After filing two complaint emails I have been ignored
There is a reason they are listed as a pre paid contractor and always ask for payment in full before the work starts.
The photos below speak for themselves - this is not a definitive list but just major items.
Front door installed crooked and left loose.
Recommendation: Find an alternate reputable contractor - do not pay upfront
AVOID! Don't try to save here, you will end up paying much more.
The vinyl windows are questionable quality, however the service is the worst possible. It is apparent that the service department delegates the work to a local third parties, which are not taking any ownership for fixing the issues. It always ends up with "we will report to the office". The company knows about its flaws, hence requesting the payment upfront, leaving you on your own when dealing with any possible issues.
I regret that we even started dealing with Ecoline Windows.
Recommendation: Don't waste your time and money, choose your local reputable firm instead!
Good quality windows!
Had new triple pane windows installed just before the New Year. Vlad C was very helpful and was able to quickly put up a contract and help us deal with any administrative steps along the way flawlessly. After the installation, our house is retaining heat much better.
Overall we are very satisfied with our purchase and recommend Ecoline to anyone looking for high quality windows.
Recommendation: Ask for Vlad
Constantine and crew just installed a beautiful patio door for us, they were friendly and left us no mess. We’ve contacted service regarding kick lock( & one other minor issue, what looks like a wider opening seam) can’t get it to work but this may be we’re doing something wrong. Service replied in a timely manner and said they’ll have someone come out to look. Assuming that happens it’s a good experience!
During the manufacturing process, we were kept apprised of the progress
We had our windows on the upper floor of our house replaced with Ecoline Windows recently. Eugene came out to do the installation, was prompt, polite, and did the installation perfectly. Kate Z was our salesperson and we were impressed with her wealth of knowledge about the product and her ability to explain everything clearly. During the manufacturing process, we were kept apprised of the progress and all the scheduled appts happened when promised. The entire process has been a pleasure. Thanks so much and here's to years of enjoying our beautiful new windows!
Recommendation: Check all options on sign
Fixed our problem with air coming in and ice build up
We had 2 bedroom windows replaced last year and the experience was fantastic! We had Alex come and measure and give us a quote on the spot. When the crew arrived to install the window it only took them 47 minutes to replace both windows and a couple more minutes for the finishing touches.
The windows are super smooth to open and fixed our problem with air coming in and ice build up.
We called them again this year and we're having them replace 3 more windows.
Recommendation: We called them again this year and we're having them replace 3 more windows.
Workmanship and the final product are flawless
The initial assessment phase was very good. We received really helpful info and advice on how to proceed and the various design options available, and how they would suit our needs. The cost estimate was done on site, and adjusted in real time with any possible options/changes we wanted to explore (sliding vs swing-out, etc). When install day came, they arrived on time as scheduled. Did a spectacular job! I really mean that. They were courteous, professional, and bring a strong work ethic. Workmanship and the final product are flawless. This experience exceeded our expectations and we're very happy! Would certainly recommend to anyone
Professional and hard working
Andrew's crew were very professional and hard working. They didn't waste any time on the job and installed 21 windows and one door in 1 day at my house. I am so glad to work with Ecolin window. From the moment I signed the contract they were sending me updates about progress of my order and they help me through my application for Canada's Greener house Grant.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They have the absolute worst service I have ever experienced. We didnt get what we ordered, it took a YEAR for our doors and windows to finish being installed, they were constantly late or didnt show up for scheduled installation appointments, they damaged our door and tried to install it damaged thinking we wouldnt notice, they constantly come up with excuses and will start screening your calls if you actually try to hold them accountable to get your items installed. We actually had to turn off our caller ID in order to have someone answer our phone calls asking about installation dates and times. This is the absolute worst company. They caused us so much headache and frustration over the last year and we still did not end up with the products that we wanted. We specifically asked for all sliding windows and our salesman *** messed up all of our specifications for our order and now we have half crank windows and half sliding. We also have front and back doors with deadbolts and a door handle and when they ordered the new doors they ordered ones with just one hole in them and wouldnt provide any monetary compensation we had to live for 2-3 months with just a deadbolt in our door and no door handle.
EcoLine Windows provide excellent services for my windows upgrading. From project manager, ***, to *** are very professional and worth to be trusted. They will make your mind peaceful.
The installers arrived on time, completed the installation in a professional manners and cleaned up after. I highly recommend this company as they install high quality windows at a very competitive price.
Ecoline has delivered as promised , the two day installation was done on time and exceed expectation . Very well priced and excellent quality. Will definitely recommend Ecoline Windows and Doors .
We contacted Ecoline for the simple reason their reviews were good. When Vlad C. came out to provide us with a quote for window replacements, we could immediately see that he knows this business. A few hour later we received his very comprehensive quote, leaving no room for surprises. A quality product for a decent price. We're excited to see our window replacement project to completion with Ecoline.

