Penning Plumbing Heating & Cooling is the real deal. They got the job done fast and didn't mess around. The stuff they used was top-notch and we didn't have to worry about anything breaking down. They were also really respectful of our space and didn't make a mess. We were able to go about our business without any problems. If you need plumbing or heating or cooling work done, these guys are the ones to call. They're the best in the biz.

brad and his apprentice did a great job replacin my on demand hot water heater. i do think that penning is a more expensive company to work with, but brad did find me the most cost effective solution that was available at the time. waitin for his estimate on some other repairs that we discussed.

brad b and ryan were cool dudes. they knew what they were doing when it came to my basement plumbing problems. they gave me some choices and explained them real good. it was easy to make a decision based on what they said. they were also careful with masks and staying away from me cuz of covid. i liked that.

Penning came over in March to clean my drain that was moving slow. The tech told me that what he did was just fixing a part of the problem and suggested cleaning the air vent too. Last week, I saw water in my basement storage room. Penning came back and found out that the pipe was split. The tech changed the pipe and cleaned the air vent. Penning waived the service charge for the second visit even though it had nothing to do with the first visit. They also cleaned the air vent for free. Their customer service is awesome.

Penning Plumbing ain't that great. They did a job to replace valves and water lines for our washer, but it failed after only 11 months and caused a ton of water damage. We asked them to pay for it, but they didn't want to cooperate. So, we had to file a claim with our own insurance and pay $500 for the deductible. Plus, we had to pay another $500 to get the job done right. We hope they'll do the right thing and fix this mess.

I called Penning Plumbing Heating & Cooling 'cause they had a sticker on the furnace from before we bought our house. Our furnace stopped working so they came out quick, looked at the furnace and was told that a blower was the problem and it would be $1100 to fix. Perfect- they fixed it that day and the furnace started working. For 24 hours. Then it stopped again. I called them and they sent a tech out that day who said it will be another $1000 to fix it. I called and asked why this wasn't fixed the first time they were out? The lady who answered the phone said she would call me back "when she could give more educated answers and so I sound like I know what I'm talking about" and did about an hour later. She basically said I was a liar, that I was told about this problem along with the one that was fixed and that I declined to fix it, and there was nothing else that they could do for me. Well, she was right about one thing which is there is nothing that they will be doing for me. I feel like I was taken advantage of and if I could give them less then one star I would.

They did the sewer line under our house 6 years ago. They had to jackhammer the basement floor and replace the old cast iron pipe with PVC. Recently, the line backed up through the floor drain. We had it cleared and viewed with a camera. It showed a sag in the new PVC line in the section they replaced. I asked how this could be. Shouldn't an underground PVC sewer line last for decades? They didn't respond to phone messages or e-mails. After I sent a long e-mail asking for answers, they replied with an attitude. They said they warranty their work for 1 year. Since it's been over a year, I have to pay them again to replace their replacement. They're expensive and have bad customer service. Go somewhere else.

Penning Plumbing Heating & Cooling is a big no-no! My mom, who's stuck at home because of the Corona Virus, called them on March 16, because of a leaky pipe in the basement. The technician did a good job, but it took him two hours and around $250 worth of materials to finish the job. Penning charged my mom $1,303 for the work! That's way too much for the time and materials they used. My mom agreed to pay it because she couldn't find another plumber who charged reasonable rates. I emailed Penning on March 18 to complain, but they haven't replied yet. It's like they're taking advantage of an old lady who's scared and alone during this tough time. We won't use Penning Plumbing again, and you shouldn't either until they stop ripping people off.

I hired Penning Plumbing to put in a water thingy and they said it would cost $4,671 and they would come on 4/12. When they got there, the guy said we should get rid of some old pipes and that would be $797 more. I said okay and they did the work. It looked good and I paid $5,468. Then I saw a little drip where the new pipe met the old one and I told them. They came back and put some stuff on it but it still leaked. They came back again and said they could fix it for $500 more. I don't think I should have to pay more for something that wasn't leaking before they did their thing.

Penning Pluming came to my house to fix my furnace on 10/1. They did the job right and we paid them $765.00 with a check. The worker said he would take the broken part, a voltage thingy, to the wholesaler and get a warranty claim. But when I called the furnace maker, ***, they said they don't do claims from customers. The wholesaler would do it. But that didn't happen. I called Penning five times and they said they made a mistake and would pay me back. They said they would send a preloaded credit card, but I haven't heard from them yet. So, I'm still waiting for my $696. Penning Plumbing needs to fix this.

Penning Plumbing Heating & Cooling charged me way too much for a furnace repair. They won't tell me how much they charged for the parts and labor, even though I've asked them many times. The repair only took about 30 minutes and they used some small parts that I think cost less than $200. I bought the furnace from Penning almost a decade ago and had them service it a couple years ago, so I trusted them and paid upfront without asking for a breakdown of the costs. But now I feel like they took advantage of me. The repairman suggested I sign up for their most expensive plan, which was over $400, but I couldn't afford it. I was shocked when he finished the repair so quickly. I even saw the parts he used and they didn't seem like they should cost that much. I emailed Penning that night asking for a detailed bill, but they called me instead of emailing back. I refused to talk to them until they gave me the information I asked for, but they still won't tell me how much they charged for the parts and labor. It's not fair and I'm really disappointed.

My mom needed a new faucet in her kitchen and she got it from a local store. She was gonna call *** Plumbing, but she got Penning Plumbing instead. The guy came on July 5, 2022 and he talked about their "levels of service" and my mom picked the "bronze" one. He put in the faucet in less than an hour and gave her a bill for $584.00. She paid it, but it seemed like a lot. She called the boss and he said he'd check it out and call her back, but he didn't. I came over on August 8, 2022 to help her move and I saw the bill and called the company. The boss talked about the levels of service again and I said she just needed a faucet put in. He asked if my mom was smart enough to make decisions and I said yes. He said to text him her address and he'd call me back, but he didn't. My brother called on August 10, 2022 and talked to the boss and got the same answer.

We called Penning Plumbing to fix a leak in our bathroom sink. The plumber said our bathroom was cracked and needed to be replaced. He came back on Monday and charged us $750 to replace the sink. But on Thursday, we noticed it was still leaking. We called Penning again and the plumber came back and said the connections weren't tightened enough. But it's still leaking! We spent $750 for nothing. We used to use Penning Plumbing all the time, but since John P passed away, the quality has gone down. We called them again on Saturday, but they didn't show up. We had to call another plumber who charged us $130 to tighten the connections. Penning Plumbing should have noticed this the second time they came out. We won't be using them again.
