I bought an entertainment center on May 5th, 2013, delivery date was Jun. 2nd, 2013. Now almost 4 months later there is still no commitment to a delivery date. When I asked, if I could cancel the purchase, customer service answered in a very unpolite way, that this is not possible and the dates are estimates. Unbelievable. Unfortunately other reviews are saying the same. Avoid to purchase anything with this company.
We are extremely dissatisfied with our recent purchases from Thomasville of Augora Hills, CA both with the quality of the products and the post-sales customer service. It is appalling to me that after having spent over $11, 000 on products that seem to be of good quality in the showroom but are of inferior quality with poor craftsmanship when delivered to your home. And when you call the store salesperson, who has now made her commission on the sale, you get told in the most unfriendly and unprofessional way that it is customer service who has to deal with the issue. We ordered sofas from Thomasville Furniture about 3 months ago. At the time, they told us it should take 4-5 weeks to deliver. Weeks upon weeks passed with no word from the company. We had to keep calling and arguing with them just to find out that the fabric was still on backorder 3 months later.
We tried to cancel our order. The lady on the phone literally snickered and said it was too late to cancel and get our deposit back even though they haven't started making the furniture yet!!!

I purchased a Thomasville Vintage collection office set (glass front book shelf, lateral file, hutch and desk) through office depot. I spent several hours putting the furniture together|. I purchased the bed frame a few years ago as part of an entire bedroom set and started having problems immediately with the bed frame.
Unfortunately, when one goes to buy a bed frame, one normally does not look at the support underneath. The king size bed frame had no slats and it only has three very slim metal rods going across the bed frame and the middle support legs are narrow and prone to bend at the slightest movement of the bed.

Spent a good bit of money on what I hoped would be quality furniture, but after waiting 5 weeks for delivery, the items I received were not only poorly stained but completely missing stain on the legs of 3 different items.
Although the poor quality was disappointing, what was really disappointing was the response of Thomasville. When I told them I wanted to return the defective pieces, they insisted that I would have to pay a 10% restocking fee. A restocking fee on defective furniture????

I purchased the new Sodona Ridge living room tables. After several attempts for finish repairs, two tables were replaced. I then ordered a sofa. The sofa had to be re-made because the skirt was crooked. Where is their quality control. I got the re-made sofa and decided that I would like two extra pillows. The sofa came with 4 pillows and I paid the upgraded charge for fabric and trim ($50 for each of two decorative pillows). DO NOT BUY FROM THOMASVILLE!!! My mother wanted to buy a bedroom set from Thomasville so we went and picked out the Cinnamon Hill set. We were told it would take two weeks. My wife and I ordered a dining room set for $8, 000. They told us when it would be delivered, and that we would receive a call the day before to schedule delivery. When no call came, I called the store, who told me they sub-contracted out delivery to some outfit known as Executive Delivery. Hah. I called the number, and could only get to voice mail. We purchased a mattress from Thomasville almost ten years ago. We also purchased a sofa-bed at the same time. We have 6 other Thomasville pieces (What is the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results)
The mattress developed sags within a couple of years. We called and complained. They sent out a "technician" whose "fix" was to put two pads under the mattress. So the resulting image when the bed was made had two big humps in the bed. Just awful. The pads exacerbated my acid reflux and I now have grade 3 esophagitis.

Thomasville SUCKS!!! We purchased a full dining room set, sofa, and bedroom set. The furniture was delivered with the following damage:

2. Scratch in dining room table

4. Scratches on dining room chair

We purchased a piece of furnitrue from Thomasville August 30, 2008. As of today November 29, 2008 they still can give us a delivery date. Worse they could not even contact me to let me know the furniture was delayed. If you are considering Thomasvilled I sugguest you go to another line. Thomasville does not deliver as promised.
I am in sales and when I give my customers a timeframe, I MEET IT. My customers do not need to read the "fine print" because I explain it well. My sales person did not make a big deal about the fine print, and I thought Thomasville was reputable enough to not lie. My furniture is still not here after 8 weeks (promised in 3-4). The manager has not returned our calls. I have no choice but to wait because of their "RIP OFF" re stocking fee. What a bogus charge!!! I will never even enter another Thomasville showroom!!!
My wife and I recently purchased a Felicity Sunlit Cherry Bedroom Suite from Thomasville Furniture. Our Thomasville saleswoman had led us to believe that our Thomasville furniture would be made in North Carolina, but when it was delivered we discovered that it was all made in China. Thomasville had built its reputation on delivering high quality American-made furniture from North Carolina -- but it appears that those days are now long gone.
The fit & finish of our Thomasville made-in-China furniture was poor. There's really no other way to describe it. Our bedroom suite has a total of 28...
I went into the local Thomasville store and bought a lamp table from Thomasville's Cinnamon Hill group. I paid cash (second big mistake). Was promised deliver of table (I was told it was "in stock") the following Friday (they only deliver in my area one day--at their convenience). I received a call on my cell an hour after purchase saying it was not "in stock" and would not be delivered for six weeks! I agreed to wait (third big mistake). At six weeks, the table was still not available. At another six weeks, with a scheduled delivery date promised by a manager...still no table...no...
Just shameful from front to back.
The order was ok and on time, Home Depot was even great in the kitchen design. But shame on them for recommending Thomasville.
These cabinets are low quality and the paint chips off at a whiff of wind. In addition the hinges are now failing regularly and getting someone over here has been impossible.
Not sure where to go with this company and that has been the worst part. I am not sure what my options are either with them.
I am waiting for their rep yet again to come over and have a look but it is obvious that this is just low quality crap and fighting customer service is going to get me another low quality facing for these things.
Very Expensive Mistake with Thomasville!!!
A custom order placed on May 26, 08 Tomasville estimated delivery time is approx.60-75days. As of today it has been 83days without furniture. This company has developed a bad/terrible reputation and will never be used/referred by myself or anyone I know or come in contact with.
