Omaha Public Power District I keep experiencing power surges at my apartment

I keep experiencing power surges at my apartment. I reached out to OPPD regarding this problem and they said they would investigate. Unfortunately, it occurred again and caused damage to my laptop, forcing me to buy a replacement. A few days later, it happened once more and I complained to OPPD, but they didn't offer any help. I decided to call them and they suggested I buy a surge protector for $*** and pay an additional $per month on my bill. They never mentioned this option when I initially reported the issue. I don't want to spend more money because my power quality is already poor. Computers don't come for free, you know.

Omaha Public Power District I moved out of *** Apartments at the end of October

I moved out of *** Apartments at the end of October . My apartment has been really helpful in trying to fix a problem with OPPD (Omaha Public Power District). I called OPPD to get a refund for November, December, and January because I wasn't living there anymore and I moved out by November 1st. I called OPPD many times to sort this out, but they won't admit that those months aren't my responsibility anymore. I want to get my money back for those months and I can give more details if necessary. Thanks.

Omaha Public Power District My complaint is about a bill of $*** that was put onto my account that doesn't belong to me

My complaint is about a bill of $*** that was put onto my account that doesn't belong to me. Last year, Robert ***'s son had his power shut off, and I put it into my name. So, 3 months after that, my bill in the middle of winter was $***. It suddenly went up to $*** because they added a $*** bill from Bob ***'s son to my account. They refuse to remove it. Because of this, I had to go without power for 8 months, 9 months until COVID-19 hit. Now, I'm struggling to keep my power on. If they would just take off the $*** that I don't owe them in the first place, I wouldn't be in this mess. Robert *** does not live here and has not lived here. They said they added it to my bill because he was getting assistance at this address. I don't care where he gets assistance; that doesn't mean he is living here. He hasn't lived here since he shut the power off. His bill should have been his bill, and they shouldn't have put it back onto my account. This left me without power for 8 months, and now they want $*** by today, or they're going to shut my power off tomorrow. I just sent a payment of $***. If they would take the other $*** off my bill, it would be paid. I don't owe the ***. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Omaha Public Power District Missing payments and rude employees, plus the high bills, need to stop

Missing payments and rude employees, plus the high bills, need to stop. We're in a crisis here. Trying to figure out our bill for the past few months has been a nightmare. On Christmas Day, they sent us a bill for a ridiculous amount of money. I had already paid a good chunk in November, and on December 12th, I paid even more. A relative also chipped in some money. Then on January 17th, I paid a little more, plus a money order for even more. The state even paid a hefty sum. In March, we paid another chunk, and in February, we sent a money order that seems to have disappeared into thin air. So, without that missing money order, we've paid nearly a fortune for power since November. I'm on a fixed income, and I only get a certain amount each month. Yet, they keep sending me bills for way more than I can afford. Finally, after some arguing, they agreed to lower it starting in May , but it's still too much. We've both called them multiple times, only to be hung up on by their unhelpful employees. It's a pandemic, and money is tight already. But we've paid every month, and now OPPD is claiming we missed a payment. Something seems fishy here. Money orders and payments mysteriously go missing, and we can't get any assistance without some jerk hanging up on us. Are we paying for the whole neighborhood's power or what? There are only two people living here, and it's always freezing because we can't turn the heat up high due to these outrageous bills. Yet, we're paying everything we have and then some, and we still owe. What on earth is costing so much? Why can't they keep the bills and payments straight? Why do payments go missing? And why do their employees hang up on us? On top of it all, we had no power for four hours on Easter. Do we get any sort of discount for that?

Omaha Public Power District We've been with OPPD for a long time

We've been with OPPD for a long time. Our recent bill was twice as much as usual, over $*** dollars. I contacted OPPD and spoke with Kim. She said everything looked normal and there was no mistake. I disagreed because I wasn't in the office last year. Kim told me to talk to her supervisor Omar. Omar wasn't available until noon. I waited all day but didn't receive a call. I tried calling their office but the number was disconnected. I was furious. I called every number on their website, but they all said to try again later. I found a local office number and spoke with a nice lady who said their phone lines were down. She didn't know when they would be back up. The next day, Omar called me. He suggested sending a tech to check for any unusual usage. John came on Friday the 26th, 2021 and didn't find anything abnormal. I called Omar again and he said our account was fine. He mentioned a third-party energy testing but wasn't sure about the process and fees. I thanked him and ended the call.
