Silver Sands Vacation Rentals I made a reservation for a rental property through ****

I made a reservation for a rental property through ***. On the website it clearly stated that this property allowed for free cancellations 60 days prior to arrival. I cancelled the reservation 3 months in advance and they are refusing to refund my deposit. I have a picture of the website as proof and can share that.

Silver Sands Vacation Rentals I rented a house in Port Aransas from the company in dispute

I rented a house in Port Aransas from the company in dispute. the property was located in Corpus Christi. Due to Covid safety measures, the city of Corpus canceled all short term rentals. The company called to notify me about the new ordinance, 48 hours prior to my schedule check in date and exactly 9 days after the full payment had been made. they refused to reimburse me. the rent was $ 2,671.89 I asked and talked to the manager who refused to reimburse. the rental company cancel the reservation, therefor they are in violation of the rental agreement. I am entitle to get my money back.

Silver Sands Vacation Rentals I spent an entire day of my vacation cleaning so the kids would not touch the blood and feces that were left behind

I spent an entire day of my vacation cleaning so the kids would not touch the blood and feces that were left behind. The oven never worked, the dryer stopped working 2 days into the stay, my son stepped on a rusty screw in the pool (along with finding several used band-aids) this was all with the revised late check in time mandated so the housekeepers have more time in the unit to clean. I called for a week straight to get resolution and was promised a call back each time. We are now on week 3 since our check out and have not heard a word since. A truly awful experience to say the least.

Silver Sands Vacation Rentals I signed into a contract for a short term rental on 6/15 in which I agreed to the stipulations in their contract

I signed into a contract for a short term rental on 6/15 in which I agreed to the stipulations in their contract. On 6/29 I received an email from them stating they were changing the check in/check out time. The contract that I signed states the check in time cannot be guaranteed but it excludes any change to the check out time. I spoke to *** on 7/16 @ 12:10 and informed her that I requested a refund for my stay due to breach of contract and explained to her that no where in the contract that I signed with them does it state they can change the check out time for any reason. She refused and stated the time change was due to Covid19. I explained to her that the beach access restrictions are Covid19 related also and that I was bringing two toddlers and two elderly with me on my trip to the beach that suddenly can only be accessed by walking, but she didn't care to offer a refund for that Covid19 reason.

Silver Sands Vacation Rentals We rented a cottage from this company

We rented a cottage from this company. Check in time was 1600. Upon arrival, the cottage was not cleaned. There were dirty towels on both bathroom floors, none of the beds were made, the bathtub was dirty and there was hair all over the bathroom sink. We called the office and they stated someone would be out within an hour to clean. We went to dinner, arrived back at 1900 to find the cottage still not cleaned. At that point we had to contact emergency maintenance, who told us they are unsure when someone could come clean and that there were no other cottages available. This also happened to our family members 3 cottages down when they went to check in. They left and got a hotel for the night. When notifying the office the following day, they were told they could not be issued a full refund, and could only receive a refund for cleaning fees. If a business is unable to provide services paid for, the customer should not pay for this service.

Silver Sands Vacation Rentals I booked with this rental property for a *** was hosting for April , due to COVID the festival was postponed to

I booked with this rental property for a *** was hosting for April , due to COVID the festival was postponed to October . In August, I found out the Festival had been cancelled completely due to COVID. I contacted the vendor on August 6th to request a full refund due to the festival cancellation and I was well within the cancellation window. The owner *** replied to my email stating she would fully reimburse me and that the refund would process within 7-10 business days. (The refund amount is $715.00) After waiting, on August 30th I contacted them again via phone and email. At that time, I got the run around and no solution or reimbursement was processed. I reached out on the 8th and again on the 15th of September. It is September 18th, over 40 days since the owner stated she would reimburse me and I still have not received confirmation of the reimbursement nor the refund itself. I need assistance in getting this resolved, I've been more than patient with this vendor.

