It was worth it to pay a good quality of the repair. The technician I had was skilled and experienced. He's not having a hard time doing my home ac repair service needs. He was very knowledgeable about the job. He also provided some tips on cleaning out the unit to maintain its life and efficiency. I was fascinated with the quality as well as the service cost for it was inexpensive. Strongly recommended!

We had been without an upstairs A/C for over a week. We called Alaskan A/C on a Friday and they promptly arrived on Monday morning. To our delight the alaskan repair tech noticed our A/C dilemma was due to a power issue completely unrelated to the A/C unit. He addressed the power issue, our A/C was up and running, and he charged us nothing (0.00), not even a charge for the visit! We will always call Alaskan for our A/C needs!

First year inspection of our air-conditioning unit. Technician, Damian, was very professional from the start when he arrived on time, explained what he was going to do for the appointment and cleaned up whatever he needed to. He was very courteous let me ask any questions I wanted and gave answers quickly. Truly appreciate the text before he arrived to let me know when he was arriving and also sending a picture of himself to let me know who will be arriving! Certainly will be telling everyone about Alaskan Air Conditioning & Heating great service!

Back in December Alaskan came out to repair our heating unit. Technician quoted $2600.00 for part to repair our heater. He said part would be here in 2days. We had to put the money upfront. In short it took a week to get the part. Meanwhile we had no heat. Part was installed. The heater lasted about a week. I called another company to come and check out system. They got heater working. I mentioned the Alaskan repair ***. I was told that the part was about a $500 item. It's obvious that Alaskan took advantage of the situation and I was way over charged.

Purchased a new heating and cooling unit from them in 2019. This winter it started making a strange noise when the outside unit was running. They had a service technician come and check out unit. This unit was *** dollars when it was installed 2 years ago. The technician wrote up a list of things they needed to do to fix unit and gave me an estimate of *** to fix unit. When asked about why I had to spend *** to fix a 2 year old unit he said they don't manufacture them just install them. I told him they sold the unit it should be up to them to talk to factory, not the homeowner. He said he wasn't going to argue, that I had the cost to fix it and that was all there was to it. Needless to say, I would not recommend this company to anyone I know.

Worst experince ever! This is a predatory sales company that baits and switches seniors.We recently purchased a home in a retirement community and have a home warranty. We called Alaskan for maintenance on our AC units as required by home warranty. Since we have 3 units, we had to pay 3 maintenance fees. We paid the tech before we received the reports via email. The service tech told us our units were beyond repair and he will not provide maintenance on them. All 3 units work! The tech said a supervisor will go over reports with us. The "supervisor" is a salesman who asked us "What am I doing here?". He asked us, why did you pay for maintenance when the tech did not do anything as stated to the reports? I called the Alaskan office and "***" who answered the phone refused to transfer me to a supervisor after numerous requests to do so. This company rips off seniors!

I had Alaskan AC come out to service my unit due to a small freon leak. It was a single joint that needed to be soldered and then needed to be recharged. As a welding contractor myself I understand what a service call actually takes as far as time and money. I'm also familiar with the Hvac industry. I was absolutely floored when a was told it would be $2400 to repair it. This is a $5000 unit. The tech also told me I should replace the entire unit for $18,000 since my unit wasn't worth fixing. I would never treat my clients in such a way! Also I called Sunday and the tech came out Monday. I declined such an outrageous price and yet still had to pay a $140.00 "diagnostic fee" so he could tell me what I already knew. I guess the "same day or it's free" thing doesn't apply to me. Oh, and I also had my unit fixed the same day after Alaskan left by another company for $400.00. It's been working fantastic ever since!

Poor workmanship on our AC repair on August 2. 1. The tech left 230 volt fan wiring outside of the AC enclosure. The wire splices were taped but how long will that last in the direct Phoenix sun? Talked to W at the office and he said this is the way it is done to prevent the fan from damaging the wiring. All other AC units have the wiring below the fan blade. I have a photo of this. 2. Same reply about the replacement capacitor installed in a cardboard box with tape around it inside the electrical relay enclosure. I have a photo of this. 3. The tech tried to sell me a new capacitor for the compressor stating that it was damaged. The capacitor was in perfect shape! I have a photo of this. 4. Scrap wire was left on the roof. He said that would come fix the repair but why should we let them touch our AC again? Going to contact the ROC next. I do not recommend this company because their web site says they do things correct, but they don't!