P They are the worst contractor we have used by our Strata, The complaint is basically for our *** Strata,to replace 8 Garden Windows.workmanship, poor; customer service non-existent; one window was measured and the wrong size was sent twice; one window was found to have been improperly installed, resulting in moisture/rot was not replaced, before installationthis brought the other 7 windows construction under question. Another contractor we had used reviewed the work and was very critical of the quality of work He wrote a detailed review, bur cannot share here as it has too many characters, I have several pictures which clearly define the horrible work this company did. Cost, on top of the $45,000 (approx) was $2300, and paid to the other contractor. Further, trying to reach an senior executive is impossible.all branches redirect to a sales recording I was finally able to find a VP based in Calgary, through a former employee who due to the frustrations he expediences quit,Bottom line, youll regret ever engaging Ecoline Windows.this a company I would not recommend to my worst enemy. I have spent hours, probably close to 2 years trying to resolve many issues, their *** advised me not to contact their Vice President, as it would just be passed down to him.Final word YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Worse company ever, starting with the fact that the office they list for *** is non existen, there is no Ecoline at the address they list . They never respond to your request, dont honour their mistakes. Bought windows for them and it took them 7 months to come after the date they set for installation. They quoted me wrong information and then wanted me to pay for their mistake , damaged two screens on installation and I have been waiting 6 months to get them replaced , only to have the installers drop off today the wrong size screens .Will never recommend this company to my worst enemy . Dont ever buy windows or door from this company .
Great install of high quality windows. They did four windows in less than four hours, all cleaned and completed.
Ecoline windows *** somehow missed the fact that I am hard of hearing despite telling them that I can't hear well on the phone and to text me instead. They did email me in regards to installation procedures yet they did NOT INFORM me of the exact day either by email or by text. I came home from an errand seeing three men waiting with no warning. If I had known ahead of time, I would have secured my cats properly in a room so they wouldn't interfere with the windows and sliding door installation. It was about the safety of my cats. So yes, one of my cats got hurt and had to go through emergency surgery the same day. I am aware of no proof of how the accident occurred yet at least I want an acknowledgement rather than being ignored. I emailed my concerns and tried to leave a message. No response so far.
from Ecoline was very professional and helpful, provided me with the best service. Hes been very patient with me on finding the best financial plan for my project. Im looking forward to the windows!
The salesperson was great
The salesperson was great. He provided a fantastic experience and was easy to communicate. We ordered a replacement of one window. The installation part was a nightmare. Firstly, the representative called before the installation and told us that we should pay the balance before the installation process. She said that "Some people do not pay the money," so we should make the payment. Then the installers arrived. We paid the outstanding balance IN FULL, and the installation began. The window installers moved the furniture around the house. They neither asked permission nor put it back to the place. They used offensive words when communicated among themselves. They put pieces of old window onto our lawn. They also inserted their brand sign into the grass. The finished window itself was of high quality. However, the window framing was left unpainted with yellow stains and uneven surfaces. They told us that we have to paint it ourselves. It was not very convenient for us, as we did not expect to spend time finishing the window. The worst thing happened later. In two weeks, the representative called and told us that we STILL OWE them $150, and we have to make the payment. She could not explain how it is possible that we paid the invoice in full and still owe them money. I would think twice if I want to order from this company anything else in the future.

Very happy with Ecoline windows from the first day of an estimate to the installation of 21 windows. Quality workmanship by the installation crew. The went above and beyond installing the new windows. We were very happy with the whole process even for a rep. coming out to assist us in the rebate application, which is very complicated. Kudos going out to the entire company.

Our windows have been installed today by *** and his crew. They arrived on time and started the work right away. They were extremely knowledgeable, fast, efficient and did a phenomenal job installing 11 windows at the same day. We will definitely enjoy our new windows with many years to come. Highly recommend Ecoline windows, great quality and competitive price. And we highly recommend *** and his crew to do yours as well.
I had *** and Dima install 6 windows and 2 doors in my home. They were amazing! Everything was done in a day and a half. When they were done we checked everything together and went over details. They even took the time to adjust one of my interior doors that was sticking. I highly recommend this team for your instillation! Thanks guys!
Be careful, they insist you pay in full, up front, I wish we hadnt
Be careful, they insist you pay in full, up front, I wish we hadnt. The windows themselves seem good, will see in winter, however the service after the fact is non existent. In our contract it clearly states our existing blinds were to fit the new windows. Evidently the measuring person made a mistake, (which can happen, we are all human after all), the blinds do not fit. I contacted them regarding this issue on the evening the install occurred. Got a response to send pictures, did so and received no response. Then I called and the customer service person was nice, transferred me to service, spoke with *!$, (this is now 3 weeks later), he looked at the pictures, and read the contract where it says the existing blinds were to fit. Said he had to speak with someone else and would get back to me. This was on May25. I have since sent another email, and tried to call but they say to send an email, so I did again. It is now June 23, over 6 weeks, and not even a call back or any acknowledgement that they are working on my case to make this right. The blinds we have are *** only ~ 3-4 years old, and approximately $7500, we cannot afford to replace them especially after paying in full for the windows. VERY *** customer service, all they seem to want is your money, then they ghost you.. not what I would call good will, or upstanding company backing up their product and people.

Ecoline was extremely professional when at our house to measure the windows that we required to be replaced. They provided helpful suggestions and provided a great estimate of when the window would be in and when installation would take place. The contractors on site to put the window in were early and even though the day was a little chilly (Jan 3/22 in ***) they got it done. The window looks amazing!

I was in the market for new windows and had about 4 quotes to *** over. I ended up going with Ecoline windows because their pricing was by far the best, the sales process was very good, thorough and modern. The installation crew was amazing as well. I have a large puppy who is *** friendly and they were so patient with him, very polite and of course quality workmanship. All around super happy and I have already referred them to a friend.
I have been dealing with Ecoline for a couple of years in changing my windows. I had the two front ones done a few years ago with no problems. This year, I got the rest of the house done. The price was good, the installers were nice and the installation went well. I do not have any problems with these new ones also.I would refer them to anyone.
I would like to take a moment and describe my recent customer service experience with ***
I would like to take a moment and describe my recent customer service experience with ***. Upon requesting a quote for a home project, I was contacted by ***, a Project Manager representing the company. We have scheduled a home visit to discuss the upcoming project. Upon meeting him in person, *** demonstrated an excellent level of customer service that was backed up by his extensive knowledge of the companys products. His adaptability skills to the desired home project, were matched by his patience and availability to the vast number of questions that I had for him, on the spot and after the home visit. It was clearly observed that *** has a genuine desire to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction, as he always focuses on the quality of his services and is presenting the client with the best options to choose from, while ballancing quality and costs associated with the project. He is also well updated with the most current provincial and federal government initiatives, with respect to financial rebates that could be applied to these projects. This is very helpful, as he is able to nicely explain to his customers all the necessary details, so that they can take advantage of these offers. I will without a doubt continue to work with *** and will recommend his services and the company, to family and friends. Thank you *** for all your hard work!

