or your safety as priority number one. This is your life at risk on these death traps that could fall apart on you as you or your little ride on

Decathlon I bought a bike for my daughter from this site

I bought a bike for my daughter from this site. When I tried to assemble it, I found that the bike was defective. The front wheel was not centered in the frame, and therefore brakes could not be attached properly. I requested to return the bike, and was told to do so via *** I sent the bike back via *** $175 to return the bike. The day after shipping the bike back, I contacted Decathlon via their site to say that not only do I want a refund on the bike, but that I want a refund on my *** charges because I was only returning the bike since it was defective. Had the bike not been defective, I would have kept it, so shipping it back should not be a cost that I had to incur. I attached pictures of the defect. I have not received a response to my message, nor have I received a refund - on the bike or on the shipping cost.

Decathlon On March 25, 2022, I placed an ******************* for several camping items including a tent

On March 25, 2022, I placed an *** for several camping items including a tent. The order total was for $353.99 and was paid by Credit Card at the time of ordering.I was informed that the order would be divided into two parcels. The first parcel arrived Friday April 1st for the items other than the tent. I received an email from Decathlon informing me that all the items had been delivered. When I answered them immediately that this was not the case, I received another email telling me that the missing parcel was still on its way.This final parcel, containing a tent, arrived the next day, left in an unusual place by *** The box was open. The tent was sticking out, too big for the box which had burst open. The tent must have then fallen out since it is soiled.I have written several emails and left a telephone message with the *** but have had no answer, not even an acknowledgment of receipt.I have requested replacement of the item. If they need it returned, they will have to send an appropriate sized box, as forcing the tent back into the box it was sent in will only cause the box to open again. If they cannot do this immediately a refund should de promptly issued. We will then purchase the tent elsewhere. They can retrieve the tent and the shipping box at their convenience.

I refer to my order SG-2W8R6. I paid $314.6 for 2 +$20 delivery fee for 2 black winter wear + 1 white winter wear and 1 winter glove but you deliver only 2 black winter wear + 1 glove. But the white winter wear is confiscated and never sent together with the delivery. I felt cheated and will not purchase on line purchase with your dishonest company. Decathlon Exchange in sizes

I purchased 2 items from Decathlon and received the items with no problem. It didn't fit me so I open an RMA to exchange to another size. Your return request RMA457479 for order USS426359 has been submitted successfully.

Then I received an email that I didn't need to return the original items however I purchased 2 items and only received 1 item in the new size.

Now I am trying to exchange one of the items for the correct size and I get the message that my order number does not exist.

I already sent 5 emails and talked to someone on the chat and still no replies.

It seems to me they did that to receive a good review only.

I really would like to exchange the other item. This is the first time I buy at Decathlon online and probably the last.

Desired outcome: Exchange the item to another one that fits me.

Decathlon Material Overclaim from Customers - Crystal Internation

Crystal International Sri Lanka operation is over claim for the material under BOM consumption and it is above the normal consumption.The excess stock is sold to some of buyers and earn some extra at the cost of the customers.

They are maintaining a separate location in Katunayake to store these fabric stock even hiding from the customers.

Desired outcome: Please better to check and as a result of this the prices are overed better to avoid this cheating and as a result Srilanka market is not becoming competitive

The pending refund amount request was made 3 times and details below
- 14th Jun21, Spoke to Mr. Abhijith requesting for refund and committed to resolve the issue in 24hrs.
- 20th Jun21, Spoke to Ms. Soumya requesting for refund and committed to resolve the issue the same day.
23rd Jun21, Spoke to Mr. Chandra requesting for refund and committed to resolve the issue within 24 hrs.

Is M/S Decathelon in effort to cheat customers in India or serious about their business?.

Hope the issue gets resolved in next 24hrs.

Decathlon Racial discrimination

I am a decathlon loyal customer and I live in Rome. I purchased an electric bike from decathlon via appia nouva. I went to the shop to change the brake cables on 12 march. I directly went to the workshop and there were three people working. I asked the first man I saw if it was possible to change the cables. He then told me to speak in Italian. I am an Asian student. I speak only English. He said to me, this is Italy and you have to speak in Italian or we won't change it. And later he was talking to colleagues about my language problem and mocking at me... Is it the way an international group staff handles customers? He doesn't even know how to be polite and talk gently... He was humiliating me in front of his friends and showing a kind of racist behavior. I wonder there are this kind of narrow minded racist people live among us. I don't know why decathlon promotes racists like him to unethically behave like this. It does not decathlon guide their staff or don't they teach them how to interact with different sorts of people... The manager came and told me like he might have personal problems that made him nervous. Is the working place a place to demonstrate the total amount of his personal problems...? Do the customers have to suffer his anger or racial and unethical behavior for the sake of his personal problems...? I hope decathlon will really look into the matter and guide its staff not to be racial with the customers.

