Amazing Air + Heat Never finished the job and now I am not able to get them to return my call or come out

Never finished the job and now I am not able to get them to return my call or come out. They left my AC unit in a mess and it's still not working properly. I've been trying to reach them for weeks, but they seem to have disappeared. It's frustrating because I paid them a lot of money and expected better service. I would not recommend Amazing Air + Heat, Inc. to anyone.

I highly recommend Amazing Air + Heat, Inc. I recently had them come out to my home to fix my air conditioning unit, and I was extremely satisfied with their service.

The technicians were very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the issue to me in a way that I could understand. They were also able to quickly diagnose the problem and fix it efficiently. I appreciated their professionalism and attention to detail.

The customer service was top-notch as well. The staff was friendly and helpful when I called to schedule an appointment, and they were able to accommodate my busy schedule. The technician arrived on time and was respectful of my home, making sure to clean up after the job was done.

I was also impressed with the pricing. The cost of the service was fair and reasonable, especially considering the quality of work that was done. I felt like I got great value for my money.

Amazing Air + Heat On September 26, 2022 (when I wasn't around), Amazing Air + Heat charged my 88-year-old mother, ***, $2,649.95 for a service

On September 26, 2022 (when I wasn't around), Amazing Air + Heat charged my 88-year-old mother, ***, $2,649.95 for a service she didn't get an invoice for. She paid with a check that Amazing Air + Heat cashed. When I got back to town and asked for an invoice explaining the work they did on her air conditioning, they gave me the run-around. They didn't keep their promises on the phone and sent me "empty" email files. Amazing Air + Heat even told my mother they would mail her an invoice on October 27, 2022, but it still hasn't arrived. I don't know how old some of Amazing Air + Heat's other customers are, but in my mother's case, it's clearly elderly abuse.

Amazing Air + Heat I paid for a service upfront, costing me $2,587, after getting a quote

I paid for a service upfront, costing me $2,587, after getting a quote. They came for maintenance on July 26th, and I asked them not to start the new job until the next day. But, when I went back inside after talking about the quote, they went ahead and started the job I wanted them to wait on. I called and told them I didn't want the service anymore because I changed my mind. When I spoke to the manager, they said they would refund it within *** business days. But it's been three weeks now, and I still haven't received my upfront payment back. This is not good business practice and needs to be addressed before I take further action. They weren't supposed to charge for the job until it was done, and I didn't give them permission to start the quoted job.

Amazing Air + Heat On 7/13 I called Amazing Air + Heat, Inc

On 7/13 I called Amazing Air + Heat, Inc. for a $50.00 maintenance. They said they could come on 7/15 between 11 and 1, but then they called and changed it to 7/18. But guess what? They canceled that appointment too! So, I had to call them again and reschedule for the next day. Finally, their technician came and checked my unit. He said the fan was all clogged up and he needed to go up in the attic. After he went up there, he said he had to seal the ducts where they connect to the vents and it would cost a whopping $4500! I was like, "No way, dude! I can't afford that!" Then they asked me how much I could pay, and they brought it down to $2500. I should have known right then and there that something fishy was going on.

Later that day, the temperature in my house went up by 6 degrees! I was sweating like crazy! So, the next morning, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I climbed up a ladder and checked the unit myself. And guess what I found? The air filter was so clogged that it couldn't even let any air through! Can you believe it? Another A/C guy told me that's why the fan got all plugged up. So, I called the service manager and told him what I found. But he had the nerve to say that the leaks in the ducts didn't cause the fan to get plugged. Can you believe that?

Then, things got really ugly. They started threatening me, saying they would do something bad if I stopped payment on a check or disputed the charges on my card. I was so scared! Eventually, they agreed to give me a refund of $1250, but only after I threatened them back. Today, I got a text saying they credited my account with only $900! Can you believe their audacity? I'm a disabled Veteran, and I recently had a mild stroke. The doctors told me not to climb ladders or work overhead because it could trigger another stroke. So, you can imagine how frustrated and upset I am right now.

Honestly, I think they should give me a full refund. Not just the $1250 they promised, but the whole amount. They didn't even honor their agreement! I truly believe that Amazing Air + Heat, Inc. is trying to scam me with their lies and threats. They don't care about their customers and they won't keep their word.

