I did a booking with expedia for the AI flight to fly to London one day prior to my flight. I received the confirmation but at the time of web check in I find that the booking has not been done with AI. I called the customer helpline and they said they cant do anything and hung up on me. I called the main office in America and waited for 40 mins no one answered. At the end, I had to book another flight. I will file acase against this company and will go to the media.They have zero per cent support system....

On January 31, 2014, I received an email from Expedia confirming my reservation on Sun Country Airlines to San Francisco, arriving before noon on June 10th..


On March 11, 2014 I received the following message via a phone call:

I called Expedia this morning to use my non-refundable credit towards a flight. I get connected to a Cairo Egypt Expedia Representative who books me a flight to Washington DC instead of Washington Seattle. Here is how I found out that this is a mistake. I go into my RBC VISA online and check if I was charged right away after the first phone call. Guess what? AirCanada charges my card right away. An hour later, I get a phone call from the Expedia Representative again asking me for my VISA information. I booked a trip to Cancun back in december 2013 for the family. I purchased The insurance for the trip as well. We had to cancel the trip and so I called Expedia to get my refund for hotel and airfare. To date I have not received my refund for $1, 900 dollars. Note: the following deals solely with international flights - I have no experience or opinion re: Expedia.com for domestic flights, hotels, etc.

Speaking recently with an Expedia manager (I'll call her "K") over the phone, I asked her if she could identify ANY benefit of booking with Expedia versus through the airline directly. Her answer tells you everything you need to know about this business: no. So, should you book your flights through Expedia? Well, take K's word for it.

I had to cancel my flight due to a death in my family and Expedia kept all money and offered me a $75.00 credit towards future travel with in a year. I called them back after a month and spoke to a woman named Edison #ID 082326 from the Phillipines. She kept me on the phone for 50 minutes! She obviously had no clue as to what she was doing. Expedia - Cancelled my reservation without warning even though I had paid in full

I made a hotel reservation through Expedia and paid in full. The day before I was to check in I called the hotel to confirm only to discover that Expedia had cancelled my reservation for no reason, I contacted Expedia, they had no explanation, had me on the phone for over an hour, mostly on hold before they hung up on me. Then they had the nerve to send me a questionnaire to rate the hotel, I will never, ever use them again, they did nothing to resolve this issue, they did refund my money but 700 miles from home I had to scramble to find another place to stay....

Best Western Puls Inn of Willams(Arizona) charged the amount of $166.84 to my credit card account.
They said I had a guaranteed reservation made through Expedia for 8/5/2013. Reservation number CRS#418500295.
But I didn't make this reservation. I couldn't find any evidence of before mentiond reservation.(email confirmation etc)

I recently changed duty stations to Japan to serve with the Marines. My flight there involved staying overnight in Seattle before flying on to Japan. I reserved a room through Expedia the week prior for this night. Initially, I selected the wrong night on the website. Despite the "no cancellation" policy, I immediately called Expedia to inform them of the booking mistake, and the lady was kind enough to correct the reservation to the correct night (one night earlier).

So I have booked hotel from, Expedia for my vacation for ooty India. We reached hotel sharp at 12 pm. And we were aghast to know that hotel person said we are not allowed to checkin.they said they have already informed Expedia about the same.they said Expedia has to give some money to hotels which is pending since some months. Requested a hotel as close as possible with shuttle service to arrowhead stadium. Was booked a hotel that was said by agent as well as stated on line to be 5.58 miles from the stadium. Was also told this hotel has shuttle service to stadium. When I called the hotel prior to arrival I was told by hotel that this hotel is 30mins away from stadium and does not provide shuttle service due to too far away. I booked a hotel in the Philippines through Expedia. Understanding their cancelation policy I had 24 hours before the date of my booking to cancel. Being that I had no intention of canceling my booking I didn't worry about it. But the day before I was set to leave for the Philippines I decided to confirm my booking. They told me that I myself had logged on and cancelled my booking. I told them that was ridiculous, I never logged on other than when I called for customer service. I paid for a flight from Naha to Phuket in November of 2011..Hours after I had booked the flight I no longer needed to make the trip, so I called up expedia "customer service" and inquired to the posibility of a refund".

Expedia - Overcharging - discrepencies between invoice/receipt amount and actual amount charged to Credit card

I recently booked 4 return tickets (2 bookings) from Malaysia to USA through expedia, it was a Malaysian site, so charges was in Malaysian Ringgit.

Gosh, when I received my credit card statement, the actual charges was higher than that quoted and printed on the receipt.

I contacted the bank and was told that Expedia claimed their charges in USD, ALTHOUGH IT WAS EXPLICITLY AND DEFINITELY QUOTED IN THEIR FINAL CHARGES THAT THE TOTAL CHARGES WAS ALREADY CHARGED TO MY CARDS IN RINGGIT.

So, it seemed that that Expedia will definitely make extra money by charging...

On November 18, I used the Expedia website to book a hotel room for November 20, 2012. To do so, there's a start date calendar one clicks to select the date. I selected November 20, 2012 and the end date field automatically set to November 21. I confirmed this and my card was charged.
