I brought my car to Bob's Transmission & Auto Service because it was jerking a bit. They said I needed a transmission overhaul and showed me pictures of my car. They said it would take 14 hours of work. I went there five times and they charged me $2700. I had to complain to get them to finish it. They had an employee named Jim who got fired. They said they wouldn't honor any deals I had with him. Jim told me some parts were missing from my car. The fifth time I went there, they charged me $325 and wouldn't explain why. They used to cover it under warranty. When I asked, they didn't want to comply. The owner slammed my keys on the counter and told me to get my car off the street. When I got home, I saw that the key lock was cut open. I think they parked it on the street because I said I was going to the ComplaintsBoard.com.

I had to bring it back multiple times, but the problem was never fixed. I also authorized them to work on the air conditioning, but it stopped working a week after they installed a new compressor. I had to bring it back multiple times for that too. They recommended more work on the "Evaporator Core," but when they did the work, they scratched my windshield and cracked my dashboard. They didn't take responsibility for the damage and just said the car was old. They offered to have a "better technician" work on it, but that didn't help. At one point, they had my car for three months, and I couldn't get any information about the repair status. When I drove by the shop, I saw my car parked with leaves and debris on it, so it was clear they hadn't touched it for a while. I don't think they have the expertise to fix my car, and I don't want to risk any more damage to my sentimental vehicle.
