Been with state farm for 35 years, we have an amazing agent but our homeowners insurance has screwed us over
September 23rd of 2024 me and my husband had a house fire it was contained to the kitchen with a lot of smoke and 760 gallons of water were put into the kitchen. Gerald Miller which is a cuss word now with us was our first adjuster. He waited almost an entire month to come out so everything had molded and the walls had wicked the water up. He sat there to our face and told me my husband are contractor and our mitigation company that everything was to be gutted except for one room the linen closet and 3/4 of the garage. 39 days later he did his adjusters worksheet he had us cleaning the walls that he told us to take out which we already had. He flat out said that he never told us to got the house. He flat out lied he told three other adults as well as myself it was a full gut. We found out on January 3rd of 2025 that he was no longer our adjuster no other adjuster had reached out to us so we went on to the next incompetent adjuster. Because of Gerald 3/4 of everything we own went to the dump due to mold and wicking. We have heard all along what a large loss this was and I pointed back to Gerald Miller the incompetent first adjuster. Next we had Warren green who was not much help at all we could never get a hold of him and he always griped about how many files he had to work on nothing got done. My husband reached out to his Superior Katina she was amazing she is the only thing good about this whole thing she got a lot done even though she didn't get it all done because once again they changed adjusters on us. I never even talked to Ricardo that was our third adjuster he did absolutely nothing. He did reach out to my husband and he doesn't speak real good English but nothing ever got done with him. Which brings us to last week on June 17th I get a call from our fourth adjuster named Angela. Here it is 9 months later and they have finally assigned somebody to do contents. We hired a mitigation company and a textile company and they have tried for months to upload to their stupid State farm portal all our contents. Numerous times they have tried and it doesn't go through. I get a phone call today from Elizabeth who's in the contents team she then tells me that I have to tell them when I bought something and how much I paid for it we're talking three quarters of the house went to the dump. They make it sound like they're not going to pay us a penny if we don't have that information for them. I have been loyal to State farm and me and my husband have been a pile of crap to them but they all try to avoid stepping in. The house is nowhere near complete and this has been the most expensive journey that me and my husband have ever been through in the 31 years that we've been together. We love our agent, he has always taken good care of us that's Michael Lewis out in Lakewood he's amazing. But as far as State farm on the homeowner's side, it's the worst company that we have had to deal with. In the last 3 months we have watched three houses in the temporary neighborhood that we're living in be built from ground up and because of State farm we are still homeless. It should never be this hard we pay our bills on time we pay good money to insurance to ensure our house so when tragedy does happen they will take care of us. The sad thing is is State farm could care less about me my husband and our house.
I have been with them 22 years and prices is going to high
I have been with this company 22 years my dad longer, these past couple years I have been in the state of Tennessee and in time I have seen my insurance rise. I have called they told me the state cost of living has gone up so they had to as well, They have me on the drive and safe discount and the discount cause there is more then 1 car. The drive and save discount I have done everything, every 6 month the price goes higher. But this time enough is enough, my bill went up over 22 dollars, I called, I was told that I went over my driving limit on my miles and I cant get some of the discount anymore. that these rates will change if I dont drive as much and that there is no guarantee it will go down cause they are going into a new system and prices will change again. So I told them that now I have to pick between my doctor appointments which is an hour away 4 times a month the grocery store which is 45 minutes away 3 times a month and if I drive 5 minutes to see family once a week. The lady I spoke to told me if I go to another company then go. If I go, my dad goes and word of mouth to the church will start. This is very sad that the company we have been with 22 years have been rising prices and I have to pick my doctors appointment or car insurance. Starting a new plan with another company and starting over they will want a very large sum of money just to start. I would say now do not get State Farm go some place else.
Recommendation: Go some place else

We just got notice that our home owners insurance rate was going up about $350 per year! We are senior citizens and have been with State Farm since we purchased our first home in about 1969. Our agent here retired and we were just "assigned" another agent about 3-4 years ago. This agent has never contacted us to introduce himself (we have spoken to him, but only about something on our policy - not because he called us). I was told that we have to pay higher rates because of all the "hail damage" in Minnesota. We did not have that problem and would like to know why our rates go up? State Farm has extra money to sponsor arenas etc, so maybe they should take some of that and not raise our rates.
Recommendation: We are going to change insurance companies and we suggest you do the same!
