bad service
My husband and i purchased a front loader washer 13 months ago and have had nothing but problems with it A&E has been out to fix it 2 times. Now the gasket around the drum is cracked and leaking water onto the electric componets. We called Maytag they say to called A&E because they were here in October 2012 it may still be covered we did and were told its out of warranty.
You will have to pay $129.00 for the service call not including the parts to fix it. They should fix it for free a washer 13 months old shouldnt be falling apart. We called Maytag back and they cant help us. So NEVER EVER! again will we buy a Maytag product. The products and service SUCK!
were are very unhappy these HE products were suppose to be so much better.
Yeah right NOT!DO NOT buy anything from Maytag!

poor service or no service
I bought this dishwasher (MDB7749AWW) on July 27, 2011. The sensor board went out July 2012 and was told to call A & E Factory Service (Farmer Branch Service Ctr., 2270 Valley View Ln. Dallas, TX 75234, [protected]) to repair (don’t listen to Home Depot), A&E told me that they could offer me a extended warranty on the dishwasher and was with Maytag and wasn’t a third party repair service (learned lesson). Well the sensor board went out again in December 8, 2012 and I couldn’t get a repair person out to repair until December 13th. The repairman came out at the end of 5 hr wait and told me he didn’t have the part on the truck and would have to order it and schedule for the part to be delivered the day before December 21 and repair it between 1- 5 pm on the 21st. He was a no show [protected]). Called and the operator told me it was schedule for the 24th between 8am.-12pm, which I never agreed on. Now they can’t come out until the 29th 1-5pm. Were does it end? to be continued...

Hi, MWburns.
My name is Nicki & I'm on the Home Depot's Social Media Team.
I hate to hear about the repair company not showing up & the appointment being set on a different day than you were advised, but I'd like to help if you still need it. Please feel free to email me at TeamSocial@homedepot.com with the HD location you purchased the washer from and the full name/phone/address on the order.
Thank you in advance, Nicki
I'm sorry but you may be a little misinformed. 2 weeks for a dishwasher is not uncommon, especially if part is a circuit board or other non-unique part. Dishwasher, as compared to a fridge that doesn't cool or a defective HVAC unit, is not critical. Do dishes? Also, Home Depot service may in fact use A&E under warranty or under their extended service. A&E is a Sears owned compony/franchise that does authorized work for most manufacturers. Whatever they are selling you IS the same as a third party service plan. None of these plans you wish to pay for have anything in the terms and conditions concerning fast, convenient or even quality service. Good luck. Also, your "Maytag" is under the Whirlpool umbrella and certainly NOT manufactured to the higher specs as when it was a top quality company itself.
extended warranty
I purchased an extended warranty from Future Shop for my refrigerator to protect myself.
My refrigerator broke down 5 weeks ago, and it is still not repaired! I called them after I made contact with the first service provider and told them I was getting no where with these people and could they intervene on my behalf...they just kept reading the warranty to me which states they have 60 days to fix my refrigerator...really try and live without a referigerator for 2 days and tell me how that works! Maytag did call me and apologized about the horrible service I received from the first service providers and called someone else in...but I lost a week because the idiots at customer service at Future Shop refused to listen to me.
Really 5 weeks later and I still don't have a referigerator. If I didn't have the warranty, yes I would have lost maybe $300.00 (let's say new refrigerator cost me $800, minus $200 I paid for warranty $600.00, and let's say I have spent an average of $20 a day to buy fast foods etc. for the past 5 weeks =$700.00)...hmmm I think I would have saved myself $100 and a lot of headaches! And most importantly I would have a refrigerator today!
I WILL NEVER, NEVER, NEVER BUY ANYTHING AGAIN FROM FUTURE SHOP AND I HIGHLY SUGGEST YOU DO THE SAME...
Anne