Amazing Air + Heat Amazing Air came out to my house after hours because my HVAC wasn't working

Amazing Air came out to my house after hours because my HVAC wasn't working. They misdiagnosed the problem as leaking coils and tried to sell me a $*** air purifier system for mold. When I asked about cleaning it, they quoted me $2900. I called *** the next day and found out that the coils were actually under warranty. Amazing Air then changed their story and said it might be a circuit breaker issue. They came back to check the breaker but said they had to call the warehouse to see if they had a replacement. I had to call them later that evening and they told me they wouldn't have a replacement until Monday, leaving me without air conditioning for the whole weekend. I called Amazing *** and they said they might be able to lend me a portable AC. I also called Caloosa Cooling LLC, who sent a technician with a text message containing the tech's name, picture, and estimated arrival time. They sent another technician to diagnose the problem and they stayed until 8pm. They determined that it wasn't the coils or the circuit breaker, but the capacitor and main board. They couldn't get the parts until the following week, but they bypassed the board to get the air running temporarily. That's what I call professionalism! Amazing Air was late, unresponsive, misdiagnosed the problem, and tried to upsell me on expensive upgrades. When I asked for a refund, they refused and called it a diagnostic fee. I would call it a misdiagnostic fee. When I mentioned leaving a negative review, they threatened me and hung up. I will be reporting them to the ComplaintsBoard.com. Do not trust this company! They should just admit their mistake, refund my $179, and be done with it.

Amazing Air + Heat Jay from Amazing Air showed up at my parents' apartment and told them he was there to look at their AC system

Jay from Amazing Air showed up at my parents' apartment and told them he was there to look at their AC system. My parents thought he was there to check the filter. He looked at the system and told them he needed to install something for a cost of $264. He installed something (later determined to be a UV filter / purifier) and told them the cost was nearly $2000. They didn't know what to do, so they paid him. My parents don't remember calling Amazing Air and didn't ask for a new UV filter system to be installed on their AC. Their AC system is maintained by Shell Point. They had an extra filter installed on their system about 6 years ago, and that company has been checking the system every 6 months or so, but they hadn't done so in over 6 months. So my parents called them, but were told that company didn't service the system on my parents' AC. My parents assumed when Jay came that it was to check the filter. When Jay came, they asked if he worked for Shell Point, and he said he "worked with Shell Point sometimes." My parents wrongly assumed he was a Shell Point employee and forgot that Shell Point does all mechanical maintenance on their systems. My father is 94 and my mother is in her 80s. They don't have internet to file a complaint. I called Amazing Air to find out how Jay ended up in my parents' apartment and did almost $2K worth of work. They said my mother requested the service and a new air filter, but couldn't provide a day/time when she "requested" the service or the new filter system. The lady who answered the phone said they didn't have that information. If I had this information, I would cross-reference it with my parents' phone records. I've called Amazing Air twice (on April 14th and 20th), but after today's call, she hung up on me. Best case scenario, my parents didn't understand the services being provided and were rushed. Worst case scenario, this business is taking advantage of an elderly couple.

Amazing Air + Heat Company didn't provide the services they said they would

Company didn't provide the services they said they would. They haven't come back to fix the problems. On 5/27, Amazing Air put in a 3.5 ton AC unit in my house. After a couple of months, I noticed that 2 of the bedrooms weren't getting cool and there was hardly any air coming out of the vents. I called and they said it might be an issue with the duct work. On 8/24, Jeremy came to check the duct work in the attic. He said it was really old. I asked if we could just replace the duct work going to those 2 bedrooms, but he said no, the old and new duct work wouldn't work together. I asked if replacing the duct work would fix the low air flow in the bedrooms, and Jeremy said yes. He gave me a quote of $4900, and I got financing for it. He said the office would call to schedule the date and time. On 8/25, Karen called and asked if a tech named Robert could come to check something in the attic. I said yes. Robert came and went into the attic and then the house, drawing a design of the vents. I asked him about the air flow in the bedrooms, and he said he would increase the duct openings from 6" to 8", put a return in each room, and install mixer boxes in the attic to make the air flow equal throughout the house. He said they would come the next day to do the work, but the office hadn't contacted me to set a date. On 8/26, tech Rob and a helper came at 10:30 to do the duct work. They weren't finished by 10:00pm, so they left and said they would come back the next day. When no one showed up by noon, I called the office and Karen said we needed to make an appointment for them to finish. I talked to owner Erik and he said they would be at my house first thing in the morning. Again, no one showed up, so I called at 11:00am. They said they were 40 minutes away. Karen called back and said they couldn't come until 2:00. At 2:30, I called and Karen said, "they are not there"? She called me back and said they would be there in half an hour. At 4:00, I called the office and got the same response from Karen. At 5:00, I called the office, but it was closed, so I called the after-hours emergency number and talked to Erik. He said he would call them and get back to me, but he never did. They finally showed up at 5:30 and said they didn't come the day before because they were told the owner wouldn't be home all day and they were sent to do a new installation. They worked until 8:30 and finished the job. On Monday 8/31, I called Karen to tell her the rooms were still not colder than before the work was done. She said it was because of the position of my house. I called again on 9/1 and talked to Karen about what I was promised and the lack of air flow in the bedrooms. She said they would have to send someone out next week to look at the issue. On 9/4 at 5:00pm, I came home to find water dripping through my laundry room ceiling. The air handler is right above it. I called the emergency number and talked to Erik. He said he would send someone out. Tech Sean arrived at 9:00pm, but he could only do a temporary fix because he didn't have the right equipment. Sean told me that the technician who installed the AC never wrapped a cold pipe, so it was sweating and filling up the pan. The tech also didn't put a plug on the secondary drain in the pan, so it leaked out without triggering the floater and went into the ceiling. On 9/8, I called Karen about fixing the temporary fix and the ceiling and the lack of air. She said tech Robert would come out on Thursday or Friday to fix everything. On 9/10, tech Kyle showed up and said he was only told to fix the leak in the air handler. I called Karen and she said they would have to see where they could fit me in next week because they were really busy. Since the installation, no inspections have been done.

