Rural King Layaway guns

12/28/23 4:17 pm walked into rural king in logansport Indiana went up to the customer service area asked if I could make a payment on my layaway. Like ive done many many times before. What ever manager is working today didn't get his name but I was told rural king doesn't do layaways was turned away and was treated like I didn't know what I was talking about,also like i dont speak english. Mind you I've lived my whole life in the USA and also I happen to be a US Marine vet I am soo confused mad because that isn't how to handle customers so I stormed out pissed off I feel very humiliated. If someone could address this to that manager it would be very appreciated thanks.

Rural King Love Rural King but dispise Rural King web login.

I have not been able to logon to my RK account in about 3 weeks. At least 5 times I do get a password reset code only to find out it is already expired. I called in once again today and was told I should have a new code emailed to me in "a couple of minutes", It has now been an hour and 5 minutes and still no email.

I am pretty sure that if the CEO had to deal with this problem, it would have been resolved already.

Very unhappy with the computer support of lack there of.

Rural King Online order

November 14, 2023 About 3 pm online order placed on ruralkingcom. 200000163507 order number/invoice number

Was charged 20 something ($20.43) was used off of my card. Never heard anything else from them. Repeatedly emailed and inquired about the order off of their help center. They never responded and I finally hit the live person icon on the side of their website. Valorie acted like she was going to get to the bottom of it. But lied and didn't finish with an answer. Never responded to my email like she said.

What else can I do?

Rural King Hiring procedure

I have applied at my local Rural King more than once and have never gotten an interview. The last one was for a part time cashier and I feel I was qualified. My work history is impeccable, having retired from 37 years with my last employer but Rural King wouldn't even give me the courtesy of a job interview. I'm a veteran, have good health, live just down the street and have been a loyal customer since moving here two years ago. When I stop by to enquire as to my application I get the "don't call us we'll call you" treatment. I feel I'm most likely being discriminated against because of my age and the fact that when I speak it's obvious that I'm not from here.

Desired outcome: I'd like a chance at a job.

Rural King Stihl chainsaw

Purchased a chainsaw on 7/10/23, it was a Stihl. It would not stay running and I took it back to the Henderson Ky store where it was purchased. I was told that the guy that would have to look at was not there and I would have to leave it, they took my name and number and said I would be contacted. I didnt hear anything for a couple days and I went back. I then was told that he had already left for the day and they could not find my chainsaw. I called the following day and talked with the man that had looked at it and he said it had just needed a different gas, and I owed $5 and that it was running. I again went to pick it up and and this time it could not be found, they didnt know where it was. I went today and I just wanted to refund the chainsaw since it had been so long and was told that since it was a Stihl it could not be returned after 7 days.

Desired outcome: I would like to return the product, and get a refund. I bought a new chainsaw it didnt work, and they had to repair it and then wanted to charge me for it

Rural King I brought a new I manger and mechanic

I brought a stil 50 series weedeater about two mths ago it mess up I took it back to the store they told me there was nothing wrong with it I call stil they told me to take it to a stil dealer they found the carburetor was bad the manager lied to me also the mechanic also did I try to get a new one but the manager said no I want something done with him another weedeater at his cost for lying to me

Rural King Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Rural King and Tractor Supply

I recently bought a Bestway pool from Rural King's website for a whopping $500. I was excited to set it up and enjoy the summer sun, but unfortunately, the pump leaked from the bottom. I was pretty bummed out, but I decided to give their customer service a call to see if they could help me out.

After giving them my information, they told me that someone would get back to me. The next day, I received an email from them with some instructions on how to get the replacement parts I needed. Unfortunately, when I tried to visit the website they provided, it didn't exist! I was pretty frustrated, and I couldn't wait until August to resolve the issue. I needed the pump, so I had to purchase a new one on Amazon.

Luckily, the new pump I bought (an Intex pump) worked beautifully and didn't leak at all. But I was pretty disappointed with Rural King and Tractor Supply. I don't think I'll be doing any business with them again in the future.

So, if you're thinking about buying something from Rural King or Tractor Supply, I would recommend being cautious. Make sure you can return the item if you need to, because they might not be able to help you out if something goes wrong. I hope this review helps you make an informed decision!

Rural King Unprofessional Conduct and Disregard for Customers: My Experience with Rural King

My experience with Rural King was not the best, and I wouldn't want anyone to go through what I did. I saw an ad for their website and ended up subscribing to their email list. I decided to visit their store on December 3, 2019, and arrived at 6:11pm. However, to my surprise, the doors were locked. I had been receiving emails from them for a whole week, advertising their products and offers. That afternoon, I received a message from them about their extended holiday hours, stating that they closed at 10pm. So, I was confused as to why they were closed when their emails and website indicated they were open.

