Not Worth the Frustration: My Experience with PBTeen's Unreliable Service
I went on pbteen.com and decided to buy some gifts for my grandkids. I put in an order on December 1, 2015, and they said it would come by December 9th. I got excited and started counting down the days, but when I checked on December 9th, it hadn't come. I called them up and they said they were running a little late, but that it would definitely arrive by December 16th. I believed them and let it go.
Imagine my frustration when the products still didn't ship as they had promised. I went back to their site to try and get an update on my order status, but the status always said "unavailable." How could it be unavailable? Was my order even being processed? I was starting to feel like they had just taken my money and ran, without any consideration for their own customers.
I decided to make a complaint and the following day, my order status was updated to "in process", but it never changed after that. I continued calling them everyday, trying to get some sense out of them, but always got the same answer. I thought I had done everything in advance for Christmas, but the unreliable service of this website made me run out and buy last-minute gifts for my grandkids. I was so angry about the lack of commitment and truthfulness regarding the order status.
And then, they offered me a compensation of a $25 PBTeen gift card, but the order was worth $376. How could that be adequate compensation? I had to spend even more money because their service was so terrible. It wasn't until four weeks later that I received a partial order on December 24th, right on Christmas Eve. The box was so poorly packaged that it practically arrived damaged. It was crushed from the bottom and parts of it were dented.
As of December 27th, I'm still waiting for the other part of my order. I doubt I'll ever buy anything from this company again. They took my money, promised a delivery date, and never fulfilled their end of the bargain. If they couldn't handle the Christmas volume, they should've made sure to inform their customers about their shipping schedule when I placed the order. I couldn't even cancel my order because I had gotten personalized products that aren't returnable. How could I return something I didn't even have yet?
I plan on writing to their corporate office to let them know how unhappy I am with their service. I'd want to make sure this never happens to anyone else.
PBteen.com Review: A Nightmare Before Christmas - Late delivery, out-of-stock items, damaged goods, and terrible customer service
So, I ordered some cool stuff from pbteen.com in late November 2015. I was super excited to see my personalized items! The website said they would be delivered on December 7th. But guess what? That day came and went without any delivery in sight. Being a normal human being, I was pretty upset, and called customer service on December 8th to ask what's up. I was told that half of my order was out of stock and wasn't expected to be available until February...NEXT YEAR! That's a long time to wait, y'all. Since I was ordering some Christmas presents, that just wouldn't fly. So, I had to cancel the out of stock items and find similar items that were apparently in stock. According to customer service, these items would be delivered by December 21st. But on December 17th, I still hadn't received a shipping confirmation, so I called again. This time, I was told that there was a delay in personalized items, but PBT promised me that the delivery would be guaranteed by December 24th. Okay, that made me feel a little better.
But guess what? On December 23rd, I called to get the tracking numbers and was told that the items were still in the fulfillment center and had not been processed yet. At this point, y'all, I was fed up. My Christmas presents were not going to make it to their intended recipients. I had to cancel the order and request a credit to be issued to my credit card since they'd charged me when I placed the order. The credit was issued on December 28th, but was re-charged on December 29th. I was getting pretty annoyed at this point.
But wait, there's more! Today, January 6th, a package arrived from PB Teen. But get this... It was only one item from my order! The packing slip said that everything was supposed to be in the box. And to make matters worse, the item I received was damaged! Someone had tried to cover up the scratches with magic marker and white out. Like, really? That was the best they could do? I spent an HOUR on the phone with customer service just to be told that I can only get a credit if I return the item. Are you kidding me? I asked to speak to a manager, but was disconnected. This has been by far the worst shopping experience I've ever had, and you can bet I won't be shopping with them again. I guess my only option is to dispute the charges with my credit card company. Ugh.
Avoid PBTeen at all costs, Horrible Customer Service: Our Experience with Pottery Barn Teen
I wanna tell you something straight up, don't make the same mistake as we did and try to make business with PBTeen (or Pottery Barn in general), even though some people think that they have the goods.
