After being transferred and given 6 different numbers to call I finally spoke with a human that told me he was sending a email that would take 30 minutes to receive to begin the process PROCESS There wasn't a process of you receiving my money Wait here's the BEST PART THEY HAVE A PIC OF THE DELIVERY ON THE WRONG PORCH Question: Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? What CREDENTIALS were required to achieve employment? Nevermind... Just Kindly Refund My Money Thanks

Big Lots Great employees!

I purchased a Hoover Windtunnel and within the week the motor burned out. Talked to a young man in the Independence, MO Noland Rd Store and he was most helpful, polite and well informed. I returned the vacuum with no hassle and am very pleased with the way the store handled this. Each visit to the store I was surrounded by nice, well groomed, courteous employees and they did everything to make my shopping pleasant. I do not think this is the "ordinary" way people are treated in most retail stores. A big thank you to "Mike", the manager, and the employees for this excellent service. In addition the store was very clean and well organized.

Big Lots Jeanne Flener-Great Customer Service

I was at the Dalton, GA Big Lots on September 11th shopping for book shelves for my Mother's home and Ms. Jeanne Flener went out of her way to help my sister and me as we shopped. There were several shelving units on sale that day, and the one that we wanted was not marked. She not only tracked down the sale price, but lifted the bulky item into the cart for us and double checked with the cashier to be sure it rang up at the sale price, (it was buy one, get one half price). Her genuine kindness and attention to detail is not something I would have expected from a discount store, but was pleasantly surprised to find. Thanks again Jeanne, your the best! Kristin Moran

Big Lots BIG Coverage Plan Equals NIghtmare

I purchased a $500 couch for the youth room at my church. I decided to purchase the coverage plan for $54.99 since the kids would probably give it some tough use. Big Lots is not the problem; it's the warranty company. It's been a nightmare trying to get it "registered!" It said you could do it online... nope, gave me an error message every time. Calling ***770 got me no where also! Big Lots customer service sent me to Warrentech and I've conversed through email. They keep telling me that the pictures of the receipts I'm sending them are incorrect. My advice on buying cheap furniture is to skip that coverage plan if you want to save yourself a lot of frustration!

Big Lots Awesome items

Bought a bedframe And memory foam mattress, The bedframe is stylish and great Sturdy quality, The memory foam mattress was a bit pricey but cheaper than others, it is awesome Super comfy, I see a lot of bad reviews on the furniture but to be honest the wood furniture from big lots It's low-quality that's why it's so cheap and you can see it for yourself at the store you just Gotta be the judge of what you buy by examining it, do you want good quality furniture you would have to pay thousands of dollars at a furniture store that will solve your problem, Need furniture for a few years then big lots your store just don't expect it to last more than five years on every day use.

Big Lots Outstanding customer service!

I just got off the phone after speaking with [protected]@ Big Lots in Statesville, NC. I'm fairly new to the area but have stopped at this store several times and I have always been waited on by Lori. Her service was always quick, friendly and curtious. Even when she had another customer she said she would be just a few min. Or she'd call someone else to help me. I knew from my first encounter, she was worth the wait. Even while she was helping the customer I could tell that she really knew what she was doing, was well trained and had a genuine caring, helping and respectful nature. Lori would answer all your questions plus give extra info about the furniture and ads going on and how to get the best price. She was also good at requesting some item I might like to accessorize without sounding pushy. She has been a joy to work with and speak with. Lori is a great asset to your company and I would love for her to be recognized for her great work and great customer care. Thank you, Judi Hopper

Big Lots The $2 charge for no reason.

I remember having my account close because big lots was closing up.? Out of business who knows. Anyway, my account close so payoff balance and that's the end of it. Oh no! I get a bill for $2. Why? When you close the store my account close too. Never complance about [a[er charger. But thiis is pulling wool over my eyes. I will contact better business next to know customer rights. We can talk like people and see work this out.

