David — the angi rep showed up on time and was told to install a new sound bar, check if everything was set up correctly, do an actual test on the tv, the sound, the remote-control function to ascertain if all was working correctly.

David seemed to not really know what he was doing and hooked up and took off several components until finally thinking all was ok. He turned on the tv and after manipulating the remote several times got the tv to actually show a picture... More effort was required to get the sound bar to work as david seemed to be trying to find the right buttons by doing a trial-and-error approach — rather than knowing what he was doing.

Then, he could not get netflix to come on. Many more attempts and after 2 hours and 45 minutes, I decided he did not know what he was doing.

I told him to forget it and I would call geek-2-you to clean up the problem.

Note: the tv would not turn off with the remote control after david left. I had to unplug the tv to turn it off.

I want my money back — i'll never use angi again!

I contracted with Angie for a handyman to do 3 hours work. They scheduled and said the charge against my credit card would not post until the work was complete. On the scheduled day, the handyman was a no show and neither I nor Angie customer support could contact him. Angie rebooked the work with another handyman for Saturday. Come Saturday, the handyman showed up but was not ready to do any work. He said he wanted to scope out the job and later in the day called to schedule for Tuesday at noon. Come Tuesday, again the handyman was a no show and no call. I finally called him an hour after he was scheduled to start and was told he had an accident and need to reschedule. (He did not reach out to me or inform Angie). I told him to forget it. I called and canceled with Angie and was told they would reimburse my charge card. IE: They (Angie) had already charged my credit card when the handyman had not done the work! I tried to voice my displeasure, but the Angie rep just kept talking over me. I kept my composure and did not rant over their lack of having competent and considerate sub contractors. I will no longer use Angie.

I had a call from Angeies list from a gentleman named Jacob, I told him our company was not interested and disconnected as we have customers calling back to back, he called back and proceeded to tell me I am ignorant, he asked to speak to my manager because clearly I am the most poor in the company, when telling Jacob I was a manager he proceeded to laugh out loud, then tell me he hopes he can get me fire. This company is so unprofessional. All this over a cold call denial.

This is a so called interior designer who did the house I currently live in. I was lied to and she never give me prices and she spent half my budget on tile flooring alone. She lied and used left over materials such as extra light and faucet fixture that the builder had in my bathrooms none of the fixtures matches. I mean some were silver some brushed gold black it’s been completely insane… She lied to me so much so that now a year later, almost I have proof of what I actually wanted and ordered. She did everything different. She did what she wanted. After I corrected missed outlets she never spoke to me again so here I am She has not spoken to me and is not willing to fix anything she lies and steals from you. She will buy stuff at a cheap discounted price for example I don’t know where for sure but she did things like buy tile that is leftovers in order to get a cheap price for her and charge you full price for it then if you need more, there’s nothing left because she bought the last of what Home Depot had when you ordered something safe from Florida tile… the main thing she won’t do is give ur main sqFt charges. U wants to group it all together so u don’t know what u pay for anything. My cabinets are different colors, which makes no sense whatsoever because why would anybody want five not matching greens in their kitchen, she put in an oven that was a $2100 oven because the cabinets she gave them the wrong specs and they were too small and that was the only one that fit. However it’s so tiny you can’t even fit a small pizza in it I wanted French doors. She gave me sliding glass doors. She did everything she could wrong and then cut and left. This woman will lie to your face. She knows exactly how to tell you what you want to hear, but in the end, you will not get anything you want. You will get what she wants and she will win. I say buyer beware because this woman is out to destroy everything you love and you’ll end up with your dream home becoming a disaster. Fridge was wrong used something maybe floor one but broken from get go. All appliances have dents and scratches. I’ve never seen anything this indiane. She works w poor contractors and sub contractors. Bushes r dead cement cracked she hired whoever was cheapest and u get what u pay for but see I paid full price. She gave me the cheap crappy price work. At the expensive coast. There’s no Schlueter between part of the floor. Where are you trip because there’s such a huge gap she just didn’t care. She got her money and that’s all she wanted. I just wanted my house to be done nicely. I had a back room I wanted a patio with screen. She made it into an extra room with glass windows. It’s not what I wanted. I now have three living rooms who needs that but she got a good deal on the glass is what I assume because glass doesn’t even match in windows size so she changed it. She does what she does to give her self money and doesn’t care what you get but again she will tell you what you want and she’s good. She knows exactly what to say to get you to say yes, but I’m telling you she’s a wrong person to go with find anyone else. This is a warning if you don’t listen, then I pray for you because you need to go to someone else. In pic sink is all scratched. Dents in fridge. Oh lord the whole house it would b 300 plus pics of mistakes. This is my dream home that became a nightmare because of one greedy designer who lied the whole way through. I’m not a builder. I paid to have a professional do this and to be so screwed was devastating. East coast builder helped her rob me. I paid for a new house w new applicare good tile and got garbage used everything fixtures that don’t match nothing mates. It’s crazy and I’m not the only one she did this to other but people t afraid to speak out. I want to see no one else get screwed like u did by her.