Listen to this, we ordered two times from these guys. The first time was for a bedsheet set, but what they sent was not the same color we ordered, and they did this four times! Can you believe that? We were already annoyed but gave them one more chance with the bed we ordered, which they said was their "best seller." When it got here, we noticed that the slats were upside down and the side rails were out of sync. We called customer service, and they said they would check with the factory to make sure the next one was okay before shipping it out to us. It took 21 days for the new bed to arrive, and guess what? It had the same problem! We were not happy, and we sent it back again. This time, we decided to give them another chance, and they promised to make it right. But the third time they sent it, it had the same exact problem, and this time they tried to cover it up with wood putty! I was so frustrated, my son had been waiting for two months at this point, so I just let the assembly guys set it up.
I decided to email their customer relations, but they never called me back or wrote me back. It made me so mad.
Don't make the same mistake as me. They have some serious quality control and customer service concerns. It's not fair that customers have to put up with this nonsense in this day and age where e-commerce is prevalent. Avoid PBTeen at all costs!
PBTeen Bedding Set Review: Disappointing Quality & Poor Customer Service
I gotta say, my experience with PBTeen was a bit of a disappointment. Made a purchase for the Aiden Stripe Deluxe Comforter set (complete with sheet set, pillowcase, pillow inserts, and a blanket) for my son's dorm room a few weeks ago for a hefty cost of $222. Shipping was aight, but the rest of the experience was not swell.
Here's the scoop: I thought I scored a sweet deal at first, considering that the original price is $325. However, a few days after my purchase, I spot the same set on sale for $200. I tried getting in touch for a price adjustment, but no dice. Also, the poor quality of the product did not justify the cost at all, even at $200, let alone at the original price.
The quality of these sheets is, well, the worst. And I have been buying sheets for a good 30 years now. Washing them up with fabric softener didn't help, and even my son, who is not picky about sheets, said they felt like sandpaper. Not the kind of feel you want when you're trying to catch some zzzs.
Oh, but wait, there's more. The blanket that came in the set left lint all over the fresh new sheets. Even after repeat washings and dryings, the darn thing was driving me nuts. I seriously had to use a massive, floor-sized lint roller about eight times just to get the lint off of his new sheets. Ain't nobody got time for that.
Returning the whole set was not even an option, as it would have been a total pain in the booty, and at this point, too costly. So, we gave up on the sheets and the blanket, but still continue to use the other items from the set. However, the quality of those isn't the greatest either. They feel inferior to what I'm used to from Pottery Barn.
When I reached out to them to express my dissatisfaction, the response was impersonal and quite frankly, lacking in any empathy for the problem. They didn't offer any alternatives and refused to give me a $20 price adjustment until I had to get my credit card company involved.
All in all, I wouldn't recommend PBTeen for bedding. Sorry, not sorry.
Terrible Experience with Pottery Barn Teen: Broken Ornaments, Endless Payment Authorizations, and Delays
My experience with Pottery Barn Teen was absolutely terrible. Despite ordering three ornaments on September 13, the items were not in stock and there was no realistic timeframe for delivery. To add insult to injury, Pottery Barn reauthorized my payment a total of 7 times, leaving me without access to those funds.
Even worse, the HARRY POTTER Patronus Light-up Ornament was severely damaged upon arrival, with broken horns and missing tips. Although I have a label to return it, my faith in Pottery Barn is seriously shaken.
To make matters worse, the HARRY POTTER The Golden Egg Light-up Ornament arrived with visible scratches, further adding to my frustration. And although the HARRY POTTER MIRROR OF ERISED Antique Gold Ornament finally arrived on November 3, it was one full month later than the delivery date indicated at the time of purchase.
I have no doubt that I will have to fight tooth and nail to get my funds back, and I regret ever doing business with Pottery Barn Teen. Their stock issues and poor customer service have left me with a sour taste in my mouth, and I would not recommend them to anyone. Lesson learned: never trust a company that doesn't allow actual consumers to leave reviews on their website.
PBTeen: An Online Furniture Shopping Experience Filled with Frustrations and Disappointments
I went on pbteen.com to purchase a Large Elsie Desk for my daughter and I must say, the entire experience was not as smooth as I had hoped. While I did have a 20% coupon to use, I was unable to apply it to furniture. I tried to use my military discount as well, but unfortunately, I couldn't use both at the same time. This was frustrating as I could have used both discounts at a PB store instead of just online.
