June's Journey Accusations of cheating

We had a player join our team, so excited to be playing with us. She lost her chair, was accused of cheating. Despite messaging to say she hadn't, they gave her an ultimatum to start over rather than reinstate her account. Reluctantly she did as she was keen to get back to playing with a team. She joined us today with her new account and they've taken her chair again. She has Non Hodgkin's Lymphona, she uses June's Journey to help her get through her treatment, it is the bright light in her day. She has spent real money to progress in the game so has lost all that too. Will somebody please see reason and give this poor woman back her chair!

Recommendation: Play at your own risk

June's Journey Initial contact

This is not a complaint, but is a request. Since we have limited space for decorations on each island perhaps you could change annual themes so we have a diversity of cultures and different decorations. For example, why is every June a wedding? Schools are ending for Summer break in June. The theme could be graduations, school sports or classrooms. Every Christmas we get frozen trees, Christmas presents, and kids playing in snow. Why not celebrate Kwanzaa, Jewish holidays, or other celebrations from around the world. A little of each all together. Or the Winter Olympics competitions. Thank you if you consider any or all of these suggestions.

June's Journey Losing interest fast

I am going to leave a review even though I have been looking through the reviews and I’m noticing that everyone is being given a generic answer to almost every 1-3 star complaint review. Most of the responses are identical. That is the same problem that you have when you’re playing this game. If there is a glitch of some sort and you report it to them they let you know that you are incorrect and that they are correct. Even if you have researched it and when you’re the one who is playing their game with your time, your money and your knowledge. You would think that they would understand that you know how to play the game and that you know When there is a problem that needs to be fixed. I have notified them a couple of times that I did not get the proper reward for the task at hand only to be told that I was incorrect and that they areSo sorry that I feel like I have not received the proper amount of credit. You can take that and a dollar and buy yourself a coffee. They do not care anything about their players. I am not the only person on my team as well as others that I spoke with who had this problem with them more than once. You can start playing this game but I promise you it’s going to start costing you more and more cash as you progress. I started out spending not having to spend a lot of cash out-of-pocket then quickly realized after after a couple of months that it was costing me more and more cash to the tune of a hundred dollars or more. That was entirely too much money to be getting nowhere fast. The more money I spent the more I needed to spend because it began charging me more energy to get through a chapter with less rewards for achieving that goal. This game has changed hands and the new owners are very stingy. Everything has gone up within the last two months to the point where it’s too expensive for my team to keep continue to play in all of the competitions. It’s like they know people are stuck at home due to Covid and they’re taking advantage of the situation which is uncool. Now I play only for my team during the competition that we enter and just gave up on building my islands because it’s too frustrating and it cost too much out-of-pocket cash to do so. If you don’t have a ton of cash to pour into this game don’t even get started... it would behoove you to find another game because you will be very unhappy once you get started and realize that you are quickly going to have to start spending a lot of cash to succeed building your islands. I have a wonderful team that I do competitions with so I collect my energy bars throughout the time I have before the competition and then I play the competitions to help my team. Other than that I won’t play this game anymore unless something changes. I’m sure that doesn’t matter to Woga because a lot of people have complained and as I said they all have gotten the same cookie cutter response.. Wooga is correct and we, the players are incorrect.. Read a few of these reviews before you start playing this game. It will save you a lot of money and a lot of frustration.

Sincerely,

Debra

June's Journey Disappointed

I sincerely LOVE this game and play it every day, several times a day. But, I’m extremely disappointed that you have not added another island. Surely I’m not the only player to have reached this level (645), although your leaderboard only reflects two players. Myself and the fictitious Jack Hayes (which is kinda lame, but not a crucial thing). I have rearranged both islands completely at least 5-6 times trying my best to utilize the available space. I’ve even sold off/stored 98% of the items worth 5 points or less to replace them with items worth more in order to continue to advance. Not being able to expand has severely crippled my ability to complete the Help Wanted Challenges or the timed challenges for special awards. I know you told me that my compasses are being stored, but I have no way of knowing how many I currently have, nor did you commit to providing a timeline when another island would be added. And although on occasion we are rewarded with building parts, no new buildings, that yield coins, have been added in forever. And, why are we not able to get more than ONE of those available? After all, towns do have more than one school, movie house, etc. It would also be nice if those could be moved to another island if we wanted to. Granted, I’ve been playing awhile, but at the rate of only one renovation a day and twelve days to advance a level, I am only half way through with the Mountain Chateau. Seems to me that your developers aren’t quite in sync with keeping up with a players progress for expansion and that of renovation or new buildings. PLEASE add another island ASAP! ☹️

I’m begging you! Please add another island!