Big Lots San marino 10 x 12 ft hard top wood gazebo & customer service

Dear Big Lots Customer Service,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to address several issues with my recent purchase of the Broyhill 10' x 12' San Marino Hard Top Wood Gazebo, purchased on July 13, 2024, from the Big Lots store located at 700 Blanding Blvd Ste 1, Orange Park, FL (Order Number ORD4223922686). I am seeking a constructive resolution to these problems which have led to significant inconvenience and additional costs.

Detailed Account of Events:

Purchase and Delivery:

On July 13, 2024, I purchased the gazebo from your Orange Park store with the intention of picking it up there after being advised to purchase online for a 20% discount.

I did not receive an email receipt and was informed that it would be provided upon delivery. However, the delivery on July 17, 2024, did not include a receipt.

Installation Issues:

On July 19, 2024, contractors from Ace Handyman of Jacksonville Beach began the installation but found that all hardware was missing. I contacted Big Lots and was advised by Tina to pick up a replacement gazebo kit from the store at 9625 Crosshill Blvd, Ste. 119, Jacksonville, FL 32222.

The contractors resumed work but were halted by a thunderstorm.

Further Complications:

On July 23, 2024, the contractors returned to find that the flashing provided was the same length for all sides, contrary to the instructions. Additionally, the replacement kit included parts that were incorrect in size and quantity, extending the installation time beyond the initial estimate.

By July 24, 2024, I still had not yet received my receipt via email. I called customer service and placed a request.

July 31, 2024, I received my receipt via email.

Customer Service Challenges:

Despite calling the Crosshill Blvd store July 24th and then making an in-person visit on Aug 6th, I was informed each time they were unable to assist with obtaining replacement parts due to stock issues. I was directed instead to contact Sunjoy, who then directed me back to the store. This ongoing back-and-forth has been quite frustrating.

The contractors were originally hired to work 7 hours. However, the delays incurred from trying to piece together an incomplete kit more than doubled that time and brought the final total to $3,600, while I paid $1,268.45 for the gazebo and 2-year warranty.

Resolution Requested:

Given the inconvenience, lack of adequate customer service, and the additional expenses incurred, I respectfully request one of the following resolutions:

Provision of the correct parts to complete the gazebo and a restitution of $2,000 for the extra hours our contractors spent due to issues with the parts, or

A full refund for the gazebo $1,268.45, removal of the incomplete structure, and restitution of $3,600 for the contractors' hours worked.

My family and I have had such positive experiences with Broyhill products in the past, I am hopeful that we can resolve this matter satisfactorily.

You’ve certainly handled this situation with persistence—could've been worse if you hadn’t kept such detailed records. It’s almost like you’ve taken on a second job as a project manager just to get this gazebo sorted out. Hopefully, Big Lots steps up and turns this around, so you can finally enjoy that outdoor space without the extra drama.