My ac was blowing hot air on Sunday night. I called Alaskan AC, I was told to turn my ac unit off so it would be cool enough for the technician to work on it. They came out within a couple of hours of my call. The technician *** came out that night went out to the unit and came back in approximately 20 minutes later and said he did a rejuvenation on the unit and the invoice was $649.00. Now at the time I had no idea what a rejuvenation was so I paid him. The next night when my ac unit did the exact same thing I called the company again. I did not get a response until the next morning, so I had to go without ac all night. When I got up the next I called the Alaskan air again, two hours later, someone called me back and said *** would be out again that morning. I asked if I was going to have to pay again, and she said not if it's the same problem. Well since I was sweltering in the house I decided to try to turn the unit back on. The unit came on and cooled down the house to 77 degrees which is what happened the very first night I called them. I decided to look on line to see exactly what a rejuvenation of an ac unit entailed. everything I saw said it should have taken about an hour and a half to perform this service. Since *** was only at my house about 20 minutes I decided to ask him about it. His response was that every ac company has different verbiage for the repair that he performed on my unit. He then preceded to tell me he replaced a part on my unit. I asked to see it, he dug around in his van and came up with a part. He said, "see it has a hole in it". I asked to see it, so I could take a picture of it. He suddenly through the part back in his van and slammed the door. He said this part belongs to me, you can't take a picture of it. I said I paid you $650, that part should belong to me. He would not let me take a picture of the part. He also said at the point that if I wanted him to look at my unit again, I would need to pay an additional $129 for a service call. At that point I told him to get off my property and I would not be needing his services.

Josh additionally informed me even about the electrical contacts, condition of the internal blower motor and the cleanliness of the evaporator; which is the very first time in over 15 years at this address that a technician during a check of this Trane A/C ever looked this deep into the workings of my unit or reported all these different areas to me in his pass-down. My HVAC broke down and Alaskan AC & Heating fixed it for $790 even though I had a warranty from *** that covered both parts and labor. They also charged me $78 just to diagnose the problem, which is the first time they've done that in 11 years. A few years ago, I had the same repair done and was charged $500. I thought the 12-year warranty would cover everything, but apparently not.

I called Alaskan air to fix my AC, but they charged me $129.00 and did nothing! The guy used a broken tester to check my AC. I told him that my AC was set at 79, but it was still reading 81. He said that my AC couldn't cool my house down to 79 because it was too hot outside. I didn't sign for the work, but he insisted that I did and said that there was nothing else he could do. This company is a rip-off and shouldn't be part of the ComplaintsBoard.com! I want my $129.00 back because I had to pay someone else to come out! They should be shut down. They're not an honest business, and I'll tell everyone on social media not to do business with them.

I had a problem with Alaskan Air Conditioning & Heating and filed a complaint with the ComplaintsBoard.com. They said they would call me and refund my $129, but I haven't received anything yet. This company is shady and lies to customers. They should be removed from the ComplaintsBoard.com. If I don't get my money back in 15 days, I will take them to court. Alaskan Air lied to the ComplaintsBoard.com and didn't do anything for the money I paid them. If the ComplaintsBoard.com doesn't do something about this, they're not doing their job. Please resolve this claim quickly.

I had a problem with my a/c three weeks ago and decided to call Alaskan Air Conditioning & Heating. A technician came the next day and said that the fan was starting to go, so he replaced it and charged me $1050. However, 30 minutes later, the air stopped working again. I called them back, and the technician came back the next day and said that the switch was bad. He promised to send another technician the next day to put it in, but it took three days for them to come. The technician finally came and charged me *** dollars. But 45 minutes later, the air stopped working again. I called them back, and they sent a third technician the next day who said that the freon was low and charged me $700. The next day, the air stopped working again, and I called them back. They sent another technician the next day who said that they needed more freon and charged me another $500. However, even after paying all this money, the air still didn't work, so I went and bought a new unit. Alaskan Air Conditioning & Heating just kept taking money from me, knowing that they couldn't fix it. I want to be reimbursed for paying for parts that I didn't need and that didn't help. I spent $2200 and five days in a hot house. They weren't honest about anything and just lied to keep getting money.