flashing and clicking panel
I, too, have had major problems with this Maytag refrigerator! We have experienced everything from a malfunctioning ice maker, flashing control panel, overloaded compressor, erratic freezer (freezes much of the fridge contents), and doors not staying closed/inadvertently popping open. We have owned this fridge since 2007 and have repaired the ice maker and the freezing problems on our own dime. When the clicking sound woke the entire house up at 5 am, I finally decided to post! I realize that appliances are not perfect, and that Maytag had the best of intentions when designing and producing this product, but what really infuriates me is that Maytag has known about this wide-spread inherent problem since late 2006! Why no recall? Why no notice? Why no assistance? When I called the customer service line this morning, the representative acted like she'd never even heard of this fridge having problems-- yeah, right...all you have to do is Google the model number or just "Maytag fridge panel flashing and clicking problem" to discover thousands of similar complaints. I do not fault Maytag for manufacturing a "less than perfect" appliance, but I do hold them accountable for adequately repairing/replacing such a rampant and unsafe (compressor overload) product! Maybe, like the woman from Massachusetts suggested, it is time for a class action. Something needs to be done to protect the consumer from a company that is so slow to correct a long-standing and potentially dangerous problem!

bad customer service/ not willing to help
Had washer only for 3 years and got a error message for f1 which in the catalog said call for service called maytag who reported appliance doctor to be their authorized repair place.the gentleman without even takiong a part of said that he had several calls about it and it was in the control board & that I should call maytag [protected] and the lady that anwsers the phone tells me about a $ 315 repair plus program that i thought was high already seeing i just spent 100 for there service provider to come out and know she's telling me i am not eligble because i called them...what! where do you think I GOT THE NUMBER! Then I ask for the manager then she puts on a supervisor who proceeds to be condesending to me like she just spent her 700 plus dollars for a machine that stopped working ...when I could not take the disrespect anymore i asked for corprate number or email she refused to give me anything saying the buck stopped with her and when i asked does she have a boss her response was everybody does! unbelievable. I will take my hard earned money a buy a new washer BUT IT WILL NEVER BE MAYTAG AGAIN..., ...i wIll get some correspondence to corporate and voice my complaint about how I was treated..

centennial washer
After owning only maytag washers for over 25 years, i insisted on another maytag when we shopped for a new washer in april 2011. Big mistake! We purchased a maytag centennial washer at that time and it's been a terrible washer! A number of clothes have come out of it with what looks like grease spots that weren't there when they went in the wash. Even after repeat washings, the spots stay. We had a repairman come out while it was still in warranty (1 year) for that & other problems & he replaced the nuts on the shaft due to extreme vibration and metallic noise (Metal on metal rubbing). He basically had to glue them using lock tite because he said that otherwise it ends up happening over and over. Regarding the spots, he said that they, might be from detergent not rinsing out properly and leaving spots. He recommended using the bulky cycle to get more water in the tub, which we have done for months now. Still the spots appear. I am afraid of ruining more clothes every time i wash them. All of the faith i had in the maytag brand for more than two decades has been totally destroyed in 1 year with the centennial washer. They used to be the best. No more! I cannot wait to replace this thing so that i don't have to be afraid to wash my clothes anymore. Maytag really should recall all of these washers and refund the purchase price as a demonstration of goodwill at which time we might consider replacing it with another maytag.
I have one also and I hate it. I am having about the same trouble. Liquid laundry detergent is left on my clothes whether I put in a small load or a medium size load. I know how you feel. Thanks for taking the time to let others know about this terrible washer.
series 3000 washer
My series 3000 washer is a bit over 2 yrs old ( March 2010) and it died Sunday. The control panel won't light up so I assume its one of the 2 control boards. When I bought the machine, at Lowe's, I had some sort of coupon for free delivery so I purchased the extended warranty with that money 'saved' (the first time in my life!) But I had heard some scarey stories about these front loaders so now I guess the extended warranty was a good idea and in my warped logic it didn't cost me anything because I had the delivery coupon. The machine I have is used for maybe 5-6 loads per week at most ( two people)
Anyway, I had some 'great' conversations with Lowes' manager: he told me the service contract was not theirs, but a third party so Lowe's had no control over the third party policies. When I told him I paid LOWES the money for the contract he really could not explain how it was not their issue but it wasn't. I wanted him to assure me the repair guys would have the possible bad/replacement parts when they showed up to prevent a come back call. He said he had no control over that.
The control module/processor on these things can't cost more than a few bucks to manufacture. Obviously there is design cost etc, but I would imagine the actual cost to manufacture one is likely less than $10. A good on line cost is $250. I would assume Maytag/Whirlpool is making some good money on the replacement of these items and lots of extended warranty firms are cleaning up doing the replacement. I believe the retail (that you would be charged) is anywhere from $350 to 300 for the main processor and then the $100-150 service call fee.
So, after arranging with the service company for a visit (3 day wait) they pretty much assured me they won't be fixing the machine when they show up because they are not allowed to bring parts even though it seems like a choice of only 2 or 3 things that could be bad. The phone person said she had no idea how long the replacement parts would take once they are ordered.
The Lowe's manager did say I could have a loaner machine while mine was broken so I guess that will be interesting to see how that works out. I do laugh though because if they just fixed the damn machine it would save money and lots of aggravation for every one.
I guess the moral of the story is Maytag is not too reliable, they don't seem to want to admit they made a lemon, Lowe's is just like everyone else in backing away from problems and providing real first rate customer service. I really do wish that every customer would demand great service from all suppliers. In general we are too lenient with the companies who act like they are doing us a favor when we are PAYING THEM to perform a service
When I tried to post a comment on the Lowe's web site, it was rejected. I guess they don't like negative comments. One possible excuse I was given was that I posted the comment on different model : a 301 vs the now not sold 300
I think I will write a letter to my state's Atty General. Martha Coakley's organization seems to enjoy sticking it to businesses.