We were very impressed with Ecoline Windows replacement of 7 windows in our home
We were very impressed with Ecoline Windows replacement of 7 windows in our home. On every visit, Ecoline demonstrated punctuality. Our first contact was professional and personable, preparing a detailed spec with cost estimates for each window. We appreciated not being pressured to replace more windows than fit our budget for this year. On subsequent arrivals for measurement verification, and a few months later for installation, Ecoline's crew were precisely on time! The 3-man crew was also polite and efficient from start to finish, immediately laying out floor protection. They were careful both with removal and subsequent replacement of our interior oak facings, as per our wishes to help blend the new windows with our other woodwork. Old windows were efficiently removed, then our lovely new energy-efficient windows were carefully fit, leveled, installed and insulated. The Ecoline teams experience showed in their overall efficiency, completion being well within planned timeframe. Final cleaning took place inside while exterior sealing and yard clean-up wrapped up outside. We were shown how to properly operate window-opening and locking mechanisms, and also the easy screen removal. In summary, we are pleased with the quality of Ecolines windows, their workmanship, plus the general competence and efficiency of their entire staff. We will be contacting Ecoline Windows again to replace our remaining original windows. We heartily recommend them.

We had 3 quotes for our project
We had 3 quotes for our project. The first 2 were friend's' recommendations. The third was a suggestion...Ecoline Windows . The first two companies took measurements and provided quotes. When Vitaly, from Ecoline arrived he insisted we listen to his presentation, examine a product sample, and answer questions. He also requested that both my wife and I be involved in the process. About two hours later, we had decided that Ecoline deserved the job, just on thoroughness and attention to detail. We were quite surprised, also, when the quote came in $2,000.00 less than the first company and $1,5000.00 less than the second. The required downpayment was considerably less.Ecoline and Vitaly kept in contact with us up to the time of installation, helping us with the *** Grant *** and answering questions. *** and crew member arrived on the installation day and proceeded to work 8 hours nonstop, completing 8 windows and front door leaving the patio door for the next day since it alone required 4-5 hours of work. Their attention to detail; chalking, saw cuts, levelling and cleanup went above and beyond. I had requested that they leave some of the old window and door moulding which they did, taking care not to break any, if possible. We were very fortunate to have these two gentlemen as our installers. This was a job experience that left, both my wife and I extremely pleased that we chose Ecoline (***) for our project.
Satisfactory work at best
Satisfactory work at best. Patio door works, but poor caulking job, left site dirty, damaged deck and broken sensor light. The installer did not show pride his work and continued to cut corners with each visit. He strongly encouraged me to leave a review after the install which surprised me because he clearly thought he did a great job, which tells me we clearly have different standards.Install - Very poor caulking job in some areas, was told by the installer it was due to a poor caulking job, instead of fixing the problem he just continue with the work. Garbage was left inside and outside, my deck was chipped, marked up and had caulking over it.Post-Install 1 - the installer came back and attempted to fix the caulking, he told me it is what it is, but after talking to others it seems he just didn't want to redo the work because it would take too much time. He painted the areas of the deck he chipped as well as the caulking, now my deck has blotches (more than just what is shown) from where he painted over the caulking instead of properly cleaning it. Another shortcut by the same installer. After looking everything over I noticed they never sealed the top of the patio frame, he did the sides so I believe he was hoping I wouldn't notice the top wasn't done, another shortcut.Post-Install 2 - I requested the caulking to be redone, seal the top and paint deck. Caulking is slightly better if you really look at it, top is sealed, deck was not painted but I did notice there is paint on my broom and looks like he swept some paint on the deck for some reason but the blotches are still there. My sensor light has been damaged in the process. More cut corners and damages.

This is the first time that I have been asked for the payment before work was started
This is the first time that I have been asked for the payment before work was started. I want you to know that this is the third set of windows that Eco-line has provided for us. In May, our work order totalled *** which was paid by cheque. In August, our work order totalled $6300. We do not have a history of not paying our bills. On March 1, we paid our deposit with a credit card. When the windows arrived for installation in mid-July, the installers could not proceed until we went to our on-line banking account and send the total amount for the windows. We were told that we could not use a credit card, a cheque, or an e-transfer. The doors were sent from Eastern Canada on July 7. I called and e-mailed for 4 days before I could set an installation date for them on August 24. Again, payment had to be made by on-line banking but this time an e-transfer would be okay. The installer had to take a screen shot of the banking information to send to the office before work could be started.I know that many seniors, do not use on-line anything. I think that the company should show some respect for different methods of payment. We are curious about the change in methods of payment. Consumer Affairs recommends that consumers withhold 10% of the total until after the installation to ensure that the work has been completed well.We have been very happy with the installers. In the past, we have referred others to Eco-Line for the replacement of their windows. Because of your billing practices, we will certainly tell them that like us, they may not be trusted. They should have their on-line banking app open so that work can begin. Eco-Line may not be a company of choice.Hoping that the company will look into best practices in the future.
2021 -Ecoline did a fantastic job from day 1 of calling!
2021 -Ecoline did a fantastic job from day 1 of calling! My husband and I have had some rather negative experiences with other window companies, so it was a huge relief working with Ecoline. We easily got in contact with Ecoline to set up a quote, which was done within days of the first call. ***, project manager, came in and seemed to really know his stuff and could answer all our questions. We felt no sales pressure and were given lots of details and shown photos of similar projects before and after. Once we had made a decision on a later day we easily got in contact with *** and everything was set up super fast and without any confusion or hassle. Ecoline has the best guarantees and really seems to stand by what they say they will deliver, and when. They were actually able to install our windows before the date they assured us they would have them in by, which was a big deal for us.Our windows were installed by *** his son *** and ***. *** did a phenomenal job of running his crew and making sure we knew what was going on and that we were happy with how the windows looked every step of the way. He made sure we were comfortable with himself and his workers and was easy to talk to and ask questions. All three seemed to be super hard workers as they finished a big job in one day (8 large windows), which according to the company usually takes two! *** went above and beyond in making our house look pristine after; painting stucco after touching it up, perfecting trimming, and ensuring we were happy with the end result and had no unanswered questions. Highly recommend Ecoline and especially *** and crew for install.Update 2022 -We had Ecoline *** again) install four more windows, finally completing the replacement of all of our windows! They still do a great job! We cannot recommend them enough. If you're having windows replaced get it done right the first time by Ecoline.