This company essentially stole money from us for the following reasons: Zero communication after SEVERAL email (five below)/phone call (at least four) attempts to explain and discuss the unsatisfactory conditions. It literally took them FIVE days to finally contact me. What kind of customer service is that? Completely unacceptable by Silver Sands. Zero Wi-Fi. We were forced to use our own data plan to connect during our shortened stay at Condo 1. This is a basic service guaranteed by your office, yet absolutely nothing was done about it after we almost immediately notified your office. At the very least, they should pay our current *** bill. Constant noise. We realize these condos are located above a restaurant, but the uninterrupted noise (doors ALWAYS slamming and shaking the condo, visitors/workers ALWAYS shouting, etc.) is NOT stated anywhere on your site and was NOT explained to us before we reserved Condo 1. The fact that you fail to even acknowledge the inconvenience and obnoxiousness of Condo 1 is ridiculous. We had a 2-year-old with us and were forced to leave a day early because of these unacceptable conditions provided by Silver Sands. (In other words, false advertising.) Provided parking spot for the condo was in use and we were forced to park somewhere else, leading us to be concerned about our car being towed. Overall lack of concern and organization by Silver Sands. From not replying to SEVERAL emails/voicemails during and after our stay to the cleaning service waking up our son Tuesday morning because "management" told them "Condo 1 is vacant and needs to be cleaned ASAP" reflects how poorly Silver Sands is run, top to bottom. From the incompetent "Customer Service" agent to the incompetent "Property Manager," what a huge disappointment our experience with the team has been and continues to be. Both lied to me on the phone repeatedly and refused to offer a link to leave an honest review. We'll definitely spread the word about Silver Sands/*** and how disrespectful we've been treated. There were obvious FAKE reviews on the site regarding *** and we're still waiting for a link to leave an actual, honest review...

Silver Sands Vacation Rentals My wife and kids and our extended family rented a property from silver sands in port Aransas called "Port A Paradise" for June 7-10th of 2020

My wife and kids and our extended family rented a property from silver sands in port Aransas called "Port A Paradise" for June 7-10th of 2020. We arrived at our rental around 4pm to find the cleaning person watching TV on the couch wearing no protective gear and upon our arrival he roused himself and left the accommodation and told us that there were no clean towels but that they would bring some by for us to use. We then found the house to be in disarray with a dishwasher full of dirty dishes, no pillow cases on several of the bed pillows, dirt and cockroaches on the floor in the bathroom and other issues. I called the office at that point to tell them and they said they would care for it. I waited till the evening and called again and they once again took the message down and said they would send someone over. In the interim we noticed that none of the streaing apps on the TV's would work and the internet was down so we could log in and do some of the work my wife and I needed to do. I also notified the office and the company they partner with for golf carts to inform them the golf cart we had was not filled with gas and had no working seatbelts despite that clearly being outlined as a legal requirement of its usage. No one ever came to fix or service the cart and my wife to videos of it when we arrived to ensure we documented the issues and were not charged. The second day after not hearing back my wife called again and it wasn't until then that we got some towels sent over but no pillow cases or any of the other concerns were addressed and no one ever returned our calls. I sent emails through the App, did a service request through the app, left an online review, and left messages (we have all the call logs and names of who we spoke to and I have the emails) and no one ever called us back despite repeated promises. Without access to do our work and due to the lack of response and basic items we had to cut our trip short and checked out 2 days early so we could get home. We have since spoke to a manager, ***, whos interaction i recorded and she was completely rude and condescending to my wife and downplayed the signifigance of the issues and disputed that her office knew of the issues despite citing the messages we left in the recorded call. She then said she would check her "call logs" and call us back and after 2 days we have heard nothing from her so we called again today and the person who answered said she was "busy" and would call us back and of course that has yet to happen. I am beside myself with how any business can run this way and employ managers who take no ownership of the issues caused by their staff and the groups they contract with and to not be willing to compensate guests for failed promises and false advertising when the facilities are not up to the standards laid out on the website when we booked the property. I would like a full refund for the issues we experienced for what should have been a relaxing family vacation.

Our condo was infested with roaches. Silver Sands responded to this by dropping off a can of roach spray. We promptly checked out two days early and requested a partial reimbursement. They have not responded.