Update:

Thanks for your email response and acknowledging that it’s annoying, because I agree. You said you needed more details, but didn’t elaborate what that might be despite the previous lengthy, and what I feel is a detailed review. You recommended I get in touch via the support contact form. I had also already done that. You said you could resolve my issues nice and quick. As far as I’m concerned, adding another island would do that. And after going to your FB page, I see that I’m not the only player harping about that. You’re about to release your Valentine Seasonal Set. Since I’ve been playing for over a year, I already have two lots filled with Valentine stuff, and clearly no room to add more, let alone continue to purchase the current seasonal set pieces you so vigorously push on us as it winds down through the Help Wanted Challenges unless I sell off or store items. And doing either certainly doesn’t result in any benefit to the player as you lose points or sell off your items at a loss. That doesn’t result in much headway for progressing either. I may accrue the space and a few more coins, but I’ve not gained much adding the new item if I’ve lost just as many or more points than it took to get the new piece. I’ve manipulated everything on both islands, until I’m exhausted. I’ve sold things or stored things and struggled to regain the points again. I’ve got so many of the current Seasonal items, I’m sick of them and when I’m rewarded with a free one, I have nowhere to put it! Please just add another island. I think you’d make a lot of your loyal players happy by doing so. Thanks.

June's Journey Wooga Plays Bait and Switch

I tried Wooga’s Pearl’s Peril but became bored with it after a while. I found June’s Journey and was enjoying the storyline, which, although full of plot holes, is reasonably entertaining. I was even all right with watching the ads since I was only using game money. I assumed that if I opted to watch the overly frequent ads, this would compensate for not paying actual money to play. Not so.

Now that I have completed opening the first section of land on the island, it has become impossible to move forward. Which means it has become impossible to continue playing. In order to progress, you have to buy objects with game money that give “points” in the form of ‘flowers.” A new scene or chapter needs x-number of flowers to open it—which would be fine, even though the number of points required has increased exponentially—except that the purchased objects have to be on land for the flowers to be available. And, here’s where it fails. Without the ability to expand, by winning compasses to open new plots of land, it becomes impossible to place enough objects on the land available, to play new scenes. So, then, you’re stuck. Either you have to replay old scenes, or you give up. Even if you pay real money. Read reviews of people who have. They’re in the same stalemate situation as me, *andthey’ve also forked out a considerable amount of real money.

The developers have made it harder, to the point of impossible, to expand, by increasing the number of “compasses” you have to earn before new land opens up; while significantly decreasing the number of compasses you *canactually earm. I spent the last week playing more than I usually would, to earn enough compasses, so that I could open more land. After one week, I only earned one compass. I need 33. At this rate it will take nearly nine months to get more land, and, in the meantime, I won’t be able to move forward with the story because I already don’t have enough land to place the number of objects for number of requires flowers to open the next scene. At first, I thought it was just me. But when I went searching for an answer, I came across all the negative reviews that say pretty much what I’ve said, here. Every single one described my exact experience.

It’s a nasty bait and switch game the developers are now playing, to force users to spend real money, PLUS watch ads every 30 minutes. Plus, something worse. Even when people do spend real money, they find themselves in exactly the same position as before: not enough land to place objects so that they also can’t move forward.

The other really, poorly thought through concept is setting it on an island. Which could have been brilliant if the developers actually allowed their players to “create” a realistically inhabited community with the items available. But they don’t. Leaving aside the issue of not enough land to put the buildings, trees, etc., you have to buy, in order to progress, it becomes impossible to create any kind of landscaped community, when objects that are not part of your vision also have to be on the land, in order to generate the “flowers” that allow progress to the next scene or chapter. Yes, you can store them, but then you lose the flowers needed to move forward; unless you put them back onto the land. As I said, bait and switch. Nasty.

June's Journey Team Coffee Exchange Ruined: Bad Morale & Poor Branding

This game is extraordinary because it allows one to “time travel” to the Roaring Twenties vicariously. It’s been exhilarating & fun, a “great escape” from the pressures & stresses of everyday life—until early June .