Given the current pandemic situation, I was wary of letting anyone into my home. Therefore, I asked if I could waive the White Glove delivery fee, but the representatives informed me that this was not possible. Additionally, I also added a gold Pinboard to my order, but they were unable to ship my desk because they were waiting for the Pinboard to arrive at the warehouse. Although online stated that these two items would ship separately, this was not the case. I had to wait for weeks for both items to arrive, which was frustrating after paying a lot of money for delivery.
Throughout this entire experience, I had to call customer service several times, and I noticed that it took a long time for them to respond. One representative told me that the Pinboard arrived, and they were waiting for the desk, while another rep told me the opposite. I was tempted to cancel the Pinboard, but it was on backorder. Finally, when both items arrived, the delivery team dropped them off in my garage unassembled. This was not what I was expecting.
The Pinboard wasn't perfect as it had a few scratches, but since it was their last one, I was given a slight discount. As for the desk, it was just average quality, and I expected more for the price that I paid. The interior drawers were not finished, and it looked rough and light-washed, which was unexpected. Moreover, the drawers did not have gliders like the center drawer, making it hard to pull them out. I worry that over time, the wood may chip due to the pulling.
After checking the measurements online, I placed an order for a swivel chair in April, which has been on backorder until mid-August. Prices overall were quite high, but I only made this purchase because my PB Rewards were about to expire. I also noticed that the inventory and selection of fabric choices were lacking and kept changing. In contrast, they do have great sales from time to time, like their 30-50% off clearance.
However, when I was browsing, I found it could be frustrating shopping for products that weren't available, even though they were advertised. Limited time sale items and Roxy items couldn't even apply coupons. Added to this, there are no local stores near me, and I couldn't preview any of the products before my purchase. It would have been great if PBTeen had stores located next to all PB stores. Finally, the website needs updating with correct specifications and customer reviews reinstated. Chat service was slow, and I had to wait via email for answers to my questions regarding measurements.
Overall, while my daughter is happy with her new desk, it was a stressful experience in the end. I hope that PBTeen takes the feedback into account to make the process easier for customers in the future.
Pottery Barn Teen Review: A Disaster from Start to Finish
This is just me telling y'all about my recent experience with Pottery Barn Teen. First off, let me tell you, it was an absolute disaster. I mean, if they have a VP of Marketing or Customer Care, they need to let them go, because things were just not right.
So here's the deal. I ordered a Pottery Barn Teen Sectional for my teenage daughter, because she's been asking for one for a while now. Wanted to make her happy, you know? Anyway, before ordering, I thought it would be a good idea to ask for a fabric sample, just so I could see how it would look in person. But when I called customer service, they told me they couldn't help me with that and that I had to go to the closest store to get it, even though it was more than 40 miles away from my place. Come on, now. That's just ridiculous.
Anyway, I decided to go through with my order, hoping for the best. But oh boy, was I wrong. At the very end of the ordering process, I found out that the item was backordered for 8 weeks. You'd think they would've let me know at the beginning, right? Nope, they waited until I was about to pay for it. So I had to wait 8 weeks, which was already a long time, but I was willing to do it for my daughter.
Then 8 weeks passed, and I still hadn't received it. I sent an email to customer service, but no response. So I decided to call them. I was on hold for a good 30 minutes, but finally found out that my sectional was going to be shipped in mid-September, which was about 10 weeks from when I ordered it. Finally, something was happening.
But when the boxes arrived, things got even worse. Instead of 5 pieces of the sectional, I received 4 pieces and a very large bookcase, which I didn't even order. And the worst part? They left it on my driveway! I mean, what kind of service is that? They didn't even require a customer signature, which I specifically asked for. How irresponsible can you get?
So I called customer service, but they told me that because my items were "non-returnable," they couldn't generate a return UPS ticket. What kind of excuse is that? Then they told me I had to drive the bookcase to a Pottery Barn store. Um, excuse me. Do they know how heavy and big that thing is? There's no way I'm doing that. After several escalations, they finally found a way to generate a UPS ticket for the return of the bookcase, and I also got a new ticket for the missing sectional piece.
