Lowe's - New washer installation

We purchased a brand new washer and dryer for my son and wife as their house warming gift on their 1 year almost new upgraded home. The washer and dryer were delivered on Monday, June 26th. The dispatched/delivery company installed both items and tested the washer and dryer were operational. Once they left my daughter in law started a load of laundry and went to check on the laundry 20 minutes later and found water seeping out of the walls and floors. We immediately contacted the dispatch company to go back and assess the situation and the damaged caused.

The more experienced worker assessed what happened and stated we are sorry but the guy who installed the washer is new on the job and was having a bad day and he placed the washer drain hose in the wrong hole in wall. The water was literally draining from inside the walls behind the washer and dryer and caused extensive damage to the upgraded laminate flooring and tiles buckling in the adjacent master walk in closet and master bath.

We immediately contacted a water restoration company to mitigate the damage and they had to remove the damaged flooring, baseboards and tiles as there was a lot of water and also the insulation in the crawl space was wet and dripping water and needed to be removed.

We were told to submit our claim to a 3rd party company which we thought was Lowe's insurance company but come to find out they are just a 3rd party company handling the claim. It took 2 weeks to get an email from them after our relentless attempts for an update. The excuse was that because of the 4th of July holidays they were behind and were also having some technical issues. After many more voice messages and emails sent to this company we finally got an email from the following person who finally assigned a claim # to this incident, Property Damage Claim # 132992

She requested photos and an incident report with all the details, which she then responded that we should file a claim with our homeowner's insurance, which our insurance agent advised not to do as this was pure negligence on the Lowe's installation team.

To date we still have no response or updates to this claim, we submitted the water extraction bill for over $7,000 and are yet to get a response. In the meantime, the water extraction company is requesting payment and this 3rd party claim company is yet to respond or make contact with the water extraction company to arrange for payment. We are at a loss and still unable to get the home back to its original condition.

We feel they are blowing us off and ignoring our continuous and persistent follow up in hopes we go away.

Desired outcome: We are holding Lowe's and their disptach/delivery company for this damage and would like them to pay for the remediation invoice and also the repairs to bring our home to the condition it was before this happened

Hi Ms. Shevers.

This sounds like a very unfortunate incident.

Lowe's only recommends certain installers to handle the installation of appliances; they do not handle the installation themselves. As a result, it's important to contact and follow the guidelines outlined by the installation company's insurance adjuster.

An insurance adjuster will generally need to view the damage before it is fixed. This allows them to insure the damage was caused by their client and get an accurate value of what the repairs should cost.

By not doing so, you've left the solution somewhat arbitrary. Please, take the time to contact Ms. Estep; she is likely the only one who is able to speak in detail about any remedy.

Lowe's - Craftsman pressure washer 3200 honda motor its red

I bought this brandnew came home put it together as instructions said to and crank it up and the motor locked up and it has a bad oil leak from the motor its a manufactor problem the oil ruined my carpet in my truck and oil is all over my garage floor I tried to take it back and because it had gas in it I had to bring it back home now I dont want to ruin my carpet from oil leak again so I guess im stuck with it.. The honda motor wasnt put together right from who ever built it I would just like to get my money back it is useless to me the motor locked up I cant even pull cord to crank it...