service charge
Purchased a dryer from lowes. Dryer broke in 15 days, lowes farmed out the service call to an outside company who insisted on my credit card before they would come. I called back, and cancelled the service call, (Have the acknowledged cancellation on my phone) and they still showed up. After complaning to lowes, being shifted to one department to another they would do nothing to help me. Sent a certified letter return receipt requesterd to the ceo of lowes. No one even bothered to answer my letter.

worthless product
I purchased the maytag centennial washer over a year ago and it has been nothing but a worthless piece of junk! The wash is not clean, it only wets the laundry. It does not remove any mild stains. You must hand wash a mild stain first and then use this
"maytag" only to rinse what you just had to hand wash! This maytag washer is no good and i must now purchase another washing machine and take a financial loss with this maytag trash! What happened when companies took pride in their products?

warranty issue
I bought a Maytag washer (centennial) because of its reputation. I bought the washer on June 7th of 2011. On June 15, 2012 the washer just quit working. I called Maytag, they said since the warranty was over that I had to pay a technician to come out and it would cost $129. I was upset but I had to have a washer so I scheduled it. The tech came out said the motherboard was bad. He said that this has been a common problem with this machine and that Maytag should actually recall the part. The replacement part was much better. He suggested I call and complain. The part was $180. He said that Maytag may reimburse me because it was so close to the warranty cut off. I mean seriously - 8 DAYS past the warranty. That is ridiculous. I called Maytag back and explained the situation. I really think they should have paid for all of it, but I would settle for at least part of it. It was a just a week from the warranty date. I got the response of "since you already paid for it there isnt anything we can do."
That is crap. I am in the customer service industry and there is NO WAY I would let a consumer get treated with such disregard. Maytag is profitting off of a false reputation and think people should be aware.
Maytag washing machine - MVWC6ESWW1 ... Part number W10248240 ... Called Maytag / Whirlpool today - [protected], was first sent to a parts distributor in Florida, I'm in Pennsylvania. They were happy to sell me the new part for $97.53, plus $15.00 shipping. Said I was looking for a local parts distributor and they placed be through to Maytag "Customer Service". Gave Chelsea my model and serial numbers, explained this washer is at our second home and sees very little usage and that the internet is filled with complaints about this part going bad. I found a youtube video, from an average Joe, that showed this repair (which takes about 5 minutes with your flathead screwdriver) and as of 8/21/12 he had 18, 000 hits ! Now you tell me how many teenagers are watching that video, haha.
My complaint was being passed through to the "complaint department". I asked for a callback on it, Chelsea "couldn't guarantee" they would be calling me back. I suggested there probably wasn't a snowball's chance in he! I'd get a callback, and Chelsea didn't disagree.
Off to spend $100 bucks and my time to fix their known defective part.

