Function of Beauty Expensive and deceptive company

This company should be ashamed of the way they operate. First off they are arrogantly expensive. Even for custom made formulas and the prices for their skincare is worse. I skipped a auto shipment and pushed it out farther but they will make damn sure that doesn't happen a second time and they don't email you prior to an auto ship and will literally do it in the middle of the night when 99% of people are sleeping. Then when you call them on it and tell them you are not in need of any products at the given moment and only refund you 50%. Also, USE STRICTLY USPS.No one wants slow as a slug pitney bowes for a shipping partner. Get a grip. Finally is the article about their products ruining people hair,(https://www.vice.com/en/article/wx5q3b/inside-the-function-of-beauty-backlash-hair-care-social-media)making fall out and the suspicious lack of negative reviews of their product. Even the best of beauty products get a fair amount of negative reviews from people. Heck even Dr. Dray Board Certified Dermatologist Stopped Using F. O. B as her sponsor for her youtube videos. That is saying something. Wake up and stop giving your money to these overpriced hack. There is only one person one their payroll that even remotely is qualified to be employed at this business and that's their chemist.

Function of Beauty Can you guys explain why theres been so much account data crossing?

Can you guys explain why theres been so much account data crossing? I few weeks ago I clicked on an email from FOB and when I went to the website it had me logged in as another person. I could see their address, payment method, and everything. So. I logged out, found the person who the account belonged to and let them know. Today I recieved an email confirming my order (to which I had not ordered anything). The email address was mine but the email was for a different guest. I logged into my account to make sure I was not charged for anything and it had her contact info listed under my account. Ive been a customer for 2 years and like the product, but will cancel everything if something isnt done about this. Ive never had this kind of problem wirh other companies and I dont want my private details being mixed up or accessible to others.

Function of Beauty Despite the products being nice

Despite the products being nice. The customer service is horrendous. I have tried cancelling my subscription by removing my card details and removing my information, due to the fact there is no clear way to cancel a subscription. Despite this, I woke up this morning to find $93 AUD removed from my account and a message stating I will receive my parcel soon which is getting sent to the wrong address. I have reached out and hope to hear from them soon but at the moment I am not happy.

Although it smelled amazing and made my hair gorgeous at first, I started noticing my hair getting noticeably thinner after three weeks. I stopped using the product after six weeks due to moderately sized clumps of my hair falling out and have since been trying to return my hair to it's normal volume. I have lost about a third of my volume and my hair isn't as curly as it used to be. The company does not offer a return or reformulation after 30 days, nor do I want the latter for fear of more hair loss, therefore I do not recommend Function of Beauty hair lines for any hair type.

I placed an order on January 31 and my order was processed on the same day, at 7:42pm. It's February 9 and I still have not received my order. I emailed Function of Beauty since that's the only way to reach out to them, and I got an automated sort of response back saying it'll take 4-5 days for them to respond back to me. I am never EVER ordering from this company, again. I checked my account for Function of Beauty to make sure I have subscriptions linked to my cc. Because if they try to charge me for anything again, I'll be contacting the fraud department and file a lawsuit with my lawyer.

I cancelled my subscription, then 2 months later, received an email saying that they had already started making my product and would be charging my card! Usually they give a warning email to "review your subscription", but this time I had no opportunity to correct their mistake. When I complained to them, they offered to refund me 50%, but still charged me for this product I did not want after I explicitly cancelled my subscription. Unacceptable.

My completely healthy, thick beautiful hair has turned to straw and is falling out in handfuls. I spent money getting test by a doctor to find out there was nothing wrong with me. Mentioned this to a friend and she mentioned that she was having problems as well and the only thing we had in common was we were using the same shampoo and conditioner from function of beauty

Function of Beauty After seeing this product in target and reading the label saying it's an all natural hair product I decided to try it out

After seeing this product in target and reading the label saying it's an all natural hair product I decided to try it out. After using it my hair started to fall out in clumps, and it made my scalp burn. I have stopped using the product, but my hair is still falling out. My hair used to be very thick and healthy, and now it's so thin. This product ruined my hair, and worst of all I don't know if my hair will ever get back to normal. This product can't be made with all natural ingredients, or else people's hair wouldn't be falling out. I hope that this company gets sued and shut down for good.

