KIA Motors kia spectra

I purchased from Dealer: Pusat Servis Supreme Priority Sdn Bhd - Lot 816, Jalan Pegawai, 83000 Batu Pahat. Tel: +[protected], +[protected].

I have encountered too many problems on this Kia Spetra since I have purchased it on 13/0/2009. I will list out all the problems for your further actions later on. First and foremost, I write this complaint to you as I strongly believe that the Kia Spectra I purchased has fully tarnished the whole reputation and band of Kia Motor not only in Malaysia but the entire world. I strongly think that Kia Motor should be shamed of introducing this model of car as it totally disappointed me being a Executive Director of a Construction company in Malaysia. I purchased this car for the convenience of my family but in contrast it is creating problems for my family since the beginning. Even recently I myself drove this car and stopped in the middle of busy road and center of the traffic light junction. I have sent for the kia service center for the solutions but it has never been solved and it is getting worst and worst after the car service. I strongly think that this is the biggest failure of Kia Motor since it has commenced its business and I am asking (not hoping or wishing) that Kia Motor can send someone to overcome all the problems and failures that I have encountered otherwise I will further post my complaint to all the internet media such as facebook, twitter, youtube and so on as a boycott to Kia Motor and I swear that I will do it.

Let's us look at all the problems that I have encountered after 3 times of the car services and the car age is less than a year and most importantly the car is still in the workshop remained unsolvable.
1. Engine will shut down suddenly and frequently, even the gear signal is in N or P condition, it cannot be started again (even a new battery has been replaced.)
2. Gear is not running smoothly sometimes it is not forwarding after running a long distance.
3. Air-con not cold.
4. Audio system spoiled.
5. Sometimes doors are auto-locked even this car without auto-locked functions.

All these problems have caused many other problems in my family. My wife is employed and she is always late and absent for work after driving this car as it always shut down out of sudden and cannot be stared again. My children are always late and absent for school or tuition classes. Sometimes my wife is late for the pick up of children after school or tuition classes. The car stopped in the middle of our long journey after traveling for long distance and so on. Each of these problems have distorted our family and annoyed me since the purchase of this Kia Spectra, most importantly the Kia Servie Center over here has never solved all these car problems untill it continues raising another or more problems.

I think the Kia Motor will be able to send somebody to solve my car problem as soon as possible since it has been staying at the workshop for 3 days before I really take actions to boycott the Kia Motor until all my car problems have been solved.

KIA Motors sucks

I bought a 2005 kia sorento in 2008 of july it is aug 2010 now and the front seal is leaking and the wheel beerings are messed up on the front right had baught extra warrenty went to get the problem fixed and they told me that they could not honner and fix my problem because KIA had sold me a car that had a Branded title: buyback/lemon... Yes they sold me a lemon car and new it and never told me nore was it in the contract I am so mad now i have to come out of pocket to pay for the repair cause i still owe around 8000 for the car and no one will do a trade for me.

KIA Motors paint chipping on hood

Back in may I noticed my kia soul had paint chipping all over the hood, so I took it to the dealer they said they would have to have a kia rep look at it.in mid june that rep came to the dealer to take a look, he said it looked like I drove behind a salt truck, now I have about 200 little paint chips about the same size, this is not the result of driving behind a salt truck, faulty paint job. Almost two months later the rep told the dealer to tell me to let my insurence company fix it. They are trying to get out of paying for the paint job, why did it take so long to tell me to scam my insurence company, I will not do this, my insurence company will be notified of kias plan. This is how kia operates, this will not stop here, all I want is for kia to make it right.

My 2013 Kia Soul has less than 34k miles on it. I live in Arizona where we don't have salt on our roads. Both my Kia Soul and my dad's Kia Optima have the paint chipping. Both are silver. They look like they are 20+ year old vehicles. This is appalling and unbelievable. You literally can drive through Phoenix, Scottsdale, Glendale and Peoria to see all of the Kia vehicles on the road with paint chipping off. It's amazing to me that we can't get anyone to help with this situation.