But then they messed up again. The representative ordered an entire sectional, not just the one missing piece! Can you believe it? I had to call customer service again to cancel the sectional and reorder just one piece of it. And to top it all off, it's not even going to arrive until December! I mean, I ordered it in July! This is just unacceptable.
So now, my daughter is stuck with 4/5 of a sectional, and we're still waiting for the missing piece. I asked to speak to a manager, but the wait is so long, I'm not even sure if they'll call me back. It's just a mess.
So my advice to y'all is this - if you have 6 months to spare and you want to wait for very basic items that are of marginal quality, then sure, give Pottery Barn Teen a try. But if you don't want to waste your time and money, stay away. Trust me on this one.
Deceptive Advertising and Lack of Customer Service: My Unhappy Experience with PB Teen
Bought couple beanbags on PBteen's website because of the free shipping, which I really appreciated. But when I tried to purchase, the shipping wasn't free at all. Instead it charged me $10 extra for shipping, which I thought wasn't bad, so I still went ahead with the purchase. However, upon receiving the confirmation, I saw that the shipping charge was way more than expected: $33.80, on top of a $20 surcharge. What happened? Was it my mistake? Confused and a bit annoyed, I tried to call customer service to cancel my order. But during the next hour or so, I was transferred from one person to another and got no answer. Frustrated, I also tried calling my local store for help, but was met with unhelpful staff who didn't have the beanbags I wanted in stock.
The next day, I decided to walk to the PB Teen store near my work to figure things out. There, the manager informed me that I couldn't get free shipping because I ordered beanbag covers and inserts together. Additionally, she didn't have the two beanbags that I ordered in stock, which was weird because she had apparently checked for someone else just the day before (turned out, it was me!). She suggested that I could have called the store to buy the covers online without paying for shipping, and then just buy the inserts at the store. It was helpful advice, but I couldn't help but feel annoyed that the same person I spoke to the day before, who rushed me off the phone, was now suddenly full of helpful information. At least, I finally found someone who could help me out.
The manager advised me to cancel my order by calling customer service, so I asked her to do it for me since I had no luck getting through. Miraculously, she got someone on the phone immediately. But the bad news was that my order had already been processed, so I had to decide what to do next.
Upset and angry, I began to wonder if this kind of disconnect with their customers was a common thing at Pottery Barn. I've purchased a lot of furniture from PB and PB Kids in the past, including living, dining, and bedroom sets, and have always had great customer service. But this experience with PB Teen was just terrible, from the false advertising about free shipping to the unhelpful staff and lack of communication. I can't speak to the quality of the beanbags yet since I haven't received them, but I won't be purchasing from PB Teen again. This is my first negative review of the company, and it's well deserved.
Frustrating and Unprofessional Experience with Pottery Barn Teen - A Review
I had an experience with Pottery Barn Teen (pbteen.com) that was incredibly frustrating, disorganized, and unprofessional. I placed an order for my daughter's birthday present, which included a full-sized bed and mattress, desk and hutch, and a nightstand, on August 18, 2020. Despite waiting patiently for four months, the mattress never arrived, and my daughter was forced to sleep in my office for six months while we awaited its arrival.
Throughout this time, I received monthly emails stating that the mattress would be shipped the following month, but each time I spoke to an employee, they could only apologize and offer no solutions. When I requested a refund for the mattress, I was told I would still have to pay shipping even though the mattress had not yet shipped, which seemed unreasonable and unfair.
Things took a turn for the worse when I received an email on February 13, 2021, stating that the mattress had been delivered at 7:39 AM. However, it had not been delivered, and when I called customer service, I received conflicting information about when it would arrive. I was also left on hold for long periods of time and was unable to speak to a manager.
When I finally did speak with a supervisor, they were unable to track down the driver or find a solution to the problem. They also informed me that they would not be able to investigate until the following week since the Hickory Hub was closed on weekends and they were off for Valentine's Day.
