Phoenix Financial Group reached out to us in April regarding a tax issue. Initially, we were open to discussing the matter with them, but it quickly became apparent that they were quite pushy. We decided to do some research and found negative reviews about their business practices. Despite politely declining their services multiple times through phone calls and emails, they persistently continued to contact us. One individual in particular, Chris H (***), has been especially persistent. On August 5th, I explicitly stated, "I have already declined your services multiple times." However, on August 25th, PFG contacted me again, this time regarding outstanding payroll liabilities. I firmly responded, "NO. If I receive any further communication from your company, I will report you to the ComplaintsBoard.com and other agencies. Please move on." On September 4th, PFG reached out once more, emphasizing the urgency of resolving tax problems. At this point, I have chosen to stop responding. These individuals simply won't leave us alone, hence the reason for this complaint.

I hired PFG in 05 to help with my taxes. From 05 to 04, they didn't do much and didn't resolve anything. While I was doing what I needed to do, PFG couldn't assist me or support me. I paid around $2000.00 for their help. Communication was bad, they didn't follow up much, so I had to follow up and ask many times. It made things harder and more stressful. In early 2021, when I was ready to deal with the IRS, PFG said I needed to pay another $1500 because it took so long. Since they already knew my case, I went ahead. On 04, I paid them another $1500. But I still have the same problems, and now the IRS agent says they missed a few deadlines, which has put me, my family, and my business in a worse situation. I have proof. If they had done what they said, I wouldn't be in this situation now.

Phoenix Financial Group has been contacting our small business for the past 4 years, constantly calling us to offer their services. Last year, I finally decided to listen to what they had to say, as we were behind on our taxes. After explaining our situation in detail, they claimed they could assist us, but it would take around 6-8 months to complete. I was completely transparent with them, assuring them that I had nothing to hide and providing all the necessary information they requested. Although I may not have been prompt in my responses, I did my best given the circumstances I was facing.

To get started, we made an initial payment of $1500. However, approximately 5-6 months later, without any prior notice, I received an email stating that if we wanted to proceed with the IRS, we would need to pay an additional $10,000 in 3-4 installments. This came as a surprise, and I immediately expressed my desire for a settlement offer or a payment plan with the IRS. Unfortunately, this never materialized, and I continued to focus on my business and family.

On January 7th, I received another email stating that I had not been assigned a revenue officer, which seemed odd considering the amount of time we had been dealing with Phoenix Financial Group. In early February , I reached out to them, asking whether I should start paying the most recent or the oldest back taxes. While waiting for a response, I went ahead and paid all of 2019 and the first quarter of 2020. However, on March 18th, I received yet another email from Phoenix Financial Group, stating that in order to proceed with my case, they would need an additional $2500. At this point, I am unsure about the status of my case, especially since we have already spent over $10,000 and have not received any official documentation regarding how the money has been used to resolve our case.

As I read reviews on the ComplaintsBoard.com (ComplaintsBoard.com) website, I became even more confused. One reviewer, Jake M, claimed to owe over $225,000 but settled for only $35,000. It seems that Phoenix Financial Group keeps asking me for more money without providing any clear explanation or progress on my case.
