I hired Painting Crew for a day at http://www.bestpricepainters.com, email: [protected]@gmail.com phone: [protected]. WORST MISTAKE EVER! THEY OFFERED CHEAPER PRICES BY THE DAY COMPARED TO OTHER COMPANIES...BUT AS THEY CHARGE BY TIME...THE ARE SLOW..AND CARELESS...AND AT THE END THE WERE TRYING TO DO A ONE DAY JOB IN THREE DAYS! TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL !

Should have gone for any of the companies that gave estimates maybe a couple hundreds more than these guys...but at the end...they were pricing the job done to completion...NOT as Rent a Painter that they charge per time and do not guaranteed jobs completion.

At the end... after two days of suffering with them... I decided to call one of the "real companies" that gave me estimate for my whole house painting project at the beginning, called them to finish 4 rooms that were left undone by the Rent a Painter guys. This other company...charged a bit more than would have the Rent guys...but they charged for the job... came with 3 professional painters and in 6 hours they painted those 4 rooms: ceilings, walls, trims, doors, baseboards and crown-molding in all of them! 2 coats...perfect finish... and fast... and after they finished they cleaned up and left me with new looking rooms and all tidy as if nothing happened ! They were amazing!

I will definitely call this second company again should I need another job, and of course recommend them to my friends... BUT I WILL NEVER EVER CALL RENT A PAINTING CREW FOR A DAY ...NEVER EVER NEITHER RECOMMEND THEM!

I scheduled painters for 9am today, shelled out $300 for supplies and took the day off of work...I've called their office at least 10x, somebody answered once, said they'd look into it and call me back. That was over an hour ago. I'm SO glad I haven't paid any money yet - this is a SCAM!

The person who is posting about scams/ is a disgruntled ex employee who was fired for making side deals with my customers. I have worked for this loser Travis Reed. He treats the contractor and the home owner as if they are pieces of chit. He is a scam artist. He will text us a price for how many painters go on the job and them invoice the home owner another price. Today 7-27-15 we was working at a house that was supposed to be done in 8 hours. There was no way to paint a 4 bedroom 3 full bathroom hallway foyer dineing room living room also trim. When I texted him and told him I could not get it done in 8 hours time Travis was cussing at me and I gave the phone to the home owner. He changed his attitude and the home owner said she was very happy with the work and she loved the work we had done. She even gave all of us a tip. He texted me a price for 4 painters BUT he sends a invoive to the home owner for another price. Which was more than what he was suppose to pay us. We told her no that is was less than that. The home owner called him and told him the price difference. Travis then sent her a new contract with our pay was -$25 and she had to pay Travis $25 more. How in the hell can you expect someone to do business with a person like that. Since then Travis has called her 4 times for payment and texted her 3 times for the money. But he has texted us several times with threats. It just goes on and on with him. He will threaten ou curse you and be just plain out ruid. He resides in Fl. Bt has many different numbers that goes to a phone that can not be traced. I am turning it over to the FBI so people can stop being scammed by him. BEWARE TRAVIS REED!

Travis Reed is a con artist. He operates from his home and with the help of his wife scam everyone they can. They run ads pretending to be a local painting company in many cities across the nation and use different graphics with the same duplicate info in each of them. Travis gets a job then hires some absolute [censored] random unqualified people off Craigslist gigs section and sends them to the work. You might as well get some homeless guys off the street. Missouripainters.com is his site in Missouri which just forwards to his same network of scams. RENT YOURSELF A PAINTING CREW AND SAVE

I scheduled a job for five painters and the day came and no one showed up. I called the number and spoke to a woman and she said something about the computer acting up. She apologies and said can we reschedule. I'm not the kind of guy that loses his cool, so I said sure. She offered to come the next day and I agreed. The next day came and again no one shows up. Now I call them and when they hear my complaint they hung up on me. I give the benefit of the doubt maybe the cell dropped the call so I call back and they don't answer. I'm over it. I'll hire someone else. Just sucks to take two days off work and drop your kid off at a sitter and also buy the supplies they requested for 5 painters and all of it was for a waist. The fact that the guy hangs up on me though... well that's funny. At least have the decency to apologize. After looking them up and seeing these reviews I guess I should look on the bright side that no one ever showed up.