Function of Beauty I started using their shampoo and conditioner in January

I started using their shampoo and conditioner in January. I specified that I dry scalp so I thought since these products were made for each person that this would help my hair and scalp. Instead, I have a red scalp that is burning from a reaction the shampoo have me and I have had to stop using it. On top of it all, I did not know that this was a subscription website and I was charged $75 for another set that will never get used. There is no possible way to return it so please be careful. I would suggest not to order this overpriced shampoo, but do your research on good shampoo and conditioner that you can buy at the drug store.

If I could give zero stars I would. I've been using Function of Beauty for a year now. It did make my hair shinier and healthier looking so I always continued to use it. However, overtime my hair has began to fall out. I am 21 years old and there is no reason for my hair to be falling out. I only use function of beauty products on my hair so that's the only thing that could be causing it. If you're thinking about using Function of Beauty, DON'T. My hair was so long and thick and now is so thin.

Function of Beauty FoB charged me for products despite me having cancelled the subscription

FoB charged me for products despite me having cancelled the subscription. Customer support (patronizingly) reminded me to check My Account in the future, so I did. There is no address on file, no subscription status, no credit card information, no order history, nothing. They still went ahead and charged me for a subscription I didn't even know I had! I have already pointed this out to them once before, that none of my details are visible/editable by me, and they went ahead a did a big fat nothing. In conclusion, FoB has stored my data possibly without consent, and most certainly continues to use it without my consent or allowing cancellation/deletion of this service.

Function of Beauty Deceptive Trade Practices, that is what I think

Deceptive Trade Practices, that is what I think. All the photos of their products online, as of a few minutes ago on June 25, show each bottle FULL. Full to the brim. But when you receive the items, they are not completely filled. An 8 ounce bottle of shampoo was missing about an ounce of product. I did contact them and they said the bottles aren't full because they might spill during shipping. The person also said something like -- we should really change our pictures on the website so customers actually understand what they are getting. Really? You spend ~$50 plus shipping for one shampoo and one conditioner. Fill the bottle. Sell what you picture on your website - full bottles of products.

Function of Beauty DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMAPNY

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMAPNY. There is literally no way to go in and cancel your subscription on their website. I have removed all of my payment methods from my account settings and I am STILL being charged not once but TWICE for each order they automatically send me that I DON'T WANT. Hundreds of dollars each month. They will not stop sending me their products and charging my bank account even though I have removed this information. There is no confirmation email for you to agree to receiving another order. They will just send an email saying your order is processed and on the way. Even if you don't make an order. It is absolutely infuriating. I cannot get anybody from customer service to help me properly.

Function of Beauty I have ordered from this company several times over the years

I have ordered from this company several times over the years. Recently, I received an email that an order was on the way, which is odd since I haven't ordered anything! Log into my account and it's obvious it has been hacked, my address has been changed to somewhere in Great Britain and I live in the US. Sent 2 emails, got a generic auto response. Reach out to them on social media, they respond but instead of actually attempting to help me they just keep acting like they don't understand what I'm saying...it's pretty simple when I say my account has been hacked, my address has been changed, and there's an order I didn't place. How hard is that!? They obviously don't care and aren't even trying to help me out. At this point, I just want my account deleted and they aren't helping with that either! And, no phone number in site! How is that even feasible! NEVER again!

Function of Beauty I had a recurring subscription with function of beauty

I had a recurring subscription with function of beauty. This past shipment caused quite a bit of hair loss. During my shower, with the latest shipment, my hand would come away covered in my hair. I had not cause any trauma to my hair by way of coloring or chemical treatment. I have no health issues. I contacted the company with this issue as well as a malfunctioning pump top for the bottle. The response was generic and implied no ownership of the issue and did not offer a solution for my current issue. They also did not address the unworking pump. I always discounted the hair loss reports and was totally convinced they would handle it appropriately if it ever happened to me. The result was them telling me to talk with my doctor or order fragrance free next time, offering no help with replacing or refunding the shipment. I will happily take my business elsewhere because the company demonstrates an inability to identify and address a problem that a significant amount of people are reporting; instead preferring to discount reported issues.

