Lowe's - Carpet price inflated by inaccurate measurement.

I recently purchased a bedroom carpet at Lowes of Stony Brook NY, I supplied the salesman the correct measurements, however he said installing company would send a rep. to do their own measuring. I receiver a call several weeks later, and a man from j&s flooring, responded to measure for accurate, seizing. The carpeting was installed shortly after. Installer did a good job, however there was 83 square feet left over from the job. That means I was overcharged by Approximately $370.00. I called the installer and Lowes installations, to complain about the overpricing. I was told by both to bring excess carpet to the purchase store for price correction. I did exactly that and the young man at the counter called his manager (Eric) who would not even come to counter, but responded that they would not be taking the carpet back or correcting the price. I do alot of

business with Lowes both in New York and Orlando Fl. and should not be treated with this disregard. I would appreciate someoner from management respond to my concerns. William DeGraw job#[protected], tel# [protected]

Store #2233,

Desired outcome: Please refund excess charges, rudeness is never acceptable "Eric"

I sure appreciate hearing from you William. I'm sorry to hear of your frustrations.,

83 square feet is not a great deal of space. The difficulty is understanding the way carpet needs to be laid in order to set properly. Carpet feeds in a particular direction and you'd never want it laid in pieces to take advantage of all of it. The result would look and feel horrible.

Unfortunately the result is overages. Although Lowe's can haul away such remnants, the policy is never to buy them back. Keep it handy in case it's ever needed.
