paid cash for a 2006 Mercedes-Benz CLS500 on May 21st, 2013 which was sold to me with a Nationwide 90-day / 4, 500 miles Powertrain warranty so when the transmission, torque and valve body failed on June 3rd, I felt confident that Brian would take care of things, as he had smoothly promised to do.

Well, it transpired that Brian had not arranged the warranty cover for my vehicle so when I called him on June 3rd to ask him where to tow the vehicle he advised me to take it to my own repairer. He also assured me that the warranty company would reimburse me the cost of car hire while the vehicle was being repaired but that I must arrange and pay for the rental vehicle. He then purchased the warranty cover, effective June 4th, 2013. Naturally, the warranty company denied liability for the claim and I have now incurred almost $10, 000 in expenses to this date for both the repair of the transmission and in car hire costs.

The vehicle has been in repair shops for 40 of the 50 days since Brian cashed my check. I have had to rent or borrow vehicles for this entire period. United Auto Group has given me ZERO assistance in this time.

I have had the worst car buying experience of my life with Brian Benchekroun of United Auto Group Dallas and am almost $30, 000 poorer having paid cash for a car which broke down a few days after he cashed my check. 6 weeks later I have a repair bill of almost $10, 000 - I drove the car twice! I am unemployed and do not have the means to pay the repair bill. Brian Benchekroun will say whatever he needs to in order to make the sale leaving customers like me completely defenseless and with no recourse other than to make my case and circumstances known to you. In support of my case I should mention that there are many bad reports on the Internet about this dealership some of which I have included below for your information:

“I bought a BMW 745li from United Auto Group Inc in Dallas. A few days later a loss of fluid light came on and it turns out the entire power steering pump needs to be replaced and it is going to cost over $2, 000! I contacted the salesman, Brian, and he assured me it did not have the problem when he sold it to me...well as you can tell I don t believe that! Long story short, I won’t ever do business with them again and suggest you don’t either. “

‘Steer clear! I flew in from out of state (one way) to buy a beautiful car at a great price. Upon arrival, Sean gave me an excuse that he couldn't pick me up from the airport, said he would pay my cab fare (he wouldn't), once at the dealership the contract was $4400 more than agreed to. After much debate (being tired and stranded) he gave me a check for $600 and I left with an empty tank of gas. These guys are ruthless when it comes to making money (Lie, cheat, steal). Buyer beware!”

“This company is a fraud. They took my money, never got my plates, and never transferred the title over.”

Their website states “At United Auto Group we believe that trust, honesty, and value are the cornerstones of any business”. These sentiments would be almost laughable in the circumstances were it not for the fact that I have lost REAL money ……. borrowed money, to further compound the severity of my situation.

Please help me to make this Dealer accountable for his dishonesty.
