When I got my 2017 Porsche Macan, I was excited to take it for a spin. However, after a while, I realized that the battery wasn't registering properly. I did some research and found that iCarSoft had a product that could help me out. I was hesitant to buy it because I wasn't sure if it would work on my car. But after contacting iCarSoft and getting assurance that it was possible, I decided to go ahead and purchase it.

Unfortunately, after receiving the product, I discovered that it only supports OEM replacement batteries and not the aftermarket units that are available. The Innova tool worked perfectly out of the box, and the capabilities were much better than those of the CR Pro. The vendor support was a refreshing change, considering that the Innova site had a compatibility wizard and actual documentation - and good documentation at that.

And it's not like I have an outdated car or anything. I have a 2016 model, but it just doesn't work.
The helpline isn't much help either. They either ignore you or they get back to you but still won't do anything. Or they'll ask you to make data logs to send to them so they can diagnose what faults are in their own system!

I was on the lookout for a diagnostic tool for my XC90. After researching a bit, I found that Volvo VIDA/DICE was available, but I heard it was challenging to use and required a laptop - another expense that I did not want to bear.

So, after much consideration, I went for iCarSoft V2.0. Not only was it the best-featured kit, but it was also reasonably priced. And, I must say, I am glad I went ahead with this purchase.

Soon after buying it, an array of warning lights had me plugging in the V2.0, and it quickly diagnosed an issue with the integrated car phone. The V2.0 pinpointed the problem to be the backup batteries within the unit, and I needed to get two new batteries for ?40, a bit of soldering, and use the V2.0 to clear the codes. And that's it. Job done!

But the V2.0 wasn't done impressing me. After a while, ABS/TC lights started popping up, and once again, I turned to my trusty V2.0. It traced the issue to the driver's front wheel and identified it as a "mechanical" issue instead of an electrical one. The only mechanical part related to ABS down there was the reluctor ring on the end of the drive shaft. So, I booked an appointment with the dealer to get the ring replaced, without going through the dealer's expensive diagnosis process. Once the new ring was fitted, I cleared the codes using the V2.0, and the problem was solved.

To say that my V2.9 was effective would be an understatement. It has already paid for itself at least once over. I saved the diagnosis and investigation costs that would have incurred had I gone to the dealer.

Now, there are more comprehensive tools like Snap On, Delphi, VIDA, etc., out there, but for a simple plug-in unit with its wide-ranging features for diagnosing, fixing, and even configuring non-engine subsystems, I think the V2.0 is unbeatable, especially since it is reasonably priced.

All in all, I am a satisfied iCarSoft V2.0 user, and I would highly recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable diagnostic tool for their vehicle.