Ordered and signed up for an automatic shipment every 3 months. Received it for the first time and loved it. It was shipped 2 days after order was placed. Nothing changed and the automated email saying the order was placed on September 21. Well it is now October 13 and I haven't received anything yet but they took my money September 22. I emailed October 9 to inquire about what had happened. I received an automated email saying my order was scheduled to ship September 30, that date had already came and gone. So I responded letting them know then I believe that I got an email from an actual person that said it was going to be shipped October 10 and the reason for the delay was because my address was incomplete. How is that possible? This is a repeat shipment. When I told her that she changed it to I selected too many focuses and she changed it. NOTHING CHANGED! This is a subscription of the same thing as last time! Then October 11 I received another email that said the ship day is now October 12. As of today, October 13th I have yet to receive an email stating the shipment is on its way.

Function of Beauty I started a hair care subscription with Function of Beauty in August and, in December, set the order frequency to "every 6 months

I started a hair care subscription with Function of Beauty in August and, in December, set the order frequency to "every 6 months". It was my fault that I had forgotten about the subscription in that time, BUT in their current (6/25) Terms of Service, under "NOTIFICATIONS; AUTOMATIC ORDER CREATION" it states, "Your subscription will thereafter automatically create a new order according to your chosen delivery schedule, until you cancel. Prior to the processing of each subsequent order, you will receive a notice including your estimated ship date, last date to modify your order, and estimated pricing." I did not receive any notice, through email or otherwise, that a new order was being processed. If I had, I would have canceled the order and the subscription. Instead, I only happened to see the charge to my credit card several days too late to cancel it. I've now lost $38 and will soon receive a set of hair products I don't want. I emailed them several days ago and have heard nothing. I've now canceled my subscription, deleted my credit card information, and deleted my saved email (which has effectively deleted my account). I sincerely hope that this will not happen again 6 months from now.

Function of Beauty Horrible would give them 0 stars if I could

Horrible would give them 0 stars if I could. My order shipped but has yet to be delivered and the tracking still shows expected delivery of 8/21. When I contacted them on 8/24 after the mail came and still no order I got some sort of automated email about delivery being expected on 8/27 which made no sense because nothing else I had reflected that. A couple days later I got an email that assured me my order had shipped and was giving the tracking number. This made no sense to me because I specifically said when I contacted them that I was expecting the order on 8/21 and still had not gotten it three days later. I'm not sure what made them think I wanted to know if the order shipped and needed the tracking number. I replied to this email telling them I did not need the provided information I was aware the order had shipped and I had the tracking number. I even provided screenshots of their own website with this tracking info and the *** site. The responded yet AGAIN with a tracking number I DIDN'T NEED and a lousy $5 account credit. Zero acknowledgement of the order I was supposed to get last week. I don't want $5. I don't even want the product at this point. I want my $34.15 back. I'm done waiting. I made a complaint through *** and told them I was doing so and that I would be complaining to the ComplaintsBoard.com as well.

Function of Beauty This review isn't because of the product

This review isn't because of the product. After reading other reviews on here I feel fortunate enough that my hair wasn't damaged or falling out in chunks, among other things. This review is strictly for the company and their bad customer service. I placed my very first order with them on September 1 for two 16oz bottles of shampoo and conditioner plus a bottle of hair mist which came out to $65.80. I never recieved a confirmation that my order was recieved so I unknowingly placed a second order for the same products and discovered later on that I had placed two different orders totaling nearly $125. As if to add insult to injury when I brought this to their attention they only offered a $5 credit to my account. I placed my 3rd order with them on April 7 and other than receiving pumps when I said I didn't want pumps, there were no problems with my order. On July 6 I placed what would end up being my final order with them. When I received an email stating my subscription was on hold due to the fact that my next payment didn't go through I logged into my account, placed the order and upon receiving an email stating my order had been received I assumed the problem had been fixed. The next day I received another email stating my payment hadn't gone through which of course confused me. I logged into my mobile banking app and it had shown that my card had been charged which of course just further added to the confusion. It wasn't until I logged into my FoB account that I discovered the problem. They were trying to charge me for a second subscription! I contacted them through email and *** and to this day I've never received a response to my email. I ended up cancelling both subscriptions. To top it off, when my package arrived the seal on the shampoo was broken so it leaked all over the box. After taking out the shampoo and conditioner I ended up throwing out the box as well as the brand new pumps and all other contents. While I'm not happy that I need to start shopping for new shampoo and conditioner, I've had too many issues with this company to want to continue ordering from them.

