I rented a unit from american storage on waterloo road akron ohio. Public storage bought it and forced us to rent from them. I had the storage unit for 2 years. Within 5 months, they had overcharged us every month and would pro rate a month ahead until they decided to pro rate yet again and late fee, lien fee, etc. for july and auctioned it for 130.00 with my identity, tax forms, ids, laptop files, bank records, photo ids, and my three kids ids, health records, social security records, etc. They never allowed us access to those records and basically emailed me while I was on military base with my daughter five states away, that they had just auctioned it. My youngest child suffers from depression and ptsd and I am afraid for her life right now when she finds out. I have called repeatedly every single number all of august trying to reach someone to at least give us our identities back which is a federal crime to sell in the first place. Not one person in this company cares at all. I have waited for managers to call me back because they will not give their contact information out and they never do. It has been a month of this personal nightmare. I reported it to the federal bureau office located in Akron. It is a federal crime to sell people's identities and tax forms, etc. Why does this company continuously get away with this crime?

Desired outcome: Return personal documents and pay for this federal crime. Unit B28