Decathlon Customer portal is not updating delivery completion status and installation is not initiated

Customer portal is not updating delivery completion status and Installation is not initiated.

Order ID : [protected]

Product EL 520 - Cross Trainer was delivered on 29th Sept 2020. The Customer portal is still not showing delivery is completed.

Decathlon Customer care - says they will not provide installation and asking to contact stores.

Stores are not attending for the installation and do not have ETA when hey would attend.

This is frustrating and not able to return the product as the product still shows undelivered on portal.

This clearly shows Decathlon is playing with customers intentionally.

Delivery charges have been paid Rs. 1016.1 and delivery person clarified that he has submitted the signed copy of accepting the delivery on my door step. It is more than 2 days now still customer portal shows item is on way to delivery.

Decathlon Online purchase - false notification provided (fraud)

I put in an order to Decathlon (Malaysia) website on 31st March and payment have been made with confirmation that the order and payment received.
On 6th April (after 7 days), I received a notification that the order has been forwarded to DHL e-Commerce team. A tracking number was provided.
I took contact with DHL on 7th April and was informed that they have not received anything from Decathlon. I checked on 8th April on the tracking number provided by Decathlon on DHL e-Commerce page and was informed that the tracking number provided was invalid and they have not received the package from Decathlon to be delivered to me.

Tried calling their hotline number provided but no one is answering. The customer service hotline is non-existence. They just provide a number but no one picks up the call. I have called like 10 times yesterday and nobody is picking up. I have sent messages to 2 email addresses, which no reply as well.

My point is, do not set up an online purchase site if you do not have such service. Decathlon being such a big and international organisation should not resort to such scam. Decathlon Ordered a cycle

First of all I ordered a cycle from Decathlon by store pickup method and paid instantly to through online payment . I did online payment because the cycle I liked was not instock . Decathlon staff said that it come in 3-4 days after one week I came and ask about it they said that it will come in more 2-3 days . I didn't got any email about delivered or anything like that I only got about shipping . After Total 3 weeks I was not having any information about my order then I complaint on the customer care desk from which Decathlon branch I ordered .1 Staff members said that they will email by themselves and cancel it because I was shifting my home to another place so I don't want it anymore and it was very late . Now it's more than a month I still don't have any information about my order cancellation and staff that told me that she will cancel it is not responding at all . So in starting this said that order will be delivered in 3-4 days and now it's been more than a month. So this is very inconvenient for any of customer . This is that Decathlon is very good International Company but in my case it is totally wrong even worse than local company I don't know that this company scammed me

My reply to them
No compensation for all this delay and inconvenience I change my flight date 2 times and each time i am paying for administration fees for changing the date .
And by the way I place the order of 9 th of sept and on each items where very clear about expecting deliver 3 to 4 days and only one item was 5 to 7 days .
So if I place the order on the 9th and add the maximum days to deliver 7 days I should receive my items by 16 of September .
Today we are 24th ! So 8 days delay this is few days for you ?
1- delay .
2-very bad customer service responding
3-removing items from the order 1 time because you said it will take longer time and
4- the second item was because system issue

5- and also the refund for the item euro 14.98/- I didn't receive any proof of refund from you by email .
I got only for the first item !

6- I insist that I will be Waiting for my compensation of 200 euro the money I pay to change my ticket 2 times and to have this credit voucher of euro 200/- to use in any decathlon stores worldwide for a period for a year .

Decathlon Selling of non durable sport shoes

Respected,
This is to request to the concerned authority at decathelon that I have purchased a sport shoes from your Lucknow, UP store on 5th march 2019.

It is just 4 months from the date of purchase and my shoes have been torned from the edges. This is so unprofessional of decathelon to sell such non-durable products.

I will be highly obliged if the concerned authority take cognizance of the situation and resolve the issue at first hand.