Function of Beauty I subscribed to their automatic refill program and they gave me a date of October **, 2020 for my next order

I subscribed to their automatic refill program and they gave me a date of October , 2020 for my next order. On October *, 2020, they charged my account $119.78 USD for the next order and said it would arrive by October ***. I misunderstood how they calculate the refill date. I thought they would charge me on October ***. As soon as I received their order confirmation email on October ***, I emailed them to let them know that I wasn't expecting to be billed until October *** and that I wanted to delay my next order because I still had plenty of product from my last order. I didn't really expect them to refund or delay my order based on their cancellation policy, but I hoped that by emailing them right away, they might consider it (since they hadn't started making my products yet). They claim to respond to emails within 48 hours, but it's now October *** and I still haven't received a reply. On October ***, I sent another email asking for information about my active order. They said it would be delivered by October ***, but it hasn't arrived and I haven't received any shipping confirmation. Once again, the promised 48-hour response time has passed with no reply. I'm starting to think they took my money and have no intention of responding to my emails or delivering my order. I'm sending this complaint in the hope that they will either reply to my emails or send me my order.

Function of Beauty Subscription

On Nov. 4th, function of Beauty send me an email telling me that my account was inactivated since they are updating their website. I try log into my account because I want to cancel my subscription. I wasn't able to log into my account with my passwords, but they also didn't email me on how to activate my account. They basically just keep me from logging into my account. However, they still managed to proceed my subscription order (Nov.6th) when I couldn't even log into my account to cancel subscription.

Claimed loss: 109

Desired outcome: Please cancel the order and refund. I would appreciate a response.

Function of Beauty Money taken out of my bank account without my consent

I used Function of beauty until July 2022. After realising it was making my hair greasy and was out of my budget I cancelled it. I forgot about the company until I got a charge of £42 from them unexpectedly. I saw in my emails that they had made an order themselves which they were dispatching to a previous address. I am not currently working and have very little money so not only am I completly out of pocket, I also won't have access to this product. I emailed the company who said it is against their pilocy to refund orders. I explained I didn't make the order and they wouldn't listen and instead told me they will give me £13 credit on my account to use in the next 90 days. I told them that's not good enough because I don't intend on using their products again, I also said I need the money back they took. Eventually, they told me to contact the delivery service and ask them to change my address because they can't refund because of policy. I told them I won't because I didn't make this order in the first place and I won't be using this product. They then shut me down saying "thank you for your feedback."

Desired outcome: I would like my money back from this incident and for this not to happen again. I would also like an apology for how customer service responded to this.

I initially purchased products from Function of Beauty on Feb 6th, 2021. I remember choosing not to get a reoccurring shipment because it was the first time I was using the product. The product did not work for me, it made my scalp itchy & dry, it was unsatisfactory.Months later, on Aug 9th, I checked my bank statement for a charge for $70.94. I received an email until THAT DAY when I got an email saying "My order had shipped". Apparently they just charged my account on Aug 5th without any notification. It was shipped to the wrong address. i never authorized this purchase.I went to the site to submit a complaint. I was never contacted and in two days I received an email claiming my problem had been "resolved". Again, I was never contacted. I've tried calling their customer service, the number is disconnected. I have reached out on various platforms including their website, email, instagram and have had no response. I want my money back. I never confirmed this purchase.

I have tried several times since the beginning of the year to cancel my account to this subscription based beauty care company to no avail. I have spent approximately $200 on hair care products after trying to cancel my account. I have kept the product because its not a bad product and it would be expensive to send it back. I have cancelled through the account page on the website and dont know that they have kept the account active until I get a shipment notice!