Big Lots Blatant racism

On a previous date about a year ago I posted a complaint about the stores employees electing to take it upon them selves to harass their African American employees as well as their African American customers who shop in their store. My young daughter who had been employed there for a short time experience their white female members electing to harass her for no other reasons but the color of her skin. I've lived in Bradenton for more than 3 years and quickly discovered that the community of Bradenton has about 60% white and 40% other however, Biglots tend to reject non white members in their community and that's not excluding Biglots by not hiring African Americans, harassing and eventually swiftly firing their African Americans employees they have had in the past. I my self as an African American woman and a Teacher of social etiquette who have witness this type of racism at the stores location in Bradenton Florida Biglots on several different occasions with their employees not excluding a significant event occurring on today 02/03/2021 at 1:00 pm. The last bad review that was posted by me was for reasons that several white female employees at this location elected to take it upon them selves to promptly follow me around the store while one at a time poking fun at my grandson who was in the basket that I was pushing around. One such remark was in regards to my grandson and how they wanted him to so that he could serve them as their slave. Once these remarks were made other white female employees elected to stand on the next ils laughing at the disrespectful remark that was made to me about my African American grandson. One of these employee was found employed at a nearby Goodwill where I visited. Once she recognized my face she did follow me around at this store again in a quiet rage as her face appeared dissatisfied with my presents there. It was because of her fast snappy movements, slick way in which she spoke while looking into my face I noticed her standing near by. Few years later I walk into Biglots this same location in Bradenton Florida *** Cortez Rode location and there she was again sitting outside of the location with a Biglots uniform on. Soon she began to follows me with her eyes into the store and there she was again walking back and forth past me with her hands behind her back staring in my direction from across the store then again inches from me on the same isle. All the other employees seam to be busy stacking product but this woman. I arrived and approached the check out lady at the counter when she came out of nowhere to swiftly take over the register and take my order. I look up and realized it was her again. I decided to move over to the only other check out person besides her and waited for her to complete her previous order when this lady came over to me again but this time she wanted to take my order as she ask " are you ready to check out?" I politely replied " No mam, I'm not ready to check out" in the hopes that she would go away. Although their were other customers behind me she continued to linger around so much so that I decided to take a closer look at her badge to get her name that read ( Brenda). She was a tall slinger white woman with long gray hair insisting on metaling in so sort of racist obsession however, calmed down because she had been aware of the nearby surveillance camera now capturing her images.

Big Lots Non delivery

I bought a folding table from big Lots not realizing that somew scammers impersonated the website at crazy low prices.

After following the tracking of said item,It claimed thet it had been delivered.

Unfortinatly I realized that I had been scammed.

I AM NOW WARNING BUYERS WHO SEE ADDS FOR CRAZY DISCOUNTS ON FACEBOOK TO ABSOLUTLY DO NOT BUY FROM ANY DISCOUNT SALES ON FACEBOOK BECAUSE THEY ARE SCAMMERS WHO WILL POCKET YOUR MONEY AND GIVE YOU NOTHING!

Big Lots Delivery service

I ordered a chair for my husband for Christmas and paid $99 for same day delivery. They said that it would be at my house between 9am and 9pm on the 24th I believe due to the time I ordered. so I canceled all my plans for Christmas Eve and stayed home waiting for my Christmas present for my husband. At 8:55 I get a text saying sorry you have to reschedule delivery, no explanations as to why just reschedule. I went in and had to reschedule for the day after Christmas. So not only did I give up being with my family on Christmas Eve, I had not gift for my husband. When I put in a complaint they told me basically that it's not labeled as Same day delivery fees and that pretty much they delivered it so I should be happy and that that's what the fee was because they delivered as promis. Now if you go in and look at the form you fill out for ordering online it says Same day delivery $99. I'm pretty discusted that I was pushed aside and pretty much told hey you should be happy we even delivered it, they didn't say that but that was how it felt. I asked for a refund because I didn't receive same day delivery but more like 3 day delivery and I was denied because I received it. Oh I almost forgot, the box it came in was destroyed... the product wasn't damaged though

Big Lots Cashier and manager at River Oaks Location in Calumet City Il 60409

My husband and i were shopping in this store and altho it was very message and chaotic we were able to look around and purchase some items.

The problem came in when i came up to the register without and kind of signage as to how to place things on the counter to pay for them a cashier Danai (Da Da Ya) not sure if im saying this correctly but she was very rude and scolding me . I am 66 years old completely an adult and reasonable person and do not need a cashier at the register telling me to remove my items off the counter and stop hovering over the lady who had just completed a purchase. I do believe i was being racially profiled by this cashier. I was insulted and taken aback by the treatment she then called security because i suggested a sign that tells people not to put items on the counter until they say its ok. Manager came to the front and was curt and just as angry as the cashier. I will never shop there again i am hurt and offended by the treatment i got there and all other customers black people were being treated with kind words and thank you when leaving while i got an arguement I m not sure how far i will take this that is up to you. Big Lots Bradford tan rocker recliner

November 4th, the recliner I bought at big lots has broken. I took out an extended warranty. They told me to contact manufacturer. The right side feels like it's caving in and foot rest doesn't extend properly. We bought it July 28th at Big Lots, I tried contacting All-State and was told to contact manufacturer. It cost $459.99 plus $54.99 for extended warranty. I sent pictures

The Big Lots store at 117372 Princeton Pike in Cincinnati, Ohio, has substandard working conditions that pose a health risk to both customers and employees due to high levels of glue fumes. The district manager, Beth Grham, has been notified of this issue but has not taken any action to resolve it. We urge her to experience those working conditions herself and see if she would find them acceptable.