maytag gas range is a lemon and they will not replace it
I purchased a Maytag gas range on April 29, 2011. The range has never worked from day 1. Maytag refuses to send me a replacement range. They insist that they will repair it, or, if a service technician deems it unrepairable, they will replace it.
I have had numerous service calls. I have had parts replaced on the range 3 times. After 2 technicians told me personally that they felt that the range was unrepairable, Maytag still refuses to send a replacement range.
Maytag shipped me a lemon, and will not make good on their warranty. I have had the range for 5 months, and it still doesn't work. Do not buy a Maytag product!

maytag washer
Maytag asked A & E Factory Services to re-open a job to have my washing machine fixed. A & E refused Maytag, and did not contact me to let me know. It started on May 8 when A & E initially came out to diagnose the problem with my washing machine at $140. The service person recommended I not fix the washer. The next day after talking to Maytag, I decided to go ahead and fix the washing machine. Maytag called A & E on May 9 and asked them to re-open the job and order parts to fix my washer - A & E refused and said they would have to come out to my home again, for another $140. To top this off, they did not contact me - I finally called on May 23 to find out where my parts were and A & E informed me they did not order them because they cannot re-open jobs and that it was not their responsibility to let me know that the parts were not ordered. Both Maytag and A & E would not take any responsibility in the faulty washing machine (only 13 months old), the non-communication, or the bad business practice of not re-opening a job.

customer service & shipping
We have purchased a few appliances from this company over the years including high end products from Kitchen Aid to be delivered to our home in Florida. Our last purchase of a washer & dryer to be delivered to our Florida home was a disaster. We paid for white glove service and what we got cannot be considered a service at all. The existing machines were to be removed by their shipping service(Which is farmed out) and a fee was paid for this. The appliances were never removed, the new washer & dryer were left inside the garage in it's original box and the shipping service took the money from my 85 year old mother and slipped it into their pockets jumped into the truck and left. I made MANY calls to customer service and the shipping service which is A1 Shipping and complained about this transaction, their answer was always (we will call you back) or we would not receive any return calls. The shipping company wanted to charge us a return trip and stopped taking our calls. After about 12 days of back and forth we had no choice but to pay full price on airfare to go to our home and have this situation taken care of by hiring a moving crew to come into our home, remove the existing washer & dryer, unpack the new ones and install. We have spent thousands of dollars on appliances at Plessers. We should not have been treated this way. We will never make another purchase at this store nor recommend.

I got a lemon and they refuse to make it right
I purchased a Maytag gas range 5 months ago. It has never worked properly. It won't stay hot after it preheats. I have had parts replaced on it 3 times, one part has been replaced multiple times, and Maytag still will not send me a new range. Two service technicians from A&E (the company Maytag sent out) have told me that the range is unrepairable, yet Maytag still refuses to replace it. Don't buy a Maytag product. I got a lemon and they refuse to make it right.

faulty maytag bravos dryer
I purchased a new Maytag Bravos series washer/dryer set in February of 2011. About 3 wks ago, I noticed that my dryer was taking longer and longer drying my clothes and after a while it was just leaving them hot, wet and steamy. There was also large amounts of "wet lint" in the dryer and stuck to the clothes. I took the back off and found the blower belt...
Read full review of Maytag and 3 commentsI am so disappointed in this company and I would never buy any of their products ever again
I purchased a Maytag washer and dryer 18 months ago. Yesterday the electronic components in the washer stopped working. I called a repair man and the cost of fixing an 18 month old washer will cost as much as a new washer! I then called Maytag Corp. They told me their warranty is for ONE YEAR ONLY. They offered to get me the replacement part for 1/2 off the cost, but I would have to pay for the repair! I thought Maytag was supposed to be a good company and that their products last. They do not stand behind their products. I am so disappointed in this company and I would never buy any of their products ever again.