Buyer beware
We had State Farm and boy was it a mistake. They take your money and write your policy so you’re not covered. Completely dishonest with my experience. They lied many times. I reached out to my attorney he said there the worst one to deal with he said there almost impossible to have them pay for a claim we pay $1300 a month for 3 years only to find out no matter the situation I was in they would make you go after them for a claim to be paid you could have saved the money and payed for the problems you can look on social media and you tube exposing there in ethical tactics. I feel as if I had been robbed and anyone who asks me I will give them my personal experience I could only imagine the poor elderly folk losing there homes and State Farm not paying there claims.
Recommendation: Buyer beware this company did not take care of me and my family auto and sewer back up when we had that specific coverage
I get it, feeling ripped off by an insurance company is beyond frustrating, especially when you've been paying them a substantial amount for years. My advice: don't let them get away with it. Gather all your documentation, every communication, and take your attorney's advice seriously. Push hard for what you're owed. Use social media to your advantage and expose their tactics, rallying others who have been wronged. Insurance companies bank on people giving up — don't be one of those people. Fight back and make them accountable for their promises. Your hard-earned money deserves better.
Best Agents Ever!
Cindy and Sue from the Hillsborough, Nj office, are the best ever. They followup immediately, and are so helpful. I have been with State Farm, and changed agesnt to Cindy, and the best thing I ever did. With the last storm, I cannot tell you how helpful they have been.
State Farm Insurance Co. Is an outstanding organization to rely on. More than satisfied with their
After a devastating barn fire which spread to my home... State Farm has been better than "a good neighbor"! My adjuster, Jennifer, is stellar in understanding my loss and works majic getting things going. Always answers my calls expediently, very knowledgeable and explains things in general terms. Couldnt be happier despite it all.

Great Customer Service experience
I called to review my bill and was promised a return call that never happened. I called approximately 10 days later and spoke with Ms. Julie Wilson. She not only apologized for the dropped ball by another associate, she took time to review, explain and assist. I felt valued and appreciated. It made the difference of me taking my business elsewhere. Thank you, Ms. Wilson. I truly appreciate that customer service is still a thing in business.
State farm is the best!
My husband and I got into a car accident in July 2020, was not back into my home state yet. Car got hit, shoved off a bank and flipped multiple times. I thank God for his hands being put around me and my husband but state farm was there and on it, they had everything ready for me when I got out of the hospital and the next day for the rental car they didn't hesitate or wait for the other guys insurance. They made me feel like we were what they first concern was. I highly recommend State farm.
State Farm Complaints 483
Homeowners claim
I have been a State Farm customer for many years. I filed a claim due to hail damage on April 18, 2025. I had a contractor come to my home and verify the hail damage. State Farm sent an inspector out and the contractor walked with him on the roof and pointed out the damage. State Farm claims verified hail damage on a metal shed and also on the metal chimney tops all over the roof, but denied that the damage to the roof was caused by hail and denied the roof part of the hail damage claim. I contacted them again for a reinspection, and also sent in numerous pictures of the damage.
The claims department did not even send out an inspector and again denied the claim.
I have pointed out a couple of things that don't make sense;
The hail damage on the roof is on the South facing roof, but the north facing roof does not show any of this damage. Claims states this is normal wear and tear.
Secondly, how is it possible to have damage on all the metal caps, and to a metal shed, but not on the roof?
Claimed loss: 5/30/2024
Desired outcome: Pay for roof replacement per policy

Roof
I have had several companies come out and look at my roof. One of them State Farm recommended. State Farm also sent out an adjuster.
They all took pictures and made markings on the roof.
They all told me my roof had a lot of hail damage and blistering. It needed to be replaced.
The person handling the claim from State Farm called me the evening of 4/19/25. Told me I had no damage on my roof. I asked are you looking at the same pictures and markings all over my roof. Nails coming out, holes in my shingles everywhere. Again, no damage to my roof.
Everyone that came out even the persons sent from State Farm told me good luck getting them to fix the roof. I should use Safeco with Liberty Mutual; they take care of their clients. They don't take care of their clients. I asked him what my next step is. Get a roof inspector or an attorney. He responded good luck with that.
Claimed loss: No loss yet. When the roof goes to leaking there will be. I'm told there is nothing wrong with it.
Desired outcome: Replace my roof before there is damage on the inside of my home. The adjuster has all the photos. Here is some

Car insurance
State Farm canceled my 2 car insurances without sending us a letter or email.