Did you report to KIA? I am trying to help my mom with her 2014 that looks 25 years old... clear coat is peeling and the paint is very faded as well as the roof trim. Would like to know if you contacted KIA and if they responded. Thank you - best to you.

Same here in south Florida my 2016 Kia Soul silver paint the hood and roof look like it’s 20 years old only 34k miles. That’s what we get for buying a cheap Kia. Fraud for sure

The paint on the top of my 2014 black Kia Soul base came off the two chrome side strips where a rack/carrier would be placed on the roof. It’s not completely off it left hard plastic type ragged edges along all the sides of each strip. It looks horrible. Will it start to dust? I would like this resolved by Kia. I paid too much money to have the value of the money I work hard for STOLEN from me! Does anyone have any viable solution?

My wife's 2014 Sorento has a big chip of paint missing over the windshield. Nothing hit it. She noticed it after I took it through a hand car wash the other day. This car has NEVER been through an automatic carwash with spinning brushes. Once enough owners complain, they'll probably finally do a study and find that the primer that they use is defective.

Same issue, 2011 Soul in molten red. love the car but started get chips on the hood right away, took it back to Ricart for here in Columbus Ohio, they contacted Kia and the rep said it was salt. We do salt the roads here so I let it drop. Now 5 years later it's terrible and its only the hood and not the area above them bumper and below the grill. I would think salt wold affect both area similarly. KIA Paint Sucks.

I just bought a 2016 KIA Soul at end of October and it chipping on hood and on both sides of car body where it flares out for tires. Chipped right down to primer. I love the car, but this is a total turn off. By the time I finish paying for it there will be nothing but rust left.

I am experiencing the same run around with my Soul. I recently went to my local dealer to have a regional rep look at my paint and I also was trying to show him a small 'crease' in the hood of m car that is in the identical place on my wife's 2015 Soul (mine is a 2014). He claimed he could not see it and that I could contact my insurance to have my chips fixed. I told him that the car is only been driven one winter and the amount of paint that is gone (and yes, my model has the splash guards on it) is excessive. I told him I don't drive fast in the snow, so how can there be this much damage. They now want to measure the thickness of my paint which I think is a waste of my time. I have inspected other used Souls on the dealer lot with much less miles on them than mine and they have little or no damage in the same area (in front of the rear wheel wells). The only difference is these other cars have NO splash guards. I feel kind of let down as my wife had her car about a month and we had to take it back and have the entire front bumper re painted because of a defect I found. It seems this company has poor quality control and I told the rep that Kia has some serious paint issues and that I feel quite let down after spending 20 k on this car. Don't get me wrong, the ride, power and comfort are great, but the cosmetic durability is terrible..

Is there a lemon law for paint jobs? I agree with all of the posts on the paint job. only have had my soul for 6 weeks and reported to the dealer about the paint chips. the chips are on various areas of the car. when I asked if they would continue to peel, they said they might. also, we paid for the $1200, sealer, that was sold to us as a protective coating that would pay for itself in resale. now they say the coating wasn't meant to help with paint chips said the same thing, "get a paint pen". also I posted on the kia dealer facebook page, and my comment disappeared right away.
Kept telling me they were all rock chips. really? frustrated and ready to return it under a lemon law.

I have a 2014 sorento that has the same issue but not just on the hood... I even have paint coming off the roof. of course they say it is rock chips to get out of it. however the dealer painted my hood and that seems to be holding up. so it is safe to say kia has bad paint but is not taking responsibility for it. I will not be buying another kia unless they correct this.

I have kia optima 2005.
The paint on the front panel under the hood started chipping after a year.
I thought it was only my car, until I saw another car with the same kind of chipping.
I reported to dealers but they said it us out of warranty, nothing can be done.
Lousy workmanship!

