Aspen Dental - Bogas reference number from insurance provider, broken tooth, allegedly performed work that not need to be done.

On or about 17 Oct 22, I went in for an estimate of upper and lower dentures. I was referred to by my health care provider. I went to the office pain free. After the examinations I needed additional work at a cost of over 8,000.00 dollars. The doctor said I needed a root canal, needed my gold caps in the rear removed, and tooth in the front needed a cap. I instructed the office manager to call my insurance provider on what my cost would be. The reference number she gave me which she said would cover the work to be done. The number they provided is [protected] which was on 10/17/22. After the work was performed the office manager said it was not covered. I called my provider, and they said that they did not give me that number for authorization. The doctor performed a root canal, extracted two gold caps, and installed a cap on a front tooth. I asked the doctor if she was replacing my gold caps with gold caps and her reply was yes. Replacing a cap on the front tooth that she installed, and while trying to replace it with another cap she cracked the tooth. Now my lower denture does not fit. I asked for x-rays to verify the work performed. I took them to my doctor to verify the work and they could not see anything. I would like to be reimbursed for the money paid. I returned the dentures on 6 Jun 23 and they have yet to credit my account. Thank you

Desired outcome: Please refund all the money paid. The damage to the broken tooth and the lower denture no longer fit, I'm willing to let that go. I tried to work this out with the office. They failed to contact me.

I went for an estimate for an upper and lower denture. I ended up needing additional work totaling 8,000.00 dollars. They called my health care provider to get approval, they said they had an approval number which was bogus which I now have to pay. I asked for x-rays to verify the work that was performed. The x-rays that I received did not show anything. Why would they give me x-rays that didn't justify the work that needed to be done? This is not a good place to get any dental work done.