This guy is a complete joke! I made the previous comment on January 24th and "travis" responded to it 18 hrs ago saying we were competitors trying to slander him. He called us within 30 minutes of the post he made in response to my comment and told us he knows where we live and he's "coming to kill (us) very soon." This guy needs to find a life and a way to make some honest money. I'm sure he'll be calling us back soon after seeing this post. And I'll be laughing at what a joke he is the whole time. Next time, don't call to threaten us on a blocked number. Grow some balls.

This is definitely a scam and you must be part of the scam. Can't believe they are still around all these years later in 2018. Everything these other complaints state is exactly what happened to me last week. I got sent a statement via email to pay via PayPal and the painters didn't even start the job; they left while I was texting "Jane" about inconsistencies in what they were saying and what "Jane" said over the phone and in her email. How can you receive a statement demanding payment if you're supposed to be a professional contractor who supposedly "vetted" the painters, how did you NOT know they had left my house? I thought they were outside waiting while I hashed out things over the phone. I got called names via text by whoever responded to my questions which I thought was funny that they couldn't even spell correctly and then got threatened to come to my house. Good I wasn't offered to suck a d*ck like someone else did. I kept the texts and emails for proof.

The above complaints are obviously by a competitor to slander us..

Just mention you've seen these false reviews online and we will extend a
$50 discount to you. Remember you don't pay the balance of the job to
our painters until you're happy with the work so we guarantee your
satisfaction. This is absolutely a honest day's work for a honest day's
pay. Don't let a angry competitor make up a false review online and make
you go somewhere else to spend more money. That's eactly what they want
you to do so they can get your business!

If your looking to save money on your painting project Please give us a
call for a free no obligation phone consultation. (8OO)376-4066 CALL
TODAY! PAINT TOMORROW! We work 7 days week.

We offer affordable painting crew for the day rates. Each painter can
paint approximately 375 sq feet of production per day. Typically that
would be 2-3 rooms per painter on average. We cannot guarantee that type
of production but we do guarantee the quality of work will be done
professionally. Wall repairs, multiple coats. ceilings, trim and doors
take away from the overall production. Regardless whether you hire us or
someone else to do your painting it should take the same amount of time
and with our lower overhead costs we are able to help you save more
money.

Please feel free to compare our prices to others. We do not have the
extra overhead costs other companies will have. We receive a high call
volume if we had to do an on site evaluation for each person who
inquired about a painting project we would certainly have to raise our
prices. For instance we do not have to pay estimators salaries, gas
costs, parking fees, Maintenance on estimators vehicles, sales
commissions to salespeople and the list goes on. If you are receiving
other quotes simply ask the salesperson how many painters are needed and
how long the job should take and compare their price to ours to see
which best suits your needs. No reason to spend more on an overpriced
estimate. Rent a painting crew for the day and save!

We also get substantial paint store savings up to 60% off at Sherwin
Williams. Our best discount is on Pro Mar 200 brand paint. Some paint
contractors will offer to include the cost of paint in your estimate.
These contractors will be making money off purchasing your paint. You
should use our discount code to save money on your paint. The paint
store salesperson will be happy to give you a color consultation and
they are trained to tell you how much paint to buy and which kind of
paint would work best for you.

We are a fully insured full service painting company. We can do anything
you need done painting related. Our painters are also able to do minor
handyman tasks at no additional costs at the crews discretion. It's a
honest day's work for a honest day's day pay. If you require an
additional day of work we would be happy to get you on the schedule for
the following day or another day that works best for you.

We can do any job big or small but we specialize in small jobs. We
started our painting crew for the day program after researching that
many of our customers weren't getting any return calls from painting
contractors willing to commit their labor force that didn't return
larger dollar amounts. We focus on small jobs ranging from a couple
rooms to a deck that needs to re-stained. Anything that's small that can
be done in 1 day. Another way we help homeowners save money is we
provide all of our top of the line painting equipment so they don't have
to purchase expensive painting equipment that they would not use on a
regular basis.

If you are shopping around with other companies please beware of
companies with no websites, language barriers, or ones who show up with
no company trucks or uniforms these could be potential red flags for fly
by night contractors. Also avoid high priced estimates with contractors
who may rush to complete the job to maximize profits. If our painters
your job early please feel free to find them something else to paint for
the remainder of the 8 hour day.