Here's a link to the downward spiral history of the Maytag Company and it's products. Maytag began the process of shifting appliance production to lower-cost assembly plants outside the United States, in 2004 and between 2002 and 2004, Maytag corporate management cut new-product investment by 50%. Once renowned as the standard for laundry appliances, by 2003 the company faced increasing competition from new appliance brands in the US market, as well as from existing appliance manufacturers who had outsourced production a decade earlier in order to reduce costs. On April 1, 2006, the Whirlpool completed its acquisition of Maytag Corporation. In May 2006, just another sad story of the effects of competition and poor U.S. corporate management. In a nutshell, a Maytag is a Whirlpool, so forget the quality reputation aquired during the years of the "Lonely Maytag Repairman" commercials.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maytag
Much like you, we thought the brand name WHIRLPOOL meant quality. And much like you, my wife and I found that quality and standing behind their products means nothing to either the dealers, or the manufacturers.
Although in our case the product was a clothes dryer, the results were the same.
We paid nearly 400 dollars just over a year ago for a Whirlpool/ Estate Dryer/ model EED4400WQ0. It lasted just over a year, stopped working for no reason, and even the repairman said this was a case of faulty workmanship.
Unfortunately his word was not final, and the local dealer, MURPHY APPLIANCE IN OWENSBORO KENTUCKY, left us high and dry with a dryer that's now a hunk of junk for the landfill, which I'm sure is the case for the thousands of others who were stupid enough as us to trust what was once the top name in the business.
Hello:
There should be a recall of most of these machines. I really wish the engineer of these machines would come into some of the consumer's homes for a full wash cycle. Let them see exactly what they're selling to the public, as if they don't already know.
My mother purchased the Maytag ensignia 200 "quiet" series. It's really a sad day when you spend good money on a company's washer and dryer, yet your clothing comes out wrinkled and linted to the max. The clothes are usually clumbed and twisted. The washer has ruined many of blankets. This machine is a total waste of good money, which in this economony is hard to come by. The dryer has never dried anything properly and waste electricity. We can't even sell this crap of machines. I would never let someone else mess up clothing. Not even for free. We'll probably donate them to the Animal shelter to wash out the towel, forget drying them. I am contacting this company for some sort of compensation, this product must be recalled.
I will not purchase another whirlpool/maytag/kenmore product.
In December 2004, I purchased a Maytag Neptune, top Loader washing machine and dryer. Within 2 years I had to have the clutch assembly replaced and less than five years later, I have to replace the clutch assembly again. That means that this machine will have had 3 clutches in less than seven years. The serviceman who diagnosed the latest clutch problem said that this is a known, recurring problem on this Maytag model!
I called Whirlpool/Maytag and was informed that since this machine is so far out of warranty and no recall has been issued, I am not entitled to any remuneration for the repair services. I countered that this machine has a recurring clutch problem and should have been recalled accordingly. A very expensive washing machine like this one should not have had this problem and Maytag should have stepped up and issued a recall. Subsequently, when this machine fails again, I will not purchase another Whirlpool/Maytag/Kenmore product.
lemon, will not work
Purchased june of this year, a maytag centennial commercial technology heavy duty washing machine at home depot and it doesn't work. It's a lemon. Called several since its still under warrantee, they never showed up to repair it.
Repair service couldn't find the house, yet home depot found the house, set it up, took the money... Now has left these senior citizens without any washing machine to wash their clothes. Home depot took the cash money, now they don't want to repair the washer that's under warrantee. If you are a senior watch out, all these companies are out to take your money. They are taking advantage of the elderly, especially the seniors that are over 75+ years old. No one wants to help them.

I have ready many apologies from Maytag representatives on various social media websites. Other than apologize for the issues and problems you have with your Maytag appliance, have you had any success in either getting the appliance repaired (in a timely manner) or replaced?
Maytag centennial commercial technology washing machine is a piece of junk.Takes forever to wash.Anything that is the least bit heavy does not rinse well. The machine makes grinding sounds. The gears are messed up, when it is washing the rinse cycle light is on and when it is rinsing the wash light comes on.I am so unhappy with this machine and feel I have wasted money on this machine. This is the second time I will be calling in a repair person and I do not even have the machine 1 year.hart2ross@g mail.com