KIA Motors stay away from this dealership

I brought my 07 Sedona for service. I brought it in for an oil change and to fix a tire, along with some other warranty issues. I informed Dave that I wanted an OIL CHANGE. Dave wrote down, in his own writing, 4000k service. I did not see that Dave wrote something different from what I said. I signed the papers and left. Why would Dave write something different than what I said down as I was saying it? The next day, I pick up my Sedona, get home and realize that I was charged $54.95 instead of the usual $33 dollars or so. I called and spoke to Dave who was adamant that I "signed" for the services. I NEVER authorized this service. I was then handed over to one of the most rude and ignorant managers that I have ever spoken too. Pat was condescending, disrespectful, and flat out ignorant. He kept repeating over and over again that I signed for it. Dave clearly wrote down the wrong thing and then charged me more money. Pat informed me that I have to opt out of the 4000 mile service at the time of scheduling. How is a person supposed to opt of a service that they don't know they are getting. I will be contacting the attorney general about this blatant fraud.

Pat kept repeating over and over that you signed for it, because you did! You said so yourself, you signed something without bothering to read it, and now you're whining? What would you do if someone signed a contract with you, then, after you performed your service, they sniveled and whined that they hadn't bothered to read what they signed so therefore you're committing fraud by trying to get paid for your work?

Grow up, son, and get past the victim mentality! Man up, and be grateful it only cost you a measly $21 (for which you received service) to learn to read what you sign your name to!

KIA Motors air conditioning complaint

I bought a Kia Carens Car on December 2009, from day one the AC is not working, I contacted the agency and did several maintenance visits but the AC is still not working. Every time I go to the agency they just recharge the freon gas without knowing the reason for leakage and the AC works only few days and then back dysfunctional. The car still did not reach the 10, 000 km. With those several visits to the Kia Motors maintenance and the very bad results, I need to change my car with a brand new one (same model).

KIA Motors technical suport

Dear Sirs:
My name is José Sá Barros and I live in Lisbon. My E-Mail address is: [protected]@netcabo.pt
I have a Kia Carens with 33.000 Kms. On passed day June 6 I went to Kia repair station in the morning with intermitent starter problems. For my surprise they told me that there were no starter motor available until next Jun 16 and that date was not guaranted. The starter motor was ordered to Belgian and I went away because I needed the car. Next day (7 June) the starter motor broked completely and the car was towed to the Kia repair station again. I asked for a substitution vehicle and I was beeing told that a substitution vehicle is available for repairs longer than 8 hours and that to change a starter motor takes only 0ne hour and a half. Is that my fault that the starter is not available? This is typically a gypsy business. These attitudes harm good Kia`s name.

KIA Motors defective new kia soul

I purchased a brand new Kia Soul plus on April 10, 2010 from Ron Tonkin Kia. Happy with the size style etc. Within 100 miles the engine light came on. I called Kia, the dealer and service manager. They all told me not to worry about it and keep driving it unless the light was blinking. I did not buy a new car to experience engine light issues. I took it to Power Kia in Salem and they said it had a lose plug. Light was off I was happy. Just under 300 miles the light came on again. I called and was told to bring it back. It was a thermostate problem and the part had to be ordered. I waited at least ten days, with the car in my garage for the part to come in. Then had to wait about two hours to get it fixed. Light off, all is good. I had opened an official KIA claim and have a claim number already. Yesterday 04/21/10 the car just died. High pitch scream when I tried to re-start it. Tried to call KIA but due to me being stuck in traffice, people honking etc, I opted to call AAA and was told by Kia to tow it to Power Kia in Salem Oregon. I received a call today and also went to look at my car. The engine is FRIED. Apparently the oil pump was not working so the engine was not oiled. Three of the four cylinders are shot, the metal parts got so hot they are melted. Supposedly KIA motors advised it could be fixed, not with a brand new motor but a long block. This is not ok with me. The car is severely damaged. So.. I call the dealer Ron Tonkin that sold me the car, the finance manager Greg told me to come in and he would make it good. Drove and hour up to Gladstone, spent four hours waiting. told them very clearly I was not paying more or a higher payment. They were so sneaky, figured out that my payment would be the same, but added a whole year to the financing, added $2, 300.00 to the replacement car. I refused this deal. The car at this point only has 982 miles on it. A new car right? Well, they called it a " trade in" and of course was not worth what it was when I drove it off the lot, so they were not going to be put out. The manager complained that he should not have to pay the tow bill to get it to him from Salem, but did not care about the tow bill I have to pay to get it from my town to Salem. I mentioned " attorney and law suit" they did not care. ### full of lies and deceit. I bought a new car and want a new car, not some over heated piece of junk that has a melted down engine. It will have a car fax strike against it now, and even if I wanted to sell it, it has been severely damaged. Not OK with me at all. Power Kia was kind enough to give me a rental car to use, but I stopped by today and told them that I am refusing to pick up the car that will be repaired. I did not buy a repaired, damaged, over heated, non working car that I could not depend on. I would think that the dealership would have gone out of their way to please me, make me happy and make the deal good. NOT. They were arrogant, rude, sleezy and nasty. I plan to file a lawsuit against them for damages, stress, time, travel, costs and punitive damages to the full extent. Think twice before buying a car with Ron Tonkin dealership. They do not take care of you as a customer, they have no value in a " good deal". I put down $10, 500.00 on this car and financed a very small amount. They added extended warranty of $1, 450.00 of which I did not want saying it was to get me the financing etc. My pay off is only $5, 800 and they wanted me to sign a contract to pay over $8, 100.00 plus have to pay all the new tag, registration fees etc. What a total rip off. So my trade in is gone, my new car is a piece of garbage. I specifically asked if they ( the seven men who were arguing with me in the office) would treat their mom or wife this way and they said " YES". What does that tell you?