When I asked the staff about it, they told me that there was a holiday party for the employees and their families. However, I saw dozens of customers in the parking lot who were just as confused as I was. It was frustrating to see that they had been sending me emails about their products and offers, but they couldn't even keep their store open during their advertised hours.

To make matters worse, after this incident, I continued to receive ridiculous emails from them, claiming things like, "If we don't have it, you don't need it." It was clear that they didn't care about their customers and were only interested in making a profit. When I decided to unsubscribe from their email list, I was met with a giant pop-up message on my screen that said, "What a shame!" It was discourteous and obtrusive, and it only confirmed my decision to never do business with them again.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend Rural King to anyone. Their lack of consideration for their customers and their unprofessional conduct is unacceptable. It's important for businesses to prioritize their customers and treat them with respect, and Rural King failed to do so.

Rural King is my go-to store for all my shopping needs. I have even traveled miles from my home just to visit their stores. Each store has its unique items, making it exciting to explore. The trick to getting the best deals at Rural King is to shop after the season ends. My boyfriend is an avid hunter, and he always finds his hunting gear at 75% off or more.

During my recent visit to a local store, I was able to snag some fantastic deals. They had fleece-lined leggings on sale for only $2.69, and I couldn't resist buying a few pairs. These leggings are super soft and comfortable to wear. Additionally, they have a clearance section that includes not only seasonal items but also everyday essentials. I was able to purchase some Real Tree camo mixing bowls for only $1 each, which I plan to take to our hunting cabin. I already have the matching plates, so it was a perfect find.

Rural King Disappointing Experience with Rural King: Inaccurate Product Description and Poor Customer Service

I recently ordered a yard swing from Rural King's website, ruralking.com. The photos on the website clearly showed a frame, so I was excited to receive my new swing. However, when it arrived, I was disappointed to find that it was just the swing and no frame. I didn't feel ripped off, but I was frustrated that the company didn't describe the product accurately.

I contacted customer service to schedule a return, but was told that the return shipment was on me. I explained that the issue was theirs, but they didn't seem to care. They even claimed that the description stated that it was swing only, but I triple checked and found no mention of that. I was left with two options: make a one hour trip to the nearest shipping point and pay for return shipping, or make a 45 minute trip to the store for the return. I chose to go to the store.

The return process was a headache. It's a good thing Rural King sells binder twine and bailing wire, because that's the only thing that seemed to be holding their online to store return system together. It was a frustrating experience, and to top it off, they kept the $18 in sales tax that I had paid.

Overall, I would not recommend shopping at Rural King. The inaccurate product description and poor customer service made for a frustrating experience. Save yourself the headache and shop somewhere else.

Rural King Amazing Staff at Rural King: A Review of My Experience

So, let me tell you about my experience at Rural King (ruralking.com). I went there last night to buy some items, and when I tried to pay with my credit card, it was declined. But don't worry, because the staff at Rural King are amazing! They just need to reset the router, which is located on a center pole that they have to climb up to. It took a few tries, but eventually, my card went through.

However, during this process, all of my items had to be rescanned. The first time, my total was $190, but the second time it was $172, and the third time it was $194. I was a bit confused about the price difference, but I didn't think too much of it. Then, on the third attempt, they told me I would need to pay with cash. I was a bit frustrated, but I said okay and went to Kroger to get the money.

When I came back, my cart was gone, and I was told to come back tomorrow. This was a bit of a problem for me because I am on crutches and there was an ice storm outside. But thankfully, Mitch, who has worked at Rural King for nine years, saw me struggling and decided to help me. He held back on putting my items back on the shelf and helped me from falling on the ice-covered floor. Thank you, Mitch! You are a hero!

I am sure that Rural King will give Mitch a giant raise and make him the store manager. To the rest of the management team, I hope you take note of Mitch's actions and reward him accordingly. Overall, I had a great experience at Rural King, and I will definitely be back. Thank you, Rural King, for having such amazing staff!

Rural King Rural King in Huber Heights, Ohio Not Enforcing Mask Mandate - Concerns for Patron Safety

I recently visited the Rural King store in Huber Heights, Ohio and was disappointed to find that they are not enforcing the face mask mandate. The only indication that masks are required is a small sign on the front door, which is not easily visible to those entering the store. To make matters worse, the manager at the customer service desk was not wearing a mask when I entered the store and was still not wearing one when I checked out.

