On September 6, 2022 I made a $6211 purchase on my HD credit card and took advantage of a 24 month 0% financing promotion. I set my account up to autopay and to complete the payments in 23 months. All payments were processed on-time and more than the minimum payment. I needed a new refrigerator in January, so I purchased one on the credit card and then made an online payment of the total cost of the refrigerator a couple of weeks later (to ensure no interest was charged). I thought everything was good, but when I looked at my statement for July I saw that interest was now being charged. What happened was that they took my online payment for my refrigerator and applied the majority of it to my 24 month 0% financing and a small amount to the refrigerator which made me have a balance that was outside of the 0% financing promotion. I feel like I have been "tricked" by this company (HD and Citi) for them to earn interest. I was on the phone with customer service for over 1 hour this morning and they could not resolve and I waited another 30 minutes on a manager to talk to, but they never got on the phone. I finally decided to pay the balance of the account and closed. I have been a long time HD customer, but I will go elsewhere now. So disappointed in their methods and not being able to talk to someone that could fix this simple problem.

Desired outcome: Refund me the $111.90 of interest that I was fraudulent charged.