Our prices can't be beat by a reputable painting company! Why pay
someone else more? You pay our painters at the end of the day once you
are happy with the work so there would be no reason to spend more
anywhere else!

People BEWARE of this company. I just got a new house.. and just wanted to do some accent walls.firstly the dude who answers the phone comes across as very arrogant and rude. I went to sherman williams to get some paint and made arrangements with other painters since they said they could come only on sunday.. I cancelled my appointment with them and I get a call from the same dude screaming that they don't accept cancelations and he was going to report the issue to the credit bureau for a cancelation fee. I was like is this dude drunk.. or he thinks he is talking to an illitrate.for starters he doesn't even have my full names. Neither do we even have any signed contract. Scam smelling all over the transaction. He wants me to pay online half and pay the painter half in cash... that was when I decided to pull out. Beware... This painting company are all bunch of criminals. I am in the process of reporting this case to the HPD. To save fellow houstonians from companies like this.

These must be legitimate complaints because we ordered a painting crew and they never showed up. When we called to find out why Travis made a new appointment for us for later in the week. Well, they didn't show again. I then looked up the phone number for the company and saw these complaints. I called the company back to cancel our job and as soon as i got the words out of my mouth that i wanted to cancel the painters to our house Brooke hung up on me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR YOU WILL BE SORRY YOU HAD!

P.S. I am not a competitor I am just someone that was trying to get some painting done and believed their lies about quality and professional work

I had an appt scheduled with painters from this company. They were supposed to arrive btwn 8-9. The day of the appt, I had a call from another local person that informed me that they would be there btwn 9-10. When it was almost 11, I was contacted by a painter who stated that he didn't have ladders tall enough to reach my taller walls but they would come out anyway. 30 mins later, I get another call from the same painter who stated that he went to pick up one of his guys, who were bringing 2 other guys, and his car had been broken into. I cancelled the painting for that day and told Brooke that I needed them there by 9am the following morning. When they didn't show at 9, I started looking up reviews and found this site. It's a blessing that they never showed up. I will pay more for quality work from people who are professional. I never had to beg anyone to take my money in the past.

These guys are a scam. I was told by the girl booking for them, Brooke, told me that since one painter could do 2-3 rooms a day, 2 painters could do my five rooms in one day. She almost was going to send 3 painters, but she felt two was enough. The painters arrived, I showed them the job and if course they couldn't do it in one day. Their supervisor called me, and we worked out a discount for that day and a reduced rate for the next day all on the premise that they could finish the job in two days. At the end of day 1 I asked one of the painters if they would finish the next day, and he said they would because they would be rolling paint from the start. I paid them as promised and they left at 6pm.
The next day I called at 9:50 am since they were supposed to show at 9:30 am, and I spoke to the same supervisor as the previous day. He said he would find them and call me back. After no call, I called again at 10:10am and was told the crew didn't feel comfortable coming back fearing that I was demanding they be done that day or I wouldn't pay them. I reminded the supervisor that they got paid the day before, and if there were concerns, not showing up was not the way to handle this. I reminded him of Brooke's promise and essentially was called a liar. I kept trying to ask what would it cost if I needed a third day since at best this crew would get to my house at 11am and I did not want them there until 8pm, and he wouldn't answer. He then told me he wasn't sending anyone, so told him I'd call the BBB, and he lost it, telling me to screw myself, that I could suck his d***, and a few other very rude things. If I knew where in Dover, Delaware his office was I would've driven down and gone face to face with this ###. Instead I am dealing with the Attiorney General and will take him to small claims court since I've had to professional painters say the quality of the work done SUCKED.

On Thursday morning I called [protected] to hire 2 painters for 8 hours work which was suppose to start Saturday at 8am. Everything went fine when booking the appointment.

Friday night the painter calls me to confirm and says he'll call me before they head my way in the morning.

Saturday around 7:20am the painter calls again and says his truck won't start and he'll call back once he figures out what the problem is. Well I had not heard from him by 9:40am so I call him and he explains he'll have to come Sunday morning because either his starter or water pump is out. I say no problem, things happen.

Well about an hour later I receive an invoice asking that I prepay (even though their website clearly states NO deposit is required) so I begin calling the same number I called [protected]) when I booked the appointment to figure out what is going on, but no one answered, so after 4 or 5 calls, I left a voicemail expressing my displeasure with the fact that they canceled on me, yet are now requesting a deposit from me which was never mentioned before and goes against everything their website and ads say.