When I brought this to the attention of two other employees at the customer service desk, one was wearing a mask while the other had hers pulled down to her chin. Their response was less than satisfactory, simply stating that they "just work here" and not offering to let me speak to the manager.

As a business, I believe that Rural King should be informing their employees of the mask mandate and enforcing it for the safety of their patrons. It is concerning that they are not taking this seriously and it has caused many people in Huber Heights to express their concerns and refuse to shop at Rural King. In contrast, Menards requires masks and checks them at the door, which has not hurt their business at all. It is clear that Menards is more concerned about the safety of their patrons than Rural King.

I understand that these are frustrating times for businesses and patrons alike, but it is important to follow the rules and mandates set out by our mayor for the safety of everyone. Until Rural King remedies this situation, I will not be shopping there and I would appreciate a response from the company.

Rural King Mixed Feelings About Rural King: Issues with Management and Employee Misconduct

Rural King, or ruralking.com, is a store that I have mixed feelings about. While I enjoy my job and most of my coworkers, there are some issues that need to be addressed by management.

Firstly, the ASMs, or assistant store managers, seem to be more interested in being best friends with each other than actually doing their jobs. They often get away with doing minimal work throughout the day and have a superiority complex once they are in their position. They are also incredibly disrespectful to anyone under them, except for a few favorites they have. This is blaringly obvious and can be frustrating for those who are not in their inner circle.

Furthermore, the ASMs often pile tasks onto other employees, including the HR rep, whose job is not to be moving freight or any other task on the floor. This leaves the HR rep with no time to assist employees with issues or check scheduling requests.

Another issue is the lack of action taken by management when it comes to employee misconduct. There is a particular employee who keeps stealing coworkers' food and drinks and sabotaging things in the breakroom, which can and have made coworkers sick. However, management refuses to do anything about it because there are no cameras in the breakroom. This is unacceptable and shows a lack of concern for the well-being of employees.

Additionally, the restrooms have not been cleaned in two weeks, and there is no longer a dedicated person to clean them. The mop bucket still has the same black water in it, and the floors and toilets are nasty. Even the stall walls are disgusting, and there is no ventilation in the employee or customer restrooms. This is a health hazard and needs to be addressed immediately.

Despite these issues, I do respect the store manager for all the effort they put forth. However, they seem to have difficulty getting the ASMs under control, and management as a whole needs an extreme makeover.

Lastly, special attention needs to be given to the chicks in the store. Their care is severely lacking as of late, and this is concerning. I would attach photos, but they may upset some people.

Overall, Rural King is not a bad place to work, but it is easy to go home angry due to the issues mentioned above. I hope that management takes action to address these concerns and make the store a better place for everyone.

Rural King Rural King Review: Low Pay, Toxic Culture, and Terrible Policies

Rural King is a place where you work hard for very little pay. I've been working here for two years and have only received a measly 36 cent raise. Meanwhile, the owners and corporate bigwigs are flying around in helicopters, living the high life. It's hard to make ends meet when you can barely afford to put gas in your truck. The schedule is never set, so it's impossible to have a second job to supplement your income. You're expected to work seven days a week, even though you'll only be scheduled for 25 hours at minimum wage.

The absence policy is a joke. There's no good excuse for being late or missing work. Even a doctor's note won't excuse you for being sick. And forget about sick days - they don't exist. Every missed day is a point, and being even one minute late is half a point. If you accumulate seven points, you're fired. It's that simple. To make matters worse, the culture at my store is toxic. Employees are constantly backstabbing and tattling on each other to gain favor with upper management.

The customers are a mixed bag. Some are ignorant rednecks, some are ghetto trash, and some are doddering retirees. They complain about every penny spent and try to haggle with employees like it's a flea market. But at the same time, they expect top-notch service and special treatment. They'll complain about anything in hopes of getting a free gift card from management. Some even make up stories to submit online, and management almost always sides with the customer.

The stores are dirty, cold in the winter, and hot and stuffy in the summer. And you have to listen to country music all day, even if you're not a fan. You're only allowed a 10-minute break, which is barely enough time to use the restroom and grab a soda. And forget about sitting down - your break is over before you know it. The turnover rate is incredibly high, with 60-70% of employees leaving within six months. And the owners and managers don't care about us - we're just replaceable parts in their money-making machine.

If you have an enemy, tell them to get a job at Rural King. It's a terrible place to work, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Rural King Rural King RK-21 Tractor Review: Great Machine, Poor Service

I recently purchased a RK-21 from Rural King's website in May 2021. After completing the 50 hour maintenance as per the manual, I noticed that the loader bucket was a bit loose. I immediately called the store and spoke to a woman in charge who got the mechanic on the line. We agreed that they would order new pins under warranty and I would pick them up and install them myself. So far, so good, right?

