Ok this is really getting out of control with how these people have and are stealing so many tax refunds from us. And still no one is willing to help get our money. Irs puts it in the bank the bank puts it on sbtpg and they put it back on irs. What I think is that they all r in on keeping our money from us. That’s y none of them will help and the irs won’t cancel the refunds and send us new checks directly. Cause this fraud of a so called bank is receiving interest on each and every refund that they receive and the longer they hold it the more money they make in it it’s time that someone steps up and helps get our money. Show us we matter cause everything is going up in stores and people including myself have lost our homes and cars and more all because we can’t get no help from anyone that has the ability to make something happen to these liers and thieves. When will it be enough. If we all come together as one and go against this company as one then we might get some them to give us out refunds since the government won’t step in to fix it.
Desired outcome: For this sbtpg to be shut down and for us to get out refunds asap
I myself too have been a victim was told my refund was sent to civista bank which is a green dot account back in May I have been calling and getting the run around as Mr and my children are almost homeless due to this matter behind on bills and all I would love some advice from you lady's on what it is I can do cause this is completely wrong
My name is Angela Mossow making a statement on todays date being Monday, June 19, 2023 while commencing to move forward in order to resolve an issue where two said companies have committed deceitful business practices, fraud, and larceny. I will be taking legal action against the Company SBTPG located in Santa Barbara, California and Civista Bank located in Sandusky, Ohio for frivolous activities upon accepting a 2021 tax refund check from the Internal revenue service on the date of November 18th, year 2022 with the total amount being $11,000 and the minimum amount being said of $4,008 and nothing lesser than. In effort of resolving the issue by communicating through emails and phone calls I, Angela Mossow have received no response back by communication through emails or phone calls while not limiting the ways of communication. I have been patient and flexible While giving a total of 7 months for a reply about said matter and have received no response or action to resolve the matter. The two companies together have illegally and knowingly kept my money in order to collect interest and pose a positive financial gain on their behalf while theres reason to believe they have no intention on returning the sum of money as they have a history of the same ongoing complaints. Tax filers have come forward to tell of illegal and deceitful business practices which remain an ongoing problem. That being said many efforts were made on my behalf and I will continue to move forward by taking court action commenced on this day of the 19th of June 2023.
I’m about to take legal action as well. I’m looking for a good lawyer to do a class action as we are not the only ones going through this problem. The gain they are making off of OUR money will be paid out to us. This is ridiculous how long people have been waiting for their refund that the internal revenue been approved.
I am still waiting on my refund and was going through my phone one day and found that my tax return was sent here. I realize this is an old post but can you please tell me what happened in your situation. Thank you and I'm sorry this happened to you to.

I agree. It seems everyone has control of our money and passwords etc except us! It’s just like the PPP loans vs unemployment, employee retention tax credits and loan forgiveness vs a measly $2400 over a year’s time. No interest, no help for those getting evicted as soon as allowed 100’s of fraud investigators on people trying to stay above water - but hardly any checks/balances for millions of wasted and abused dollars by the real fraudsters. My tax preparer filed my return THEN (2 days later) sent a partial copy and notification of $4000+ fees that will be deducted by TPG…$4k is tax prep fee! Last year I paid him $300, received every page of my return…he charged my girlfriend $1000! These are simple 1040s. When I went and questioned him face to face he said he’s canceling the return and already hit the button so I can’t get a copy of the original now. You can’t cancel a processing return, I can’t change payment method or banking info. TPG not responding to emails and Drake software won’t talk to me. I’m afraid he might take my whole return! I’m leaving to go to work 1800 miles away in 2 days and I don’t have enough money and don’t know if I’ll get my return next week as told. Why do the companies that are not doing the right thing and have money and are experts in their field the ones that have all the say so and rights and without hardly any liability or consequences and if we miss a deadline or make a mistake or don’t know what or how to do something we are responsible even though we have no recourse and it’s done without our knowledge or authorization by others in control? The government/IRS is quite aware of the problems with preparers and TPG/Greendot/SBTPG and their scams yet still we are responsible? They’re taking millions from us and government but middle class and working class are the focus for being audited!? Unfucking real!
