My order was ship with the wrong part and I have been emailing and calling them and NO REPLY, TERRIBLE SERVICES - DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM, YOU WILL REGRET IT.

I once bought a transmission gasket and seal kit from these guys, but my package never arrived. I even tried reaching out to their customer service, but got no answer. I must have shot them a few inquiries, but no reply. Couldn't even tell if they sent it in the first place. Such a dud experience. I ordered me self a transfer case rebuild kit from the Transmission Parts Distributors, aka americanpowertrainwarehouse.com, and boy was I surprised when them parts showed up in my mailbox in just under a week! The kit had all of the parts listed in the description, carefully packed and secured with some nice tape. And get this, they even put the gasket in a separate, sturdy cardboard envelope, and wrote "open carefully, gaskets inside!" on the packaging. That's some extra care if you ask me!

I gotta say, I'm real happy with my order from these guys. They got my order right and sent everything in a timely manner. I even reckon I'll be ordering from them again! The brand of the valve body was Sonnax, so I called them to find out more information. They told me that Transmission Parts Distributors is actually an intermediary company. This means that they have Sonnax products on their page, and when you buy from them, they take your money and buy the product from Sonnax in your name. You're not actually buying directly from Sonnax.

When I told Sonnax about the problem with the check engine code I was getting, they gave me a serial number for the replacement process. I wanna share my not-so-cool experience with Transmission Parts Distributors. I ordered some transmission rebuild kits for my Toyota Tacoma and Jeep, worth $1450.00 Canadian dollars. But guess what? They didn't even give me a receipt or an email confirmation after my purchase. How rude, right? I gave them 8 days to process my order and when I didn't hear back, I sent them an email asking about my purchase. They apologized and said that one of the kits was on back order.

Okay, fine, I waited patiently. Two weeks later, my package arrived but I got slapped with an additional $202.00 CAD for customs duties and taxes. When I started rebuilding my transmission, I noticed that the input shaft synchro had a different tooth shape, so it didn't fit well with the #2 hub sleeve. Same goes for the 1st Gear synchro, which was totally different. The new synchro was a genuine Toyota part but it's actually for a newer 6 speed Tacoma and didn't have a cross reference for my 5 speed transmission. I contacted their customer service with pictures and after some research, they basically told me that they stand by their listings and can't supply OEM Toyota syncros. There was an offer to return them for $200.00 US refund and $50.00 US store credit if I'm unhappy. And yes, I was unhappy, so I returned them ($22.00 CAD).

I decided to find the OEM Toyota synchros myself from different parts of the world for $350.00 CAD. While putting my transmission back together, I hit another roadblock with the counter 5th gear needle bearings - they didn't even fit. I emailed their customer service again, but didn't get a reply until a week later where I discovered a $50.00 US store credit on their website, but no refund! That store credit is useless to me as I wouldn't buy anything from them again.

It's been over a month now since they received my returned syncros, and still no refund. I don't even expect to get one at this point. Okay, so I ordered a transmission kit for my Acura from Transmission Parts Distributors. The shipping was decent, I guess. When I started to rebuild the transmission, I took apart first and second gear clutches, and opened up the new clutches from the kit. They were supposed to be labeled 123mm with 44 teeth, which is what was required for my car. However, when I opened up the clutch bags, the actual clutches were only 115mm with 44 teeth. I tried calling them multiple times but they never picked up, so I left them a message. But they never got back to me. So, I thought maybe they respond to emails better, and I sent them an email. But still, no response. I also logged into their website to send them a message, but, once again, no response. Honestly, I’m so over these guys. I won’t ever buy from them again.
