i ordered an mp4/p3 touch screen it took about 15 days to get and then i finally get my player it looked good
i charged it for alittle bit and then turned it on and was able to mess with it for a total of five min. then the stuipid thing just froze and that it, it wont unfreeze i even tried to reset it and it still wont work. I spent 50.00 for junk there has to be a way to close this site so no more people can get ripped off . the people from this web site are stealing and should be stopped

i have recently brought two liverpool football shirts from Lightinthebox, when i received the tops, they were both the wrong size, but i also noticed that the shirts were not the real thing, as there was no Adidas logo and the spelling on the inside tags was rubbish, the colours on the 2009/10 shirt was wrong on the back, it is suppose to be all gold not white, this i have checked on the proper shirts in the high street stores.
I did send Lightinthebox an e-mail regarding the sizes to see if they would e-mail me back, which they haven't, i have also read some off the other compliants regarding this company, and it is my belief that i will never receive any correspondence from this company.

Ordered one and then two lettered and numbered jerseys from this company. The first came. After one wash (gentle cycle), the letters peeled. Notified them and they said they would give me 30% off on the other two shirts, which were not processed. These are fast e-mail communications (IM speed). I told them to cancel the orders. Within 60 seconds, they processed the orders so that they could not be cancelled. These people are not honorable. Not only do they sell these defective shirts but they do not replace them, even with other defective ones. Obviously, this is a company that one should not deal with. Do not buy soccer or sports jerseys from this company. The letters are just peel-off stickers that will not stay adhered to the fabric. And they do not care except for the money they collect from you.

I ordered an anime costume from this company, paid extra for the package that included the matching slippers; included free shipping. When the package arrived, slippers were missing (Rejected by us customs), and ups needed $20.75 for shipping charges (Brokerage fees? Because the package originated in china).
Ups tells me if litb had ordered a different shipping/billing method, I would not be been billed the extra $20.75.
When I try to contact litb, I get an unmaned phone # (No voice mail, just "call back later). When the order was placed, I received an email from my"customer service rep", I tried to contact him. His reply: contact litb!
Litb says they will send new slippers — what good will that do?! If the first pair were rejected by customs, i'm sure the 2wnd pair will be too! And they didn't say a word about the ups shipping charges.
Ups has be a bit ticked off as well, as the driver told me proof of these shipping charges would be online, through the tracking number. There is no such proof. Its taken me several phone calls and numerous transfers to get anything from ups — everyone I talked to there says there is nothing available to proof that this was billed to me and that I paid it. How can a big co. Like ups not be able to print an invoice for their shipping charges?! I finally got a screen shot of the charges. But from what i've read about litb, I doubt that is going to help. Sounds like i'm just sol.

It looks like you should be mad at the US customs and UPS, not LITB. A store in China can't predict that one of the items they send you will be stopped by the US customs, or what extra fees UPS will decide to charge you.
Just in case you didn't know, UPS is a terrible company. They'll always have the highest "fees" to be paid when you receive the package. They also have a huge problem sticking to their delivery schedule and will always come when you're not home and then make 2 more imaginary attempts to deliver your package (yes, imaginary because the never really come back). And their customer service...well, I am not sure why they have one since they are utterly useless.
I have never tried LITB, but I did try UPS (regretfully) several times and I don't recall having a single positive experience with them. Just remember LITB is in a whole different country on the other side of the world and therefor communication problems, specially over the phone, are pron to happen. Besides, for what you described, even with all that they did try to fix the issue.
If they sent you what they were supposed to send, it's not their fault if YOUR country's customs decided to keep your slippers or if UPS decided you should be charged $20.75 to get your package.
According to what you said, the only mistake LITB made was using UPS to ship their product.

I purchased from this company 3 times. The first time I was scared, because they are in China, but everything arrived and I was happy with the product, so I ordered a second time. More than 1/2 of the items were incorrect, and one wasn't even in the box! I contacted them, and they sent me the missing item. And assured me that they would fix the other items. In the meantime I ordered again. This time was worse. Most of the stuff was incorrect, or never shipped at all. I was charged almost $180.00 for shipping, and only received about 3 pounds of merchandise. No refund on shipping was available - even on the stuff they never shipped (out of stock). It has been over 6 months and I can't get an answer on their phone #, no one returns e-mails or "tickets" left on the website!