1.The installation of the 10 replacement windows provided by Ecoline on November 23 was atrocious
1.The installation of the 10 replacement windows provided by Ecoline on November 23 was atrocious. All but one were reinstalled - although it should have been as well. The window in our den had to be reinstalled twice.2.Window casings, as installed by the installers, had to be removed and reinstalled, at our expense, as they were not installed properly.3.Considerable damage was done to our home during installation from holes punched in the drywall to insulation drips all over our freshly painted walls to a chip out of our mantelpiece.4.At least four of the original windows provided did not meet *** standards.5.Of the six windows that Ecoline ultimately agreed to replace, one didnt arrive at all the first time, one was the wrong size and another the wrong style. Of the three installed, only two met the *** standards. On the second attempt to install the remaining three windows, one arrived broken.6.The last window was finally installed March 23 2022. It has a black spacer. The other nine windows provided by Ecoline have white spacers. However it has been well over a year since the original install and apparently Ecoline no longer makes windows with white spacers. The window also has three scratches. We asked for compensation for installation damage and were refused. We were told that Ecoline does not provide compensation under any circumstances. After this last fiasco, compensation was offered in the amount of $227.24. This doesnt even cover the cost of the materials needed to fix all the damage done during installation let alone pay to replace the window with the black spacer. Exerpt from Ecoline email sent March 30 will transfer the whole amount to a collection agency, which will affect your credit score greatly. In the next step Ecoline Windows is going to file a court claim for the full amount, including the overall compounded interest, applicable fees, and your outstanding balance without compensation.Buyer beware.

My experience with Eco-Line was poor from day 1
My experience with Eco-Line was poor from day 1. The salesperson had no interest in providing me with information about what options I wanted. Instead when I told him what I needed he just said "yea yea I have done this and know what you need." He was only interested in getting me to sign the contract. It took almost 3 months to get the window in *** and installed. During this time there were no updates from the company. Once it was to be installed the crew that showed up to do the installation was less than ***. This was a large picture window that must have weighed 600 lbs + and 4 guys were carrying it out of the trailer. They dropped it, of course not once but 2 times. They broke one of the panes in the window and damaged my stucco on the front of my home. When they finally did get the frame and window panes in, I asked what was next and how the window would get repaired. The crew did not communicate *** very well so the installer said *** "call the office". I asked them how payment would be handled, "Do I make it through the office or will they *** me?" Again all he said was "call the office". So within 30 minutes of this crew leaving I called the Eco-line *** office. The gentleman who I spoke with on the phone asked me if pictures had been taken and if I had paid. I told him I did not think any picture were taken and that I was told to call the office. At this time I was told he would send a lead installer back to take the pictures. When the lead installer arrived he came across my neighbour's yard yelling at me, asking "Why you don't pay? Why you don't pay?" I felt intimidated and a little afraid what would happen so ended up paying in full right there. Another 2 months passed with no sign of a new window pane and if I had not kept calling I don't think it would have been a priority. Finally it arrived and the broken window was removed, wouldn't you know these in*** installers measured the window wrong and this new window was too small. I don't know why the manufacturer didn't still have the original measurements from when they built the whole window. This time the small window had to stay in and they filled the ends up with spray foam as a temporary seal from the weather. This window was ordered in April and we are now in September. Another fellow was sent out again with some cardboard to make a template of the opening. When the correct window did finally arrive it was cold and snowing. I had already installed custom blinds which the installer kept grabbing a hold of and they are now loose and hang crooked. I have pictures and video of all the things that happened on these installs. In total I had to take 5 days off of work to wait for the crews to arrive and then do the work. I went for almost 6 months with no blinds or window coverings. I was intimidated and insulted by the installers. I will give credit to Yanina, who did what she could to get results and gave me information when I called her. I felt that there should be some level of compensation for all of the mistakes and poor service. The first time I spoke to *** she said "$550 was asked for". I had not ever asked for an amount just compensation. I countered and said I should be compensated better. I paid over $5500 for this window and I would expect better in return. She took my counter request and said she would call me back. When she called she said I was "looking to get $1500", which again I never said a number but felt this would be fair compensation. She said all she could get approval for was $150 *** I refused the amount and asked *** to try again that this was insulting. Well as you can see I am writing this review to warn everyone that this is not a professional nor *** company. Please do yourselves a favour if looking for new or replacement windows and go somewhere else.

