Meijer

I shopped in the Meijer Evergreen Park store this morning. I shop this store exclusively. I picked up a few things and went through the self check out. A woman watched me the whole time I was checking out my 10 items. There were a couple of people in front of me when leaving the store. The first was a man with two bags who had just left the self checkout. The alarm went off and they waved him through. Next was a woman with a cart full. The alarm went off and they waved her through. I started through and same thing, the alarm went off but since I'm white, I was told I needed to go over to a section with the two security guards! I told them that I will not do that. I will go to customer service where they can search me in front of everyone...not alone with them. I put my bags up on the customer service counter and told them I wanted a complete refund of my purchases. Of course they found I didn't steal anything and refunded my money. Why was I...the only old, white women treated differently? I will never, never shop Meijer again.

Please consider having the barber shop display a price list for hair cuts. Three hair cuts, three different prices.

I'm 80 year old and $25 and $30. My hair is very thin and I have a bald spot on the top of my head.

I've heard the barbers discussing the cost of a haircut, which apparently means the barbers also confused. I realize that black men hair runs the gamut when it comes to style, length and trim, but something needs to be posted so that the customer knows before he sits down the price or informed that his hair cut falls into the next higher price range.