I purchase a cell phone from this company back in December of 2008. After several e-mails and such they assured me that it would work. When I recieved this phone (which was a present for my daughter) I look at it and it looked like it was new. Well when we went to get this cell phone up and running it would not work. Then I relized it was a used cell phone. The manual had writing in it and such. I contacted this place about it and within the 7 day returned policy. I shipped it back in Jan. after a ton of emails back and forth they quit responding. It is May now I still havent received my refund of over $200.00 yet. I would suggest that nobody does buiness with this company.If you do BEWARE

Why use paypal? I have always used an ordinary credit-card (Master/Visa) - and if I don't get the goods which I have ordered, I can ask my Danish bank - to refund the money paid/which have been drawn on my account (Possibly a problem when using an extra, outside agent for the payment?)! And I have bought several items from L.I.B. also with one faulty item. When I complained I got the missing part, a bolt in an envelope - or actually 4 new bolts!

I ordered some items from this company in June 2008 and they did not ship the some of the items, so I initiated a dispute on my paypal account. They emailed me that the ONLY way to refund my purchase was to close my paypal account of which I did because it was the first time I've used international payment thru my paypal account. They LIED and LIED to me because after I closed the dispute with paypal, there was no recourse for paypal to initiate the investigation process. After numerous emails back and forth and having tried the U.S.A # (which is a fake # because no one answers), they've stopped responding to my email. I sent them several nasty emails that they were a POOR and UNPROFESSIONAL BUSINESS and I will NEVER do business with them and will definitely tell my friends and families about their POOR SERVICE. It is now May 2009 and still have not receive my refund.

Do not purchase anything from Light in the Box. I ordered my daughter a size 2 mini dress. After paying a ridiculous amount for speedy delivery (speedy for them was 3 weeks) the dress arrived and it is a size 2 on the top and about a size 8 on the bottom. Instead of coming above her knee, it is down to her calf. Not to mention the quality is terrible and it looks nothing like the picture on the website. Everyone I showed it to could not believe it was the same dress in the online picture. I should have known better for shopping at an online site that does not allow returns. Of course the site indicates partial refunds but, they are telling me now they will not allow me to return it. I will complain to as many websites as I can warning people not to shop here. I don't even think Good Will would want this dress.

I usually dont order out of the country and next time Ill pay more attention. My order was placed on October 24th A month later I have no package and still to see a refund. I was going to return to sender since the wedding I ordered it for already passed but I have no package to return to sender. I ordered approx. $30.00 worth of clothing from this company. I was apprehensive because I was burned one time before on a online order from China. When I checked out, I used PayPal for payment. I never received confirmation of the order, and marketing emails from them indicated that I did not buy on my last visit. After about a month without receiving the order, I contacted PayPal to investigate the problem. Not long after contacting PayPal, I received a package from them, but it contained items that I did not order, don't fit, and I don't like, It seems as if they lost my order details, then when contacted by PayPal they figured they should send me something! I failed to contact PayPal in time before this case closed, so they paid the company the $30.00. As of now, there is nothing I can do about it. I will not be ordering from this company again!
Way back in April I returned a dress i ordered (which fitted too big). I sent the package registered too, to make sure they received the item. I bought a dress from light in the box. The order was messed up but finally completed and I recd t he dress. It ws needed for a wedding and hardly got here in time. Then when I tried it on Inoticed that the dress wasnt sewn correctly. The seams didnt match, the zipper was not in right, the hem ws a disaster. One sleeve on the jacket was smaller than the other. So I referred to the return policy. They told me to return and Id be refunded my money but not the postage to return. Also when I read the info to return policy prior to buying, it left out the details that caused this complaint. After requesting a return I was given time slots for refund. It, the way I figure would take over a month. if not more. Then Ihave to send it to China for gosh sake and the postage was very high. nearing $50. That isnt reimbursed. So if and when I ever get reimbursed, Im out at least the postage, maybe restocking fee or whatever they call it, and I dont have the money for another dress for the wedding which is in 10 days! This was THEIR fault, not mine. My measurements were right, theirs werent. Poor workmenship which I should have known as I lived in China for three years! I see other complaints but they still continue. I will say, their customer service reps are nice and professional, however, they dont make the rules. Im sure others just let it go as it is hardly worth the effort. Im not but I feel I should be reimbursed for the postage to china also...and the full amount I paid of $138. Of course a the shipping took forever, when finally I received the merchandise in march, it was already too late and did not apply the 30 days warranty. They figured it out how to get rid off the crappy, defective products they sell! Now what I don't understand that if there is a bad, defective product wouldn't make sense to have it replaced? Afterall if a product does not work after a couple of weeks, then there is an issue with that particular product. It is defective!
Not with light in the box. Apparently the don't have enough light in their heads to figure out that how powerful internet is and for the cheap crappy product they are selling eventually, they will not have any buyer left to cheat and screw.
I had no problem with buying my phone and everything looked good and the phone was shipped in time. But when I started it it was mirrored, so I restarted it and it was back to normal. After that I was about to call my mother and saw that I didn't have a mobile network. So I can't send a text-message I can't receive a text-message, I can't call or receive a call. So I thought 'what if I test to reset the phone and see what happens.' and I did. And look it worked, in 5 minutes... So now I have a phone that doesn't work!
I have tried to contact them, but I don't get any response from them, and that is not OK. Oh I almost forgot, a week after the broken phone got to my door I received an invoice from UPS that didn't emerged when I bought the phone. And is not OK either.

