Circle K - unruly assistany store manager

The assistant store manager, gerald, is consistently rude and often refuses to serve me when I go into the store. He often refuses lottery sales and tells me that's what the machine in the store is for to other customers, not just me. The only instances I have seen him act friendly is when his boss is in the store. He often parks his vehicle taking up handicapped spaces. Today, gerald didn't want to get the cigarettes I was there to buy. He said they were out unless the guys that worked the previous night found some he didn't know about. The brand I asked for has a special & were on display in plain sight. He just didn't want to get them. When I pointed out that they were on display and that I had asked for 2 (Not the 1 pack he grabbed) he decided to card me. I realize it's the law & have no issue with showing id, but he was doing it to inconvenience me and be rude. Since gerald has been at this store I have seen all of the employees attitude follow his. I have lived in this area for over 15 years and seen people come and go at this location. This is by far the absolute worst it has ever been! I am to the point that I am willing to drive farther and pay more to not have to deal with people like gerald. Sadly, I think a district manager was even in the store at the time! The woman interrupted my sale to discuss his smock and picking up some for his store. Is this how circle k runs it's stores? If so I can just boycot them all together. In this economy customer service should be a companies top priority. There is always another option especially in a major city such as albuquerque. Please look into this matter as these types of employees give your business a very bad name. Thank you.

I am an assistant store manager at Circle K. If you are having an issue with any Circle K employee you need to report it directly to the store manager. Or Call the complaint number. When you do this, it goes to the main office and is forwarded to that areas market manager. Then the market manager comes down on the store manager and so on and so forth. Your patronage is valued. If you have a problem they will fix it. Calling the complaint number is the best way to achieve your desired result. It sounds to me like this manager needs to get fired anyway. Here is your regions telephone number to the main office. As far as the complaint number, it should be posted outside of the store in question. Ph: [protected]
I do hope your issues get resolved. If not move to the Midwest. We are pretty much amazing. :)

LOL @ Albuquerque being viewed as a major city. We are a small to mid sized city at best and more like a large town. He does sound like a jerk though. I am tempted to make the drive over there to see this for myself. What race is he and are you? There is a lot of hate towards White folks in Albuquerque.