They then text me again from the same number [protected]) and I reply, once again expressing my displeasure to which I received a reply of "f**k you cu*t" ... "suck my d*ck" ... please see my screen shots attached to this post to see the exact text messages'.

Can you imagine the kind of man that talks to a woman like that? Are these the kind of men you want in your house, around you, your family and kids? No doubt these painters are thugs and not the type of people you want to supply your address to nor would you want them roaming around your house.

In my 32 years of life I have never been talked too that way, nor have I ever felt compelled to warn others about a company. However, how he talked to me was beyond inappropriate especially considering this was a business matter.

Please ladies and gents, help me boycott this business. Painters are a dime a dozen and easily replaceable. There is no reason to ever accept verbal abuse like that. I'd never want my sister, mom, brother, family or friends to be treated in this manner.

Thankfully I found another painter on CL who will be coming to my place Sunday and hopefully I'll be able to leave a glowing review of him and his services.

Thanks for reading ... all the best.

For many years we have had to answer to these bad reviews on complaint websites

We have tried to offer discounts to potential clients explaining we do not know is slandering our company.

For quite some time we have been getting harrassing emails and calls from a competitor who calls himself Hartman. They have a website it's http://hartmanup.vsites.com WWW.HARTMANUP.VSITES.COM and some telephone numbers associated with the person are [protected] and [protected].

We have noticed that this person has basically copied our program and lowered prices. We placed in our marketing that we would match/beat any other competitor advertising crew for the day rates. After we added this to our marketing we were contacted via telephone that he's been putting reviews online on complaint websites. He stated that he also tells people who inquire with his company to avoid our company and forwards them links to this [redacted] along with other complaints he has made about us. It has become part of his scheme to take away our business. We have also had potential clients call us and let us know that we we're slandered by this person during his sales pitch and it made them feel uncomfortable that this person would focus so much of his time bashing our company rather than speak to them about their project. This person has also been posting ads on craigslist stating we are a scam and to look at complaints online. We felt the public should know of the slander by this person. This person is now preying on people claiming he is a Veteran and using religious pictures to gain attention from people who are religious and support Veterans.

PLEASE NOTE: These people are advertising for bathroom remodels, kitchen, different kinds of painter for the day rates starting lower than our prices but have options to hire a Master Painter Crew for more than our prices. These people are trying to market everything under the sun on craigslist and clearly have to much time on their hands.

Please see the website I included above to see more of the slander against our company. They went as far as to place lies about us on their website. They have also added lies in there marketing material about us. I have included some images.

We have tried to contact them peacefully and resolve these matters. We were threatened with more bad reviews etc. We just wanted the public to be aware of this issue we have been dealing with and hopefully you would consider trusting us with your business rather than these people who are obviously not professional.

Please call 8OO-376-4066 for a free no obligation phone consultation. We will take an additional $50 off of our everyday low prices because you have seen these false reviews. We would like to earn your business.

Hey Travis! You're a scam artist! That is why they only accept cash!

Your website posted a 'guarantee' which stated 'Our company guarantees all work for a minimum of 2 full years. If you are not 100% satisfied, we will provide an all-new paint crew to remedy the situation to your complete satisfaction'

Once I fell victim to your scam and called to complain about your awful service, you ducked my calls for weeks!
When I finally got ahold of you, you cursed me out and told me to 'go f*%k myself'! I referenced this guarantee and you quickly changed the text and removed that video. Probably because it was full of lies! Good thing I have a screen shot with a time stamp of it, not to mention your texts cursing me out :-)

You're nothing but a low life scam artist.

I booked a crew in TX through this service and I agree that they are 100% incompetent and a fraud. The amount of work they had to do should have taken no more than 4-5 hours yet after their 8 hours of work they were far from complete. The quality of paint they did complete was horrible. There were bald spots, runs, drips everywhere and the ceiling painting was stopped several inches around the entire ceiling and around all light fixtures as well. All they had to do was paint the ceiling and touch up the kitchen in a 325 sqft area. When they were done the house was a wreck. Also, after wrapping up the ceiling fan in plastic, they decided to turn on the light switch (yes the same one that controls the fan), which caused the pull chords to wrap around the shaft and strip the base off the nut, which then tore the wire for the lights. Not only did I have to fix their crappy painting, clean up their mess and buy more brushes because they took the ones I bought with them, but now I have to buy a new ceiling fan as well. I will do my best to ensure this service is never used by anybody I know. The company is horrible at scheduling, horrible at providing skilled paining crews and absolutely the worst at returning calls or emails to correct the negligent work.