Thanks for the advice Buddy, appreciate it, but a Lemon is a Lemon is a Lemon. I smell burning now and the blue tooth phone quit already. I love the car, just need a new one that is not defective. I know, I like Whine with my cheese!

At kia a long block is a motor that was from an older model of kia that will fit in the soul they do not use new motors on repairs for the kia soul you are right to refuse it and notify your local new station and have them do a story they will change their tune and get you fixed right up if you do that and still file a law suit for the damages and stress and lose of time.

If they were trying to put a long block in it that means they are putting a new engine. not that they are going to rebuild your old one. a long block is a complete engine. a short block is the lower half that they would have to rebuild. go back to the dealer and get your long block before they change their mind.

KIA Motors very poor quality

I bought a 2001 KIA Sportage 4x4 when it had only 17 miles on it. I can't use the 4x4 in the winter because it freezes when the temp. reaches 32 degrees F. The KIA mechanic told me there is a condensation box that is exposed to the elements. He said the whole vehicle was very poorly designed.

I have gone through 4 heater blower motors. There is a screen right under the windshield that allows debris and water to get into the blower unit. The garage manager of the KIA dealership told me that was also a very poor design on KIA's part. I have to pay for it though. The water gets into the motor and shorts out the unit. After the third unit I had installed, he told me to make sure I keep the air recirculation on. This will close the vent and keep most of the water out. The problem with doing that though is all of the windows fog up.

When the rear window washer ran out of fluid, I took it into the garage. There was a tube missing and I was told I had to be the one who broke it. I told them I brought it in because I couldn't get the door open for the fill tube. They refused to believe me or repair it.

At 20, 000 miles, I had to have all of the belts replaced due to dry rot. I live in the Midwest. That repair cost me almost $600. There was a squeal and I kept taking it back only to be told that was a normal sound. By the time I took it to another garage, I was told the belts were not installed with the right tension and now I have to have two pulleys and all of the belts replaced again.

The KIA warranty is totally worthless as everything that has gone wrong, I have been told is not covered. I had them replace the windshield wiper blades replace by KIA. It fell apart within 2 weeks and scratched the windshield.It was raining and I had to use them to get to the garage. I was told that it was not their problem either. This is the only vehicle I own and cannot afford to buy another car. This is the worst vehicle I have ever owned. No wonder I got a good deal when I bought it.

Good afternoon people from KIA Motors.
We are compelled to return to an old problem. Your Responsible persons from the Ukrainian division are continuing no do nothing for fixed small problem. They are wait when we will simply buy the broken detail. According to my rights as consumer, I have month for the problem decision. But the company carries out simply unscrupulous to the policy on a deceit of the clients. It turns out, that having spoken by phone and having calmed words of the client impudent ignoring proceeds. Till May, 14th there were some days. After 30 days I wish to begin process against company KIA MOTORS. More indifferent relation to the clients I did not see.