Ecoline has been absolutely terrible to work with
Ecoline has been absolutely terrible to work with. Their level of customer service is atrocious. On July 13th I was scheduled for a window install and informed that the installers will arrive between 1:00pm and 3:00pm. I waited around for installers and by 4:00pm nobody had shown up and nobody communicated with me to let me know if they would be late or even still showing up at all. This is completely unacceptable to neglect to communicate with a customer especially after I paid in full as per the policy prior to anyone showing up. I had every right to have the fear that they had taken my money and ran at this point. At 4:00pm on the 13th I contacted their office to ask if anyone was still planning to show up to complete the window install because they failed to provide any sort of *** customer service and communicate with me. When nobody shows up for an hour after the scheduled time it is fair to assume that nobody is coming. I don't mind if there is a delay but I do expect someone to let me know that there will be a delay. The lady on the phone said she would get in touch with the installers and call me back. She did, and she informed me that they were held up at another job but that they would be here in a few hours. I understand that things can happen that cause delays and had someone contacted me to simply let me know I wouldn't be so disgruntled but to make NO EFFORT to let me know that they would be late is outright HORRIBLE customer service. It's completely inappropriate for a business who has been paid in full to neglect to provide their customers with information. When the lady on the phone told me it would still be a few hours I asked what a few hours meant because at this point it was already 4:30PM which is the end of a typical workday. She mentioned they would be here between 6:00pm and 7:00pm. To start a job at 7:00pm is ridiculous to me. *** I waited around and 6:00pm past, then 7:00pm past. I was so disgusted by the service at this point I was ready to call and cancel my installation completely and just ask for my money back. FINALLY at 7:30PM a crew showed up at my house. 7:30PM is too late to be starting a job, even if it was just one window. At this point, people are getting ready to turn in for the night. After the crew replaced the window they asked if the office had contacted me about the exterior cladding yet. Unfortunately I had to tell them "no" because nobody had. They then told me that they can't finish the job tonight because they don't have the equipment to finish the exterior and that the office should have contacted me to work it out because they know this crew is not equipped to do it. By July 15th nobody had contacted me about finishing the job so I reached out to express my concerns. They said they would show up July 15th between 7 and 9am to finish the job. I waited and waited and again nobody showed up and nobody contacted me to let me know that they wouldn't be showing up so more of my time was wasted. Another date was scheduled to complete the install July 19 between 7 and 9am and AGAIN nobody showed up and nobody contacted me to let me know they wouldn't be. To expect a customer to wait around for hours, on three separate occasions for complete no-shows and have nobody contact us is the poorest customer service I've ever received. It's been nearly a week where the exterior of my window and wood from the frame has been exposed to the elements due to an unfinished job and multiple no-shows. They have once again said they will come another day to finish it but this is the fourth time I am expected to wait around and given the experience thus far I won't be surprised if it's another no-show and no communication. I am truly disgusted by the level of service and *** disregard for the value of people's time. To show up hours late to a job without letting me know and then to not show up at all two more times and leave it unfinished for days is unacceptable. I've contacted Ecoline numerous times regarding the no-shows and my displeasure and they have not addressed my concerns, simply just keep rescheduling and then not showing up. Please don't waste your money with this company.
Ecoline Windows Calgary Complaints 16
In early August one of our sliding windows completely fell out without being touched
In early August one of our sliding windows completely fell out without being touched. All the windows in our home are less than 5 years old and were installed by Ecoline. I have tried repeatedly to get help from Ecoline to repair the window. I was told they no longer use that particular brand so I would need to contact the manufacturer directly to get parts, but the manufacturer is in *** and will not ship directly to me. I eventually found a way to get the parts, and paid Ecoline a service fee to have them come out and inspect/attempt to repair the window but they were unable to do much. Their service tech told me the window is damaged from falling out and likely unrepairable, which appears to be caused by poor installation (there are 2 other windows in the house with installation issues). I had another window company come and look and they agreed it looks like poor installation and will likely have to be completely replaced.I have phoned Ecoline almost weekly for months now (it is December) to get some help, and they will not respond or assist me. Their website clearly states that they warranty labour and their windows (https://www.ecolinewindows.ca/warranty/), but they are refusing to deal with my issue. I just want a working window.

We had our windows replaced by Ecoline Windows and Doors Calgary. After our windows were replaced we had our blind installers come to install the blinds and it was determined that the front window was bowed in a number of places. We contacted Ecoline and they had repair people come out, they drilled some holes in the casing of the window but we're unable to fix the problem. We contacted them again and twice they sent out individuals who advised there was nothing they could do. We are getting the run around and they're saying now there's no possible way for them to do anything until April next year because of the weather. Yet the problem is with the interior of the windows, not the exterior. It is difficult to get their service department to get them to call us back. They hang up on us when we call and we have to use other people's cell phones with unrecognizable numbers for them to answer our calls.
Weeks have turned into months and still no answers. Over and over my replies are met with your Items are in back order and we had to lose contractors and planned Renos all because Ecoline Windows promised they would be installing in April and now its almost July1st. My family is beyond mad and we are paying for storage units that are now holding our hardwood flooring and carpet that was supposed to be installed after the windows and doors. We have three sliders and one front door with window attached. Im sad about this, and on the phone when I asked months ago, Will it be delayed months and months? He said, Definitely not, more like a couple weeks. Now I realized he was lying and I feel really stupid. We paid well over *** deposit, and now the price for storage.
Ecoline sold and installed new windows for me in my house in June . The warranty of 25 years on the windows that they offered formed part of my decision to buy from them as opposed to other companies. In May 2022 I discovered that one of the custom windows they manufactured and installed has a crack that started in the top left side.I informed them and request a replacement or repair under warranty. They informed me that Ecoline's warranty was updated after my contract and now excluded crack later than a year from installation and I have to pay for a new window of $775 +GST +They admit that the exclusion clause was introduced to their warranties after my contract was signed in 2015.A few e-mail interactions with their services department did not resolve the situation - (see uploaded documents),On 13 July I called Ecoline and spoke with the acting services manager ***, who confirmed to me on phone call that Ecoline management will not honor the warranty on my contract.Based on legal advice I got, my understanding is that a warranty is part of a contract and cannot be changed unilaterally.I don't feel it is right that I have to pay for a defect that is covered by the warranty I purchased - please help / advise.
Ecoline Windows installed 9 windows and 2 doors for me in April
Ecoline Windows installed 9 windows and 2 doors for me in April. 3 of them are open in the wrong direction. One of them is not openable. I have talked to them with emails and phone calls to raise the issues many times, but the service team refused to fix the issues. The salesman, ***, came to my house at the beginning. He designed all the windows in the same direction. I questioned him about this, but he said there is no problem. He said the company will give us 25 years warranty. If anything is wrong, they will replace it with new windows. With this promise, I accepted the company as the contractor. However, I found the windows are installed in the wrong direction when it is installed and ask them to fix the issues, they said they can only fix the window, which is not openable. They will not fix other two windows. If I don't accept this proposal, they will not do anything for me.Their logic is that they followed the contract. The fact is that I have no idea about the window technical function and open mechanism as a consumer. The contract only means that I accept the contractor's price and warranty. The company shall be responsible for the function of the window.I hope Complaintsboard.com can help me asking this company to be responsible and fix the issues they created. Thanks!

