Vizio - poor customer service wont honor warranty

i bought a vizio 24" tv hook it all up and all good so I thought, theres a problem with the componets in back (bad connector or wiring my guess) so when I try to play a dvd there is no color just balck and white image, it doesn't recognize one set of cables (composite) only on component does it recognize it,
so after countless attempts and new cables, tryin other dvd player with same result it has to be issue with the componets on tv (faulty )
spent hours trying to get it fixed under warranty (just bought day before I called) and all I get was incompetent staff who have...

My 47 inch television is starting to go. First I thought it was my playstation because my television is under three years old. Which I paid over 1500.00. For this television. After 9 months of owning our 47” Vizio LCD TV, the volume began muting itself and the only recourse was to either change the channel or restart the TV. Around the same time, it began to randomly shut itself off (no picture, no sound). After calling customer service in 12/11, technical repair was sent to our home and covered under the 1 yr. warranty. Vizio: Great TV's, Horrible Customer Service, Will Never Buy Again!
Bought a total of 4 Vizio TVs from Costco at the same time. One starting showing multiple colored lines across screen. You have 2 options for returns/repairs. You give them your credit card and they send out a replacement immediately while waiting for you to get their TV. They are just supposed to hold the card in case you don't return the other. Oops, they failed to tell me that if I used a debit card that $450 came out of my account until they received the broken TV and processed. Well this took a grand total...

I got a Vizio Blu Ray Player over 2 years ago and it should also be able to play CDs and DVDs.. It skips CDs and when I turn the thing on.. It is delayed... This is what they Gave us, now, we should have been suspicious, when my Mother-In-Laws box was difference, BUT ours was a different Box, in fact, it didn't even have a Model on it. The only thing it had, was my Wife's name and Order Number on it!

After we got it home and got it set up, we realized something wasn't right. So we called Mom and checked out the difference...

I bought a 32 inch Vizio Plasma HDTV 18 months ago and until recently it worked fine. Then it became harder and harder to power on. It would take as many as 20 tries to power up. Although my warranty was up I was offered a one time in home repair. After 10 customer and support reps nothing has been done. OMG...Are you serious, worst customer service ever. This guy Joseph was no help at all, he told us after talking to him for 2 Min's., that we needed to copy our receipt and mail it somewhere, and they should be able to send someone out to fix it in 6 days. It was a million things that needed to be done, in order for us to have a working T.V. He was rude and all about giving a short answer for everything I asked. Making matters worse, he sounded like he had a mouth full of crap. SOooo my boyfriend called back and talked to a very nice lady named Andrea, she was so helpful, ARE T.V. JUST NEEDED...

Did you know... that if you need to have your NEW Vizio TV sent back for a replacement unit, you will NOT get a new unit unless you pay extra according to Vizio employees that I have spoken with. You will get a recertified unit, which could be something that was previously fixed or if a store has too many, they are sent back to Vizio opened, checked, and sent out. Also...did you know that the warranty on the replacement unit begins when YOU call to request to begin the process NOT once you have received the new or recertified unit. Vizio customer service is the worse that i have ever dealt with. I bought it from Costco and finally I decided to replace it with a Sony. I wasn't asking for my money back, i just wanted them to fix it. They told me i had to plug a DVD into it, I don't have a DVD, so the customer service told me to go borrow one from a neighbor. Purchased 03-06-08 47 in lcd tv, within 2 years unit needed repairs, and now at this day 05-03-11 unit is making a buzzinghissing noise and the screen is very dark, contacted vizio, they can not do anything except try and sell me a "recertified" tv that is the same as what i already have! which has caused me anger and resentment of purchasing!
