I used to be a big fan of SBS, but now I'm not so sure. The amount of ads they show during their programs is just too much. It's like they're trying to sell you something every five minutes! I mean, I get it, they need to make money, but come on. It's getting ridiculous.

The only way to avoid the ads is to prerecord the live TV and watch it later. That way, you can fast forward through the ads and get to the good stuff. But even then, it's not a perfect solution. Sometimes the ads are so long that you end up missing part of the show!

And don't even get me started on SBS On Demand. It used to be a great way to catch up on shows you missed, but now it's just a platform for ads. You can't even watch a full episode without being interrupted by an ad break. It's frustrating and takes away from the viewing experience.

Honestly, I would be willing to pay for ad-free access to SBS On Demand. I think a lot of people would. It would be a great way for SBS to make money without bombarding their viewers with ads. But until then, I'll just have to deal with the ads and hope they don't ruin my favorite shows.

Yo, so I gotta be real with y'all: I've been binging on SBS On Demand for the past few days, so that's what I'm gonna talk about in this review.

First off, the On Demand streaming service is pretty solid. I haven't had any issues with it glitching out or anything like that. You can choose from three different quality options (720p, 360p, and 224p), which is a bit low compared to other streaming services, but hey, it's free!

That's right, you can watch movies and shows on SBS On Demand for free. All you need is an email address to sign up, and you don't have to give any banking details or personal info. So if you're a bit paranoid about giving out your deets online, you don't have to worry too much.

But of course, there's a catch. There are ads involved when you stream a movie. There's one set before the movie starts, and a few more throughout the movie. But honestly, the ads aren't too bad. They're placed at the end of a scene, so they don't interrupt the dialogue or anything like that.

The downside to this is that I don't know if the movies have been edited for the ad breaks or not. But that might not be SBS's fault, since a lot of streaming services have to host the version of the movie that the company gives them, regardless of whether or not it's the same as the DVD or Blu-ray version.

One thing I did notice is that SBS On Demand doesn't handle going back in the stream as well as other services. If you want to go back a bit to rewatch a scene or catch some dialogue, you have to hit the back ten seconds button a bunch of times. And if you click on the progress bar, the player might lag and you're better off refreshing the page.

But at least refreshing the page won't take you back to the start of the movie. It'll take you back to where you were.

The selection of movies and shows is pretty limited, but that's to be expected. It's mostly stuff that's aired on SBS recently that you might have missed. The search function works pretty well, though. It's limited to what's already on the site, so you won't get suggestions for stuff they don't have.

Overall, I think SBS On Demand is a pretty good service. The drawbacks are minor, and it's free! So if you're looking for something to watch and don't want to pay for it, give it a shot.