I bought my Centennial "Commercial technology" "energy efficient" washing machine from Home Depot in March 2011. It does not spin at all, clothes are completely soaked. Tried every mode, less clothes, wash several time with the same results. Warranty 1 year. Can't call customer service on weekends not open. It disturbing that working people need to lose money during the week to call repair service that only works during the week to fix our very poorly produced washing machines. Have we lost the meaning of customer service, have we become victims to supply and demand tactics. I was told in March 2011 all washing machines are made not to last more than 5 years. But I though Maytag would last longer than the cheaper brands because of the name. HAHA. My last Maytag gave me 9 years at $800, it lasted until Jan 2011, I was told it would cost $400 just for the part to repair just go buy a new one that is less expensive . With this type of return on the dollar it's cheaper to go to the laundry mat.
I am having the same problem and I, too, am furious with Maytag. I will never buy another Maytag appliance again. I have never paid so much for a washing machine, but wanted a quality machine that is built to last and to clean my family's clothes for years. Less than 2 years later, my machine is useless. The bearing has gone out and it will cost me more in parts and labor than the washing machine cost originally. If this is a common problem, then Maytag should repair these poorly made washing machines and not keep making more shoddy products. We, consumers, are not all just going to continue to buy your products when we know that they aren't meant to last more than a year. Ordinary consumers are having a hard time right now paying for expensive appliances that we need and use every day. We want and expect appliances that do what they are supposed to do for years. Selling products that don't work is irresponsible and bad business.
LIke others on numerous sites, I too am experiencing similar problems with my Maytag front loading washing machine. Terrible loud noise that sounds like a freight train in my laundry room and now the failure to extract water during the spin cycle. What is more, my complaints are nearly identical to countless others on the sites. Maytag clearly knows about a problem with its machine but then continues to sell it as reliable? Something we should pay good money for? This is unconscionable. It is inappropriate that a company continue to sell a product it knows to be faulty and take no responsibility for it. I expect the machine repaired at no cost and in a timely manner. It is, of course, horribly inconvenient for a family of 5 who desperately needs a washing machine on a daily basis. I am furious and will be until Maytag and/or Warehouse Applliance Discount Center in Agoura Hills, where I bought the machine, makes amends.

defective washing machine
This washer does not clean clothes. They come out dirtier than they went in. They also present with new spots courtesy of the washer. And this is definitely not energy star. It is costing me a fortune in energy costs.in honoring their "satisfaction guaranteed or your money back" policy they will only guaranty the functionally of the parts. Not the sum of the parts, which is the washing machine. There should be no reason this machine is still being sold.
This washer is defective. Purchased April 2010 and already has broken down twice. Same problem each time. Sold being defective. Want the washer replaced

Hi cteyssier, we're very sorry to learn of your concerns with your Washer. Please send your address, model/serial number, a brief description of your concern and your phone number to Maytag_Digital@Maytag.com. We'll be glad to review your concerns for you.
I purchased all new Maytag and Jenn-air appliances when I remodeled my kitchen. Big mistake! The high end built-in convection oven broke almost immediately. The convection component does not work properly, the temperature probe quit working and the door is junk. The Maytag dishwasher is worse. The control panel ($150) broke and the door latch assembly ($35) snapped. I replaced both in June of 2013 and now the control panel broke again. This is poorly designed. I thought that the door latch assembly broke again and when installing the replacement part (2nd time around) I realized that the control panel has two tiny plastic pieces that hold the latch assembly in place. They broke so now I have to replace the control panel again. I see no point in replacing this part again if they are designed to only last 1 - 2 years (warranted 1 year, of course) when I can buy a new appliance (different brand) for $400 - $1000 which should last many years.
Has anyone else had these parts break so easily?