Contacted Alex of Demergel Building, LLC, located in Zion, IL, in late August and met with him on 9/6/2022 to provide an estimate for bathroom and kitchen remodeling. He arrived with a quote of $24,500.00 for both projects and asked for a 50% down payment. I paid him $14,000.00 for a down payment with an additional $1200.00 he asked for regarding another repair in the house. The bathroom was gutted and the debris removed. The shower was partially re-framed as was the floor with new tile placed. No other work has been done. Alex continues to say "we'll be there tomorrow" but hasn't showed nor has he delivered the items for the bathroom other than one can of paint, a toilet, and some broken tiles that were ordered for the shower. He has been able to show me only approximately $5000.00 that he has spent from the $15,200.00 I paid him. I am asking for $10,000.00 returned due to no progress on the shower remodel after these past 3 months. He does not return calls or texts. I need help getting the money back and do not want anybody else to even think about using him or his company.

I purchased and paid for a painting job (BOOKING #[protected]). The painter did not show up. I called and they set up another appointment the next day. Booking date: Nov 4, 2022

The 2nd gentleman showed up one hour late the next day and had only a 8 foot ladder and we had 14 foot high ceilings. So needless to say the job did not get done. He was complaining that Angies book contractors and don't give them information and book projects that take longer than expected. He did not have good words for Angies.

I travelled across the state of Florida to get this job done, had to pay for a hotel and the job still is not started. I am again having to return next week to get the job completed. I think that people need to know how this company runs. I called numerous times trying to speak to a manager or a supervisor and no one would connect me to one. This is and has been the worst experience I have ever had and I don't want anyone else to experience this.

I had a repairman out and was billed $212.48 on 9/29/22. The repairman worked on my kitchen cabinet doors. About 7 days later, the same repairman came to my house and told me he had another order. I did not place a second order. When I told him this, he told me he thought it was a mistake and he left. On 10/12/22 I was billed $211.49, How do I get a refund. This is why I don't like paying through your system. Especially since you don't have a phone number or way to contact the company except by placing a new order.

The repair started 10/28/2022.

I replaced the starter battery.

The service tech. removed all the old gas and put in fresh.

He verified that gas was flowing.

Could not get generator to start.

Said he would have to do some research and get back with me.

I have not heard anything from him since then.

Do I need to get someone else?

I filed this complaint last week. I called ANGI's for a plumbing issue. Our address is 26468 Greenbriar Lane in Warsaw, Missouri 65355. They gave me the phone number of Adam, who at the time I did not know where he was coming from. Made an appointment for Thursday October the 20th at 10.00am. He didn't show up until 2:30 that afternoon, saying he had to take his helper back to Jefferson City, Missouri, which is at least a 2 hour drive to Warsaw. If I had known he was coming that far I would have called someone local. I should have known better because last time I used your company you wanted to send someone from Oklahoma. Anyway, long story short: He came said he fixed it and left. However, the toliet still leaked. Texted and explained and he said he would come back. A no show. Called and left a message and no response. I would very much like my $180.10 refunded. We ended up fixing the problem ourselves.

I contacted Angie’s list and asked for a licensed plumber to fix a shower body leak - instead they sent a salesman who tried to tell me that my entire house needed to be re piped for thousand of dollars - the salesman offered to work with me and lie to my homeowners insurance in order to put in a false claim . When I finally got him to focus on the original job, the salesman said 900 dollars to take a look - when I said i would only pay 300 buck and that would include repair, the salesman called his boss and said yes , he would fix leak right away. The salesman went to get his tools , said he was missing a part and would be right back - I never heard from the salesman again. Angie’s list is a crooked company preying on senior citizens . Buyer beware.

Please save yourself a headache and NOT use Bitner Brothers. The work was so poor that I had to have the foundation replaced already. they started the project of putting an 5X14‘ porch on our house, they started the project in June 2019 and didn’t finish until the end of October.

He then accused me of owing him another $1,500 when I only owed him $500. and pulled his crew off the job before it was finished due to “lack of payment”. I had proof of payment, spoke to Elka the office manager and she also agreed that the payment was made. I asked her the email me the receipt of payment which she never did. My husband and I had to finish the porch ourselves.

Even if you take him to court (which I did) he did not pay me the money I was awarded.