Big Lots Jade at store #4718 and manager Arianne

So i went into your store today 9/12/23 as my daughter moved into her 1st apartment. I had many items from the home section in my cart. These 2 ladies along w one other come down the aisle and ask if I needed another cart? I respond no thank you as I need to go through and eliminate some items. The problem occurred when i went to check out. I purchased some items for my ofc and needed to pay for them seperatly as I have to turn in work receipts for reimbursement & didnt want all my other items on that receipt. So i seperate and pay. All fine at this point. I tell the cashier that im taking these items out and grabbing my baby and ill be right back in for my cart. As I am walking out Jade says “what shes not getting any of these”, & the cashier responds and says she said she will be back. And Jade very rudely and condescensing says, “ no she wont”. So I turn around and say, who said I wouldnt be back? She says I did as her and the “manager” are pushing my carr away that I spent over an hour shopping for. I say dont put my stuff back. I walk to my car very upset, shaking and in disbelief that these employees are being so rude & blatent w disrespect to a good paying customer. So I walk back in confirm Arianne is the “manager” and inform them I would be calling corparate. Jade tells me thanks for wasting our time, and our wait, do you want corporates number? Ill get it for you, in a condescending way as if she feels she is untouchable. I tell Arianne so its okay for your employees to talk to customers like this. She replies you didnt give me a chance to say anything. But yet she allows her to stand at the register I am at. Getting a refund bcz at this point I am sick to my stomach over the encounter, shaking and refuse to support a store with employees like this. In the pictures below you will see my original receipt and the refund. Jade your employee stood in my face very intimidating and laughed at me for asking for a refund, and I honestly feel threathend.& afraid. I cant believe I went in to decorate my daughters first apartment and left the way I did. Its truly a big loss as I do all the shopping for the Fortune 500 company I work for in all 50 states. I cannot support this company & I truly hope this employee is reprimanded as well as the manger. If these were my employees they would be looking for another place of employement.

Big Lots Big lots furniture online and big delivery service

I purchased a sofa and recliner online from Big Lots. I included the Big Delivery Serice that costs $149.00. They were suppose to contact me and schedule an appointment for delivery. This never happened. They just showed up and left the items in my living room. The plastic was still on the sofa but you could see the dust cover had tears. They just left snapping one quick picture to prove they delivered it. (This is Ryder). When I took the plastic off the sofa I discovered that the sofa had been badly damaged. There was holes with fraying in the fabric, a 3-4 inch gash in the side, a whole in the top, and metal sticking out of the side. I called Big Lots to file a complaint. It was Thursday and they said they they would esculate it to a specialist and I'd been contacted in1-2 business days. They requested pictures which I promptly sent. The following day, Friday, I get an email stating that they couldn't discount a sofa due to dust cover damage as that is only cosmetic. I was infuriated. I called again and was told to send the photos again. I promptly did so and almost immediately got another email stating the same info.. I called again and was told they didn't get the photos and couldn't view them because the file was too large and told to downsize the pics and resend. This I did and was told they did get them this time. Each time I called I was reassured theis was being escalated to the specialist and that they would process a refund. 4 days have now passed and despite 7 phone call to Big Lots Customer Service, I'm getting the same run around when I call and informed it will take 1 -2 business days and they are esculating it to a specialist. In the meantime, I have my old furniture in my living room space cause I was not contacted about delivery. I have the sofa they brought that looks like it went thru a war zone and all my other furniture in my dining room and down my hall and in my bedroom and cannot even walk thru my living room and can't do a thing to resolve this problem. I am at my wits end and cannot believe a large company like Big Lots can't resolve this problem. I fear I will have to hire someone with a truck to take it to a Big Lots store 30 -40 minutes away to return it. Absolutely a nightmare of a customer experience. DO NOT BUY FURNITURE ONLINE from Big Lots and do not choose the Big Delivery option. I was told today that they can't refund the delivery fee cause that was with a third party. You have got to be kidding me...

