Purchases of canvas prints were paid for and ordered beginning of December for Christmas presents. These were due for delivery 3-5 days later. Over four weeks later nothing has been sent and the c0mpany are not answering calls or returning messages, ignoring emails and text messages. Eventually had text message from owner who on two seperate occasions said the canvases were being sent special delivery that day after waiting in for delivery they did not arrive. They offer special offers on sites such as KGB and Wowcher but do not deliver the goods and ignore all complaints sent. No customer services to contact and owner will only reply to text messages when he feels like it and uses the excuse he is busy! Offers are too good to be true to beware.

I have sent over 70 text messages to him (owner) now, some of which he replies to but others he completely ignores. He told me that he posted them on Tuesday using parcel force 48 hrs delivery but the tracking number he gave is not regognised and he says he can't give me a copy of his receipt as its unreadable! I posted a comment on KGB facebook page and they quickly got in touch with me. This company is still advertising this offer now and they haven't even sorted out the orders from the beginning of December. I to am not giving up, I enter a contract for this product at that price and thats what I want. KGB have offered me a refund however that doesn't cover 2 mornings off work and untold telephone calls. I will keep you posted if I have any luck would be interesting to hear if you do to.

Wow I didn't realise so many people would have responded to my complaint...what a total scammer. I contacted trading standards in Leicester to report this guy. They said that if they had more complaints they would investigate fully so please contact them. Unfortunately I don't have the number in front of me however I will repost it later on today. My concern is that my canvas has a picture of three small children on a beach, he says this has been printed and has been sent...where is it? the parents of the children whom it was a present for are now very concerned it will fall into the wrong hands. Thanks everyone for commenting and hopefully we will save others from losing out to this low life.

Jan 23, 2011 5:43 pm EST

I have spoken to KGB recently and directed them to this complaints board. It seems they are having trouble contacting him also and they say they are taking their investigations into him seriously. I have opted for the refund as the two canvas I bought were Christmas presents and I am so embarrashed that they have had to wait for so long I have bought something else instead. KGB also informed me that the only money Vcreates Prints have received is for the actually canvases that have been delivered, they hold back the money until there is proof of them being received. I have also lodged a complaint with Leicester Trading Standards and hope that all this publicity stops this guy cheating others.

Update by Marlene1
Jan 24, 2011 1:36 pm EST

I stand by everything I have said in my posts. Mr Cartwright is a liar who promised me on two separate occasions that he had personally taken my canvases to the post office to send by special delivery and that I should wait in the next day (taking two mornings off work) as they would be delivered...they never showed up! The tracking number he gave was false, he made excuse after excuse when I asked him to scan me a copy of the receipt of postage stating that the quality of the paper was poor and he couldnt scan it to me, when I asked him on over 20 separate occasions for an email with the details of where they were posted from he never sent it. I even expressed my concern that the canvas photo was of three small children on a beach and how the children's parents were upset that this photo could fall into the wrong hands as Mr Cartwright had said it was printed, he did not even have the decency to respond to my worries and so I am left with upset parents wanting to know where the picture of their children is. No Mr Cartwright you should be ashamed of YOURSELF...you have left people without Christmas presents, left parents worried about the location of pictures of their children, lost me time off work and cost myself and others money and time chasing you for answers whilst being ignored or fobbed off with lies. Have you ever heard of honest is the best policy, you may not of had so many irate customers if you had at least told the truth.

I agree we should all just try for refunds at this point. I've been reluctant to just take a refund as these were gifts which I had promised my girlfriend. I can not possibly get them printed at this price anywhere else.

This guy is a lowlife and really has ruined Christmas for a lot people.

I emailed KGB yesterday and they are sending me a refund in 3-4 working days, which I guess is good of them.
Im really annoyed, not just the fact i did not get the canvas, but the fact this idiot has a picture of my 6 year old daughter at his disposal.
It is disgraceful really and I hope the authorities really take some serious action against him...and soon to stop others falling for this shoddy scam.

I also have annoyed him today! just constantly sending the same text every 2 mins. He eventually text back with "stap bombarding my phone, if you want a refund you have to contact wowchert" so this proves he had no intention to send the sanvas anyway! i have now rung wowcher and they explained that they have paid upfront for a number of canvases (didnt give figures) and only 1/3 of people have had they ordrers, they have promised me they will refund me and are sending out emails to everyone who ordred through them tomorrow. He said they are trying to have him done for fraud as they have paid him in full. He said KGB are in a worse state because thay have ordered over 1000 canvases through him :-S this guy was very helpful and i have a glimmer of hope at getting my money back! YEY

What I dont get is why did KGB ever have anything to do with this idiot in the first place especially if he has had business' desolved previously. Do KGB not have any criteria to vet these idiots before they promote these too good to be true offers?

so if he is offering refunds, this proves that he has no intention of fulfilling the orders. Everyone should just get a refund and be done with him. I am going to complain to watchdog - I think if they get enough complaints they do look into it.