We also canceled a liability policy because the tripled the cost. We found a new company and canceled the policy but State Farm Fairlawn NJ never canceled the insurance and now a collection company is trying to collect on a canceled policy
I’m now getting very high car insurance rates because I was canceled and I did not replace the insurance

Privacy violations state farm unlawfully disclosed our corporate policy information with someone not listed on our policy nor obtained our consent!
Mr. Marquis L. Kimble
HCV Distribution Corporation Inc
February 7, 2025
Ohio Department of Insurance,
30 East Broad Street,
Columbus, OH 43215
Dear Honorable Members of the Ohio Department of Insurance file number-CSD0099008,
We yet are writing to bring to your immediate attention again the disregarded egregious violations of our rights and privacy by State Farm Fire and Casualty Company. We have received a new refusal to resolve amicably response from State Farm's legal representatives, dated February 6, 2025, in which they consistently deny and ignore any accountability for the serious breaches of our corporate policy information.
As you are aware, we have previously reported these incidents to your office, and we have provided substantial evidence to support our allegations, including sworn testimony under oath and video evidence. Despite our ongoing efforts to resolve these issues, State Farm continues to disregard our rights and ignore the Ohio Revised Code.
Specifically, we have highlighted the following serious violations:
1. Unauthorized disclosure of our corporate claim information to an unauthorized third party, leading to the complete loss of our business and property.
2. Breach of our privacy rights, as State Farm has unlawfully disclosed our private corporate claim information to individuals not listed on the policy and without obtaining written consent from the policyholder.
3. Discriminatory treatment, as evidenced by State Farm's defamatory and derogatory statements about my physical appearance during the claims process.
These actions are in direct contravention of the Ohio Revised Code, which clearly states that an individual must be listed on the policy or have obtained written consent before sharing our private corporate claim information.
We are yet again requesting that the Ohio Department of Insurance take immediate action to:
1. Investigate these serious violations and determine the necessary consequences for State Farm's actions.
2. Ensure that State Farm complies with Ohio insurance laws and regulations, particularly those related to privacy and disclosure of information.
3. Hold State Farm accountable for its breach of contract and unfair practices, which have resulted in significant financial and reputational losses to HCV Distribution Corporation.
The attached documentation, including sworn testimony under oath and video evidence, supports our allegations and demands attention to the urgent need for intervention. We have also filed complaints with multiple regulatory agencies, social media platforms, and online platforms, highlighting our experiences and responses.
We expect a prompt response regarding the actions the Ohio Department of Insurance will take to address these serious violations. We request that you include the attached information with the ongoing matter regarding HCV Distribution Corporation and State Farm, which remains unresolved and disregarded by State Farm and its legal representatives. I must express my extreme disappointment and distress at the recent refusal by State Farm to resolve our matter outside of court proceedings, despite providing substantial documented evidence of severe privacy violations and breaches of our rights. As a business owner, I am appalled by their willful disclosure of our company's sensitive corporate claim information to unauthorized parties without our consent. Over two years ago, we reported a series of egregious incidents to State Farm, including the unauthorized disclosure of our sensitive corporate claim information to Deborah McSurley, a trustee, and I Marquis Kimble, a buyer, as evidenced by the recorded and filed land purchase agreement. Despite sworn testimony and videographic admissions from State Farm's former agent, Jeff Lambert, and other individuals involved, State Farm continues to disregard and ignore these actions. The consequences of their negligence have been devastating. Our company suffered a second burglary while under an active policy during a baseless, unlawful over-extended 250-day period.
This action was the direct result of State Farm's unlawful disclosure of our corporate claim information, which facilitated the burglary. Then we were advised that we didn't make a claim although their online platform would not allow us to. Their continued negligence has now forced us to file legal action despite the numerous previously provided evidence highlighting these severe actions in Fulton County court. This has been disregarded despite the supporting complaint which identified Deborah McSurley as the suspect responsible for the total loss of our company's assets and property, also allowing her access to private information containing multiple individuals' private details. I am appalled by the lack of accountability and responsibility shown by State Farm in this regard. Furthermore, State Farm's actions have led to significant financial losses, including the loss of business property containing customers' personal information. I am deeply concerned about the multiple pending identity theft cases currently being filed by multiple of our previous customers, which were facilitated due to State Farm's negligence.