Overall, my experience with Pottery Barn Teen was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I would not recommend this company to anyone based on my experience. I hope that they will take steps to improve their customer service and communication in the future.
Pottery Barn Teen Review: Nightmare Experience with Delivery & Customer Service
My experience with Pottery Barn Teen has been nothing short of a nightmare. Let me tell you all about it. I ordered and paid for a Sleep & Study loft bed back in August, but I'm still waiting for delivery. The estimated delivery window was delayed multiple times, and when I called customer service to inquire why, they gave me the runaround. It wasn't until I made multiple calls that I finally got a straight answer.
When the bed finally arrived, the delivery team informed me that they didn't have all the necessary parts to assemble it. They told me to wait a few more weeks, but as someone who paid a lot of money for this bed, I was outraged. I called customer service again to try and expedite things, but I kept getting unhelpful responses. No one seemed to care that they were wasting my time and money.
To add insult to injury, when I received a notification that my delivery was complete, I was shocked. They hadn't even delivered the bed! It was like they didn't care about me as a customer at all. I tried to speak with someone from management, but I'm not even sure if I ever got transferred to someone with the power to help me.
Finally, after weeks of waiting and multiple calls, I was told that the bed rails could be delivered on a certain day, but even that didn't go smoothly. The delivery team showed up late, and I couldn't even get through to customer service to find out where they were. It was an absolute mess.
Overall, I would never recommend Pottery Barn Teen to anyone. The lack of care and concern for their customers is unacceptable. If I could dispute the charges with my credit card company, I would. I'm out a lot of money and still don't have the bed I paid for. Buyers beware!

Pottery Barn Teen Review: Nightmare Customer Service and Late Delivery
I gotta get this off my chest, man. I thought Pottery Barn Teen was gonna be the way to go for my son's new futon and mattress set, but it's turned into a total nightmare. I'm usually not one to leave a negative review, but this has been two months of pure frustration.
I placed my order weeks ago and still haven't received my stuff. They keep telling me it's at the delivery hub, but I haven't seen hide nor hair of it. Every time I try to email or get a hold of customer service, I'm just promised a delivery phone call that never comes. And let me tell ya, I've tried it all - the social media team, the customer service line, you name it. But nothing seems to get through to 'em.
I mean, can somebody just care enough to follow up on my order? It can't be that hard, right? But apparently, it is. Nobody seems to know what's going on or how to fix the problem. Last I heard, there's a delivery date in their system that I never knew about and can't be here to accept. And when I ask if they can change it, they just wanna pass me off to somebody else.
I don't know if it's just sheer uncaring or straight-up incompetence, but either way, it's not a good look. And when I called today, they had the nerve to tell me they don't have enough time to follow up on customer concerns. Are you kidding me? That's no way to treat your customers.
In short, I wouldn't recommend Pottery Barn Teen to anybody. If you want good customer service and furniture that actually arrives on time, look somewhere else. Save yourself the headache, man.
Pottery Barn Teen - Terrible Customer Service Experience & Late Delivery
Ordered a bunch of new furniture from Pottery Barn Teen (pbteen.com) for my daughter’s room around 3 months ago. At that time, I had pretty much made up my mind to go with this store as they seemed quite trustworthy and professional, not to mention stylish and modern. They had also mentioned in August that the items would be available in October, which was fine with me given that we had to shift homes in September anyway.
Initially, it all seemed good and everything was going as per the plan. But then things began to take a different turn altogether. The delivery dates kept getting pushed back multiple times and ultimately, they shifted it to another whole month until November! Although I was disappointed, I decided to wait and give them the benefit of the doubt.
However, even after the new arrival date passed, I still waited and hoped for the best. But as days went by, my patience had started to dwindle. So I finally decided to call their customer service line to get an update on the situation. But can you believe it, I was on HOLD for a whopping 41 minutes! This was a nightmare!
When I finally spoke with someone, they kept transferring me from one person to the other without even informing me. It was so frustrating to waste my time on the phone, waiting for somebody to update me on the delivery status. This whole ordeal had lasted for around 45 minutes now and my order status was still unknown. I was at my wit’s end and had completely lost faith in them.