Desired outcome: I've demanded a full refund...for the sofa and the Big Delivery. If they don't respond by tomorrow, I will demand they come pick this up NOW. I can't live with this mess and be put off 1 -2 more days. This is insanity.

Big Lots Everything

First of all the humidity in the building has everyone including customers sweating bullets! No one can work faster in those conditions! It’s just uncomfortable especially for the people unloading the trucks! Just very hot in the building! We were told that corporate wanted the temperature to remain untouched to save money..ridiculous! People are going to start calling out because the heat is uncomfortable to work in! Especially when it’s equally hot outside. Also some of us were told to wear jeans and not leggings however some people are wearing leggings anyway and the managers are letting it slide but if certain others were leggings they get called out. Also we were unaware that we could wear skirts but one of the newer employees wears skirts and it wasn’t until she wore one that the manager said it was okay on register only but what if it’s a skort? I need answers as to why some employees get to wear what they want and others can’t? I even saw one employee with a crop top on! No one said anything to her about.

Desired outcome: Nothing has changed

Big Lots Terrible Experience with BigLots! Manager in Las Vegas - A Full-Blown Racist Incident

I recently had a terrible experience with BigLots! at their location on 8570 Blue Diamond Rd in Las Vegas, NV. The supposed manager, Mike, messed up my entire order and sent it to California instead of my address. I had to call the corporate office over 10 times to try and sort out the issue, but unfortunately, the couple of representatives I spoke to were nice but not very helpful.

I ended up having to order the same furniture from a different location and pay an extra $300. To make matters worse, the other furniture I had ordered was cancelled, and they only refunded me a partial amount of the money. It has been a nightmare trying to get my money back, and I have a claim number of ***-***.

When I was finally sent back to Mike, he assured me that if I hadn't stolen the furniture, he would refund my money. He made a phone call to check if the furniture was still there while I waited and watched him. This was a full-blown racist incident, and I am not done with this. BigLots! needs to take responsibility for allowing people like Mike to work for them.

I give BigLots! a rating of 0 because why would anyone want to shop here if they allow people like Mike to work for them? I told each representative I spoke to that I had just had a brain aneurysm and had been on the phone for days and hours trying to fix this issue. It's unacceptable that I had to go through all of this trouble just to get my money back.

Big Lots Disappointed with Big Lots: Expired Cookies and Rude Manager

Been shopping at Big Lots for over 20 years now and I even got their credit card. I went to the Kissimmee, Florida store #5156 on 6/27/2022 to buy some patio furniture but they said they didn't have it in stock. I was bummed out because I drove 32 miles one way, that's 64 miles round trip. But I didn't want to go home empty-handed so I grabbed some snacks like chips, cookies, and women's nail accessories. When I got home, I was excited to try the Archway soft Oatmeal Raisin Cookies but to my surprise, they were expired! I was so disappointed and called the store right away to talk to the manager, Melisa. But she was so rude and belligerent, it made me even more upset.

I decided to take it up with the corporate office and called ***803 but no one picked up the phone after an hour of waiting. I tried calling their other number, ***800, but it just transferred me to another number, ***687, and still no one answered. It was such a waste of time and I felt like Big Lots didn't care about their customers.

I lost $3.29 on those cookies and about 2 gallons of gasoline. But Big Lots lost an old faithful customer. It's such a shame because I used to love shopping there but now I don't think I'll ever go back. They have no integrity and it's full of crooks. I would advise everyone to stay away from them.