However, weeks turned into months and I still hadn't received the parts. My sister and her daughter were heading to the store for chicken feed, so I asked her to check on the parts for me. Long story short, my sister and the tractor woman had a bit of a disagreement, and my sister was treated poorly until she left the store. She complained to corporate about the tractor lady and the parts, and a few days later, the parts were finally in. It seems like corporate can make things happen when they need to.

I took a pin from my tractor with me to ensure that I got the right parts, but when I got to the store, they gave me the wrong ones. They took a picture of my pin to make sure they ordered the right ones, but it had already been three and a half months, and we were starting over. Many weeks came and went again, and I stopped at the store on 7/25 to ask for a manager to see why it was taking so long to get the parts.

While I was explaining everything that had happened, the tractor woman butted in and accused me of abusing my tractor. I told her that she had me confused with someone else and that I had never abused my tractor or anything else that I own. She said that they had a picture, but when I asked for an explanation of how they could look at a picture and tell me that I abused my tractor, she had no answer. The manager said that he would make a call on Monday to see what he could find out, but he didn't mention anything about extending my warranty.

The next day, I got a call saying that the parts were in, but when I went to pick them up, they told me that I had to pay for them. The manager was no help, and I was frustrated. There are three morals to this story: first, tell your sister not to get the tractor lady in trouble until after you get the right parts; second, don't underestimate a person who has worked in upper management positions for most of their career; and third, there is nothing wrong with RK tractors. I love mine, and I think it's better than the green and orange ones, but keep the service in mind when you buy from Rural King.

If you're wondering, I didn't end up paying for the parts. I told them that I wouldn't give them a single dollar. There is a lot more that I could say about my customer experience, but I'll save it for the next chapter.

Rural King Workplace Hostility and Abuse at Rural King: A Pet Specialist's Experience

I recently worked at Rural King as a Pet Specialist, and I have to say that my experience was not a good one. At first, everything seemed great. The Manager of the Store in Heath Ohio # 80 was super nice, very fair, respectful, and kind. However, the Managers under him were horrible! They were more interested in making sure they got to the bakery by 12 noon, which is the peak hour of work. Coincidence? I think not!

They would wait for the Manager of our Store to leave, and it was a free-for-all. They would push us workers to lift heavy pallets of dog food, 50 lbs each, 80 total. We had to run back and forth trying to help customers, and they would push the Visa card on top of us, even though we were not hired to do that. After 90 days, they would push Cobra Insurance on us, and they told me I had to pay $300.00 a pay, which I said I can't afford.

I was not trained one time by my manager Amy, who ran 2 areas, and not once showed me how to do a plan a gram. I was harassed and belittled by her when I was working alone in the aisles. She screamed at me, saying things like "Don't you walk away from me!" and "Shut up, sit down, and I own you!" She would then triangulate other managers to tell me to calm down and not get upset.

I was working on a task the Manager told me to do, and because I would not stop and drop everything while on a ladder and fix 326 price changes that accumulated by her not showing me how to set a planagram, I was also shoved to work in areas I was not hired to work, like livestock. I was made to lift very heavy bags of dog food, horse feed, and pull pallets by myself, a 57-year-old woman who is not the incredible hulk! I then injured my right wrist, messed up my back, and now have numbness and loss of feeling in my right hand from her sitting on a forklift and demanding everyone do her work!

Most managers in that store are obese and have serious health issues, while we workers are tired, overworked, and underpaid. This is workplace hostility, and as a result, many people have walked out, been fired, or had to transfer to other departments. Amy has also verbally threatened me and laughed at me while forcing me to go into the back room alone with her. I said absolutely not as I asked for the head manager to be present, and the reply was "he's out to lunch." This abuse has been going on for 90 days. I have talked to people in this store who state they are treating Rural King like a sweatshop, and some have been so abused that they are on anxiety medication or worse, having strokes or having heart problems from the stress.

When I left, Don, one of their Gestapo managers, told me, "You will not raise your voice in here," and followed me out like a German soldier out to the lot and still demanded I leave, watching as I was on Target Parking Lot, not Rural King. I came into this store with little or no money, and they offered me $17.25, and I thought they cared, but their leader, Amy the Bully, said she owned me? And I will do what and when she says. I had to ask for breaks, and sometimes did not get a lunch after 3 and got in trouble after they ran me ragged.