Had a consult and agreement in August to purchase and install three windows from Ecoline with estimated install November/December . Production delays install scheduled for January 2022. Installers showed up with only two windows. Ecoline said the *** is missing and may be lost in a warehouse. They lost the window and put it back into production queue. Presently we still do not have the *** installed and Ecoline has no ETA for completion. Over the last four months we get the same message with no ETA. We asked for a refund and they refused. We were required to pay for all windows upfront on the day of install in January 2022. Windows are paid in full and we are no closer to getting the *** installed. The messaging from multiple emaiks and phone calls with Ecoline line is be patient and well get back to you. We just want this to be resolved with a refund of the *** and looking for assistance to resolve this and hopefully no one else goes through this
We have a contract with Ecoline Windows for the installation of several windows, sliding glass doors and a main entry door
We have a contract with Ecoline Windows for the installation of several windows, sliding glass doors and a main entry door. The total value of the contract is $44400. There are two issues that have risen. First, the *** Act requires that we retain 10% of the contract until the work is completed, then released after it is verified that their are no liens. Ecoline insists on all funds upfront before completing the work. When I made it clear I was not prepared to do that, they agreed to us withholding 10% until the work was complete. The work is not complete and they are now insisting on the remaining 10% before they finish the work. As I agreed and as the *** Act requires, the balance of funds will be forwarded once the work is complete. The second issue is that they cancelled the initial instillation date at the last moment, after I had already arranged to have the day off work to be at home when the installers arrived. *** While we accept accidents happen, we do not accept that the impact of that mistake falls on us ***. I needed to take an additional day off to be here when the installers were working.

We purchased four Ecoline Windows to replace our basement windows that were original to the house
We purchased four Ecoline Windows to replace our basement windows that were original to the house. Work Order Number: 0-*** Windows were installed February 19.We did not see any immediate issues with the windows upon installation, however, in the first few weeks following, we noticed a significant draft. Examining closely, there are visible open spaces in the bottom corners of each of the windows (two in each window) visible in the photos. Wind can be felt on cold days and the windows ice up. We first contacted Ecoline within weeks of installation and they responded on March 23 saying they would replace the weather stripping on the windows. By the time they came out, the winter weather was gone and they said there was nothing wrong. We continued to follow up, multiple times, and they came out again this winter (a year after installation). They tried weather stripping on one of the four windows, which did nothing, and they again said there is nothing they can do. We have sent photos of the windows with the openings clearly visible and the ice all around the windows. On March 23, 2022 we received an email saying: "We have come to the conclusion that there is nothing that can be done. Everything is fine with the windows and the installation." Obviously this is not resolved and we would like the windows repaired or replaced. Photos attached.

September we hired Ecoline to replace 9 windows in our home. February the windows arrived and were installed, however the master bedroom window was incorrect and could not be done. We were told they would order a replacement and we paid the *** in full. Over the past 9 months Ecoline has contacted us 4 separate times to say the window has arrived and each time either they sent another incorrect window or they cancelled the install appointment, on the day it was scheduled to be completed, saying the window was once again incorrect and had to be reordered. This last time, November , they called ahead to promise us that the window had arrived and been checked, it 100% was ready to go. Today, install day, they called us 2 hours after they were to arrive to tell us that once again the window was wrong and they couldnt install. As always it was someone from customer service who had no other information and we need to wait for someone in Management to get back to us. Again, the initial issue was February , this is the 4th time over 9 months. The invoice has already been paid, they do not seem concerned.
10 windows installed end of August
10 windows installed end of August. Service out to look at installation issue as recommended by Project Manager. September 4 Service person noted on his report that he fixed as he could and to be fixed properly, window should be reinstalled. I asked about the slight curve at the top of the large kitchen window and he recommended I have someone inspect the installation as there is "wave" happening around the casing on more than one window. September 5, emailed Project Manager to request a call to resolve this issue. September 6, Project Manager emails to say he will have someone contact me. September 8, email came to confirm closure of service issue. I call to say that it had not been resolved and to please have someone call to book an inspection. No call or contact. September 22 I emailed to request a call. September 23, I called and the person I needed to speak to was "Not available" per receptionist. Left message with receptionist to have a call back. September 24, called at 9:30am and was on hold and then voicemail came on to leave a message. Left a message. Called again at 5:13 pm. Same hold message and voicemail. Did not leave a message. I have no idea what is going on, what can be fixed, if the installation issue is serious and will affect the life of the windows. Also, because windows were installed by professionals, I do expect the installation to look professional.

On July 27, I entered into a contract with ecoline windows to replace my bathroom window and put in a new window in my dining room
On July 27, I entered into a contract with ecoline windows to replace my bathroom window and put in a new window in my dining room. On January 14, 2022, the company came to install my windows and did not complete the interior work in compliance with a building permit requirement that needed the city inspector to see the structural work before closing the walls. City inspector found that vapour barrier is not to code. Also, the manner in which vapour barrier was installed was not to acceptable as a continuous seal had not been made by the contractor. Upon examining the installation the next day (with daylight), I was shocked to see the quality of work that had been done. The j strips of the bathroom window were very mangled, with the top piece completely missing, thereby not keeping out moisture. The living room windows had j strips not cut properly to size and big gobs of caulking to fill large 3/4 gaps. The *** at the top does not span the length of the window. As a result, I called the *** to complain. He assured me that the job is not complete. As far as I know, the company is only returning to complete the interior of the home (drywall). The outside is a mess. I stopped payment on my cheque as the company requires full payment before doing the work. Now they refuse to complete the work. I do not have any issue with payment, but I need to see that the job is done with some workmanship. I want them to finish the job properly, make fixes to the original work. I will pay when job is complete.

Unfinished work and constantly getting hung up on
Unfinished work and constantly getting hung up on. (This is for the *** store)I ordered my windows in July this year. I was verbally told my windows would be installed end of October to early November. I was ok with that, I gave my deposit and signed the contract. I waited around until October, heard nothing, so I contacted the phone number for serving ***/*** area. I was told it would be end of November to beginning of December. It was a few extra weeks, but whatever. I got my phone call towards the end of November and got a date for installation for November 30 to December 1. They came and installed most of the windows. The incompleted work was to seal the outside of the windows, and the large bay window out front. The workers said it was too cold to install that window, so told me to call the office to rebook on a nicer day. So I looked at the forecast and called later that afternoon, after the workers left for the day. I said the following Sunday was looking nice and asked if they can be available for then. I was told that they don't work weekends, and to wait another time. I waited the weekend and saw the forecast looked nice on Thursday and Friday, so I called on a Monday to see if we can book in that time. The lady on the phone said she would contact the workers and get back to me. She never did. I tried calling again the next day, five times, and each time when it came to my turn in the cue, they hung up on me. They had been screening my phone calls and will not answer my calls. Now I have unfinished work and it is delaying me in my own life, because I plan on listing my home and move to somewhere that has far better service for my *** son. I just want it done already!

