I bought this company's software (Aurora 2018), and all of a sudden, I couldn't export files anymore after updating to Big Sur with Apple
I bought this company's software (Aurora 2018), and all of a sudden, I couldn't export files anymore after updating to Big Sur with Apple. This software cost me around $70... The 2018 software isn't being taken care of by this company... they're not giving updates... they don't plan on doing it either, to help paying customers. I saw their comments in different forums saying that if you want the export function (duh?), you have to buy the 2019 software... they don't offer an upgrade, they don't offer any extra service. So, I had to buy the 2019 version (the newest one) and I spent another $70. But guess what? I still can't export anything with this one! I CAN'T EXPORT FROM THIS LATEST AND GREATEST SOFTWARE EITHER! I WANT THE PROBLEM FIXED RIGHT NOW OR GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK. From what I can tell, I spent $70 for the same functionality - nothing else was added - and obviously I can't export files from this terrible scam of software by Skylum Software company. Be careful if you're thinking of buying it...
This program wants you to understand the basics and then buy many little modules
This program wants you to understand the basics and then buy many little modules. It's like those games where you start with a free version but then have to buy more and more. I paid a big fee to get the software, so it annoys me that this wasn't clear from the beginning. And then, my computer started running slower, especially when I use the internet. The Photoshop plug-in didn't work either, and my photo results were just okay, nothing special. I looked for help in the program documentation and it said I should use CC Cleaner to clean my registry. So, I tried the free version and things got a bit better. But this morning, I opened an email for the "photo of the day" that I get every day, and Norton warned me about it. I foolishly ignored the warning and clicked on the photo, only to get an ad. The email also had a really bad "annual review of your Social Security" with a link but no branding or anything. I'm really shaken up and Norton, like everyone else, doesn't make it easy to talk to a real person. I don't know what to do next...it feels like someone from another country has control of my computer! I'm so frustrated...I wonder how everyone else is dealing with this kind of crap. No wonder so many people are losing it and there's no civility anymore.

I bought Luminar 4 but it doesn't work on my MAC
I bought Luminar 4 but it doesn't work on my MAC. I tried following the instructions and reaching out to customer support for help, but they couldn't resolve the issue and the online guidance wasn't helpful. I'm really disappointed because I couldn't get in touch with anyone from the company. I've seen many others facing similar problems on the internet. This is a bad product and the company doesn't make it easy to speak with a real person.
Skylum software says they emailed me many times 'bout my refund request
Skylum software says they emailed me many times 'bout my refund request. I sent lotsa emails askin' for a refund but they ignored 'em all. I made a post on their website's community thread and they say they reached out to me and told me to check my spam folder. Ain't nothin' there, and I've searched everywhere for an email from 'em.
I bought their software program with amazing planets and California sunsets
I bought their software program with amazing planets and California sunsets. I emailed them several times for help and finally got an email back with the packs I purchased. The problem is when I bought the software, it was all supposed to be there. But now I got the 2 extra packs and do not know how to install them. I have emailed to no avail. This is ridiculous and I feel like I have been scammed.

- Skylum Software protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.
I bought LuminarAI on December 23 as a photo editing tool
I bought LuminarAI on December 23 as a photo editing tool. I saw lots of great reviews online from well-known photographers. It loaded fine and I had no issues with it or the presets I bought UNTIL April 18. I was in the middle of editing some photos and it crashed. I closed it and opened it again, but nothing happened! It crashed every time! I contacted them multiple times to get it fixed. Skylum asked for logs and all sorts of things, and I sent them. They said they didn't receive them. I put them in Drive and gave them access, but they said nope, didn't get them! I sent them from a different email address and they still said, "No, we never got them!" I asked for a refund and they said no because it's been over *** days! They have my money and I can't even log into the program, let alone edit anything!
I bought this photo editing thing called Luminar4, but it's been a real pain
I bought this photo editing thing called Luminar4, but it's been a real pain. It freezes, crashes, and is super slow. I reached out to them and they told me to reinstall it, which kinda helped but it's still slow and crashes sometimes. Then, a few weeks ago, I got a notification to upgrade it, so I did. But things got even worse because now when I try to open it, it says my trial version is expired (even though I paid the full $89). I have to enter my email and registration number every time just to get in, and then it crashes again. I've been going back and forth with their tech support, following their instructions over and over, but nothing's working. I asked for a new product or a refund, but all they gave me were incomplete instructions.
I bought credits to get the official Skylum Luminar 4 license, but now Skylum won't activate it on the Apple App Store
I bought credits to get the official Skylum Luminar 4 license, but now Skylum won't activate it on the Apple App Store. They want me to download an unofficial version that could harm my computer. Apple doesn't support apps that aren't from their App Store. They say, "The safest place to get apps for your Mac is the App Store. Apple reviews each app before accepting it and signs it to ensure it hasn't been tampered with." I have a license key for the official Skylum Luminar 4 software. My key should activate the official version on the App Store, supported by Apple. Skylum is violating my rights as a consumer and their contract with Apple. I reported this to Apple, saying, "You're bypassing Apple's restrictions by asking for root access and breaking their rules. Apple doesn't support this kind of installation. You can check with their representatives or even email the executive office. They'll respond and won't ignore you. I've been in the IT business longer than your code monkeys. Just learning Python and working for a company doesn't make you a designer. If everyone could become a good designer by taking a crash course in programming, then every programmer would be like Louis Vuitton. Can you explain what your proprietary installer does when it has full access to the operating system? Is the installer open source? Can I see it? How can your app be the same version online if it changes functionality? Do you have Apple's encryption keys? I doubt it. Your software can't be signed by Apple, so users download an unsigned app that can't be trusted. There are no cryptographic hashes! That's why when you double click the installer, Apple's OS warns you that it's not from a trusted source. If you don't understand the operating systems you're writing programs for, maybe stick to PC users. They don't mind bad code. Half the PCs in the world are already infected, slow, and full of junk, and people don't even know. If you respond, make sure it's written by someone with at least 20 years of UNIX experience, or it'll sound silly. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone."