I canceled my subscription on September 18 and this morning, November 16, I received an email stating that my card had been charged and they were processing my order (unauthorized). I canceled again this morning and received an email confirming my subscription cancellation; an email that was identical to the one I received on September 18. I also followed up with an email, demanding a full refund and permanent cancellation of my subscription. Its unbelievable that a business can reactivate canceled subscriptions and charge people during this time when everyone is struggling.

In august I placed a one time order for a bottle of shampoo and conditioner. I did not sign up for a subscription, not did I place another order. On 11/12 I got an email saying my payment was received and my order processed as per my subscription. I contacted the company who only offered me a 50% refund for this order. I want a full refund for this order that I did not order and do not want. Especially since I did not sign up for a subscription since I only wanted to try the product first.

June I decided to take the step and order Function of Beauty. My hair started to look a bit better but I noticed I had a lot of fall out, which for me is sort of normal since I'm trying a new thing and maybe the damage was finally leaving. Throughout July my hair was getting tinner, stupid me was thinking that it looks thinner because the frizzy is FINALLY gone. At the end of July a CHUNK of hair fell out leaving a bald spot. Checking up on the spot (and still using FoB) my hair wasn't growing back. My family worried and asking what I changed. The only thing I changed in my 100% routine is changing my shampoo and conditioner (to function of beauty ). Today (August 17th) i decided to email the company asking if something was wrong with the batch and telling them that my hair is falling out in chunks. An email was sent to me (response: wait two days for a human response). While waiting I went back to my account to see the ingredients of what I selected and account marked canceled.

I currently have a subscription to Function of Beauty, and the website refuses to cancel the subscription or to even take my credit card off the website so that I do not get charged for products I do not want anymore. Every time I have attempted to cancel, the website conveniently has an error that says it cannot process my request despite working perfectly fine for every other request I have done. I believe that this company is a scam and engaging in shady business. I have emailed the help email directly stating my desire to cancel, and they have not done so

We ordered shampoo from Function of Beauty last year for our daughter. Haven't heard from them since. At 9:05am this am, I get an email that my order is being processed. What order? I try to locate their phone number - it's not on their website. I reset my password to get into my account (didn't know I had one) with them - no phone number. Then I see another email at 9:35am that my order's been processed. I email them from their website that I have not authorized payment. I shouldn't be on a subscription. A reputable company would have their phone number listed online AND allow notice for a customer to change the order - nothing. I filed with Paypal to stop the transaction - they had a number for FOB, which I called - no answer - got voice mail. Emailed them again through another portal online. This company is extremely nonreputable. Is this the only way they get business? I've deleted my payment info (which should never have been stored). I'd like the order stopped + payment returned.

I cancelled my subscription with Function of Beauty on 04/29 and received an email confirmation of the cancellation. Today they charged me for the recurring subscription that I cancelled months ago. I've contact them and they are only willing to provide a 50% refund and cancel the subscription yet again. There is no guarantee that they won't do this again in another 3 months. Their majority of the reviews on social media indicate this is a regular practice for this company and I'm one of MANY people they illegally charged for cancelled subscriptions. They are refusing to refund the $49.12 they charged me for the cancelled subscription. I am attaching the cancellation confirmation from 4/29 as well as the charge from 8/19.

I bought shampoo and conditioner from function of beauty company. Bought this at the end of June or beginning of July and paid around 50 dollars for the product. I began using it and after a couple weeks noticed my hair falling out I discontinued using it after using for a month and I now have a baseball sized bald spot on the left side of my head. I noticed it I mean really noticed it this morning while trying to put my hair up. Im devastated and couldnt keep from crying. People need to know this so it doesnt happen to anyone else.

Function of Beauty I have made two one time orders with this company

I have made two one time orders with this company. One was for $51.18 on March and the other was just last month May for $47.96. There was a purchase that was on my bank app at 3am in the morning while I was sleeping for $72.50. I would like a refund I did not authorize this payment. I only made 2 one time orders, i did not sign up for every 3month, rvery 6months, or yearly subscription. I did not authorize to keep my payment information on this website. I did like the products it is why i ordered a second time. But i do not appreciate an order i did not order myself. I am really upset and will do everything in my power legally if i do not get my refund back and card information taken out your system. There is no number to speak with anyone. I have emailed 3xs and still no answer. This is ridiculous and childish. If you can not run a online buisness then dont. I have never had an issue like this with online stores. Answer and refund me or we can move forward with legal issues. Thanks but no thanks.

