Duracell - Very Frequent Leaking batteries

I was always a big admirer of the Duracell. I always prefer to buy these expensive batteries over the cheap ones, just for the simple reason that they are long living and has some reputation of LEAK-PROOF.
I noticed first leak in the sealed pack itself. They were AAA batteries.
Then I saw leak in my remote AC. But I thought that because it was in basement and the conditions are a little harsh, may be thats why they leaked. But mind it that we use that remote almost 3-4 days a week.
Third instance I noticed them leak made me fume. I am watching my TV almost 350 days an year....

Complaint Rating: 100 % with 1 votes
I bought a 16 count package of Duracell 312 hearing aid batteries. So far, 7 out of 11 of them have quit working in 2 - 3 days. And they are leaking! I called the customer service phone number only to be told that it wasn't "battery acid" and they would send me a coupon for replacements. The $10 off coupon didn't cover the cost and who wants to use more of a product they don't trust. I'm afraid that these leaking batteries will ruin my $$$expensive hearing aids....

Duracell - Pennsylvania, East Stroudsburg - Leakage

WARNING for all Duracell batteries from AAA to D size. I have purged my entire electronic equipment of all duracell batteries. They now destroyed another piece of equipment through the failure of leakage. Even prior to the expiration date on the side. I've lost an expensive Nikon SB Flash to quality flashlights to clocks. They don't seem to be able keep their chemicals inside and the leakeage has destroyed my hard earned equipment and electronics. Their failure rate is extremely high compared to the other brands. What seems to be the problem? The part everyone will encounter is the equipment...

Complaint Rating: 100 % with 2 votes
I ordered a Duracell 600 Watt Powerpack from Duracell Direct.com and received it on 7/26/2011. As I was reading the manual, and on page 3 is the material list where they tell you to check it off and if there’s anything missing, to contact Customer Service on page 46. PROBLEM #1: Well the DC charging cable was missing so I checked the unit to see if there was a storage compartment, which there is none. So on 7/27/2011, I called the Customer Service. PROBLEM #2: The Customer Service Rep. said, “He can’t help me. You need to call the place I bought it from”. I told him the maual...

I had bought 8Nos of DURACELL AA batteries expiring in 2013. I had fixed 4 batteries on my SLR a few weeks back. When I tried to use the camera it was not working. When I opened the battery compartment, I find that the DURACELL batteries have leaked & the camera is damaged beyond repair. I have the other 4 batteries in their original packing & I find that these DURACELL batteries have also leaked. I had made a customer complaint & since P&G wanted to collect the proof & evidences without a commitment, I refused to send the leaked batteries in the original packing & the damaged camera. It is interesting...

I found the following:

1. Two leaking double AA batteries in a Force FX collector’s edition Light...

Duracell - California - Leaking

I have been buying Duracell batteries for 30 years. Over the past 2 years their product quality has fallen to a level they were at 30 years ago. I bought the product and reccomended it to others because it lasted longer, and did not leak. The past 2 years has proven to me that Duracell is no longer a trusted product. The Durability is GONE. Leaking battery has destroyed a $400 tool when the battery was only for a light in the tool. There have been so many of the Duracell batteries leaking in my equipment that I would rather purchase a product that does not last as long over one that will destroy...

I have purchased Duracell batteries in a 6 AA size batteries pack. The price of these batteries is more than 3 times as compared to normal batteries. But i bought these batteries for my digital camera thinking that it will last long. But hardly after 25-30 shots first 2 batteries got exhausted. Second 2 batteries exhausted even before 25 shots. I inserted the last 2 batteries, and shot 2-3 photographs and kept the camera at home. After 15-17 days when i tried to click photo, camera was not operating. When i checked, i found that one of the batteries have got leaked.

I have never expected...