The whole store is a safety hazard. The roof was patched, not replaced, and now they want to remodel the bathrooms first? Where are their priorities? They abuse the elderly, the weak, and the sick. They penalize us, while they, the Black coats, go on vacations and take long days off and get 50 hours a week! While they reduced our wages, this is abuse. You want to know why your calls don't get answered? Now you know! The Managers sit on their butts in the back and play God, walk around like they have a corn cob up their butts, and whine about helping us red coats! No thank you, the $17.25 is not worth it.

A video is posted on YouTube under Under the Battle Between Good and Evil in America. Others will be uploaded in the future. I suggest you in Ohio go to the Tractor store on 21 street instead. I also noticed they don't hire people of color in that store. So no, it's not diverse.

Rural King High Shipping Costs Ruin Great Deal on Trampoline at Rural King

I've been a fan of Rural King for a while now, and I have to say, they usually have some great deals. But during the lockdown, they had a sale that really caught my eye - a 14ft trampoline for only $199! I knew my daughter would love it, especially since she's turning 11 next week and we're all stuck at home.

Unfortunately, when I went to my local store, they didn't have any trampolines in stock and said they weren't getting any more. So I decided to try ordering one online. And boy, was I in for a surprise.

First of all, the trampoline itself was a steal at $199. But when I went to check out, I was hit with a shipping cost of $244! That's more than the cost of the trampoline itself! I couldn't believe it.

I understand that shipping costs money, but $244 seems a bit excessive. I mean, it's not like I was ordering a car or something. And with all the other taxes and fees, the total cost came out to over $500. That's just not feasible for me right now.

I really wanted to give my daughter something fun to play on during this lockdown, but it looks like that's not going to happen. I wish there was a way to have the trampoline delivered to the local store for an in-store pickup, either for free or for a small fee. That would have made things a lot easier and more affordable for me.

Overall, I still like Rural King and will continue to shop there. But I hope they can find a way to make their shipping costs more reasonable in the future.

Rural King Disappointing Online Ordering Policy: My Experience with Rural King

I gotta say, I'm pretty darn disappointed with Rural King's online ordering policy. My family and I were trying to stay safe and avoid going out too much, so we decided to place an order online. We were charged the full amount on our credit card, but then out of nowhere, they canceled our order! Can you believe it? I was so frustrated that I had to call customer service, and let me tell you, I was on hold for an hour and 25 minutes! When I finally got through, all they could say was "sorry about that," and that they must have run out of stock. Well, that's just great. Now we're scrambling to find the item elsewhere, but it looks like we won't be able to get it in time for Christmas. Other suppliers have it, but the shipping is just too slow. I don't think I'll be ordering from Rural King again after this. This isn't the first time they've really messed things up for us, and they don't even offer anything to make up for all the inconvenience. It's just poor customer service all around. I will say, though, that the actual customer service agent I spoke to was very understanding and professional.

Rural King Disappointing Experience with Rural King's Online Store: Out of Stock Item and Delayed Refund

I recently had an experience with Rural King that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I decided to purchase a Husqvarna mower from their website, ruralking.com, as they claimed it was in stock. However, after waiting for a week and checking the status of my order online, I was surprised to see that my order didn't exist.

I immediately contacted their customer service team via email to inquire about the issue and find out what went wrong. To my dismay, I was informed that they were out of stock and the item was on backorder with no estimated time of arrival. They also mentioned that it would take 10 business days before I could receive a refund so I could purchase another mower elsewhere.

This situation has caused me a lot of inconvenience as I am now paying someone to mow both my yard and my daughter's yard. In my opinion, I should have been refunded immediately when they discovered they were out of stock. It's frustrating that I had to chase them down for an answer and that my money left my account immediately, but they can't refund me immediately for their error.

Overall, I am disappointed with my experience with Rural King and I don't think I will be doing any more business with them, whether it's online or at their local store. It's a shame because I had heard good things about them, but this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Rural King Rural King Review: Great In-Store Experience, But Website Needs Improvement

Been shopping at Rural King for over 10 years now. It's my go-to store for all my horse needs. Sometimes, I don't have any other option but to shop here because there aren't any other suppliers in the area. Most of the time, I can find what I need for my two horses. But, let me tell you, ordering from their website is a nightmare. It's like they haven't updated it since the 90s! It takes me at least 5 minutes just to order one item and even then, it's not always correct. There have been times when I've ordered something and the website didn't put the right number of items in my cart. Other times, it's told me that there's no inventory of what I'm trying to order, even though I've seen it in the store. And don't even get me started on the error codes I've gotten when trying to pay with my credit card. It's like they don't want my money! Rural King, please, I'm begging you, update your website! It's the 21st century, your website should reflect that!
