Prescription filled and paid for by medical plan, but never received.
I placed an order for contact lenses in April/May 2023, I was given the first trial box which caused me some "allergy"/discomfort, itching in my eyes; I returned to the Wesley Chapel store, I notified the inconvenience and the young lady who attended me gave me another brand of lenses with some standards "approximate to my prescription" but it was not the...

I had an appointment 2 weeks ago for eye exam. I had an eye exam 2 years ago there, so decided to go back. I waited an hour for my appointment. The doc was late coming in. When I finally I got in there I sat down on the chair while she looked at my old prescription and preceded to tell me nothing changed. Hmm... I don't understand she did nothing. Wrote me...

I called for an eye exam. I went through the first recording. I was asked to leave a callback number. I left my phone number and I received a callback. No one answered but I was forced to listen for 7 minutes of adds about glasses that are too expensive for my budget. I then called the store that I've been using for years in Port Richey fl. I deal with Lisa there. A fellow answered. I told him I wanted an eye exam. He put me on hold for an additional 7 minutes. My name is Joseph Newman 3251lanark dr holiday fl.
My phone [protected]. Email [protected]@frontier.com I finally got to make an exam. You companies are all alike, giving employees triple duties. And always raising prices. You should have a person just to answer eye exam calls. After this exam and purchasing new glasses I may look elsewhere.

Our insurance pays $300 toward glasses.
Optical Outlets advertise two pairs for $79.
However if you go in there with insurance they go back to FULL RETAIL. Supposed the glasses I got retail for $604. Give me a break, no one is gonna pay that much for these glasses.
They took the $300 off the cost of transition lenses which they charged at full retail of $299. Our insurance said we pay $30 copay for transitions.
So how this come about, basically we paid $329 for transition lenses that retail $299.
Desired outcome: Nothing, they won't do a thing.
Lady being rude/racist
I been a customer in this location for many years. I never had any problem before employees always treated me nice but since this lady (African American girl) or some similar race started to work there things changed. The first encounter was around a year ago she talked to me with an attitude and indifference and I remember she didnt even wanted to do my prescription. I left. The next day I came back and other employee took my prescription. Since then always other employees helped me. But today May 24 2023 I came with a new prescription at 5:40pm they close at 6:00pm. The same lady asked me what do I need and I told her and she was like "we close at 6 you dont even have time to do the order is 10 min away from 6 very rude. Then she just ignored me and asked the other person what they need and she did helped the other women. I left obviosly mad because she could of say something nicer like we almost close and im still doing something can you come by tomorrow but not. Im pretty sure she remembers me and thats why she has that attitude to me. This is at optical outlets in golden gate in Naples fl. Im definetely Not coming back to this location. It seems that she just talk like that to hispanic people but not to white people.
I would like to go back and get a different set of frames and a different lens. Not happy at all with these glasses
First off Dr. Bailey is awesome. The staff is not so great. They are not helpful at all. They sit and point at the walls and say look for a pair.. the glasses are not organized by any size, manufacturer color style, no organization whatsoever. Don't ask their opinion of a pair of glasses, they don't have one. After picking up my glasses I had them for one...