One thing he did say was that he hasn't got paid for the KGB orders and offered to refund me for my direct order through Paypal.

I'll let you know how that goes!

Think that's down to me!

I've just been texting him saying he's 'stolen people's Christmas presents' and that he's a 'liar' and a 'thief' etc.

He texted back telling me to 'grow up'.

I kept on. 'Scammer' etc.

Then he actually rang me. He kept trying to take over the conversation and fob me off with lies. I got into a blazing row with him (couldn't help lose my cool).

The bit I don't get is why would you even bother ringing or texting back? It's like he doesn't realise what he's done and feels persecuted!

Everyone contact Watchdog!

Yeah that is him. There is no shortage of information about him online.

Unfortunately is this is anything to go by, he has been involved in 4 companies which have been dissolved. If you look further up this thread you will find his home address too.

And he is also on FB: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/vaughan.cartwright

He seems to have some other printing business, diverse prints or something its mentioend in the above links somewhere
He seems to be a graphic designer rather than actually running a graphics business. Does this mean that he is actually the staff?

Hello,
I too am in the same position as you all, ordering on 9th December. I have just left a message on his mobile and I think I will do my best to annoy him if that's all I can do! I wouldn't be surprised if that number he claims is his new office number is charging pounds per minute. I am so angry with this loser Vaughan Cartwright and I hope he is having a hard time with all of us bugging him. I just sent a complaint to bbc watchdog, I hope you all will too as they might just do something about it if there are enough complaints.

Thanks for the update andrewjleckie . No surprises there then!

KGB have told me they cannot offer an alternative. I too am very disappointed, specially since I promised it as a gift to someone. They can only give a refund or suggest you hang in there and your order will turn up one day! I asked when that one day would be but they could not comment on timescale or dates. What rubbish, and what an idiot this guy at Vcreates is.

No one answers the phone so obviously he has no staff. How can all of us be calling all day and not one of our calls are answered. He has no business, no staff and no printing equipment. WHY does he just not say I CANNOT DELIVER and leave it at that, instead he continues to mess everyone around and continues to lie and make false promises.

He didn't call me back. He sent me a text claiming he had sent me an email which he hadn't. I told him I had no email from him and I didn't believe him. He texted again saying he would resend it and text me to tell me when he had done it. I have heard nothing from him for 24 hours since then despite multiple texts to him asking where my email is.

I think skhan123 is right and that he got himself in over his head with this and does not have the equipment to process the amount of orders he took.

I'm going to continue calling him and texting him today. I recommend you all do the same. His mobile phone number is [protected]

Has anyone actually spoken to any of the staff he claims exist on the new phone number from the website? He tried to tell me there are 3 people working there answering that number, I have never got anything but the voicemail.

Anyone had any contact with Vcreate in the last week or so? Are they allowed to state on one phone number that opening hours are 11-5pm and then on the other 10-5pm, as well as direct you to a website to contact them which is not in service?

I've submitted complaints via watchdog and the consumer direct links as well as several emails to KGB. KGB have offered to refund but i want the product after having to wait so long or at least an alternative place to get the same from. Has anyone been offered an alternative? I thought KGB had sent links to several canvas providers but i no longer have the emails?

Hey andrewjleckie, did he call you and what was the outcome. KGB have been very good, they have followed up and responded to my emails but he is still ignoring me. Also KGB are still giving the same excuses from last year - the weather has affected order delivery and staff is sick! I note someone who placed an order in November 2010 still hasnt received their canvas. How long is this sickness lasting, 2.5 months? And what weather conditions, worst of the weather hit us in Dec, and cleared by Jan. Every other business in the UK managed to fulfil most orders even during the worst of the weather. I reckon he does not have the equipment to print the canvases hence no orders being delivered. How long does it take to print a canvas and post it? 1 day I think. Have asked KGB for alternative deal or refund, so wont be out of pocket but extremely disappointed and inconvenienced.

I actually really wanted the canvas - its a present for somone and I know they have given one gift voucher as a present too - would be great if everyopne did contact trding standards about this - this guy needs to be investigated!

