I have seen Deb of Olney IL Salvation Army post on Facebook that unless you are ringing the bell and collecting donations this year she will not be allowing those to get help in the coming year. This includes those who are disabled and elderly (expects family or friends to do it) or children on the Angel Tree. She is has said she will keep their Angel Tree gifts until they ring. I am posting the screen shot of that here. This is completely unacceptable for a nonprofit to do. This action has kept my money out of the Salvation Army Buckets this year and will for years to come. It's a disgrace that people who claim families now have to worry about those gifts being held hostage by this woman. I find this to be an abuse of nonprofit organization and if this isn't resolved I will file a complaint with the state attorney general against The Salvation Army for allowing this abuse to continue.