This man needs to held accountable for his actions, but he knows the system and how to abuse it.

My wife and I needed someone to install a fence at the just purchased Elizabeth City NC home of our son in August 2022. A request for contractors was made in responding to "Home Advisor powered by Angi" advertising the firm could provide "qualified and screened service professionals".

Black Diamond Home Services llc of Hertford, N.C. was referred. It is owned/managed by Cassandra Leah Fischer and staffed by Marcus Wayne Quintana who responded to phone calls by my son overseeing the project. Quintana provided an estimate, required $3,000 for materials which was paid by check then never returned to the job site. He quit answering calls.

Home Advisor by Angie promises "if you're not satisfied ...we'll work to make it right". Requests / demands for Home Advisor by Angie to cause Black Diamond Home Services provide the work they were paid for went nowhere.

Replaced cabinet facings in kitchen in May 2021, In August 2022, one of the cabinets began separating at the tongue-groove connection. Company refused to repair the faulty cabinet under the prescribed Warranty and Remedies section in the contract and instead claimed that the damage was from "water damage" as determined from attached photo. I had to pay $150 for the new cabinet door when it should have been covered at no cost since there was NO WATER DAMAGE. Recommend this company be avoided.

This experience is the worst I have ever had with any service. The fees were higher than others in the same business. The phone center response team was ill-prepared to address my disappointment. The technicians were the worst representatives I have ever met. The tech team intentionally misled my wife at both visits. Tyler blatantly lied about the assessment of my attic.

i had 3 diffrent poeple come to my home and the job was not complete because the wrong information was given to them. I want my money back or a supervisor to call me. I am tried of jacking around with you all. I am trying to be nice again this the worst service ever

Last Friday, Oct 14, I used your service to get a repair done on a Maytag washing machine. I had to schedule for the following Monday, Oct 17. The tech was friendly, but showed up 90 min late. I had to order parts. She said she would return when parts came in. She has not returned my voice mail or texts. I've already spent over half the cost of a new washer for this service plus buying the parts. I should not have to spend more money. I already took time off from work to have this repair done.

I have previously had Angie for my business. For a week I got good leads but thereafter. I received nothing but bogus leads from states way out of my area and was still charged a ridiculous amount each month. Angie is the biggest scam I've ever fallen for. Spoke with then incessantly texted by Alex from [protected]. Was texted that a typical price for sod install could run from $3,800 to $8000. It's on my text if you would like screen shots. He knew I was Property Manager for the owner, but kept asking if that was in "my budget." I told him that was up to the owner. He asked me again and I told him the same thing. He asked me yet again and I told him likely on the lower end of the "range." Then he said "unfortunately we are only to assist with projects within this price range at this time."

Classic BAIT AND SWITCH. It was within the "range" even if the lower end. The owner for this home used Angi last time to have some drywall done and had a great experience, so I was trying to send return business. Further he told me that he would have the quote back to me within one to two weeks, to which I replied, the owner would like to have the work done early in November.

All around POOR experience.

Someone could make this right or at least not Deceptive Trade Practice. Will also be filed with BBB.

I had a plumber come a couple of weeks ago to repair a leak in my supply line from the refrigerator. I have also had a person remove/replace a leaky hot water heater. and some repair work on moisture damage. The person who repaired the leak has apparently left some of the leak unprepared. i think he should complete the work that he has already been paid for!

They are refusing to credit pending leads we have in their account, we become a member of Anji leads and it was the worst experience ever! they overcharge us over and over again for bogus and fake leads, when we asked to get credit for the leads we need to credit follow their" leads credit guideline" they keep refusing and holding our leads credit that was approved already by one of the supervisors that need to be credit, I was on the phone with them for over 2 hours and go over all pending leads - a total of 25 the supervisor confirm that at least 8 of them were supposed to be credited by their credit department and that their credit department did a mistake by denying it. average lead cost in Anji is $250-$300- meaning we need to get a credit of at least $1500.00 and now that we are calling to get this credit toward our balance they are asking us to pay in full and then they will credit us, we do not have any faith in this company! they keep laying to us and keep threatening the collection, we show good faith and we pay over $5k and they still do not want to give us our credit, we are not asking for favor or deals, we just want to get what we suppose to get based and follow their credit guideline, we try to talk with at list 4 supervisor and they all road and not helpful, they acting like gangsters and have a 0 in customer service! we would like a real person and not a robot to call us so we can sort this out, this was the worst experience we had! we are a small business trying to survive after the covid and having Anji leads HomeAdvisor holding our money and converting it to balance due is devastating, we are not asking for deals or any favor, we just want justice and to pay only for what we need and not for fake and bogus information, we will appreciate your help in this matter,