I'm writing this complaint because I want to warn customers! It's a new year and most people get eye exams because insurance has started over! Well what ever you do don't make an appointment to optical outlet or you'll be disappointed! I myself wasn't pleased at all, from the customer service to the glasses, I went in for an eye exam and to purchase new glasses, well I get my glasses and they're not working right, I kept calling and trying to talk with the store manager and even went in, she was either out or on lunch break, so when I finally talked with the manager she was RUDE and my only option was to pick out a new frame, I said can't we use these just fix the prescription, I was told no I had to purchase new ones, mind you I've already paid nearly $200 now to get another pair will cost, well I get my new set and guess what they don't work either, again I call and get the run around! I asked for a refund because after buying two pair I've spent over $400 for glasses I can't wear! No refund, PLEASE DONT USE this place! I finally found a place and yes they got it right the first time. Optical Outlets service is terrible🥺 especially when they don't care about the customer they only want money, but won't refund if THEY make the mistake!
Desired outcome: Had to find a new optometrist
Store 017 is unprofessional.
To Whom This May Concern, In Hopes To Get In Touch With Robert.
My name is Abigail McNulty. I started working at Optical Outlets located at 6244 Commercial Way Weeki Wachee, FL 34614 On Oct. 31st of 2022. I was hired by Mr. Muhammad. My application states Receptionist.
The manager Angela has not taught me, trained me, guided me, nor even instructed me from the moment I have walked into the store. I have been trained by Aaliyah who is a receptionist.
Store 17 is currently fully staffed. There are two receptionists at one desk sharing one computer. I was hired as a third receptionist to share one desk, one computer, with two other girls.
On Friday, December 2nd of 2022 I expressed my concerns and feelings to Mr. Muhhammad and Angela. I stated to Mr. Muhammed that Angela has not trained, guided, nor instructed me for a month working there. I explained to him that THERE IS NO CLEANING IN BETWEEN PATIENTS. I expressed deeply how concerning it is that if a patient were to walk in with Covid, or MRSA, and rub their hands on the chair/ equipment it would spread and be contagious to our next patients.
I think at that point I really had Mr. Muhammed's attention. I continued stating that there should be standards, expectations, and guidelines, especially while managing a business.
Mr. Muhammad asked me who was training me and I told him that Aaliyah and Amanda are training me. I was doing pick-ups, adjustments, making trays for glasses, and doing the metro. I expressed that I am one person doing 4 tasks and being asked to be 2 places at once. I expressed to Mr. Muhamamd and Angela that I am not happy at their location. I requested a transfer to any other location and Mr. Muhhamed declined my request to transfer. Mr. Muhammed stated that If things do not change then I can call Jackie and speak with Jackie. I expressed to Mr. Muhhamed he hired me as a receptionist and they are already fully staffed.
After my discussion with Mr. Muhhammed and Angela Mr. Muhhamed was on the phone with IT resetting the wifi boxes, and cursing "[censored]" a few times. While I was in the backroom putting away the metro, I was watching Mr. Muhhammed stressed on the phone trying to configure the wifi and routing boxes.
I didn't know how to place orders, do sales, I didn't know where to put patients' broken frames they wanted fixed. I did not know that we were not allowed to dispense glasses to patients younger than 18. I was never properly trained on how to 'adjust' glasses.
On Monday, December 5th I was supposed to work 9-6. I did not show up. My mother had a neck procedure. My mother's ride did not show up. Therefore, I did not go to work. I took my mother to her procedure. Angle texted me that morning asking why I did not show up to work and I told her why. I DO REALIZE THAT IS MY FAULT. That would have been my first write up if they would have chosen to write me up.
On Tuesday, December 6th I was scheduled to work 9:30-6. I came in this morning and no one was at the front desk. I clocked in at the front desk, and walked to the back to put my stuff away. Angela and Aaliyah were outside in the back of the store. I handed Angela my doctor's note. Angela stated that I was supposed to be scheduled and I told her I do apologize, that I am sorry, and I will not do it again.
I asked Angela if it was okay that I take my lunch at 1:00 o'clock for a scheduled interview on the phone. Angela stated "so you are looking for new employment?" I said "Yes". Angela stated to me in front of Aaliyah "If you are not happy here, that is something for you to consider about, we do not need you, and you can leave now if you wish." I said to Angela "I do not want to quit without having another job". I went back inside in hopes of diffusing the situation. I walked back to the front of the building. I sat at the receptionist desk. A customer, an old man, walked in, he wanted his glasses fixed. I told the sir to please sign in and someone would help him. No one was interested in taking the man and helping him with his broken glasses. So, I took his glasses to the back and as I walked into the back of the office, Angela walked inside from out back.
Angela said to me "I just got off the phone with Mr. Muhhammed, you can grab your things and go, we do not need you."
I said nothing. I grabbed my things, and I left. I was not at work for more than 15 minutes.
However, I already expressed that I was not happy there. I requested a transfer and was denied. It is fully staffed there. So yes, I started looking for new employment.
I would like to notify you Robert of all the corrupt shenanigans I know about within your business. Angela smokes weed on the clock, with her THC vape pen. Everyday. The girls brag about drinking alcohol in their carry cups on meeting days. I have been asked 3 times by DR. STAMP OF WHO IS IN CHARGE? The girls Sherri, and Kelly, and Alliyah have notified me that money goes missing and that Kelly gets blamed for it.
I have pictures of trash, dirty napkins, and tissues left on the floor at night, because there is no routine cleaning
I would like to know the reason why I was fired. I would like a copy of it sent to me, please and thank you.
Thank you for your time. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to email me back or call me.
In regards,
- Abigail McNulty