Without any warning, the game creator decided to completely ruin one of the major features of the game which team players greatly anticipated daily: The coffee exchange in the lounge. At a specified time every day, a team of players meets in their lounge to give each other coffees to drink which provide Energy. Energy is how one plays the game, & 10 bolts of Energy allow a player to play one round (to simplify it).

As a player exchanges coffees, not only do they gain Energy to play from every cup drank, but also, the tips gained from other team mates drinking the coffee served results in their Energy bolts moving from 10 each up to a maximum of 15 each: This is very significant because before the unannounced drastic change, each team member had the ability to offer up to 5 coffees per 24 hours in the lounge to their team mates: Now we can only exchange one cup of coffee—so the Energy available, especially for newer players, is drastically reduced. This affects every aspect of playing individually as well as in team competitions.

Wooga has received thousands of complaints about this change, & evidently, all of them have fallen on deaf ears…Never have I heard of a gaming company do so much to destroy loyalty & trust with its public. Changing how much coffee players can offer team mates has greatly reduced the “fun factor” because coffee does cost us diamonds to serve, & having the individual independence to choose how much coffee we want to serve is integral to the enjoyment of the game separately from the storyline, etc.

It has changed how I & thousands of others play the game, but more importantly, it has changed how we feel about the game. Regardless of profits, this change has resulted in many players pledging to play only as they can—that they will not spend any real dollars in the game to buy diamonds, etc.

It’s very sad that of all the feedback players provide through surveys, this change to coffee exchanges never came up: We all felt blind-sided when this happened. We have been encouraged to suggest improvements to aspects of the game, but none of them have happened.

I have written Wooga inside the game itself, through “Contact Us”, & I’ve emailed, & posted on their official FB page, as have many others. What is truly disheartening is that they aren’t budging on revising coffee for teams. It apparently is remaining a permanent change, no matter how well any of us attempt arguing against it on merit.
This move is bad for morale because this game is a fun place to be away from the pressures of “real life”. Doing anything which makes it stressful is a very poor branding & marketing move, however “profitable” it may seem to the game creator. The worst was when an employee of the company posted on FB that essentially, we players should all just stop complaining: That’s when I knew the company cares nothing for us except for how much our dollars accumulate in their coffers. Ironically, they have destroyed our incentive to want to pay any real money! It’s one of the biggest marketing blunders I’ve ever witnessed in my lifetime, & yet Wooga won’t budge…

June's Journey impossible to move forward

4th update: As wonderful as this game is I’ve come to the conclusion that a lot of my frustration is that Wooga provides little education in how to play the game. The best thing new players can do is join the June’s Journey Fan Club. The experienced players will offer guidance and help educate the newer players. Wooga is so focused on the bottom line profits that they forget the best way to increase profits is to build from the bottom up. Help the new players grow by showing them how to play and win in all aspects of the game and these players will play a long time which will improve Wooga’s bottom line. They same can be said for the long time player. Wooga needs to listen to their comments and satisfy them where they can. Wooga needs to think about the next ten years and not the next quarter. They will be much further ahead.

3rd update: still the same 1-star review. Was hoping to be able to increase. They offer detective challenges. The only problem is that some of them are impossible to win. I don’t mind losing when it’s on me but when I am not given a chance, it’s frustrating. For as wonderful a game as Wooga has designed, they are taking a short sighted view. I have maxed out in every facet of the game. I can move forward only a little bit at a time. Most people will be able to play for a very long time and will enjoy the game. My mistake was trying to become the best player.

2nd update: If you have any delusions of playing this game for any length of time, forget any notions you might have about decorating your area to be aesthetically pleasing. Just jam everything in as tightly packed as possible. I didn’t understand it when I saw other players doing it. Now I do. The game developers should either make it so the game can be played as designed or allow you to purchase the parts you need. This fighting tooth and nail for every square inch is just ridiculous. It reminds me of two(2) upper level chess players fighting to gain the advantage of a pawn. Wooga’s sister game, PEARL’S PERIL, is much better thought out.

I use this app to try and help my memory which is affected by the meds I have to take. Would like to be able to redo those moves without changing my score. When you are building your estate, it would be nice to go back and add some more of a particular item. As it is now, once you are done, you are done. Sometimes you can make a mistake with the cursor and that’s it, you’re finished. Some of the descriptions of items you are looking for in a scene are quite a stretch but still an enjoyable game to play.

