The website said they would take away old bedding. They would not remove the old mattress, I had to pay someone to take it away. The online serta, is a hired marketing firm contracted by seta. They were horrible to deal with, once the sale was done, they could care less about your 3500.00 purchase. The epic I comfort still Sleeps hot even though it has the gel system. You can't find a phone number to talk to the company direct, which tells me how much they concern themselves with their customers. The entire shopping experience gets an F, in my opinion. After hours dealing with their online...
On Nov 4, 2011 I purchased a Serta Mattress and foundation at the Northwoods mall store. I had a tenative delivery date of 11/17. I was told that they would call me the day before, with a time frame (4 hour window) for delivery. I was also given instructions about clearing a path to the room where it was to go, etc. Delivery call was not recieved, so I called customer care. They said that the foundation arrived soiled and was rejected. Also told that the mattress and box springs are “custom made” when ordered, hence the delivery delay. Told that the truck only comes every 10 days from...
I purchased expensive mattress $1, 600 in Feb 2011 - Serta Better Homes and Garden from Mattress World in Shelby Twp., MI. By October 2011, one side of the mattress is unsleepable. When it is put to it's intended use [sleeping on it] it has an over 4" dip in the middle. When laying in it, your head and feet are elevated way higher than the middle of your body. The representative I contacted refuses to do ANYTHING because one must show the bed 'sags two inches WITHOUT ANY WEIGHT ON IT.
I find this ludicrous --it's memory foam. I explained that I don't care...
I purchased a queen Serta mattress from Macy's. From the first time we slept on it we realized that every time my wife or I moved, the entire mattress moved and shook the other person. It's so bad that even when our cocker spaniel paws at the bed on one side, the person sleeping on the other side is woken up by the movement. We exchanged the once without cost. The second mattress did the same thing. I now must pay a restocking fee to return the second one. I contacted Serta and they simply replied that they do not set return policies for their retailers....
Purchase a mattress from Sears in El cajon California less than four years ago.
Mattress is sagging on the side. told today by representative from sears that mattress is not under warranty today, 4/17/11.
there are only three things covered per sears representative, springs poking through, sagging in the middle, and handles on the side torn.
told that if I read the warranty from Serta that I could see what is covered. I paid close to 1000.00 dollars for this mattress.
thanks Sears. I will be returning the mattress to your store. A customer no longer. I will also tell...
We purchased a Serta Perfect Sleeper Island Palm king size mattress. Within weeks we began experiencing back pain and the mattress visibly sagged and the sides were broken down. According to Serta customer service (1-888-557-3782) this is a normal Serta mattress.
The warranty requires sag of 1.5 inches when measured from side to side over a 1.5 inch block of wood. I asked how a side to side measurement can be accurate when the sides are part of the problem. They said that it their standard method to measure. The 15 inch mattress is barely 13.5 on the sides, but that is a normal mattress...
I purchased a Serta mattress from Hom Furniture in Fargo, ND 4 years ago and I too had a mattress that began to develop a divot in two places on the mattress, one so bad that sleeping on it causes my spine to become misaligned and create back pain.
I have had difficulty getting some sort of satisfaction as to the Mattress and the technician they sent out basically stated that it was not in pristine condition so it won't be warranteed. They stated "Had I purchased their mattress protector then Serta and Hom would in fact have warranteed the mattress (their cover being about...
We purchased a Majesty Firm mattress from Mattress Giant(who no longer sells Serta mattresses) Frisco Texas. on 10/08/08. We noticed immediately that the mattress sinks when the body weight is applied & we paid for a technician to investigate but he just blew us off & left.
Mattress Giant no longer sells or has anything to do w/ Serta., so I am left w/ a $876 piece of junk.
Please advise how I can get assistance with this matter.
We bought a Serta Panorama bed for 1500$ 3 years ago for a wedding present to ourselves. This has been a nightmare of a mattress. I am pregnant and miserable, my poor husband wakes with back and neck problems every morning because he gets the deeper of the two holes in the mattress.
The warranty process has lasted months now. After paying 45$ to have someone inspect the mattress and finding it faulty... they now want to add 80$ to have them pick it up and redeliver it after they do a "quick fix" in the factory.
We bought a Serta "Rourke" queen set in Southern California and it was so full of odor and gasses I had to return it in one week. I slept on it three times and my sinuses and throat were adversely affected and I had headaches from it.
The sales manager recommended an exchange saying it may have had too much fire retardant in it. California has a state law requiring all mattresses be treated with chemical fire retardants but there is no identification on any labeling showing what chemicals are used in this treatment. Or the odor may be from the manufacturing materials.
I purchased a Serta Mattress 5 weeks ago. After 2 weeks, noticeable
indents began showing up in the mattress . . . it has a worn look
already . . and is already sinking in the center. The rep for
Serta came to my house (Darrell) and told me it was normal
wear for a mattress. He said it is only sinking 1/4 inch NOT
and in order for the warranty to be effective, it has to be
sinking 1 3/4 inches. He told me to turn the mattress ever
2 weeks. (i am 72 years old). I am not a big person. Less
than 140 lbs. I sleep alone. This mattress cost me $1800
My husband & I bought a top of the line pillowtop Serta Exploration, and within a month we were both sagging into ditches with a mountain between us. Unbelievably, it has gotten worse over the 1.5 years since we bought it! He's @ 200lbs and I'm @ 130lbs and we're both @ 5'6".
We hate this mattress and will never buy another Serta. My "leg ditch" is less deep than my "torso ditch, " and when I sleep on my side, (legs stacked) my knees actually hurt from being torqued upwards when I wake up. Same issue applies for stomach sleeping.
I purchased a Sleep Doctor mattress and after 3 different mattress sets decided on a Serta Full Set with a Pillow top. I paid additional money and thought I was getting a good product. I am absolutely disappointed with my choice because the mattress started sagging within the first 6 months. I have paid as much for if not less for sets that to this day are not sagging in the middle. The Sleep Doctor store would not return any of my calls and after awhile I gave up. They had replaced their brand of mattress for me three times and like I said I thought by choosing a Serta set I would be happy. NOT...
American Mattress sold me a bed with me assuming the warranty is good. I was never told there would be no warranty on floor models... The manager told me it had to be assumed that this is the reason he was selling this mattress so inexpensively. I was never told there would be no warranty. I called the Serta Rep. Serta rep tells me no warranty can be applied to floor models... I told them both I would have to take my complaint to corporate... this mattress was m.s.r.p. $1599. I bought it for 599 5 months ago......
DO NOT buy anything from Sears that needs to be home delivered!!! My husband and I bought a king size mattress and it was supposed to be delivered on August 1st, well...it never came. We called the next day and the person with home delivery customer service said they would reschedule the delivery to Monday August 4th. We never received a phone call the night before about the time it was going to be delivered, so my husband called to ask what was the time frame of delivery. The person he spoke to said that he couldn't find our information in the system. I am extremely confidant that Sears home...
I purchased a mattress and box springs April 2003 from a local Bed Outlet. It was a Marsala Plush set with low profile Box. I noticed that the material that encloses this mattress was starting to break apart in several areas. It was on both sides of the mattress. I call the local manager who came out and inspected and concurred that their was material giving way. She notified her sales representative for Serta here in Arizona and was told that the material is not covered under the warranty for Serta, even though you go on line and see the guarantee of a full 10 years against fault materials...
