I used the Angi website to see what contractors would be recommended for my install sauna kit project. However, all the contractors recommended were for custom saunas. I did not proceed with the Angi process. However, Angi released my contact info to these contractors, calling me about my project. I do not appreciate all these random calls for an inaccurate job description modified by Angi. When I tried to get my project info pulled from Angi, I was put on hold, and then, after 30 minutes, I decided to be put into their call-back system. I want my project taken out of their system. It has been an hour with no return call for Angi, and there is no chat or email available to contact Angi. I will never query Angi again.

Weeks ahead of time, I scheduled for a cleaner to clean our home on a specific date. I received a confirmation at the time of booking, as well as a reminder the day before. I was told the company would be there at 12:20. At 11:50 the day of the service, I received a text from Angi saying they could not find anyone do the service and nobody would be coming! I had taken the entire day off of work. Why would they send me a confirmation the day before when they had not even found anyone to do the job?! I will never use Angi. I wasted an entire day off of work.

Had the roof finished, guy was INSISTENT I write a review the day he came out. I wrote a nice review that very day. Discovered they knocked the exhaust pipe to my water heater sideways. I called...guy came out...said the top was off and saw it was crooked...course it was my fault. Showed him where they butted the shingle but didn't overlap. Tried to tell me they don't overlap...really? Isn't that what roofing shingles is all about? I called...she said the guy said it wasn't crooked. I took a picture that very same day. IT IS CROOKED.She said she would call me back after she talked to him. That was Sept. 13...It is Sept. 27 I haven't heard a word from her. Did he leave town, die, get fired? Who knows? I would not use Avalon Roofing and Exteriors even for a dog house. I am going to be 80 years old and have metastatic bone cancer...I really don't have the stamina to deal with them anymore. The pipe will stay crooked and it will constantly remind me what a shoddy company this is.

I was searching online for a service. I came across a website about what I was looking for. They offered a free estimate. I knew they didn’t know who I was, so I clicked on the service. Surprisingly my name and phone number popped up. Out of the blue, they called me to verify my number for potential pros. Next, my phone starts ringing with these pros looking for business. The kicker is every pro Angi calls they change them $20 just for the lead. It turned out to be Angi, old Angi’s List. The original search didn’t say anything about Angi, that’s why I tried it. I never completed the form and never expected someone would call me. After finding out I blocked all those numbers and tried to call Angi. I tried their corporate offices too, but the same thing, just a busy signal. I could never get through. That’s why I’m writing this. Angi stop your crappy, low-down scams.

He kept texting me about the job so I blocked him and sent him an email that he was too high and that I had gone with another company.

So today he called me from another number and said so do we start on saturday and I said no that I had emailed him that I was using someone else. He said: you blocked my phone number and was going to burn my f*g and then hung up.

This contractor is a huge problem!

I hired a man to pull my weeds and trim a few plants in my front yard about four months ago and just for this month September 2023 he asked me to pay early so that he could make his rent. However, he never came and did the landscaping for my yard. Up until this point he has done my yard and he has done it well but now that he has lied and said that he would do my yard, but I already paid him due to his circumstance, and wanting to help, I will never trust him again, because he has not done my yard after I’ve given him money first. I will never give money first again, that was my mistake, but I believe him when he said he needed to make his rent. His name is Luis Medina. Do not trust him, he starts out good then lies to you.

I can not delete an account. There is no way to delete online. It says to call Customer Service. Customer Service claims the account doesn't exist with the email I provided, even though I am logged in. They transfer me to another department, which tells me it will automatically call me back at the number I've called on. NO CALL EVER. This is the absolute WORST website ever.

Looked for basic window repair on Google and came across Angi, put in my information, was given a reasonable quote and a time. On day of appointment, guy was 2 hours late, his number provided by Angi was actually a forwarding service. So, I waited and finally got a text that he was 10 minutes out. Finally shows up, looks at window, gets back into car and leaves, without a word. I'm thinking he went to Home Depot or something. Never came back. When contacted Angi text bot, was told he had to leave due to "unforseen circumstances". Not a big deal except when I made appointment, they needed my Credit Card, now I'll have a headache trying to reverse charges. Don't use Angi. My first ever engagement will be my last! They spend so much on advertising and hype, repeat, don't use them.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! I contracted them to install a concrete front porch and rear patio with stairs and sidewalks. After completion, the project failed the final building inspection for numerous reasons, failed to flash the home and failed to drain water away from the home. They poured the concrete level too high and now I have water coming into my home. They refuse to fix the project so that it will pass a building inspection. The project is in Monroe, NC.

crook tried to take 1440 then paid him $1999.62 should have been $905.10. I called him many times and he didn't answer. He was contacted and I paid him monday on the 14 and he was to install the compressor on Tuestday 15. After many call to him from me and angi but not able to contact him.. Today is August 24, still no money refunded and no referigator that works.

This company preys on all of their contractors. A customer will need something done and they will contact up to 5 contractors. Angi will charge a fee to up to 5 contractors and only 1 may get the job. In my case I paid $836 for leads from Angi and 80 % never even responded to the initial contact and 10 % wanted same day service even though my profile says I do not offer same day service. If you are a contractor do not sign up to use therm. If you are a customer needing work do not support a company that at minimum is a very very bad company.

I was told by BACON PLUMBING that they would come out on a Saturday to install a bathtub/shower. They verified twice they would be out to do the work. First on Friday and then again on Saturday morning. They called again on Saturday afternoon and tried to talk me into having one of their plumbers to come out after hours instead and claimed the plumber scheduled all of a sudden would be tied up all day and I would have to pay after hour rates instead! I get so sick of this bait and switch these companies pull after they have already agreed to do the job at regular rates! Angie’s list used to be better than this! I would hope BACON PLUMBING of ROCKWALL TX would get a bad review posted by Angie to teach them a lesson but I doubt now Angie will do anything about it now like they have in the past. So disgusted I doubt I’ll ever use Angie’s list again!

I booked a pro for plumbing service on July 25th to replace an ejector pump. The pro did not show up. I rescheduled the job to occur on 7 August and the pro who was assigned, unassigned themselves 2 days before, I rescheduled with another pro for 8 August. I communicated with the pro once they assigned to get assurances that they would show up and successfully complete the job. The day of the job, the pro contacted me to say they are running late. After 4 hours, and regular texts to the pro, still no response. The pro was a no-show again, for the third time. This job is at a summer house which is 2 hours away from my home. I made 3 trips 2 hours back and forth, to have the job still incomplete! Angi's list offered no compensation for my troubles, and I had to call to get the charges reversed from my credit card. In addition, the job was removed from the app and I was preventing from being able to rate the poor (clearly zero stars). Furthermore, this is a rental property and I had to cancel my rental because the plumbing was not fixed! This is lost wages.