Update: I am now at level 65 and stuck. I can go no farther. I have no space to add buildings. I have purchased everything I can purchase in the game. I have no buildings I can add, only fences, grass, small bushes or rock paths which all have very little value of 1 pink flowers and I still need 247 pink flowers in order to play the next level. I better understand why other players just jammed everything right next to each other with no regard for anything aesthetically pleasing while decorating your area. I did that once to play level 64. I cannot play the game which I use to try to improve my memory due to the meds I have to take. I enjoy playing this game but it is very frustrating not being able to play. I literally cannot play this game any more. If I could purchase any more of those darn pink flowers, I would.

June's Journey Love this game BUT. PLEASE listen to the reviews!

I absolutely LOVE this game! It keeps me coming back as often as I can. After playing it for awhile now, I do have a few suggestions. The first thing is that when you finally earn a box to open, the rewards should be special things like energy, diamonds, & compasses etc not common materials or a stingy amount of coins. It’s such a let down when you get these things.

***The second thing is having to wait SOOOO LONG for the construction of things to be completed in order to move up to a new level. It’s frustrating that you either have to wait or use your precious diamonds to finish it faster. Not getting enough compasses is another thing. You run out of building space & you can’t store items without getting penalized & getting flowers taken away. Once you build something, it should be yours to use or store as you want.

June's Journey Some Issues

Updated review: I still like the game, but it is losing some of its appeal. 1: The monthly collections of decorations are always just more of the same items that have been offered in the past over and over again. There is rarely anything new. So if I don’t want to just fill up the islands with a clutter of sameness, I can’t really move the story forward. I know it’s a lot of work in development, but I think you are forgetting the importance many players place on beautifying the islands. It’s not just about the bombardment of competitions that have taken over the game now. 2: While I don’t mind the ads that are necessary, the ROYAL MATCH ADS ARE A NIGHTMARE! They are extremely long, they don’t shut down correctly so they take up valuable play time, and they hi-Jack your device causing it to lock up. PLEASE GET RID OF THE ROYAL MATCH ADS.
3: The “Vault” is a joke. You EARN items through game play, but then you have to pay for them. :-(
I know many other players have these same complaints and I hope you realize that the game is not necessarily getting better. Thank you and have a nice day.

Old review: First of all, this is by far my favorite game. The graphics are beautiful, the story lines are fun, and the hidden object aspect is challenging, but not overly difficult. As other reviewers have mentioned, though, it takes too long to amass flowers and compasses once you get further into the game. It tells you to visit storage and redecorate, but usually there is no room to place the items because, as has been mentioned in many reviews, it takes too long to expand. The renovations also take too long and you become stuck, sometime for days, because you can’t expand the land quick enough to add items and collect more flowers. Also, I wish you could save your energy if you don’t need it all to finish a case. But it resets so it’s ‘use it now or lose it’. I don’t mind watching ads to keep the game mostly free, but sometimes they take forever to load before the ad will even play. Not a dealbreaker, but frustrating. One last thing, if possible, it would be great if we could turn the objects before placing them. It would make decorating the island more fun. I play another game where the items can be rotated and it makes the layouts more versatile. All thing considered, this is a very enjoyable game to play. A few tweaks would make it outstanding. Update: Still my favorite game, but still so frustrating that IT TAKES FOREVER TO EARN ENOUGH COMPASSES TO EXPAND! Recently played 2 chapters, opened star boxes, etc. and not one compass was available! and...It really does take TOO MUCH TIME FOR RENOVATIONS OF MAIN BUILDINGS. I’ve redecorated to add more high flower items, but the beauty of the island becomes diminished when you have to clutter it with unwanted items just to move forward. The hidden object part of the game is fun and challenging, but the best and most relaxing part of the game is decorating the island. This game has such beautiful graphics that make you want to assemble them in a pleasing way. Please don’t make us clutter it up, taking away from that beauty, just to move forward. And please, for goodness sake, let us rotate items so that we can arrange them in a more natural way. You have an outstanding and amazingly beautiful game. So many have written reviews with similar frustrations listed here and on YouTube. I hope you hear us. Update: Why does it take so long for the ads to load? They are also the longest ads of any game I’ve ever played. You have to watch them often when earning in the detective league, which is fine…but why so long?