We called a reserved three painters two months prior to our painting date with a person named Brooke. We were told no problem, the three guys would go for 8 hours and paint our house without issue. The night before we get a call from the painter, stating that he couldnt get three guys on such short notice (didnt know two months was short notice), and that it would be only him for 8 hours. He stated further that he would bring ladders and tools to complete the job, and that he would be at out house by 8:00 Am. I agreed that this was not ideal, but we would gladly take his help.

The next morning he arrived at 10:00 Am... No ladders... No tools... He then proceeded to complain about the size of our house, and that it was not bid properly. He then ate donuts and drank coffee for about an hour. He then asked if he could smoke on the grounds. We do not have an issue with smokers, so agreed that this would be fine. He then went about his "work". His "work" consisted of smoking, ### about the heat, and doing a total ### job of masking off six windows. We asked that he get on the roof and tape off the remaining windows. He stated that he could not, due to the pitch of the roof being to steep, and that we would have to rent a special ladder for him to do it. We acheived this with our ladders, without issue, while he smoked and watched from the ground. Around 3:30pm he asked for payment of 160.00 for the days work, he then left.

I am not a painter, I do not own a painting service. I am not in anyway shape or form a competitor. This company is a bunch of [censored]bag hacks out to take advantage of honest people looking for help. I paid this "painter" his money to be rid of his ineptness and poor character. I am sure that this "painter" that was sent out to us is a direct reflection of the type of subhumans that run this so called business. I implore all who read this to avoid this company and find a service that can fufill your needs.

Found them on Craigslist and hired 3 painters for the day. Our house is brand new. Just built. The ruined my crown molding, trim and hardwood floors also my carpeting upstairs. Have sent numerous emails and made numerous calls with no avail! Spoke to Jane twice and Brooke once. Total ripoff and I'm also convinced the one painter was high on something. Anyone actually get through to these people?

Completely concur with the complaint. My wife booked these guys and had lengthy emails/conversations. She told them the exact number of rooms/size estimates. We described that we needed the living room, dining room, foyer, short 12 step stairway, 4 bedrooms, and 900 sq ft basement repainted. Travis is a fraud. He and another employee (forget her name, not Brooke) told us on the phone and in emails that 8 hours and 4 painters were all that we needed.

The painters arrive at 845 and after a quick tour of the premises, the painting team head tells me that he cannot finish painting the house in 8 hours. I tell him that Travis told my wife that all would be done today. He said there is no way they can finish. He calls Travis and I proceed to talk to him. Synopsis of conversation: They will provide "honest 8 hours of painting" but can't guarantee house will be painted. Provides no alternatives on when they can finish. I tell him repeatedly that he told my wife the house would be done with the 4 painters and 8 hours. Conversation ended with Travis calling me a "F'ing @$$hole."

Seriously? We checked and double checked all the details and on the day of painting, it's the old bait and switch. Now when confronted with actual facts and evidence of the terms with emails, Travis just tells the painters to go home and swears at me on the phone.

So we are left without painters and one week away from moving in. My wife calls and talk to Brooke and gets another set of painters to come out the next day. The painters arrive on time but do not finish the job. So that's $700 + $100 tip.

They send one guy out the following day to finish up. He was the slowest painter on record. Putting on a second coat in two bedrooms and one bathroom took over 4 HOURS!

The coup de grace was the outlets. The first set of painters took off all the outlet covers and then dumped them in a corner in the basement. The one guy tried to put back all the outlet covers but then the screws didn't match up so now we are left with barren outlets in two rooms.

This guy is a scammer. I should have googled his info before. If you look on Angie's list, it says he's in Alabama, not the DC area.

Travis is the owner of this company and he is a complete fraud. The customers complaint above is true and it happened to me as well. This guy changes his name every couple months to avoid detection. The Painters, The Painting Crew, Arizona Painting Crew, Denver Painting Crew...the list goes on. I am out of pocket $2400 and my house and floors are destroyed...