I got my A/C installed on 7/21 and 7/22. I took a loan of 22K for a top of the line A/C/heat pump unit with a 10-year transferable warranty and service plan for my *** sq ft home in *** in ***. On 07/25/2022, it rained and water started pouring through the A/C return in the house. On 07/26/2022, Alaskan A/C found out that the A/C pan was cracked, which caused the leak (?). On 07/27/2022, a repairman came out to "fix" the leak. On 07/29/2022, it rained again, and the return started leaking again. They gave the excuse that "sealant doesn't like humidity." On 8/01/2022 and 08/02/2022, someone came out to reseal the return ductwork. On 08/24/2022, with heavy rain, water started pouring from the return again. The property has water damage to the drywall and the flooring. I think it's not acceptable for the amount I paid for a new system to be leaking and damaging the property. I don't want to file with my insurance because this company should be responsible for corrective action!

I had a problem with my air conditioning not cooling well, especially downstairs, so I called Alaskin air conditioning on May 10th. It was getting up to 85 degrees every day downstairs, while upstairs was around 80. A technician came to my house and said I needed two units to cool the whole house, and that the dampers, which control where the air goes, weren't working right. I paid $1,980 for the service. On May 11th, the technician came back to fix it. But a week or two later, it still wasn't fixed. Then my system shut down completely, and the same technician said it was a fuse issue caused by a power outage. But I was home all day and there was no power outage. He charged me again, but my system still wasn't working. The real issue was leaking Freon, not the dampers.

I heard on the radio that Alaskan Air Conditioning & Heating could fix my AC on the same day or I wouldn't have to pay. But when I called, they said I had to schedule an appointment. On June 26th, a technician came to fix my AC and said they needed to order a part. They said they would let me know when it arrived, and I paid for the service. But I didn't hear anything back from them. On July 7th, I sent an email to [protected]@alaskanac and told the receptionist that I hadn't heard anything. She said the technician would call me around 5:30, but he didn't call until later and left a voicemail saying he would follow up. But I didn't hear anything else from them. On July 14th, I sent another email asking for information. They scheduled an appointment for July 19th from 10-11, but the technician didn't call during that time. When he did call, he said the part was in the warehouse. They scheduled another appointment for July 20th from 3-6, but the technician called at 6 and said he couldn't make it because he was out of town. They rescheduled for July 22nd from 3-6, but the technician didn't show up until 8 for the installation. I tried to talk to the GM, but he wouldn't answer my calls or call me back. I asked for a voicemail, email, or appointment, but they refused.

On 5/27, a tech came to add coolant and dye. Later that day, my unit started having problems turning off and on repeatedly. I called Alaskan to tell them, and they said they could send someone back out, but I'd have to pay for it. I made the appointment but later canceled because my unit started working. The next day, it started turning off and on again. I started to distrust this company and its techs because their responses kept changing. I called another A/C company for a second opinion, and they said the Alaskan tech caused an occlusion in the line, causing back up pressure and coolant to leak out of the condenser coil, which caused heat in the unit, triggering the off/on outcome. Now I need a new coil and have no A/C during the sweltering summer in Arizona!

Alaskan came to our crib for 10 months starting January through October . We spent $10,376.05 fixing the heat pump during that time. The unit still don't work. Alaskan is now telling us we need a new unit due to oversize of current unit. Cost of the new unit was between $12,100 and $15,500 with installation. Another company gave us a second opinion stating that the unit needs replaced but due to bad coils. The new company thinks Alaskan was price gouging and scamming us. The new company quoted us a price of $7,463 for a new unit with installation. There is no way to truly prove that the items that Alaskan replaced were never bad or that they knew or didn't know about the coils. However, the company that came out before them did say it was bad coils and we told that to Alaskan who ignored the problem and replaced every other part on the unit while constantly telling us the coils were fine. Now we are over $10,000 into a unit that has to be thrown away and replaced with a brand new unit.

I bought a house last year and needed my heater/AC serviced. I went to Home Depot with my kids and someone at the door offered to clean my system. They recommended a part be replaced, even though nothing was wrong with the 5-year-old unit. I paid $1966.65 to replace it. In April, our AC wasn't getting cold, so I paid $2692.31 to replace a coil. A month and a half later, the air was blowing warmish cool again. James Crouch came out and was rude and misogynistic. He put refrigerant in it, but it only blew cold air until July 3rd. Ephraim said our system was too small and recommended a replacement. Jacob offered a new unit for $15,000, but I got a better deal elsewhere. They did me wrong.