Amazing Air + Heat We got a call from Amazing Air of Ft

We got a call from Amazing Air of Ft. Myers offering a 'special' deal for a system check, duct cleaning, and a new filter. We agreed and a guy came over and went upstairs to the air-handler. The condensation pan was full, and he said it was because the coil was blocked and needed replacing. He couldn't finish the rest of the service because of that, so he just blew out the drain pipe. Two days later, another guy came and replaced the coil and two float switches, charging us $2200.00. This happened on May 21. Everything was fine until Saturday, August 1, when there was a loud bang followed by hissing from the outside unit. We called Amazing Air and told them what happened. They told us to turn off the unit for an hour and then restart it to see if it was just a "glitch." When that didn't work, we called again and were told they don't work on weekends, but they would come first thing Monday morning. Around noon on Monday, a guy came and just looked at the unit. He said the coil had blown out and called his office to tell me we needed a new outside coil. I called the owner and asked about our options. He said they could install a new coil, filter, and freon for $1100.00, or we could get a credit for the $2200.00 we already paid and replace the whole outside unit for an extra $4400.00. I told him to replace the coil. We didn't hear anything more, so a couple of days later, my wife called Amazing Air. They said the part was on back-order and wouldn't be available for two weeks to a month. They never called us, so my wife called again on Friday, August 14th, and they said the part was in. They quoted us $1200.00 for the repair and said they would come on Monday morning. I told them the owner had quoted me $1100.00. They showed up on Monday the 17th at 4:00, but they had the wrong coil. The serviceman called the office, and they said they could either replace the coil if they had one in stock or replace the whole outside unit with a used unit from a different brand. Luckily, they had the coil in stock, so the guy came back on Tuesday the 18th at 4:00 and installed the correct coil. The air worked fine until this morning. I woke up at 5:45 and saw that the thermostat read 84 degrees and the air unit wasn't running. I called Amazing Air, and they told me to turn off the unit for an hour and then turn it back on to see if that fixed the problem. It didn't. I called again and told them the fan wasn't running. They said a serviceman would come this afternoon to check it out. Here are my issues: 1.) If the float valves needed replacing (for $250.00), why did the unit shut off when the pan filled up? That's what the float valves are for. 2.) Did I really need a new coil in the air-handler, or did it just need cleaning? The serviceman said a piece of metal probably clogged it because of a careless installation (even though the unit has worked well for six years). 3.) We had to buy a window unit to cool at least one room because we've had temperatures in the mid-to-high 90s for the past two weeks without air. 4.) We always had to initiate communication with the company. My wife made several calls to check on the parts, installation requests, etc. 5.) We're in our 70s, on a fixed income, and have health issues. We don't need to endure two weeks of this heat, unable to cook or do anything else around the house. 6.) We're in the middle of moving to Tennessee and need to go back to our residence there to fix the damages caused by the Easter tornado that the insurance company already paid for. We've also lost two weeks of packing and boxing time because of the unbearable 85 to 91-degree temperatures in the house all day. 7.) It seems suspicious to me that every time Amazing Air touches my system, something else "breaks." When the serviceman installed the coil outside, he said he wasn't happy with the readings on his meter. He said the "king" valve was leaking and needed replacing, and that the compressor was "weak" and could have caused all the problems (even though the initial service 'special' didn't find these issues), and that the fan's bearings were going bad.