Ordered a phone and dig camera from this iste operating out of China. I paid fro express shipping which should've been 7-9 days but low and behold the CHinese New year happened and my order took a whole month to be delivered. When I ask for compensation on lengthy delay-all they offered was 7.99 the difference between express and normal shipping.
My order arrived without all the bonus accessories which should have accompanied the camera. I emailed customer service, Took them a while to understand that items were missing and they promised quick delivery. After 2 weeks I emailed again to find out why shipping was taking so long. Customer service emailed me back with what appeared a tracking link. I couldnt open any infromation from the link and emailed back to say that.
This time the reply from customer service said airmail does not provide tracking and should take between 10-30 days. I am still steaming with rage!
DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM. Their service is really slow and customer service really lacking!

Umm, I just sent in my order today. Now, what I have seen so far tells me no one has any common sense. How high quality/well made do you expect your items to be if you are paying $5.00 for a dress or $50 for a digital camera? I ordered only clothes, never even CONSIDERED getting any electronics. Yeah, you want a beautiful full-princess wedding gown with a 40-foot train- and it only cost $300? Hope you noticed the notation that they are all 100% polyester. And they have every right to be. Everyone goes in drooling over the low prices, but I was taught that you get what you pay for. I personally don't mind cheap clothing because with the rate things go out of style, it doesn't make sense to spend tons of money on cute trendy clothes. Buy trends cheap, but for staples that last, spend the extra dough.
I bought an underwater sports video camera RD31, it doesn't work but the most annoything thing is that when I loaded the camera driver into my system it turned off my ant virus and ran it's own virus checker which locked all the system then took me to a website to pay £49.99 for their ant virus. I totally agree! They have ripped me off over $300 and they refuse to give me my money back! And half of the items I didn't even order and they still charged me...I wrote to their customer service department and no response. Not only that, but there was not packaging slip or return information for the items. I had to pay out of my own pocket for shipping of over $60 (standard mail) just to return all their crappy products that were poorly made and other items I didn't even want! It took them over a month and a half to process my order. Even then I had written several email complains about my order. Customer service won't email you back and their 1-800 service number is disconnected! I reported them for fraud to my credit card company. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! YOU WILL BE SORRY, like me.

This sight sells popular contemporary canvas artwork that they claim is hand painted. Well I ordered a peice that was a Laurie Maitland called "tabbacco and chocloate". It got here and it was definitely hand painted by someone that has no talent. It was a bogus hand painted rip-off that looks nothing like the original. Do not buy artwork from this place. They also run other websites. lightinthebox.com, eshopwalk.com, and others. Don't be fooled by the cheap price, spend the extra bucks and buy from overstock.com or some other reputable source.