Sadly, we have had numerous issues with Ecoline
Sadly, we have had numerous issues with Ecoline. This is focusing on the last issue that needs to be resolved. Ecoline installed a new window in our back wall. It was not a replacement. See *** pictures. The installer knew the window would be close to the light. He talked to my wife about it. My wife said just as long is it does not interfere with the light. In other words, move it to the one side so it does not interfere with the light. this was not done. In the *** pictures under "ecoline issue pic 2" you can see how they dealt with the light during install. They actually notched the trim to make a space for the light base. That does not look professional. I complained and they came back to fix the issue. what did they do to fix it? They bought longer light mounting studs for the powerbox and then re*** the light to the box at a bit of an angle just to get it out of the way of the trim. This is unacceptable. So, what happens if I need to (and I will be) change that light and the light base is different? Am I now expected to "notch" the new trim to make the new light fit? or am I stuck with this light for life because of this window? All I asked was to have the light moved. I was told in the latest *** email "Unfortunately Ecoline is not responsible for moving electrical wires and can not do this." They are the ones who made the error so they need to correct it. I asked Ecoline to have an electrician to come out and move it. it is mounted on the outside of the wall and the siding/Styrofoam insulation was put around it. This is not a big job. Even if it was, I am not sure how this error would be the responsibility of the homeowner. This needs to be corrected or I will persue this matter further.

We think Ecoline Windows has misrepresented to us from the outset, their ability and expertise in being able to install this product
We think Ecoline Windows has misrepresented to us from the outset, their ability and expertise in being able to install this product. We hired them to install new double entry doors as well as a new double retractable screen door. The installation was scheduled for Jan 19, 2021 at which time they installed the doors but were: unable to finish the outside of the doors, they could not install the screen door at all, stating that it had been made the incorrect size, and we expressed concerns regarding the quality of the finishing on the window casings in the doors. Ecoline returned to our home on Feb 12 with the promise of mitigating all 3 concerns. No concerns were addressed during this visit. the explanation given was that the outside pieces were the wrong size, the screen was the wrong size and the screw plugs the wrong color. Ecoline returned a third time on Mar 1. This time they finished the outside of the door, told us they weren't addressing our concerns about the window casing plugs and inadequately installed the screen door. It was brought to their attention before they left that the screen was coming out of the frame, hanging loose with holes at the top. The installer took pictures and commented that he didn't know why it was doing that. A 4th appointment was booked -- informing us that the screen door producer would video call in with the installer to walk them through how to fix the issues. We have lost confidence in their knowledge and ability to adequately complete this work. They have not delivered and installed the product within the 30days stipulated in the contract and we want to cancel our contract and receive a refund for the screen portion. We informed them of this on 03/08. Ecoline has declined our request. Additionally, our contract is not itemized and Ecoline will not tell us the value of the screen installation.

Ordered 14 windows May 18; paid deposit at time of order and then balance due before installation Paid balance Sept 16/17th Thirteen
Ordered 14 windows May 18; paid deposit at time of order and then balance due before installation Paid balance Sept 16/17th Thirteen Windows installed Sept 20/21st. There have been a number of issues with the install, but these are the ones still outstanding:i) They damaged the parging around all 4 basement windows. Their repair attempt was sub-par. I had to bring in a parging company to seal the windows to prevent damage through the winter. I will need to bring the parging company back in the spring to fix the parging. I have told them about this and they haven't even acknowledged the complaint.ii) Two basement windows were installed without flashing. When I pointed this out, I was told that they weren't required to install flashing on new windows if the old ones didn't have it. Odd response from them. Generally speaking, you should do the install correctly. Windows need flashing or rain/moisture runs in and damages the window and the surrounding structure.iii) Four of the new windows upstairs have moisture accumulation. They told me to 'turn down my humidifier'. This is not the issue and I let them know that we don't have a humidifier on our furnaces and further, the other windows do not have moisture accumulation. It's an issue with the installation of these particular windows.A guy was sent out for a service call on Oct 26th. He turned up and did absolutely nothing.Asked for a different guy to be sent out. New guy turns up on Nov 2nd. He's the one suggesting the moisture accumulation in normal and that they are not responsible for installing flashing on the basement windows.A guy in their service department left a message last week, week of Nov 1st. I have called him three times since and it appears I'm being put on ignore. Here's what I'm looking for: 1) Reimbursement for parging costs (current and those expected in the spring); 2) Leaking windows fixed and 3) Flashing installed on the basement windows.

I do not know where Ecoline production or accounts office is as I deal with them through emails
I do not know where Ecoline production or accounts office is as I deal with them through emails.I contacted them from online ad and a sales rep came to my house in Edm. Original contract Oct 19 2021 for custom blinds and installation *** & I made *** deposit.Changed contract to remove installation Dec 8: Blinds ***. Balance *** paid on pickup Called cust serv to pick up blinds at Edm showroom Dec 20. No one was in showroom so I went to the back where the warehouse is. There the employee took my paperwork and cheque for balance. I watched him retrieve my blinds in the WAREHOUSE where they were propped upright against a pillar. Then he moved to wall by his desk where they slid twice once hitting a metal box on the desk, then claimed he had to call to check my payment About 20 min later he ushered me out of the warehouse and into the showroom. A few minutes later he brought blinds out, had me sign a paper I received and carried and placed blinds in my vehicle. When I got home opened the blinds from the BOTTOM, discovered no cardboard protection...only the thin plastic bag and some thin bubble wrap. The PLASTIC CASEMENT for the blinds was dented in approx middle & directly behind the dent was a slit in the blinds.Contacted Ecoline via email and received the following replies:1. This has never happened before and therefore very unlikely Blinds are wrapped, protected and sealed off from warehouse 2. likely we slit the blinds "if the plastic part was damaged with blinds were dropped there would be zero questions asked" Blinds can be replaced for *** (plastic part was dented in middle of blind...we opened from bottom not )I witnessed blinds stored in warehouse and CARELESSLY handled. I do not know if perhaps the blinds were slit in their production or shipping process. The plastic casement was dented. They were not wrapped well. I feel like Ecoline has taken my money, provided a damaged product & does not believe me.