I ordered from function of beauty two separate times... after I used it for a month I loved it so I ordered again while I had the money, both times I switched to one time only delivery which should have removed me from the auto renewal... 3 months after the first delivery they took money from my account that I didnt have which caused a NSF of 45... a month later the same thing happened, I called and they cancelled the reoccurring subscription..After using the product for a month I loved it then after the month *** I noticed my hair starting to fall out in clumps! I use to have extremely thick soft hair, since using the product (started using July ) my hair is now thin, extremely brittle and no matter how much I trim it its course and tangly due to breakage... I would like people made aware of though it's great at first, the long time issues are I hope reversible but my hair currently is a MESS and the only reason I used it this long is because its extremely expensive especially with 2 NSF charges and I couldn't let it go to waste either due to severe money issues...

I placed an order with Function Of Beauty incorrectly a couple of months ago. The following morning after placing the order I contacted them via email since they do not offer a phone number and cancelled my order/subscription. Two weeks later I received an email saying the my order was processed and being prepared to ship. I emailed them once again letting them know that I cancelled my order/subscription and not to send it out. They did anyway and charged me full price. Even though I contacted them the very next day after the order was placed, they said I waited too long and could not cancel. 2-3 weeks later I received another email saying that my order was being prepared and ready to ship. I complained via email once again reminding them that I cancelled my order/subscription and DO NOT want it. They STILL sent it again and billed my credit card. Several emails sent again to this company that does not offer and phone number or link to cancel a subscription and I demanded my order be cancelled. This morning I received the same email one again that my order is being prepared to ship. Now I have to go to the bank and cancel my credit card and order a new one so this nightmare stops. I looked them up on the ComplaintsBoard.com website and they have an F rating. Multiple complaints matching mine.

I ordered a shampoo/conditioner set from Function of Beauty and I specifically ordered it SILICONE FREE. I happily used my products for a few weeks before noticing my scalp was developing a horrible rash. It got worse so I saw my dermatologist and she recommended that I stop using my Function of Beauty products immediately and request my ingredients. I was supposed to receive a full ingredients list with my shipment but I did not. So I went to their customer service email and requested it. I received a full refund for my scalp reaction (but I had to cancel my subscription myself) and i was provided with a list of ingredients. My problem is the list I was given contained silicones, which is exactly what I ordered my kit to NOT HAVE IN IT. I emailed three separate people asking for MY specific list of ingredients, since I had a scalp reaction and wanted to check my own ingredients specifically for allergens, and one person said "oh just remove the silicones and those are your ingredients" and another person just sent me my hair profile. My concern is that they lied about my shampoo/conditioner set being silicone-free and now don't want to own up to their mistake or their false advertising. I'm really upset and haven't heard from anyone forn48 hours concerning this issue, despite two emails I've sent to their help email.

Function of Beauty Firstly I bought a bottle of shampoo and conditioner in March

Firstly I bought a bottle of shampoo and conditioner in March . I was not satified with the product and asked for a free reformulation, which is a service they provide. After I received the second bottle (May ), I cancelled my subscription. Today they charged me 525 Norwegian kroner, for a subscription i cancelled 6 months ago. I've sent them 5 different mails, and I get the same automated response. I've read through their terms of service as well and it says and i quote "The charge for each subscribed item will be billed to the payment method used to create your subscription or as otherwise directed by you. If we are unable to complete your order with the payment method you used to create your subscription, you authorize us to update your subscription with another payment method in your account and to charge the payment method for your order. Your subscription will remain in effect until it is cancelled. You can cancel at any time via Manage Subscription, which can be found in your Account." I've recieved several mails telling me to update my billing information whom I've disregarded as my subscription was supposed to be cancelled. I did not consent to anything, as all the mails eventually landed in my spam folder. I really don't know what to do as they've stopped ansvering me. I would really like some help as I've tried everything and I really don't know what to do anymore.