Bad prescription after eye examination
After ordering new glasses, including new frames, it was discovered that the prescription I received from Optical Outlets Oviedo Mall location was wrong! I returned to Optical Outlets Oviedo Mall location for a re-exam, it was discovered that indeed they did get the prescription wrong. They at first insisted that the prescription was not wrong. I demanded a new exam and they reluctantly agreed. After the exam the new prescription was the same as my existing prescription. Because of their mistake, I have spent over $400 for new glasses I did not need. By the way, they never apologized for their mistake and the time and money I had spent relying on a faulty exam.
Bad product/ service
I took my daughter on August 30, 2022 to get her annual eye exam. We look around and the quality of the frames wasn’t the greatest neither the cutest so she decided to keep the frame she had and order the lenses for them. With insurance we had to pay 70 $ extra because she didn’t got a new frame and that is part of the policy. My daughter had a very strong prescription so the first thing I asked was for the thinnest lenses because of how thick they come if we don’t. We place the order payed around 260 dollars out of pocket to cover the extras. We were told that the wait time was 2 weeks.we check the webpage to track the order and figure that they were ready and went to the office to pick them up. When we got there the lenses weren’t right my daughter was seeing everything double and blurry ,they checked them and apparently the reason was because they polycarbonate. I told that I specifically asked for the thinnest lenses but apparently the employee didn’t add that and that I had to pay 80$ extra to get that and so I did. Two weeks after I went to pick them up the second time and my daughter kept seeing everything double and blurry. They check the glasses again and now the curved of the glasses isn’t correct and they have to send them to the lab again for the second time. I was so upset and asked if they could do something to the expedite the process and they told that they were going to contact the district manager to ask and that they will let me know. They never call back and I personally email the district manager and haven’t had a response yet. It’s been my worst service ever.Technically we’ve been waiting around 34 days to get the glasses done correctly. By the way my son had his eye exam the same day but I took the prescription to Walmart Vision Center and they were done in 3 days.
I wouldn’t never refer anyone to go to your offices and never coming back.
Desired outcome: Glasses to be done correctly and don’t have to wait 2 more weeks if not get my money back.
Overcharging
On June 20, 2022, I went in for my annual eye exam. I have united healthcare insurance. If a person walks in the door, they get 2 pairs of glasses for $69.00. My insurance has $400 optical insurance. I really don't care about that, but I wanted a pair made into sunglasses, which cost $20.00 extra, my total bill was only $349.00, and they still made me pay the extra $20.00 if I wanted sunglasses. This is totally unfair. They also made me pick out the cheapest, ugliest frames that were on the wall. The ones I picked out were only $14.00 more each, which easily would be covered under the $400 limit.
I noticed that you have reconciled 0 complaints. Am I just wasting my time here?
I have the receipt if you need to see it. The address of the outlet is Melbourne 38. 6300 W, Wickham Rd. 32940
Desired outcome: I really would like to get my $20.00 back. I am 70 years old, am on Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps, support myself with no other income in the house. I only receive $783 monthly to live on.
Contact Lenses
Since my first visit with the location on Tamiami, I have been waiting for a total of three months to get my glasses. Between waiting on contacts to begin trial and lies about the status on when they would receive them. Then have to wait again because I could not see well through that first pair. The lady in charge of ordering them, ordered me a second trial. Called her the week prior to our altercation, to ask if the set has come in. She stated that they should be in by tomorrow. I then waited 4 days to call, because I knew she was lying again. She gave me attitude, not a bit concerned about me and what she has done in the past few months. Started talking over me when I questioned her about her lies, to then call me aggressive, and that she was going to call the police on me. This process has taken over three months. And this woman has made this process for me so difficult, when honesty and a bit more empathy would have sufficed. And forgot to mention how they overcharged me for my eye exam. My insurance paying $150, and my out-of-pocket cost $80 for the exam and trial lenses.
Desired outcome: My money back as she stated on the last phone conversation.
Product/People who make their Glasses
I was in Optical Outlets on College Road on October 21, 2021 and paid $268.93 for a pair of Progressive Eye Glasses. Well I called them Back a week or so later and explained my issue with the Glasses, so they had me come back in and they reexamed my eyes and they said it came out the same prescription.
So I suggested that I get two pair of glasses a close up pair and a distance pair so they did and there happened to be a 10.00 difference in which they were gonna charge me for but in the end they decided to write off, so more of the story is this I have two pair of glasses I can't use cause they also I Can't see out of across the room. Cant afford to go someplace else cause my money is tied up in glasses I cant use because I am using my old glasses again, So I will Never go there again.
thanks

My husband called to get an appointment because he injured his eye. He called his eye doctor who was on vacation. The on call doctor said to go where you get your glasses and have them look at the eye. He called the office in Weeki Wachee. Girl that answered the phone took insurance information and said would call him. She called him and told him she needed for him to come in with his card. He got there and she said oh we can't see you. You used all your visits for the year. Meanwhile he has not used all his visits. She turned away and ignored him. The rudeness in that office is unreal. Even if he used all his visits which he didn't did not ever hear of self pay. I am an office manager in a doctor's office. I was floored when he told me how he was treated. This person should not be working with patient's she has no compassion. We will not be returning there again. I will tell everyone about my husbands experience and share it on social media.
Desired outcome: Want a call from the manager to acknowledge what has happened.
Service at 4th st N
The place was awful, staff was less than friendly, completely unhelpful! Lets put it this way, Walmart has better service and more friendly! That should speak volumes of the staff at this location. Literally gave away my appointment. I tried calling them on my way because it was pouring out, extreme weather and no one answers on the phone when I was trying to contact them and responded to my appointment confirmation via email that didn't work and i tired to explain this to the manager and she could care less about me or having me seen or taking my money for a couple pairs of glasses. Service like this, makes me never want to use your company!
This is so true about this location on 4th the obese manager in her 30s that sits to the left if your facing the main desk with the big glasses was so friendly when she sold me the glasses but thee rude nastiness was uncalled for afterward on my needs as an elderly women, I need help then the other lady dresses in a rag on her head straight out of the shower shower cap and rude as well.