I ordered a patio door and financed through ***
I ordered a patio door and financed through ***. The door finally came and was installed January 25. I went to look at door installation and noticed that the bottom kick lock wasn't working and that they had reused my old trim and didn't fit so there was unpainted drywall showing around door on inside.I emailed Ecoline and also spoke with the sales man, who assured me that the service department would follow up and fix the problems. On Jan 23rd the service men came to the house, my one tenant let them . Once they had completed the service men asked my tenant to sign off on an agreement saying work was satisfactory and asked her to etransfer the money for the door. My tenant called me and I said no, I have too see the work and sign the form since it is my house. I just had foot surgery and couldn't get over to the house to look at door and sign form. I then received a call from Ecoline windows saying I needed to sign the form. I told them I just had surgery and can't drive that I could go look at house Feb 2 and sign the form. He said he a note was put on my file. Then I received another call from a woman asking if I could sign the form and send an etransfer to ecoline. I told her I had just spoken to another pain and then explained that I couldn't drive to go see the door or sign form. When I get over to the house Feb 2nd to look at door I would then send the form. And as for an etransfer I told her I was set to make payments. The woman said not a problem and emailed the form. Not 5 minutes later I got a call from a *** from Ecoline. He started accusing me of refusing to pay for the door. Which is false. I explained my foot surgery & inability to get to my house to look at the door. *** kept telling me to just sign off on it and send an etransfer. Which I said no I want to see the repairs and I am making payments to *** who will pay Ecoline. He then *** to put a lean on my house. He was pushy and ***.

To start, I am getting no customer service from this organization
To start, I am getting no customer service from this organization. On September 17, I contacted the business through the service request form which, after submission, promises a very quick response to this issue. Ideally, a service request would provide an associated ticket number. In this case, it does not, and it is quite obvious, the organization receives "service requests" by email which they can choose to reply to or not. It is now September 29th and I have had no reply to the service request. This was followed up with a phone call the next day to "***" who advised that I would receive a follow up from the salesman within a couple of days. It is now September 29th and after twice communicated to get a basic level of customer service, I have had no response and do not want to have to continually chase to get a basic level of service. Now, the issue. Approximately 2-3 years ago we had Ecoline windows installed throughout our entire house. Although late in the day and after living with paper blinds to lone time it has come to my attention that one of my arched windows and a partially arched window do not have headers while the original wood windows had. Being that I now intend finally to put blinds on these particular windows and due to the size of the windows I have been advised that headers may be required. That being said, it obviously did not occur to me that the windows in question could require headers at the time of installation, why would it. In consideration and fairness as it relates to the above comments, it is my understanding that arched windows sometimes do not have these headers installed (although my original ones did). As well as the fact it has been 2/3 years since installation I am not necessarily going to call this a warranty issue. My phone call with "***" immediately sluffed off, and to paraphrase, that "you signed off on the installation at the time", but promised to forward my issue to the salesman after coaxing. I had no reply.

On April 1 we signed the contract on and put down a deposit of $***.On June 10 we got out windows installed. On June 10 we made the final payment of $***.During installation and after we noticed some issues, which I emailed Ecoline about right away. These issues are as follows:Upstairs bathroom window was ordered incorrectly - Ecoline ordered a clear window instead a frosted glass (Silvet Frosting)Main Master Bedroom Window Handle: The handle doesn't close properly. The installers noticed it and we need a replacement. We did have a service member come out on June 15 to replace or fix it and we were told "this is just how it is" which is not the case as the left side window handle closes properly. It has been left as it and we've been dealing with it as it.Locks: Two of our windows have the lock position going up, whereas the rest of the windows have the lock position going down. I was finally able to discuss this with a service member saying these two windows need to have the lock position going down and I was told "Unfortunately that's how the windows come but that's a great idea to make sure they lock in the correct position, I will let the correct people know about this idea so maybe they can do this going forward." I am NOT happy with this answer and, again, would like to have these two windows lock the same way the rest of the windows lock.Windows Installed in the Incorrect Hole: Our two spare bedrooms upstairs have the wrong window in the wrong hole; meaning I am unhappy with which way the windows open in those rooms. The other windows in the incorrect hole is our basement windows. We were lucky to catch this while they were installing but I am VERY unhappy to not have been asked about this before they installed. If I ordered these windows a certain way then I expect them to be put in a certain way. I should be asked or there should be better instructions for your installation team with what was discussed in the sales.

We had Ecoline windows come in and replace all of the windows in our house. They were super professional and we love the work they did. The windows look fabulous and we are looking forward to all of the money they will save us with heat costs in the winter and cooling costs in the summer. Thank you Ecoline for taking such good care of our house.
Had Nick and his crew out to install our windows and they were great! On time, Professional, Polite, Cleaned everything up, and inspected and showed everything to us, explained everything we needed to know about the product and their work. Would definitely recommend them to anyone needing windows and doors,
Ecoline Windows look great and was easy! The quote was thorough and accurate. The installation was quick and clean. The windows look bigger (they are not) and are easy to open and close.
We replaced all our windows (12) and patio doors. The team is very professional and the product is high quality. Special thank you to Vitalii (Project Manager), who was knowledgeable and helpful, and the staff and the installation team did a great job.
Best regards
Professional quick installation, very good quality windows. After replacing the old windows with EcoLine windows, energy efficiency of the house increased significantly. We're very happy with the quality of the windows and the quality of installation.
The install was quick and they helped point us in the right direction for filing a greener homes grant. The cost came in lower than we anticipated and we were very happy with the end result.
The installation process was decently smooth and organized. The contractors who arrived made good progress on the windows but did chip off some paint on two of the installations. Overall a good service despite the paint.
We purchased a house and replaced some of the windows. Ecoline Windows in Saskatoon was terrific. Ecoline Windows look great and getting them was easy! The quote was thorough and accurate. The installation was quick and clean. The windows look bigger (they are not) and are easy to open and close.