Function of Beauty I had a fraudulent charge on my credit card for an order from this Company that I had never heard of

I had a fraudulent charge on my credit card for an order from this Company that I had never heard of. There was no phone number listed on the website to call the business to work through the issue so I immediately called my credit card company to report the fraud and cancel my card. 2 months later I received a notice from my credit card company that there was another charge that was attempted by Function of Beauty but the credit card company denied the charge. Since the fraudulent charge happened a second time, I decided to go to Function of Beauty's website to attempt to contact them. I submitted a request through their website and notified them that there had been 2 separate fraudulent charges on my credit card. I included my phone number and asked them to call me and also asked for a number where I could call them. I received an automated response that it would take at least FOUR days for someone to get back to me. I received an actual response SEVEN days later. They told me that they did not have any way to communicate with customers via phone and requested that I email them the last 4 digits of my credit card plus my full name and address. This is absolutely insane information to send via email when there is already fraudulent activity happening. There is no responsible solution from this company to ensure that I will not continue to have fraudulent charges attempted on my credit card.

I signed up for function of beauty in the beginning of the year based on a deal that was being offered. After using it for a few weeks I didnt enjoy the smell or how it made my hair feel; the product was clearly damaging my hair like many other people have complained about. I checked out my function of beauty account page and I couldnt see a subscription in my page or anything indicating I would continue to receive these products. So when I received another package and was charged for another round of products in August, I was surprised. At first I tried to reach out to function of beauty, didnt get a response that was helpful. So I did a dispute with my credit union, got some money back thought this was the end. I had to change my debit card number so this wouldnt happen again. Just today I have been charged for the transaction from August. My credit union told me that my dispute was invalid according to function of beauty, and they had said that I had received notification of my subscription coming again. I have went over the exact date they sent the email through my regular emails folder, junk, and trash, I received nothing from function of beauty. They have now lied and stolen my money again, I need my money back and my account canceled. Also after checking to see if my subscription was on my account, I couldnt see how my card was charged it was not saved under anything. So how my card/account was charged is a huge mystery considering there is no information saved on my account. So do they have the cards saved in the back end where you cannot delete it?

This company sells customizable hair products and has an optional subscription service where customers are charged every month. I opted out of their subscription service when I purchased my initial order in May . I even made sure to delete my payment info and details so that it wouldn't be on file after I made my original purchase. In June , I get an email saying another order is on it's way. I checked my bank statement and they had charged me again. I used their "contact us" link on their website and explained that I'd been charged again afyer opting out of a subscription. I received an automated reply via email instructing me to cancel my subscription... BUT I NEVER HAD A SUBSCRIPTION TO BEGIN WITH. I went to my account on their website, and sure enough, I wasn't able to cancel something I never had. There FAQ page details how to cancel a subscription. I followed those directions to, but still couldn't cancel anything bc there wasn't anything to cancel. I never had a subscription and so I didn't have a subscription tab on my account page in order to do so, because again, I had opted out of a subscription during my intial purchase so there wasn't any place for me to cancel. I reached out to the company via twitter and instagram direct message and explained the situation and gave them my email address. Both times they said a customer service representative has already resolved the issue and to make sure to checj my spam folder. The message they werw referring to was an automated response that directed me to cancel a subscription I never had to begin w/ therefore, impossible for me to cancel. I told them that I never corresponded with an actual human being but received an autimated reply and I check/delete my spam folder everyday and nothing was there. After this, I received no responses, they just ignored all of my further messages. On Twitter, other people told me that they'd had the same problem of opting out of a subscription plan upon their first purchase but subsequently being repeatedly charged every month after. They said they also reached out to the company through writing via social media but were completely ignored. My complaint is for false advertising (subscription service option lie), fraud (charging me for a subscription order that I never had), poor chstomer service practices (everything is a predetermined automated response and interacting w/ a person is difficult bc they tell you their automated reaponse already tok care of it), and data collection (keeping my credit card info after I deleted it from my account imformation). I could even understand if their practices were to put the customer on a default subscription until they manually opted out of it, but that's not what happened here. I'm not even able to opt out bc my account shows that I'm not on a subscription, and yet they keep charging me like I am on one. There's nothing to opt out from, no subscription!