We are compelled to bring this matter to your attention, as we have provided clear supporting evidence to both State Farm and your department previously. We urge you to intervene and assist us in holding State Farm accountable for these clear violations of our rights and privacy. The lack of accountability from State Farm has been staggering, and their flagrant, shameless response further highlights the mistreatment and discriminatory actions that we have continued to experience. The defamatory statements made against me personally, the false allegations of insurance fraud, and the breach of contract and defamation of character committed by State Farm are further examples of the pure racial discrimination and bad faith practices that we have endured. We strongly implore and urge your department to take immediate action to address this matter and hold State Farm accountable for their actions. In light of this severe neglect, we are left with no choice but to take legal action, despite our best efforts to resolve this matter amicably. We request that your department intervenes and assists us in holding State Farm accountable for these serious offenses of the law and disregard of our rights and privacy.
Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter. We look forward to your correspondence, including an official update on the findings of this investigation.
Sincerely,
Mr. Marquis L. Kimble

* Sworn testimony under oath
* Video evidence- State Farm agent Jeff Lambert admitting to unlawful discussions with Deborah McSurley and members of her family concerning HCV Distribution Corporation. This unethical behavior supports the violations of our privacy committed by both State Farm Fire and Casualty Company corporate offices as well as our former agent Jeff Lambert.
* Documentation detailing the timeline of events- A formal demand letter sent and received by Deborah McSurley from our former legal representative documenting a timeline of events and the activity that transpired after State Farm corporate offices unlawfully disclosed our corporate claim determination to Deborah McSurley who is responsible for the complete loss of our business and its property and assets. As of today we have not received any of the remaining property, inventory or items that were on the premises during State Farm's baseless investigation which lasted over 250 calendar days resulting in a wrongful denial of coverage as well as false allegations of insurance fraud committed by me personally without any evidence to support these severe allegations. This defamed my professional name, career and image beyond repair. I have attached the denial detailing these false allegations. It is important to know that although this is a corporate claim, the entire investigation, questioning and documenting was based solely on me personally ignoring the fact that our corporation has been registered with the state of Ohio with records on file since 2019. State Farm did not attempt to contact any of the additional officers or partners of our organization at any time during their baseless investigation. Attached is the sworn statement from the members of our organization. This supports that State Farm did not conduct a full thorough investigation as required by the terms of the policy supporting the breach of contract that we have experienced disregarded and ignored. Despite providing this information to State Farm at their request, they did not attempt to contact, interview or document any statement from any of the additional members of our organization. Additionally, although they disclosed our claim information with the suspect responsible for the burglarization of our business and all of its assets, they did not attempt to interview McSurley or document any statements despite the formal complaint filed in Fulton County detailing her actions after being notified of the denial by State Farm. This significant breach of our corporate policy information, has now resulted in numerous potential identity theft cases by our former customers as their personal information was unlawfully accessed and disclosed.
* Property recorded purchase agreement detailing the purchase agreement identifying Deborah McSurley Trustee for the McSurley Trust as the Seller of the property and I was the purchaser of the property. This information was filed and recorded with Fulton County yet still disregarded and ignored by State Farm. Deborah McSurley's only position concerning HCV Distribution Corporation was that of the " property mortgage lien holder" and did not have authorization from our corporation giving State Farm permission for disclosure. This is a significant violation of our rights and privacy that continues to be overlooked by State Farm and their legal representatives. Regardless of the reason this information was shared and disclosed, it was disclosed by State Farm to someone who is not listed on our policy, didn't obtain written consent from any of the members of our organization, and based upon the answers given under oath, didn't even have our policy number yet State Farm corporate offices disclosed our corporate claim information to this individual. This is a serious violation of our rights and privacy as well as the Ohio laws governing insurance standards and procedures.
* Previous legal representatives' letters highlighting bad faith treatment
* Social media visit logs by State Farm employees
Ohio Revised Code Sections:
* § 4112: Unlawful discriminatory practices
* Insurance laws and regulations, particularly those related to privacy and disclosure of information.