June's Journey Fun game being destroyed by new owners

June’s journey for me was a very fun game! I loved it! Played several times a day every day! Then they added the lounge! Loved that! I started my own team! I’m the president. I had a WONDERFUL group of ladies who came to coffee and we were winning all our comps.

Then things started to change, but not for the better. They have two ways you can move forward in the game besides building the buildings and improving the landmarks. You can gain prizes through completing the Detectives Needed (usually lasting from about 1 to 3 days) and you also have the opportunity to participate in competitions.

The DETECTIVES NEEDED were randomly difficult. You had to save lots of things to be able to complete them.. I would save 15 to 25?0pink and blue boxes, or you couldn’t meet the deadlines. I would not collect on the mansion, often losing coins I earned in order to be able to complete the “collect coins from mansion” case. I would have to open up many scenes .. but not play them in order to complete the other “cases” such as find 2 (or four) clues. I’d have to withhold giving bushes to friends, so I could collect on that.

But now that’s all changed. Now they’ve added IMPOSSIBLE TASKS (cases) to complete within the allotted time, and there is NO WAY to finish!

They’ve added the coffee lounge (which we attend once daily at an allocated time) and once coffee time is over, we do not return to the lounge until the next day!

Well now all through the day you will have something you must do in the lounge, and once you’ve had your meeting, and complete that task, it will come up again.. repeatedly. And if you use your ONE opportunity to cross out only ONE case that’s impossible to meet, after you complete the next case, the VERY ONE YOU CROSSED OUT,,.. pops right back up again! There’s no point in crossing out an impossible task if it’s going to come up again right after you crossed it out!

And you only get ONE cross out in 24 hours and you may have dozens of various tasks and half of them may be impossible (or close to it) to complete!

Jacks hanger is the same. You may send jack out on a 72 hour trip, only to get the very same case again the next day!

Wooga, or whoever holds this game has DESTROYED the fun of the game by making it IMPOSSIBLE for you to reach your goals! Even if you play night and day for three whole days! What fun is there in that?

I’m losing people in my group now who’s interest is lagging because of this and also because of what they did to us in the competitions.

In the competitions they took us (a number one winning team) and instead of placing us with “like” competitors... put us in with teams that are far superior to ours! We are now coming in 10th place. We don’t mind a little competition, but to completely destroy a winning team over night by grouping them with teams that score much higher also kicks the wind out of your sails and you start to get the “meh” (who cares) attitude.
Some ladies are (shall we say more “mature”) and their hand eye coordination isn’t what it used to be. We don’t need to be competing with 20 year olds. And one team, without a doubt has been using some sort of “cheat” since they had a “player” who was a beginner, just barely started.. island in the 40s (mine is over600) who was outscoring nine other players all put together (in their own team)!

I’m sorry but this game, that was so much fun in the beginning.. a labor of love... has become a demanding cruel taskmaster. Unless something changes.. my ladies and I will go back to just decorating our islands and /or leaving the game altogether. The fun is gone!

June's Journey Super Game.but, frustrating

1/29: I'm completely fed up! As I've previously stated, the biggest flaw in this game is slow progression, being stuck in island limbo. It took me 4-5 days to finally eke out the necessary flowers to unlock a new scene. I finally managed to get a few game sessions in before being once again locked out because I lack the 371 flowers to open the next scene. I can't progress in the investigation, have no room for building, and no compasses for expansion. I'm, once again, left to replay already mastered scenes which don't reward compasses as freq. as 'fresh' scenes. Argh!
Additionally, not only is my game on hold but the next expansion has increased from 24 to 34 compasses needed. And, imagine my joy when my amphitheater began its newest upgrade which has increased from FOUR DAYS to FIVE DAYS to complete. I've contacted WOOGA Support many times and have received timely, friendly assurances that "the team considers all players' requests," etc. etc.
This morning, I once again contacted WOOGA to express my disappointment and their reply wasn't so friendly this time. They let me know that this conversation has been discussed and analyzed among their team and, therefore, it's a closed issue..any further contact regarding this topic will no longer be addressed. So, obviously after considering the many negative reviews about this particular game flaw, they've decided to make it MORE difficult to advance in the game by INCREASING construction times and upping the compass count for further expansion...of course, the other alternative is for me to cough up the $$$ needed to keep myself going. I don't mind spending a buck here and there but it's too pricey for MY pocketbook. I feel duped, naive, and now arrogantly dismissed after WOOGA lured me in with a beautiful 5star game that has become too expensive for me to keep up. I'm compelled to delete JJ and my other WOOGA games (Pearl's Peril, Tropicats).

