this drug and alcohol treatment center in florida claims to specialize in treating women, however the people who work there are cruel and obnoxious. they totally abuse you while you are trying to recover and then have no problem kicking people out to make room for new victims "admits" THE ORCHID RECOVERY CENTER is a total ripp-off! Stay away from this place...they are evil, money stealing theifs!

My daughter just got home from there & they started treating her badly because she didn't want to sign on for an additional 30 days. They drove her to the airport & dropped her off. It was total BS what they did to her. When I called Loren, she never called me back & when my husband called Laura they said she was on another call. I am so upset about this !
I totally AGREE. DO NOT GO HERE, UNDER ANY REASON. They hurt me so much in this place. They pray on women. The staff is evil. They are complete hipocrits! Mothers do not send your daughters here! They are going to get WORSE! The abuse here is unbelieveable, they act like they care but they don't give a rats ###. I went for a couple weeks and they are NOT professional. They told my family lies about what they heard in "therapy" they told things that I never said! They think they are too good for the women they help. Girls have almost died in there! The Orchid Center for Women is a failure! MOTHERS BEWARE. One girl got sent to a mental institution after this and we never heard about her again!
I totally agree with both of you! First off they sent me to a detox center for 10 days before I entered to detox off of ritalin (which doesnt take 10 days to get out of the system) and the detox center put me on so many drugs that I actually "nodded out" and when I arrived at the Orchid Recovery Center in Palm Springs Florida I went through detox from detox! At my first day at the orchid rehab they kept me waiting in a room by myself starving for hours while i detoxed from all the drugs the detox center put in my body. These admissions people are complete and total liars. They are MASTER MANIPULATORS, and it is their job to keep patients there as long as possible because it is more money in their pockets. I seriously could go on ALL DAY LONG about how totally corrupt and horrible the people (who are all women...go figure!) are! Basically, you pay $18, 000 to be treated like a POS and fear being thrown out daily because they really do not care whether or not you stay because all they want to do is get your money and then kick you out so someone else can come in. They lied so many times about their program, about their credentials, etc and if i actually had the time to deal with suing their unlawful, immoral ### i would. I simply dont have the time to deal with it, so if there is anything i can do for society that is good it is to tell $30K like i did... they are just awful... looks great from the outside and on their webiste, but inside is a whole other story!
I completely agree with you this place is a rip off! I went it with high hopes and was under the impression this was a nice place. It is a dump and most of the pics on their site of from the administration office...Not only did I not get the help I needed and wanted, but even worse I became sick and asking to see a doctor several times. I was flat out denied medical attention and was only given aspirin. The staff said " You just have a cold and need to quit whinnying" I eventually felt so ill that I walked out and had to walk to the hospital ER. (Luckily a few blocks away) I was admitted there with double pneumonia and stayed for over 5 days. It could have been avoided with a simple antibiotic. In the end they still charged my insurance for over $16, 000 and I did not get the help I needed. DO NOT GO HERE!