1. Privacy violations: The allegations include unlawful disclosure of corporate insurance claim information to unauthorized third parties, which violates Ohio Revised Code Section 3904.13 and the Ohio Insurance Information and Privacy Protection Act. This section prohibits insurance companies from disclosing policy information including claim determinations to any person that is not listed on the policy or hasn't obtained written consent from the policyholder. We assert that HCV Distribution Corporation or none of its officers provided State Farm at any time written consent to disclose our private corporate claim information with Deborah McSurley. We have provided your office with the property purchase agreement which verifies that Deborah McSurley solely functioned as the mortgage lien holder and did not have authorization from our corporation for disclosure of our sensitive claim details by State Farm. Although State Farm continues to ignore and deny this violation, this is a direct contradiction to The Ohio Revised Code that protects consumers private information and is a violation of our rights and privacy.
2. Discriminatory Actions:
"Client showed up wearing a blue suit, loud tie, with an excessive amount of jewelry"
~State Farm~ Published while determining corporate insurance claim
It is not a fair practice for State Farm to publish such personal and subjective observations about a client during the claims process.
This behavior raises several concerns:
Privacy violation: Publishing personal details about a client's appearance and demeanor is a breach of privacy and confidentiality expected in professional insurance dealings
Irrelevance to claim: A client's attire, jewelry, or perceived personality traits are irrelevant to the legitimacy of an insurance claim and should not factor into the determination process
Potential bias: Such comments suggest a subjective bias that could unfairly influence the claim evaluation, leading to wrongful denial of coverage
Unprofessional conduct: Publishing such observations is unprofessional and goes against standard practices in the insurance industry
Potential for discrimination: These comments could be seen as discriminatory, especially if they lead to adverse claim decisions.
3. Alleged stalking of social media platforms: In a 25 period time frame,we have documented multiple employees including management from State Farm have been visiting my personal social media platforms. See the attached supporting evidence.
Federal Laws:
* Fair Housing Act
* Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964

Claim resolution problems-no communication from state farm
I am currently having difficulty obtaining any information or updates from State Farm regarding my claim (State Farm Claim No: 22-73B6-40Z).
On 08/27/2024 lightning struck my home and damaged my roof, alarm system, sauna, and several appliances and devices. The same day, I made an insurance claim and received my claim number from State Farm. The claim has been transferred through 6 or 7 Adjusters and I'm not sure who the current Adjuster is.
I put together a spreadsheet including the damaged item, model numbers and etc., and sent the list to the email address State Farm Provided. My current damage estimate is over $25,000. I have spent thousand's of dollars (out of my pocket) on repairs and replacements of some of the damaged items However, its been several weeks, and I have not been able to get any response what-so-ever (reimbursement, information or updates) from State Farm... even though one of the State Farm Adjusters verbally told me to go ahead and repair and replace those items.
State Farm has very poor Claims Adjusters and practices. I highly recommend not depending on State Farm for you insurance needs.

My grandpa has been with state farm insurance since the 1960's. We have had great service up until the last 6 years. Everyone has always told me they were $#*! And told me all bad things about them but I always stood up for them. Well i'm here to say that was a slap in the face. We have filed a total of 8 claims this whole 60 years he's been with them. 3 for car wrecks, 1 being our fault, 1 being both parties fault, and the other one being the other parties fault but they did not have insurance so state farm had to cover it. Another claim was when my car got stolen. There's was $1500 of damage done to it when it was stolen. They spent $15,000 fifteen thousand dollars bringing in state farm lawyers and investigators to try to prove my daughters dad and I were lying about it getting stolen. Mind you it would
Have been only $1500 to fix the problem. They treated us like criminals and racially profiled my daughters dad, even tried to get us put in jail for fraud. But guess what they couldn't because we did not lie, it was not fraud, my car really got stollen. They are ignorant and even belittled me so much it made me cry. Which infuriated my grandpa and he confronted our representative about it and he said "there's nothing I can do that's what they do to people" they have lied to us multiple times. They cancelled my road side assistance because I had 2 incidences "too close together"
We pay by the 6 months. I pay for my cars I own and my grandpa pays for the other cars because we are on a family plan. Well last time it was due it was $800 each for my cars. It's usually $600 each. I thought it was a one time thing and I paid it. But then I got another bill for $800 for the 6 months for each car. So I asked my insurance representative why it went up $200. He said he didn't know and he couldn't figure out why. There was also nothing he could do about it. They also called us and told us we were late on an insurance payment (again we pay by the 6 months) but they called 5 months into this last payment (that was most definitely paid I have plenty of proof) and said we were late on that payment. Why would you just now be contacting us if we were 5 months late on a payment and we still have coverage. So she went back through her system and called us said that she was "wrong" that it popped up it is due next month and she thought that meant we missed a payment. Is she dumb or what? Then proceeded to tell us we were 2 car payments past due. Which isn't true. And how would she know if it had been true. We never have been late on a payment. We are actually 2 months ahead on every car payment we have. So I called the bank that gave us the loan for this car and they said they have not communicated with state farm at all. That that would be illegal to do without our consent. That when someone calls about an account, they have to verify they are that person, and then everything that is discussed and done is written in the notes of that phone call and put with that account so they can go back and look for future reference and such. I know someone that recently stopped working for them and she said I quote "I will not work for a company that is dishonest, deceives, doesn't care about their clients, tries to screw them over, does not act in way insurance companies should or any company should, and treats people like criminals. We are here to help not to screw people over. But state farm does just that. Their clients pay extremely high prices but cant use their insurance half the time because state farm is trash and wants to fight every claim that's filed. I have morals and values and working for them makes me look bad. I can't believe the things they are doing to people and the way they are treating people. I will not work for a company that is more than greedy, takes advantage of people and manipulates people. I'm thinking about calling the better business bureau and I encourage you all to as well!"
