Lowe's - Whirlpool washer

On july 15. I placed an online order. Order # [protected]. It was delivered on july 17, and during the unwrap and delivery the washer was damaged and dented in on both sides. After install, a few days later, the washer was spinning off cycle and when stop in the middle of the wash. After finding and waiting for a friend with a truck, I returned the washer to 39500 lowes dr, the dept manager. Ceasar. Was unable to do a refund or offer a store credit. Instead he told me there was nothing that could be done.. The washer was left at the store. I need a resolution, either for the full amount I paid and or a store credit for the full amount.

Desired outcome: full refund reverse back to my debit card or a store credit for the full amount which was paid

We're very sorry for your current frustrations. We never want that to be the case.

We'd like to provide a resolution. Before doing so, it would be helpful to get some additional details.

Did the management team at this Lowe's location agree to a accept the washer back? This is an important question and not meant to be flippant. Based upon your explication, we're hoping it wasn't just left, curbside, so to speak. Also, would you happen to have record of the unit's model and serial number?

The concern is that of responsibility. If the washer was never accepted back from your local Lowe's Super Center, it would have never been entered into the Lowe's system. As such, the first consideration is to try and locate the piece. Hopefully it is still under control of that particular location and someone there remembers the situation. It is possible, but not probable, that the location we're referring to did not have enough space to simply store such a product and donated it to someone or an organization in need.

If it can be located, it may benefit you to pick it up and keep it under your control until we can determine the proper course of action.

Lowe's website, along with each location, states that any return or exchange on an appliance must be initiated within 48 hours of receiving goods. This is a contractual agreement between Lowe's and the manufacturer. If it's past the 48 hours, we generally like to get an authorized service tech to take a look at the unit to determine the problem. At that point, it's possible that the manufacturer could issue an RA (return authorization) number and the exchange could take place.

Please respond back and we'll attempt to get this resolved.