Big Lots Terrible Customer Service and Communication from BigLots and Ryder Last Mile

I had a really bad experience with BigLots! I bought a sectional online and Ryder Last Mile tried to deliver it. But they couldn't get it upstairs and ended up causing a lot of damage to my home. I reported it right away and Big Lots asked for pictures, which I sent them. But then they just kept transferring me to different departments and I couldn't get anyone to help me.

I left voicemails and sent emails to Ryder Last Mile, but they never called me back. And when I called Big Lots Customer Care, they just kept transferring me to different departments like Claims, Escalations, Support Center, Omni, Tier 2, and Supervisor Line. But I couldn't get anyone on the phone to help me.

I even emailed Big Lots again, but they didn't respond. And when I called Customer Care again, they transferred me to the Support Center where I was on hold for 25 minutes and counting. It was so frustrating and nothing was getting done.

I spoke with Terry at Customer Care/Big Lots and he said "someone" will call me when they have information. But that was so unprofessional and unacceptable. I'm still getting the runaround from Big Lots and Ryder Last Mile and I can't get anyone to call me and communicate.

Overall, I'm really disappointed with my experience with BigLots! They need to improve their customer service and communication. I hope they can resolve my issue soon.

Big Lots BigLots! Website: A Frustrating Experience with Poor Customer Service and Inventory Control

This is my third time ordering from BigLots! this year and I gotta say, it's been a bit of a struggle. Every time I try to log onto my account, I get kicked off and have to start all over again. And don't even get me started on the cancelled items! I wasn't even notified about them, I had to keep logging on to check. And what's up with the promotional coupons? They should end when the store closes, not at 11:59 EST. Customer service closes then too, so you can't get any help and end up losing out on coupons. No matter how many times I close my browser, log on, or clean my cookies and history, the coupons just won't work.

My first two purchases took three whole days to complete. I was at war with the website, but somehow I won. Even the cancelled items magically appeared in two orders on the same day! So now I had another coupon and my birthday coupon to use. But when I kept shopping and editing my cart, the pop-up said I used both coupons, even though I never actually placed an order. Smoke was pouring out of my ears at this point. And to top it all off, my $10.00 birthday coupon was gone! Like, what the heck?

BigLots! website sucks! And to make matters worse, most of the stuff you can buy on their website, you can't even buy in one of their actual stores! They have the worst inventory control in any business I've ever dealt with. The stuff is great if you can actually get the items you paid for to ship to your home, which is why I keep trying again like a stupid idiot. But honestly, they get no star rating from me.

Big Lots Captivating and Heartfelt: A Review of The Fault in Our Stars

DO NOT EVER BUY FURNITURE FROM HERE! I bought furniture out of the whim, apparently without a cerebral mind working on BLACK FRIDAY! WHAT A SCAM OF DOLLAR STORE FURNITURE... Look, I was very reluctant to get furniture from this store, however I needed to get rid of my couch ASAP, which took over my better judgement. I wanted something cheap, that looked okay, because of my child. So I went to the store and found a couch and loveseat. Of course you want to purchase and leave, especially on Black Friday Weekend! Well I had my Couch delivered today, however the wrappers were not only left on, the furniture ' was not even right side up" which could have been damaged without knowledge, " the WORST WAS, IT WAS NOT PUT TOGETHER. " ARE YOU KIDDING", Now I guess I Should have realized why I was told too many times not too ever get furniture from there. I have so many pictures which will be public so you do not make the the same irresponsible, carefree, feckless, and fly-by -night mind, when you really need something that ended up being unpredictable, unreliable and untrustworthy in the horrendous situation and horrible predicament I am now in. JUST THINK BEFORE YOU THINK IT WORKS, AND REALIZE THE OTHER OPTIONS I HAD IF I TOOK ONE OR TWO MORE DAYS TO RATIONALLY EVALUATE THE STATS RATIONALLY AND RESPONSIBLY...