I know for a fact (from another person I know that currently works there and is getting ready to quit because of that horrible things state farm does) that they will do absolutely anything and add fake charges to people's bills just to get extra money.
So with that being said state farm this is what I have to say to you for screwing all your customers over (especially ones like my family that have been with you for 60 plus years) and not doing right by us. Screw you. I hope the whole company goes out of business and it really shows what kind of people yall are.
Remember when you said you would drop me if I filed a very very small claim well heres me dropping you horrible people.

Read full review of State FarmHomeowners insurance claim
Having held homeowners insurance with State Farm for over 26 years, I found the following handling of my 1st claim to be horrendous!
(Problem was water entering living room floor of residence.)
Claim filed 12/9/23, assigned to claims rep 12/11/23. I tried repeatedly to contact rep, Mike Smith, to no avail. He Says he left me voicemails, which he did not.He also says he left my wife voicemails, which he did not.
I sent numerous photos and a video to Aliya Thomas at State Farm, claims office.
After 2 weeks with no contact, I was forced to have exterior reseal work started as I continued to have water entering the house. I informed State Farm that work had begun due to no response from them.
After 3 weeks, I finally tracked down Mike Smith and was told he would look into it and get back to me. He never contacted me and nobody ever came to the house to inspect for determining claim validity.
On 1/29/24, I get a call that the claim was denied. I asked how this could be when nobody ever visited the house for inspection. I received no logical answer. She said it could be the foundation cracked, therefor would not be covered. The contractor that did the exterior repairs, Real Seal Corp., themselves stated they did not know the exact root cause, but foundation crack unlikely.
After 26 years of homeowners coverage with State Farm and zero claims, I would expect a more professional outcome. This was totally mismanaged and the outcome is totally unacceptable!
Thank you for your time and consideration.

I need get paid urgently for all that expenses for I can come back to my cancer treatment.

Racial discrimination, defamation of character, bad faith and breach of contract
The video located at the following link: https://youtu.be/StH4L_uzdbw?si=1-xK9YZwy0Ci69NI reveals a distressing event in which an African business owner was subjected to an act of robbery, driven by racial discrimination. It is essential that we collectively endeavor to make this video go viral to ensure that it gets the attention it rightly deserves.
In addition to the appalling robbery, I was erroneously denied business insurance coverage, resulting in a severe impact on my livelihood. Regrettably, my character was defamed within the community, and false accusations of criminal activity were publicly disseminated. Shockingly, derogatory remarks were even made about my appearance during court proceedings, which were designed to undermine my legitimate claim. Their description of my attire as "braggadocious" describing my clothing as "loud" as well as "wearing a bunch of jewelry" and cited accessories were clearly an attempt to discredit me unjustly and paint a picture falsely accusing me as to having something to do with this awful crime against my own business. State Farm's representation also published these defamatory comments about my appearance which had absolutely nothing to do with the claim or the nature of the incident on public documents! This is what is documented as their reason for denial of this legitimate insurance claim.
Over the span of a year, I diligently submitted the requested documents, only to face ongoing stalling tactics from the insurance company, culminating in the ultimate denial of my claim. Despite the absence of any substantiating evidence or proof against me, I was treated as a criminal instead of a victim. It is important to note that my record holds no criminal history, and I maintain a clean driving record, as verified by a comprehensive background check. Furthermore, I am a licensed minister registered with the state of Ohio, a certified tax preparer, and a recognized notary agent in Lucas County.