1/19: still feeling frustrated by the same issues stated in my earlier review below. But, I'm still completely addicted to JJ for all the same reasons other reviewers have shared: Beautiful graphics/island decos, intriguing characters & storyline, etc...So, Listen up, TEAM WOOGA! Here's ONE thing: We're all asking for STORAGE (or a simple way) to help players move structures around. And, if by chance you do..could you NOT make us buy gems for it? I don't mind spending a couple of bucks now and then, but gem prices and gift boxes are way overpriced (I'm NOT going to spend $99 on a game..that's HALF of my weekly grocery expenses.) Maybe "storage" could be earned as a reward for achieving certain challenges or levels within the game (?)

(Earlier review):
I love this game for all the reasons listed by other players. But, I too, am frustrated for all the reasons listed by other players. I can particularly relate to one reviewer who is disabled and on a fixed income. I have contacted Wooga repeatedly to consider updates that would:
1) decrease construction times (4 1/2 days to upgrade my bathhouse?! Really?)
2) lower costs for gems, etc. or provide more ways to earn them for free. (Loyal players deserve some perks)
3) provide storage for decos to assist when relocating buildings, etc.
4) frequently include additional enhancements (not just the themed motifs). Suggestions: birdbaths, a variety of fencing, mailboxes, & more.
5) enable decos to be oriented in different directions instead of facing only one way.

I do commend the Wooga team for their timely responses and courteous replies. However, there haven't been any updates that address the above (well, we did get a couple of new additions like a little fence and a horse priced @ 175 gems) Come on, Wooga! You can do this!

June's Journey No longer the great game it used to be

Regrettably playing this game is becoming increasingly expensive as some of its key features are being monetized.

I need to add a bit of news: the great and talented artists at Wooga have added a number of great items to enhance the island decorating experience! I came across those just yesterday evening. These include train cars, a cute locomotive, a trellis pathway, and several plant elements. Now I can truly make use of the cargo ship to clear up existing real estate and re-arrange placements as I introduce new items into the landscape. This is truly enjoyable. I do note that some of the items are a bit pricey and I resolve to go multiple rounds through each scene to attempt to accumulate coins overtime. The process may be repetitive, in as much that I have gotten as far in the plot as I can, pending the availability of the next scene in about four days, but, with a clear goal in mind, the task is a bit more palatable. My thanks to the great Wooga Team and also to all the players out there who, by providing constructive inputs, are taking the time to help the game grow into an increasingly engaging set up. Have fun tapping away to help June solve the mysteries!

I have enjoyed following June and her adventures for a few months now. I am fascinated by and appreciative of the level of care the great people at Wooga are devoting to developing the game. Because of their dedication, the game plays out on different levels: there is the uncovering the mystery aspect, the progression through the scenes, and, perhaps more important to me, the arrangement of items on the island. This last one is truly entertaining because of the quality of the graphics of each single item available for placement. I applaude the Wooga Team for listening to the various recommendations shared in the many reviews. I presume the desire for a storage feature is what has prompted the introduction of the cargo ship. Very smart and elegant solution. At this time I see a few tweaks that could make the game even more engaging: 1. increase the number of options available for decorating - as someone has mentioned, it takes away from the fun of decorating if the choice is so limited: too few items provide a reasonable number of orchids (only the station platform before the introduction of the tranquil tree); 2. Set up the cargo ship so that players can save items from the various promotions for future use. That would entail being able to place the item on the ship to then be able to purchase it in unlimited quantities when so desired. That would have been a great option for the snowy pine. Given the challenges in earning orchids, it does not seem feasible to expect players to place items in storage when that entails losing orchids, even if temporarily; 3. Provide players with the ability to keep track of their inventory of materials; 4. Provide players with an idea of the type of landmark buildings that will be made available in the future: is this a leisure island or will it be more of a proper town with say a post office, a bakery, a school, etc. (?); 5. Maintain a steady offering of landmark buildings subject to periodic upgrades. The lapse of time between the offering of the amphitheater and of the Orchid opera forced me to eliminate a chunk of the roads to replace it with items that would yield higher return/orchids and enable me to get to the next level to keep up with June. That is unavoidable change made things a bit crowded and less realistic.
I believe these tweaks would optimize the game. My observations are not meant as a criticism. I am impressed by the level of care in the development of this game and it is with that sentiment that I offer my perspective. Thanks again for the many hours of entertainment and for expressing your talent in thus outstanding product worthy of our sophisticated and smart June. Well done!