I have just text Mr Cartwright again asking for a refund, and stating that his business is one big scam. His reply " Please send an email with subject refund. There is no scam. Please quote your order number and how you made your purchase" i will do this but i think we all know that nothing will come of it. I am trying to get a refund through WOWCHER which is who i purchased the canvas off. Has anyone else bourght through this website/received any responce. Such a wate of time and money, i have complained to Lecister trading standards complaints online, i would suggust if you can to do the same.

Vcreates... a scam. Vcreates... complaints. Vcreates... Christmas misery.

(That's just to help other people search online. Seems there are quite a few of us.)

My story: I ordered three canvases, two through KGB on 9th December, one direct through Vcreates on Dec 13th. I was guaranteed delivery before Christmas. All I've had in return is hassle. Chasing my missing purchases and embarrassment at explaining to my parents where their Christmas presents are.

You're lucky if you get a reply to your email or your call answered. On 5th Jan, I managed to finally speak to someone there – I'm pretty sure it was Vaughan Cartwright, the person behind all this – and was told my canvases had been collected by the courier the night before, would be with me 'within 48 hours', and I should check my email for a tracking number.

Unsurprisingly, none of this happened.

So, not only has he got my money and provided the worst customer service available, but he's lied to me directly.

I texted him several times yesterday (his mobile number is [protected]), giving him 24 hours to get in touch and got fobbed off with 'I av ur previous txt drivin'.

Contacting Trading Standards and consumer websites is a great idea. I'm going to do that straight after emailing BBC Watchdog. I'd suggest anyone in a similar situation to do the same.

To be fair to KGB, they've offered me a refund for the two canvases bought through them, but that still leaves me chasing the third, having to arrange alternative, late Christmas presents and trying to account for all the time and money I've wasted on this con.

£19.99 was obviously too good to be true.

Me too! I have not received my print which is worrying as my young daughters are on it and the thought of somebody having access to this makes me soooooo angry. Its not even the point about not receiving Its the fact that I have no control over who/where this image ends up it makes me sick! I have since had my money refunded from kgbdeals that was the first time and the last time I will be dealing with KGB...

I am in the same boat as everyone else.
Ordered on the 7th of December and not had a word back from Mr Cartwright.
I have sent him more that 15 emails and I have contacted KGB via email at least 4 times.
Will now be seeking a refund via KGB. What a waste of time and effort

I just texted him telling him thanks for the scam and asking why he wouldn't answer his phone. He actually responded. "Many thanks for ya txt. Im nt at office. If u ring office number sombody will help. What scam? Loads of customers av ad there prints".

I responded letting him know that plenty of people complaining have his home address. He suddenly decided to return my call after that.

He claims he has been in contact with KGB today and that everything is being sorted out. I gave him my order numbers and he has promised to call me back with an update today. I'll let you know if I hear any more.

I would have just taken the refund offered by KGB however I also ordered one directly through him separately.

I had an email back from KGB last Friday which simply had been copied and pasted from the most recent email from vcreates explaining why they've struggled with orders (everyone off sick) and how they're dealing with the orders over the next 48 hours. Well... 48 hours has been and gone and i've still not received my email confirming despatch of my goods... the same thing i was promised before Christmas. I've gone back to KGB and asked them to check back to this page for a growing list of complaints against Vcreates.

I have had the same problem, ordered this as a birthday present and its been 2 weeks now and no order, no contact, no update. I would expect that KGB deals would take responsibility for this and that we should not have to chase Vcreates to this extent. Afterall it is KGB who promoted this business and offered them to its customers. Surely they cannot just promote any old rubbish and then wash their hands of everyone as soon as the money is in the bank. I have given up chasing Vcreates. I have sent KGB a complaint and will take this further should I not receive my canvas by the end of the week. Its not just about the money its the inconvenience and KGB rather than refunding every shoddy deal they put through should take responsibility and find an alternative for its customers. These websites are all the same, having the same problem with Groupon, not sure if they are the same site, but several of their deals have been cancelled by the service provider. Been chasing them for weeks for refunds as well. Only responded after I posted on their wall on FB!

so just to add the office address on his website is a lie (22 the fosse building, 1a tetuan road, leicester); its old and he's moved out 6 weeks ago. its been up for sale since beginning of december, so i suspect he's planned to scam a lot of people over christmas. his name is vaughan cartwright. his facebook login is - http://www.facebook.com/#!/vaughan.cartwright - so spread the word, and take a look at his picture. as mentioned on my last post, his personal address according to a directors search is 13 Earl Street, Earl Shilton, Leicester, Leicestershire, LE9 7AR.