As a paying customer, I felt disrespected and let down by their terrible customer service. It seemed as if they really didn’t care about their customers at all! This was my first experience with Pottery Barn Teen and I have to say it was an absolute disaster. I cannot recommend them to anyone and I certainly won’t be doing business with them ever again!
Disappointing Purchase from Pottery Barn Teen: Uncomfortable Sectional and Terrible Customer Service
So, lemme tell ya, I'm super bummed about this purchase from Pottery Barn Teen. Bought it for my kid, and what a letdown it was. First of all, it showed up way later than they said it would, and get this - it came in three stinkin' separate deliveries! Like, are you kidding me? I called customer service a bunch of times, and almost nobody knew where this dang order was. Except for a lady named Dorcas, shoutout to her because she was decent. But everyone else was useless. And they kept promising to call me back, and guess what? They never did. Classic, amirite?
Anyway, I was supposed to get this sectional by a certain day, like three times, and it kept not showing up. Finally got it last week and BOY was I disappointed. Sure, it looked like it was put together alright, but let me tell ya, it was the most uncomfortable thing I've ever had the misfortune to sit on. Ain't no way that thing is worth the 400 bucks I paid for it. Feels like I'm sittin' on a cheap foam toy or something. And to make it worse, it makes this crunchy noise every time you sit down. Ain't nobody got time for that.
So, get this, I took three freakin' days off work to wait for these deliveries, and they didn't even show up. And then I had to spend even MORE time on the phone with customer service, which was like torture, let me tell ya. Now I'm stuck with this awful sectional that my dog won't even lay on. Ain't that just the cherry on top?
Honestly, I should have seen this comin'. I couldn't find any reviews on it, and I usually trust Pottery Barn. Never had a bad experience with them before. But I guess you live and you learn, right? Lesson learned, Pottery Barn Teen, lesson learned.

PBTeen.com: Great Products, Frustrating Shipping Policies
I was browsing pbteen.com and let me tell you, I was skeptical. I mean, the whole Williams-Sonoma/PB/etc group can be hit or miss. But I decided to give it a shot and was pretty happy with what I found.
Now, I know people have complained about their brick and mortar stores being empty, but I don't really think that's a good indicator of the quality of their products. And honestly, who shops in physical stores these days anyways? I much prefer online shopping.
That being said, I do have to agree that their shipping policies can be pretty frustrating. It's like they don't understand that if you're already spending a lot of money, you don't want to pay even more for shipping. I mean, come on. Almost every other online retailer offers free shipping over a certain price point. But not pbteen.com. Nope, they'd rather make you pay more, regardless of the weight of your items.
For example, I ordered a duvet cover and pillow cases and had to pay $14 for shipping. I found that to be a bit too much, especially since my items weren't even heavy. But I really liked the pattern and it was on sale, so I decided to go for it anyways.
The frustrating part was that even though I paid for standard shipping, my items didn't ship for a few days. The label got generated, but then they just left it for the courier service to pick up. That kind of service would be unacceptable for $14, especially since other retailers offer 2-day ground or USPS priority shipping for smaller items like duvet covers.
Overall, I'm cautiously recommending pbteen.com. While I did find some great deals on their website, their shipping policies could be a bit more customer-friendly. But if you're willing to put up with a little extra cost and wait time, then their products might just be worth it.
Pottery Barn Teen's Website: A Rip-Off & Abysmal Customer Service
Wow, let me tell you about my experience with Pottery Barn Teen's website, pbteen.com. So, this company only has a few store locations in the U.S., which means that you can’t touch or feel their products before buying. What’s crazy is that their shipping and return policy, process, and service is absolutely abominable - and I’m not exaggerating!
Their products sure do look nice, but unless you are 100% sure you want to keep it, DO NOT ORDER. They charge you for shipping, and if you want to return an item, they charge you for shipping again. And get this - even if you return an item on your own dime, they’ll still charge you a percent of the item. What a total rip-off!
But that’s not all. When I returned two items that were received SIX WEEKS AGO, I still haven't received any credits. What's going on there? And I can't even call customer service without waiting on hold for at least 24 minutes. I've had two agents tell me they’d be right back and never come off hold, and a third agent that couldn’t even hear me when I asked for a supervisor. This is not like Walmart.