To compound the distressing situation, law enforcement officials arrived at my establishment significantly delayed, despite timely notifications from my alarm company. Upon their arrival, I was subjected to fingerprinting and an interrogation that further eroded both my business and personal dignity. This sequence of events is truly astonishing and warrants immediate attention.
I implore you to watch the video and share it widely within your networks to help raise awareness and challenge racial discrimination. By uniting against such injustices, we can make a substantial difference in our society. Please take a moment to watch this video and help us make it go viral! It shows the shocking racial discrimination that led to an African business owner being robbed of his entire business. I was wrongfully denied business insurance coverage, and my character was defamed throughout the community. I was falsely accused of committing a crime, and this information was publicly published. The court documents even made derogatory remarks about my attire, stating, "Client appeared to be very braggadocious, showed up at the meeting wearing a blue suit with a LOUD tie with a bunch of jewelry on," all in an effort to deny my legitimate claim. For an entire year, I patiently provided the same requested documents, only for the insurance company to prolong their decision to deny the claim. Despite having no evidence or proof against me, and despite having a spotless record with a clean criminal background check and a perfect driving record, I was treated as a criminal rather than a victim. It is important to note that I am a licensed minister registered with the state of Ohio, a certified tax preparer, and a recognized notary agent in Lucas County. To make matters worse, I was robbed not only of my business but also of my dignity. I was fingerprinted and interrogated by law enforcement who arrived at my business over an hour late, even though they were notified promptly by my alarm company. GOOD DAY SIR/MA'AM,
I am contacting you in reference to a request that was made by my son 2 months ago and most recently by myself a week ago. My son is trying to update his military clearance and his driving history, as well as my reflecting a non-moving violation on a vehicle that was once in my name but signed over to him.
My mother was the primary policy holder at that time, but she expired in January 2018. Because we are stationed in a different state, I do not have access to those records without traveling to Arkansas. However, I did reach out to her agent, Mr. Archie Sanders. Mr. Sanders had his office manager provide me with my mother's policy number and then advised me to contact your customer service representatives to retrieve the documentation needed. He advised that State Farm would have it archive but with the policy number they should be able to pull it up immediately and send us the information we need it which was coverage for 2018 through 2019 on the 2000 Ford Crown Victoria and the 2007 Saturn Ion.
I waited on hold over an hour for a representative to reach out to your claims department because they did not have the power of attorney on file that had been submitted to three of your agents in 2021 and uploaded through my son's portal. He also provided the power of attorney directly via email, and none of the POA could be found, but they were all accessible in 2021. It is something that needs to be corrected because I should not have had to wait for the representative to verify the power of attorney when it was something we put in place 2 years ago. The POA and death Certificate were sent to your claims department multiple times.
It's been over a month since he requested this documentation, and I don't have the letter, nor does he. I need the documentation that I requested immediately. I do not have to have a drafted letter. You can simply send me my mother's statements for 2018 and 2019, but in either case, we need the documentation expeditiously.
I am requesting your immediate assistance to have this matter resolved as soon as possible. It is imperative that clearance be solidified today. Moreover, I don't want this to be an issue for my clearance moving forward, either. I'm asking you to step in and rectify this issue. If we cannot get the documents, we requested a month ago today I will have to have my Military Jag Attorney step in to get this issue resolved.
Sincerely,
Pamela Washington (POA for Jalend R Washington)
Claims settlement for sewer backup on my residence
End of Aug, we had hard rain resulting in sewer backup in my home,
34821 Michelle Dr., Romulus, Mi 48174 (claim 2255C229J). Your People right there, Serve Pro did 100% excellent job. Agent Curtis stated you would take care of everything, not to worry. About 1 month later I received a check in the mail for about $9800.00. I called Curtis Wolf, told him I had a check, where he told me it was mine to use as I see fit. Well I paid down some credit cards and purchased a much needed recliner for my wife. As we live on my S.S. and pension, Approx 4000.00 month, I felt real good with both Serve pro and State farm until I started getting calls from Serve
pro asking for payment. I contacted my agent, again he told me check was mine, and that claims was still working on settlement. Friday Serve pro called demanding payment as account was past due. Again contacted Agent Wole, where he sent email that the check set to me was to go to Serve pro... I do not have the money, and as it was Agent Wolfs error, it should be his problem to settle with Serve pro. I still have about $3200 left, I can remit it back to State Farm.
