We just purchased a used 2011 Kia Sorento. Hubby and I checked every detail on this vehicle. The body for ripples, hood for any dents or dings. I even crawled under the car on the lot to make sure there was no rust, no corrosion. Practically climbed into the engine compartment to make sure there were no water lines, corrosion like you typically see in flood cars, etc. Drove it from the dealership in Cape Coral to Port Charlotte (two towns over). Purchased a 2014 Kia Sorento on May 31, 2013. On the way home I was caught up in a Tornado that caused 10K in body and mechanical damage. The dealer still has the vehicle as they cannot get all the parts they need for the past 2 months. I was told by the dealer that the car is built in the US but I now find that all of the parts are in Korea...i still cannot figure that one out. Kia's website will not let you enter in all the information that is required before submitting so that is a dead end. I tried from 3 different computers. I have tried calling several people at Kia's corporate office...

I bought a Kia Optima 2012 (Dark Cherry) this Summer, and in less than one month the paint had deteriorated from bird dung, insect debris and from the minimal snow flurries we had this Nov. 27th! I made Kia aware of the situation in order to exercise the suppossedly great warranty they have just to find out that they decided not to do anything about it. The Kia "Inspector" stated that the issue with the paint was "Environmental" therefore, Kia was not going to fix it! My first time purchasing a new car, and yet the worst experience EVER.
The new 2012 Kia Forte EX i purchased appears to have an Alignment defect, being that i have tsken it for service 3x. The dealership is telling me that i don't even qualify for the "Lemon Law" due to the fact that the bank has already closed and paid the funds. Point is, they will not work with me what-so-ever. I PURCHaSED THE VEHICLE USED FROM ENTERPRISE RENT A CAR 01/12/2011. THE CAR WAS STILL UNDER maNUFACTURER WARRANTY. THE CAR WOULD JUST NOT START PERIODICALLY AND INTERMITTENLY. We bought our Kia Sorrento on 7/29/10, with the understanding we would get as advertised, free oil changes for life.We had also asked for another key to the car as part of the deal. We were told it would be ordered and we could pick it up at first oil change. The dealership is 2 miles from our home and would have been very convenient to use. My Kia Sorento has a 150000 km Warranty. As a result of the faulty rear fixed axel, I've been informed by 2 specialised alignment centres that alignment can not be performed due to the faulty rear fixed axel that has to be rectified by Kia. Take note that this matter is unresolved after nearly 3 years.

Ok, i don't trust kia any more.my brother had an accident few days ago.and he definitely was going to die, and guess what the steering wheel air bag didn't open ! yes it didn't open 'he just survived because he jumped on the next seat in the last seconds, wow. On 9 Jan. we towed our caravan to Illovo and the car’s temperature went up again. We took our car to Margate workshop to fix it. They replaced our radiator cap and said the problem is fixed. The next day we left for home. after 30 min, our car overheated and cut out. Rusty from Durban fixed a small leak on the top radiator hose and added 1 litre of water. I AGAIN have problems with my car not starting - this has been going on for more than a year. I have spoken to Bronwyn - car has been 'fixed' - checked out by 'specialist' and guess what - they have to tow it in today as i can't start it - have been trying for half an hour.