I recently got my fridge from storage (3 months in all) and hooked my fridge up. It has no lights working but makes ice (albeit slowly and the ice is hollow). If I touch the pad it turns the auger but the flap does not open. I had a Maytag guy come out but all he did was open and shut my door for five minutes and knock on the door. He then stated it would be about $300 to fix the problem (with parts). He didn't seem to have a clue and I was wanting a second opinion.
Beware!
What happened to good ole customer service? I just placed a call to A & E Factory Service only to be snickered at by the rep (Victor) with every question I asked. Needless to say, making that call was a total waste of my time and he could have just as well told me to take a hike the second he answered the phone.
I have the MDB7600AWS model dishwasher that I purchased in 2005. The door handle feels broken but we adapted by squeezing the handle tighter and pulling. It works but it is not right. Our biggest problem is with the wheels on the upper rack; specifically, the plastic retainer shaft holding the wheels on. The plastic this retainer is made from becomes brittle and breaks. Over time, this plastic literally crumbles in your fingers. The metal screw that attaches the shaft to the height adjuster gets swallowed up by the pump. I hate to imagine what damage is being done. Maytag has changed the design but won't admit to the fault. The design has changed to use metal shafts rivetted to the rack height adjuster. Now you have to buy the whole adjuster at $35.00 each for left and right. That's a total of $70.00 CDN before taxes. Maytag should recall these racks and be supplying these parts free. I expect there will be a series pump (grinder) failures in the future. I called Maytag but they just say the warranty is expired. The problem started eight months after I purchased the dishwasher. I ran out of replacement parts that the retailer supplied me and of course the warranty is now expired. The Maytag website is useless because it only refers to the toll free number as a contact and these people won't help.
Dear ABC, I am hoping you can help me with a problem. My Maytag Frontloading washer was purchased in Feb of 2006, broke down Oct. 13th 2007 (for the 2nd time) while I was washing a load of clothes. I called the maytag repair man who came out on Oct. 29th. My clothes at this point had been stuck in the washer for 2 weeks. He tells me he has to order parts and they won't be in till Nov. 30th, because they are on national back order. He also can't get the door open, it's broken locked shut with my clothes inside.
I have been going to the laundry mat for 6 weeks, and I had to purchase new clothes.
I have e-mailed and spoken to maytag several times, they are always sorry but have no answers!
We paid 1200.00 for this washing machine that is clearly a lemon. (I told them I had a Sears Kenmore that lasted 14 years without a problem) This is the 2nd break down. They sent us a recall part because they were causing fires, and now I can't get the parts to get the washer fixed. NATIONAL BACKORDER! because everyone washer is probably having the same problem!
I started calling them on Dec 1st 07, because the part is not here, and they treated me with sarcasm saying why did I wait so long to call, I said "because you said the part woudn't be here till Nov 30th and its still not here! I demanded a new washer, because this one is clearly never getting fixed! They said NO. I got sarcastic and asked if they are going to replace my clothes that have been sitting rotting in my washer for 7 weeks, they said, NO call your homeowners insurance!
I have been patiently waiting for this part, but the waiting is over! I need help! I don't know what you can do for me, but anything is appreciated. I think a $1, 200 washing machine should last longer than 1 year 8mo. and breaking down 2 times! All I want for Christmas is a working washing machine!
I purchased a Maytag Dishwasher on 4/11/03 in less than a year the top rack began to rust out. The company would do nothing claiming rust on racks was covered for only 6 months! When I tried to replace the rack it was beyond what I was willing to pay- (over $100)
Two weeks ago it stopped working - I've have to replace it- I will NEVER buy a Maytag Appliance again.
3 Year Old high end french door refrigerator used gently and compressor goes. Maytag 1-2 weeks on turnaround time to repair warantee work. Will not buy again.
I purchased a Maytag dishwasher in April 2009. It worked for 20 washes, and then the computer panel stopped working in January 2010. I called for service immediately, and got a weekend service scheduled a month later, February 2010. The service woman stated the dishwasher computer panels have a problem with humidity and that it costs several hundred dollars to replace them. Mine was still under warranty, and I complained enough to get an extended warranty. However, the same thing has happened again. I only got 8 more washloads out of it before the panel broke down again. Service couldn't be scheduled for 7 weeks (June 8th is soonest date) because the "expert" they want to look at the machine isn't available on weekends or evenings. I paid $549 for this machine, plus an additional $139.99 for delivery and installation. It was far too much money to have nothing more than a dish drying rack, which is all this machine is good for.
I bought a Maytag washer and dryer front load from home depot last November. I have had major problems with it and here it is 3 months later, still under manufactor warranty and they won't fix it. Just constant promises about getting someone here to repair it. Iter the sale. I have even been in contact with the corporate office and they just keep giving me empty promises. I will never buy Maytag (Wirlpool) again or anything from home depot. Even earlier when I contactedthen they pretty much told me they have nothing to do with the product after the sale.
