I went to Simons with my mum who doesn't speak English. She wanted to try on some clothes, but the salesperson asked me to leave the changing area. I felt really bad about it. The salesperson told me that it was company policy that men were not allowed in the changing area. I didn't like that at all. I told the lady that I wouldn't let my mum or my wife buy anything from their store. This was the last time I went to Simons. It seems like they think they're in a Muslim country or something.

I don't understand why Simons has this policy. It doesn't make any sense to me. I think it's really unfair to women who need help from their male family members. What if my mum needed help with something? I wouldn't be able to help her.

But when I received my order, there was no gift box or gift wrap, even though the slip with my purchases stated that it would have one. This was a huge letdown, especially since the first year I ordered from them, the customer service was excellent and the gift boxes were sent and listed on the slip.

It's now December 20th and I still haven't received anything!

I called Canada Post to see what was going on, and they told me to contact Simons. So I did, and Simons told me to contact Canada Post. It's like everyone is just picking their nose and no one knows what's going on. My suggestion to Simons would be to stop using Canada Post altogether and start using independent companies like FedEx or others. This whole situation reflects poorly on the department responsible for choosing the delivery provider, and it's costing Simons a lot of business. I mean, they're able to sell things for cheaper because of their markdowns, but if they can't even get their deliveries right, what's the point?

However, they also said that it was more important to them that customers in apartment complexes would be able to receive their parcels safely.

To be honest, I was disappointed by their response. It felt like they were prioritizing their own liability over their customers' safety during a pandemic. I understand that they don't want to take responsibility for lost goods, but other online retailers have found ways to be more flexible and cater to their customers' needs. As a result, I don't think I'll be shopping with Simons again until they can do the same.
