When we started considering solar energy, we were unsure of what to anticipate. We had three solar companies visit us, and we ultimately chose SOLIS ENERGY. The entire process was fantastic from beginning to end. ***, the project manager, explained everything in great detail and ensured our understanding. We are extremely satisfied with the system and the installation. The entire project lasted about 3 months. We absolutely adore our monthly electric bills of only $12! I will definitely recommend *** and SOLIS to all my friends and neighbors.

This company might have ComplaintsBoard.com approval, but I had to hire an attorney to recover from the damage done to my home by their subcontractor and employees! My roof, which has been inspected by two reputable firms, doesn't meet Code and was improperly installed. I urgently need a new roof because it leaks in three places, and there's a possibility of water seeping into my electrical panel. Instead of addressing the issue, they've been avoiding me, hoping I'll just go away. They have the reports but refuse to fix the roof, replace the damaged decking and insulation, or repair the ceiling. They're even denying the mold problem they caused. If you decide to use their services, make sure you have money set aside for legal fees! I strongly advise against using them! My rating for them is too low; they deserve a negative 5 in my opinion!

The old boss of Solis Energy Services died like 4 months ago. There's stuff he promised me that the new guys don't wanna do. They're supposed to fix up my garage wiring and finish setting up my solar power.

I hired Solis Energy Services for installing a solar system, which was supposed to be finished on June 30. However, as of now, the system is still not functioning. Moreover, they caused damage to my newly constructed building. It is clear to me that they did not follow Ameren's installation instructions, despite claiming to be highly experienced in this field. I have already paid them in full, but their lack of expertise is quite evident.

They got this rebate thing going on with the state of Illinois. Supposedly, you can get some cash back within 6 to 9 months. So, I got my system installed back in December , but guess what? I still ain't seen a dime. I gave 'em a call and they told me it's a two-step application process. The company filled out the first part, but they forgot about the second part. Now, here's the kicker: the rebate program is on hold until November, and I can't even submit the second part of the application until then. I was supposed to get around 15 grand back, but who knows when that's gonna happen now.

I signed a contract on 8/16/22 for a solar install. They said it would take 'bout 2 months. Now it's been 3 months and they still say they're in the engineering phase. Can't get anyone to answer my calls, return my calls, or even text me back. The few texts I did get said they'd call after their meeting, but that never happened. They basically disappeared on me. Saw other reviews online sayin' the same thing. I just wanna cancel this contract and find a company that actually cares 'bout their customers.

I got a complaint 'bout Solis Energy Services. We got them solar panels installed to get them low electric bills 'cause they said it'd be $16 a month. We paid all the charges for them panels up front. On 12/17, we paid $19,970.00 and on 05/17/2022, we paid the other half, which was also $19,970.00. They made us pay the second half just three days after they installed them panels. Now, here's the problem: one of them panels ain't been workin' for six months, according to the app. We done told three different folks 'bout it, but it still ain't workin'. And get this, three panels don't produce 'cause they're shaded by the chimney and can't do their job right. They ain't generatin' enough electricity to cover our electric bill. We had to pay a total of $887.00 in electric bills. Now, here's where it gets worse. They don't bother returnin' our calls, and their customer service is just plain awful. They ain't fixin' the problems or tryin' to settle things. We done called 'em so many times, but it's like they don't wanna help or they just ignore us. We want this mess sorted out by fixin' the problems and payin' for the electric bills we already paid for with them solar panels. They gotta add more panels to generate enough power 'cause we already paid 'em for 'em panels.

In July, Solis Energy Services came to sell us solar. A sales representative named *** made an appointment. During that time, we discussed solar and provided information about our house. *** made it sound really good. About a week later, *** came back with information based on our power usage. We were told that our power bill would never be over $8.30 per month and that we would receive credit for the power put back into the grid. This credit would be given to us either monthly or quarterly by check. We were also informed that we could claim a tax credit of 26%. For example, 26% of $55,000.00 would be around $14,980.00. I have all of this information on paper, which was provided by ***, the representative for SOLIS.

However, none of the above turned out to be true. Our power bill is actually between $150.00 to $175.00, far from the promised $8.30. As for the credit on power put into the grid, they don't give credits. If there are any credits due, they will be reflected on your bill. Every month, I have to purchase power. Regarding the 26% tax issue, it is based on your personal taxes. For instance, if you were going to receive $4,000.00 in your taxes, that would be the only credit you would receive on the $14,980.00. The credit cannot exceed your personal taxes. It will take 3 to 4 years to receive this credit. This money was also supposed to go towards the $55,000.00. Additionally, we were supposed to receive a $15,000.00 credit from Illinois, which would have reduced our bill by $25,000.00. Without these two dollar amounts, our solar bill increased by $361.00 per month.

We tried calling SOLIS and ***, but they never returned our calls. Occasionally, if we blocked our number, they might answer, but it's all empty promises. They always say they will check and get back to us, but they never do. We also reached out to Brian Little, the area manager, but he also did not return our calls or fulfill his promises. I do not suggest using them. It has been a horrible experience dealing with this business.