I spent over $2000 bucks redecorating two of my kids' rooms, and with all of the time I spent chasing the returns, I could’ve just hired a personal decorator. I wouldn’t even give Pottery Barn Teen a quarter of a star if I were to rate them. I’m counting down the days until the final credit gets issued so I can cancel my card fast enough.
So, if you’re thinking about buying from Pottery Barn Teen, just don’t. It’s not worth the hassle, trust me.
PBteen Review: Nightmare Customer Service and Unacceptable Delays
Had a nightmare experience with PBteen. Ordered my daughter's bed in June and was given a lead time of September. However, that got pushed back to January which was unacceptable so I cancelled and ordered a different bed. The new bed had a lead time of Sep 10-17 and everything seemed to be going smoothly. I even decorated my daughter's room and received other furniture items from PBteen. But when I called them last week for a delivery date, they told me they made a mistake and the bed wouldn't be in until Monday 17th.
I asked to speak to a supervisor but was transferred to the NJ hub where I was on hold for 92 minutes before giving up. Called again today and got transferred FIVE times to different people before speaking to Deborah in the NJ hub. She told me that some parts of the bed had arrived but not all and couldn't give me a firm date on when the rest would arrive.
When I asked for someone to call me back with an update, she told me they don't do that. Seriously? I'm at a loss as to what to do. I have no confidence that the bed will actually arrive and if I hadn't already decorated the room and received some of the items, I would cancel the order. PBteen clearly doesn't care about their customers and their service is unacceptable. Avoid at all costs.
Disappointing Experience with Pottery Barn Teen Customer Service and Delivery During Pandemic
Man, let me tell you about my experience with Pottery Barn Teen (pbteen.com). Now, I ain't no grammar expert, but I gotta say that the pandemic has really messed up their customer service and delivery process. It's a real shame, 'cause I thought they were supposed to be professionals and all. Anyway, I spent a ton of money on furniture over the past year, and let me tell you, it was a real headache.
After waiting for 6 months, they finally "scheduled" my furniture for delivery, but then it got cancelled not once, but twice, by some customer service rep who I couldn't even get in touch with. I mean, come on! I must've talked to 10 different people during this whole process, including one guy named Juan who said he was a supervisor and promised to follow up with me on Monday, but then disappeared off the face of the earth. I spent hours on hold just trying to find out what was going on, only to get a run around. It was a total $#*! show.
So, I had to order a whole different bed from them, and then fight tooth and nail to get my money back for the first order that got cancelled. I even had to get my credit card company involved. And get this - here we are, 8 months later, during Christmas week, and I'm getting emails saying that my first bed is ready for delivery. Can you believe it? I cancelled that thing back in October, because they couldn't even communicate with the vendor to get me reimbursed.
Now, I gotta say, the delivery workers were fantastic. They really kept their cool and were super helpful throughout this whole mess. But honestly, I'm done with PBT. It's just not worth the time, money, and energy. I wouldn't recommend them to anybody.
Pottery Barn Teen: Unreliable Delivery, Poor Customer Service - A Nightmare Experience!
So, on July 24th of last year, I ordered a cool lounge set from Pottery Barn Teen for my teenage daughter's room. I ordered some other items at the same time. When I was on the website, it said it would take 8-10 weeks to deliver the lounge set.
But, when I got the confirmation email and paid for everything, I saw that the delivery was going to be between February 13th and February 20th. That's, like, 7 months away! This is for a small 3-piece sectional! I was so mad right away!
I called them up as soon as I saw the email to try and cancel the lounge set part of the order. BUT, I was on hold for more than an hour and no one ever answered! SO, I had to hang up. I tried again the next morning and finally got through to a nice person in customer service.
She said she would send an email to the vendor and cancel the lounge set part of the order. The lady told me that she had never seen a delivery date that far out before! She also said that I would get a confirmation email saying the order was cancelled in a couple of days.