Please settle this Once and for well.
There was also a settlement with dumpster rental I am eating for about $370.00 or so.
Thank you
Donald Broilo

Claimed loss: Total of $20,000.00 or so, my share is now $9324.00 for ServePro
Desired outcome: A settlement of $9800.00 paid to Serve Pro, Minus the $3200 left on the monies paid to me.
Excuses to not pay for body work
my car was damaged while in the parking lot at a flea market. I did not see the damage to my car until the next day. I was told that because I didn't file a police report or have proof of what happened via a video camera I would have to pay for the damages myself or if they paid for it then my insurance rates would go really high.
My agent NEVER tried to call me about the situation. They said that they had but I answered all of my calls for weeks. I was also punished for not using the drive safe and save beacon. Then the last thing that happened is they have my debit card on file for auto pay. They tried charging me twice in one month so the funds were not there. I was getting billed through the mail to my old address and they have my new one! So they canceled my car insurance.
Desired outcome: I want to know that the agent in Wendell NC will be spoken to about this mess
Auto insurance
My Catalytic Converter was cut off my truck while I was on business in Houston, TX. Being that I live in Utah and was over a thousand miles from home this was scary for me. This happened on a Saturday so I tried calling my Agent, Vincent Campo out of the 8155 S 4800 W, West Jordan, Ut 84088 location of State Farm. There was no response, I texted him, still no response. I went through the 24 hour claims service after that, I was placed on hold for hours and hours at a time then had the call drop multiple times. I then had the rental car company try to contact the State Farm 24 hour service, they were put on hold for hours...I was on hold at the same time as the rental shop waiting for ANYONE to answer and save me from this nightmare. Still no response. The rental company had to close and I almost was stranded without a rental car, I begged the rental company to allow me to take a vehicle, luckily they did.
I had to convince Elite Rental Cars in Houston to allow me to take a vehicle so I could actually get my truck towed to the Toyota Dealership and transfer my items to this new vehicle. I was stranded from 7AM until 3PM on Saturday with no way to get a hold of anyone from State Farm. I had to take care of all my own items with zero help from my insurance...simply because it was not during normal business hours! Do accidents only happen during normal business hours? No they don't...
I have been paying out of pocket to stay in Texas for the past 3 days with NOT ONE CALL FROM STATE FARM! I finally called them yesterday morning and I expressed my disappointment to the agent I spoke to who assured me he will be calling the service dept at Toyota and the rental company to take care of my claim...that was at 9AM and it is now 8AM the next day and they still have not called the Toyota Dealership to get my truck taken care of so I can get back home. The Toyota Service dept keeps telling me they will not release my truck until State Farm calls them...I have left multiple messages to have State Farm(Nathan) call them and get this taken care of, they still have not done so. I am still stranded in Texas and it is now Tuesday...I have been stranded in Texas since Saturday, that is 4 days of being stranded with almost zero help from State Farm, zero sense of urgency to help me...I am appalled by the service I have received from State Farm.
I have been with State Farm for over 10 years and have bundled my home, a rental property, a 4 wheeler, a trailer and my truck through them. This is how I am being treated...
Claimed loss: I am still stranded in Texas with no help from State Farm.......Still waiting
Desired outcome: I need my vehicle back so I can go home!!!
Car repair
In July 2023 a tree fell on my car during a storm. My car is 2 years old and in perfect condition, up until that storm. State Farm sends me to a body shop that did not fix the damage but actually made it worse. Now state farm sends me to 2nd body shop after the state estimator came and looked at damage. Now 2nd body is not doing any better with fixing the damage. They 1st body shop got over spray paint all over the interior of my car, it is on the leather seats the dash, the speakers and vents. The inner lining of the roof has greasy hand prints and smudges all over. It is quite dirty and disgusting. This was a minor job that turned into a huge job.
Where do I go for help since my state farm agent is not helping me
Claimed loss: I have paid out of pocket for car rentalsI have spent countless hours on the phone with state farm claimsI have spent hours crying at the lack of care with fixing minor damage to my car and turning into a huge damage issue
Desired outcome: I want my 2020 CRV back in the perfect condition it was in. I also want the money I have shelled out for rental cars. I also want pain and suffering compensation.