In November of 2008 I began searching for a company who sold NFL jerseys at a discounted price. I gathered 82 friends and compiled an order for 143 NFL jerseys.
I contacted Lightinthebox.com and due to the order size was referred to a man they called Jack. After a series of emails and lists of desired jerseys, we finally worked out an order they could fulfill. The price given per jersey was $19.98 and they agreed to pay the cost of the Western Union transfer ($26.00) and Jack said I could deduct $40.00 for two free jerseys for doing the legwork in putting the order together. The final amount sent was $2791.00 and was transferred on December 3rd of 2008.
Within two days of taking our money, Jack came back and said he needed $300 more or he would be fired. He said he was wrong for making the order and couldnt sleep, ect. I told him that he should send back our money but then reversed his position and said he would make it right. Then after many days of emails back and forth asking for order numbers from them, tracking numbers, ect... he sent me an email with a shippig list that would span two shipments over two days.
To date I have received a total of 66 jerseys and the remaining jerseys ar still unaccounted for. The first 4 boxes were shipped on December 17th and made it to my doorstep in 4 days via DHL, however the remaining jerseys which were to be shipped on the 18th were never sent. I have sent repeated emails, phone calls, and IM's trying to get answers. I have used their chat and contact info on their website only to get run around and brushed off by the persons on the other end.
I have found that their offices (US phone numbers) come from the 650 area code in the US which is in the San Fransico area in CA. and I will be making contact with the BBB in CA to see what can be found out about them there.
It is my opinion that if a company were to do business like this in the USA, they would be in litigation up to their necks within a week. If you want to buy from Lightinthebox it is a gamble in my opinion. If they do send the remainder of my order I will return here and remove or retract this post.

wedding dress
I bought a wedding dress, back in august 2008 for my oct 2008 wedding, I ordered it to my exact measurements and requested for my dress to be as it was in the picture. Black and white, when I recieved the dress it was 3x smaller and not black and white it was navy and white, I called lightinthebox.com, the man was very rude and said I had to pay to ship the dress back and I was not getting another nor a refund. I kept it, and thankfully I had some one alter it!

I ordered a wedding dress from light in the box, I read all their guarentees and shipping times because my wedding was a short time away. They advertise that it may take up to 14 working business days to make a dress and then another 3-5 day for expidited shipping, so I ordered what was at the time the dress of my dreams. With constant email updates and even two personal thank you's from two different account managers I thought everything was perfect, I even got my dress in two weeks total time, but when I got my dress the nightmare began! I had the WRONG dress! I imidiatly started calling but no one ever answered and I went back in the website to file a ticket it said my email and shipment number was unrecognized! I must of tryed it at least 60 times before I gave up. So I tryed calling again and to my surprise someone answered when I told him everything and give him my info all he knew what to say was go online and submit a ticket. For what good do they provide a number if they cannot help you! So once again I went online and tryed to enter a tickect and it worked my best guess is the guy on the phone must of turned on a switch that allowed my complaint to go through? The next day I got a generic message telling me that the dress sent out was the dress I ordered? When in fact the dress I ordered did not even strike a similarity to the one advertised! It is I HORRIBLE place to do business with !

i ordered a knee-length dress and received a full-length dress. plus it was supposed to arrive in 19 days, but it took 36 days, so it missed the only event that i needed my dress for. i sent a picture of the dress to their customer service email and they told me to send it back to china (at my own cost of course) for a full refund. two weeks later i contacted them asking where is my refund, they told me there is nothing wrong with the dress, saying it's knee-length that they can only give me 50% refund. Lightinthebox are deceiptful and liars with poor customer service. They state FREE SHIPPING on bulk orders but they increase the price of each item for bulk orders by at least $10...they are misleading the customers by doing this. They have the WORST customer service I have ever encountered! and I hope they go out of business as they are nothing but CON MEN!

I'll start with the good. Sellerkey ships their product relatively fast. Now for the bad. Their products are not always up to par. I purchased 3 Wii units with 20 games. All of the games were copies of actual games - illegally pirated games. 2 of the Wii units did not work properly. When I contacted customerservice, all I received was a form letter response stating that their products are good, but if I still needed a refund to contact them. I again contacted them, and received the same form letter response. It has been over a week, and I have been unable to get them to accept a return and offer a refund. I have contacted george, jack and the others and they have failed to respond. So, in short, they appear to be a legit dropshipper, but if your product is faulty they appear reluctant to accept returns and atleast in my case, have given me the runaround.

I also purchased a mp4/p3 touch screen player and it will turn on and freeze it doesn't turn off and it won't except the computer at all. I purchased it for my 7 year old daughter for Christmas and now the one and only thing she wanted doesn't work and I can't get anyone to help me.
