Roof doctors did our roof on 8/10. We paid $8,100. We got leaks from the vent in the laundry room and fireplace. We called for months and they said someone would come out. Finally, someone came out a couple of weeks ago and said they would fix it. But no one came to fix it yet. We're worried about mold and other problems because it's been so long.

So, we got a new metal roof put on our house in November . It came with a 2 year workmanship warranty and a 25 year material warranty. We wanted to make sure it was ready for hurricane season, so we called the Roof Doctor to come inspect it. But we never heard back from them, even after leaving messages for the owner. Then, on July 12th, we woke up to water coming through the vent hood in our kitchen. We called the Roof Doctor right away, but still didn't hear back from them. So, we called another company who came out and fixed the improperly installed vent cover that was causing the leak. We had to spend $350 to get it fixed, but the Roof Doctor still hasn't followed up with us. We had to call another roofing company to get the leak repaired because we couldn't wait any longer.

Roof Doctor of Alabama was supposed to fix our roof but they let it rain for an hour and a half in our house causing damages. Our insurance company said we had hail damage to our roof after we found a leak in our game room and bathroom sharing the same wall. We talked to 3 different roofing companies and picked Roof Doctor of Alabama. They said they had their own crew, but they didn't. They said a supervisor would be there the whole time, but they weren't. They started on August 23, Thursday. I came home for lunch and none of the workers spoke English. I had to call the supervisor to come back and answer some questions again. I went back to work and it rained for about 2 hours, which is normal in August in Alabama. My husband called me and said he saw one of the workers looking into our bedroom. I got home around 4 pm and found them trying to clean the back porch. No one said anything to me. The supervisor still wasn't there. I walked into my utility room with an inch and a half of water on the floor. There was also water in the kitchen, bathroom, breakfast nook, game room, spare closet, and sun porch! I called the supervisor immediately and he said he couldn't come tonight but would be there in the morning to fix it. Two workers tried to clean up in the house before I started taking pictures of the water everywhere! I had to tell them to stop multiple times. Once I took all 800 pictures, they left. My husband came home and was angry. On Friday, August 24, the workers showed up and I had to tell them to stop working until the supervisor got there. The supervisor looked at all the water damages from the attic to the living areas and said they would fix it. Then the owner of The Roof Doctor of Alabama showed up and looked at everything. He said he would just put some tape and mud up in all the seams and that should fix it. It got so bad that I called my insurance agent and a friend to help me with the situation and get the damages fixed to our home. The owner and the supervisor then left again! The Roof Doctor of Alabama then called ServPro out to our home to fix the water damages on Friday night. When ServPro said it was so bad that it would be a $6,000.00 deposit, The Roof Doctor of Alabama said no. Then the following Saturday, August 31, I got a call from a private Home Appraiser to come appraise my home. Yes, The Roof Doctor of Alabama called him too. I then called Mobile County Inspectors office to come out and they failed the roof. It still leaks! The Mobile County Inspectors Office and Alabama Home Builders Licensure Board were supposed to investigate it. They gave The Roof Doctor 30 days to respond and they didn't. So then things went quiet and I got a lawyer. Things went round and round and yes, we still don't have any resolution in this matter. I also found out today that Alabama Home Builders and Licensure Board can't help because our contract was for under $10K. Really? Yes, we've had 2 different general contractors come out and give us an estimate on how much the damages will cost. We have followed all of the so-called guidelines. We are still living in a nightmare! I can't seem to get any help from anyone. I would really like my home fixed, we have nowhere else to go. Why is it so hard to get a company, who damages one's home, to admit responsibility and then fix what they caused? I am still dealing with this.