It was my very big mistake for buy a KIA car.

We are hereby inform you that our car is on a guarantee of KIA Motors. There are passed service of 20 000 km on service centre M-Service Kerch. Crimea Ukraine. Manager of this stations has established damage of the lever of a manual brake. According by procedure and regulations was written report about damage and sanded request list to the Maine office of KIA MOTORS UKRAINE. Kiev city. From our side We have written the letter by E-Mail to head office 'n.[protected]@falconauto.com.ua'- contact manager. But people working at head office simply ignore us. Full indifference from the people of KIA MOTORS. Do not wish to answer letters. After 30 days we will prepare documents in court and to return our car KIA SORENTO to the company. Not desire to carry out guarantee certificates popular measures compel us to go on these not. We are hope, that the company will react correctly to our lawful complaint. What about the reputation of one biggest car makers in the world.

KIA Motors bad business practices

Kia dealership (Bourne, ma) owner robert scena was forced to close his doors due to bad buisness practices, but not before ripping 100's of people off. He got me for $1800. I purchased the extended warranty for $1200. And the gap insurance for $600. He took the money and never sent in the paperwork to the proper companies. Therefore I am out my $1800., and I have no coverage. The car inself is a piece of crap, and i'm sure that extended warranty would have come in handy in the very near future. Kia is a disgrace for allowing any loser off the street to open a dealership selling their goods and ripping off unsuspecting, hard-working customers.

I am one of KIA MOTORS customers in ZANJAN province of IRAN.
I have a 2009 OPIRUS it is driven 11500 kms now.
KIA MOTORS iranian commission the ATLAS KHODRO CO. already had commission in ZANJAN city but now they cut his connection with ZANJANS commission .
therefore I have problem in garantee of car.
My car has some problems in brake in body paint in trip computer and body cords.
When I bought car the body cords of car were rusty.
sevral times I told my car problems to ATLAS KHODRO customers complaints section but they do not pay attention me and up to now I have not recive any reply them.

KIA Motors withdrawal of rebate

we went in looking for a new car. we decided on a 2010 kia rio sedan. the sales man told us that the 2009 kia serento had a 5, 000 rebate (it was new, only 48 miles). because of the amount of our trade 2006 chrysler sebring convertible (6, 500) and the 5, 000 rebate it made sense to buy the serento. total price would have been 26, 000 financed. However, final loan papers, took the rebate away and we were stuck with a 31, 000 financed amount. the trade was already gone so we could not back out of the deal as they would only give us the 6, 500 for the trade. (we owed 10, 000). Really felt this was a bait and switch. Sales Manager stated that they withdrew the rebate because of the condition of our trade. This whole deal stunk and we are stuck with a new car (not the one we wanted) with much less gas mileage and a much bigger vehicle than desired. Not at all happy with the conclusion. felt super pressure to go ahead with the deal rather than walk away with no car and still owe 4, 000. Will never ever ever buy from this dealer or any other dealer of Kia. (this was also the 2nd car purchased)

After reading the reviews of this dealership I was very thinking about not going to purchase my car from there. My credit is not good and this was the only dealership that was willing to help with my situation. I went there on a Saturday with my father so I could have some support. When I arived they were very busy every desk was full and we had to wait about a half hour before we were able to be seen by a salesman. While we were waiting we could not help to hear some of the people talking about how they were trying to get cars and that this dealership was the only one that approved them. It started to make me worry and my dad thought it was a scam, due to him knowing my credit situation. It turned out that they really could help me I had to put down $1300.00 for my taxes that I didn't really like but I was able to get a Nissan Altima it was very clean and I felt like I recived a good deal. The people there were very blunt about my situation which I didn't like, but my dad was on there side, and they were right. Over all I want to let anybody know that if you have credit issues and need help this place will actualy try to help.

I have no idea what this debt is

they don't talk to me

they just keep harrassing me

where is the attorney for the state and why is he not putting a stop to this