But, guess what happened? I never got a confirmation email from them at all! I tried calling them back many times, but I was always on hold for so long that I had to hang up because I needed to work too! The customer service lady was nice on the phone, but I think she just wanted to tell me what I wanted to hear and not actually help me get the order cancelled.
I feel like they're playing games with me! I read some reviews online and other people have had problems with this too! They need to hire more service reps because they always say that they're experiencing higher call volumes. It's ridiculous!
If they don't do something soon to help me out, I'm going to sue them for unfair trade practices and RICO violations! I wish I had read these reviews before I ordered from them. I don't have any resolution for my order yet and it's been seven months! I would have never ordered anything that took seven months to get! No cool lounge set is worth all of this hassle!
Pottery Barn Teen Review: Nightmare Customer Service & Endless Waits for Orders
So, I heard a lotta folks talkin' 'bout Pottery Barn Teen (pbteen.com), and I thought I'd give 'em a try. Big mistake, y'all. I ordered me a loft bed a while back, and it took 'em months to get it to me. But, I thought, maybe that was just 'cause it was a big ol' piece of furniture, so I decided to try again with some smaller items. Well, let me tell you, I was sorely disappointed once again, friends.
I put in an order on August 3, 2019 for a lil' desk chair, some sheets, and a piller to match. And you know what? I waited and waited, and kept trackin' my order over the next couple months, all the way into October. But, get this: they kept authorizin' charges on my card, sometimes up to eight different times! Thank goodness I was usin' a credit card, not a debit one, or I'd be outta some serious dough.
Finally, I just had to give up and call their customer service line today, November 2. But, y'all, let me tell you, it was an absolute nightmare. I called at 8:30 in the mornin', and the lady who answered the phone was definitely still in bed. I told her I wanted to cancel my order 'cause it had been three whole months and I still ain't got my dang items. She proceeded to mumble and sound like she was strugglin' with her headset, so I could hardly even hear her. Then, she told me my order was flagged for potential fraud and was on hold. I was completely flabbergasted by this, 'cause I hadn't heard nothin' about it before.
So, I asked her why nobody had contacted me to confirm the order, and she said she'd transfer me. But, even after three or four minutes, I could still hear her fumblin' with the headset and tryin' to get me to the right person. I kept sayin' "hello" over and over, but all I got was some music playin' on the line. Eventually, I got transferred to the furniture delivery center, and they told me the customer service line wouldn't even be open 'til 10 in the mornin'. I mean, come on now. I ain't got time for all this nonsense.
Long story short, folks, I ain't never shoppin' with Pottery Barn Teen again. Three months of waitin', tons of credit card charges, and the worst customer service I've ever experienced? No thank you. Buy at your own risk, y'all.
Pbteen.com fails to deliver on Christmas promise and offers poor customer service
pbteen.com does not live up to its promises. I had a terrible experience with them that will keep me from shopping with them again. Back in November, I made a sizeable $400 order with Christmas items that were on my daughters' Christmas wish list. Some of these items contained personalisation. The Christmas delivery timeframe was a guarantee. However, about two weeks before Christmas, I felt uneasy because I had not received any notification about where my items were; the only status update I received was that the items were "in Process." Despite these concerns, I was reassured that the delivery would go as promised before Christmas Eve, which didn't happen. On Christmas Eve, the UPS man arrives with one box, and three of the items I had ordered are missing. I became very upset and made my husband help the UPS guy look for another box, assuming that it had to be there. The box was not there, however.
We attempted to call for customer service on Christmas Eve, and were hit with the worst customer service experience I have ever witnessed. The support representative was dismissive, lacking in sympathy, and offered us a 20% discount on our next order, which to me seemed absurd at the time. We requested a manager intervention, but our contact information was only taken for the call to be returned later, which never happened.
On 2nd January, we still hadn't received our ordered items. Customer services said that the best they could do was to send us the ordered blanket for free to make amends, with an estimated delivery time for October, which to me was insane considering it was supposed to arrive by Christmas 2020. As for the headphones, they could only refund up to a total of 40%, which seemed like a meager gesture.
I honestly just want my money back and I don't wish to revisit their website again. pbteen.com has failed to meet customer expectations on many levels.
