Requested Refund for New Cabinet Installation

My name is Sherhonda Reid, daughter of Milton and Shelia Evans. I wish to bring to your notice a report of a refund that was requested approximately one month ago. Approximately four months ago, my parents paid over $15,000 at your store #3616 for new cabinet design and installation services, as of today they have not received the cabinets from your branch in Raleigh North Carolina.

To our surprise, after a two month wait, the cabinet measurements were incorrect, the design was incorrect, and no updates or services were provided throughout the entire process. After being informed the measurements and design provided wouldn’t work after months of waiting. We continued to check the problem; the feedback process continued to be horrible. After months of frustration, we requested a refund and cancellation of the service requested. The initial payment of over $15,000 was removed from my parents checking account immediately. We are requesting the funds be replaced back into my parents account immediately as they were removed promptly. Again, after waiting one month for a refund we are still waiting for the funds to be placed back into the account. Several calls have been placed through to your customer care, and we have spoken with a couple of representatives, who promised to communicate with us on the refund status. As of today, we have no refund and have not heard from any representatives from Home Depot.

We would appreciate it if you could investigate the matter and have the funds refunded.

While we await your response, we want to inform you that a complaint has been filed with numerous representatives for assistance (Better Business Bureau, and NC Attorney Generals Office), our next step of efforts will be to speak with a local news broadcaster to ensure no other client accounts will be managed in this manner. We wish to receive a favorable response in the next 5 days.

Unfortunately this transaction involves Mr and Mrs Evans and we need to communicate directly with them; we're sure you can understand.

Please have them contact the location they made the transaction with. They will be happy to assist them in canceling their order and providing any refund due them. You, of course, are welcome to join them if you'd like.