June's Journey Fun but sometimes tedious and irritating

I like hidden objects games and this is a decent one - but - there could be improvements.

Summary, scenes last entirely too long and become boring, hints given in chapters are fun but not necessary for those who like hidden object games. Mini games aren’t worth your time. Don’t decorate your Island with anything other than the objects that will continue to earning flowers and coins for advancing levels. You’re required to renovate a lighthouse to advance through levels. It’s boring and tedious. This game is fun but could be so much better. For more info on what’s been mentioned here, keep reading.

1. You play chapters. During each chapter, you play scenes where you find the objects. You have to complete five stars per scene to master it and move to the next scene in the chapter. While it’s nice to have the same scene to hunt for objects in, the scene becomes more complicated as you complete each star for the scene with the last two stars taking incredibly too long to complete. It gets boring after starting the fourth star and also begins taking longer to fill the last two stars because more points are required to complete these than on previous stars.

2. Each scene provides 2 clues to solve whatever the chapter is about. You earn the clues when you begin the first and fourth stars. After obtaining the second clue, there isn’t much incentive to master the remaining fourth and fifth stars of the scene, except to advance to the next chapter. This is tedious and irritating because, as mentioned above, the fourth and fifth stars take incredibly more points to fill and repeating the scene over and over again becomes boring and tedious.

3. There are mini games that can be played to earn star boxes, coins, energy, puzzle pieces and decorations. One of These requires tickets that you earn when completing scenes. The mini games are timed hidden object puzzles. You must advance down paths to platforms where you earn stash. Each platform takes you to better stash. For people who don’t perform well in timed environments, skip this mini game. The prizes you earn aren’t worth the anxiety.

The second mini game is collecting pictures of items to create a collection. These are difficult to obtain and this is also a timed event. During these events, you have a set number of days to obtain the pictures required for each scene or story. Once you complete a story, you win something. You typically get the photos for your collections firing the timed mini game and seldom in the regular play portion of the game. Many of the pieces you collect are duplicates meaning they will give you coins but keeps you from completing the collections for the game. Because the pictures for the collection are so difficult to o rain and because there are so many duplicates, it’s very difficult and frustrating to collect everything you need to complete a collection. After playing three different versions of this mini game I determined it was a waste of my time because it’s impossible to complete collections unless you want to spend a lot of Mo way.

4. You can purchase items to decorate your Island. Some earn coins or flowers. The rest is for show. If you like playing decorating games go for it but if you don’t, only purchase the items that will earn you flowers and coins. You do t have to decorate your Island.

5. Part of the game is restoring a lighthouse. If you want to advance levels you must restore it. Honestly, this is a waste of time and I wouldn’t have done this except that it was required to advance levels.

6. The developers of the game try to get you to join teams for missions. Why? If you don’t have people you know who are playing this isn’t much fun. There is an option in this section to buy drinks for people to earn tips. Just doesn’t seem like a necessary addition to the game.

7. Finally, the graphics are good with plenty of objects to find in the scenes. It’s a large app though so it takes time to download.

June's Journey Bait and switch

Initially I loved this game, as there are many things to love about the game. For the first 30 days, it is easy to play as much as you want. This is mainly because in the first 30 days, there is a “daily delivery” from the delivery man, which is often times in the form of “energy”. So in the beginning it’s easy to play a lot because your avatar doesn’t seem to run out of energy. However, after the 30 days is up, the delivery guy stops delivering, and there aren’t as many opportunities to get energy. Every round of the game costs 15 units of energy, and the further you go in the game, and the harder it is, your energy doesn’t last as long or go as far. So you keep running out of energy and can’t play. This means that you can no longer play, or you can start making “In-app-purchases”. In order to get more energy, you have to trade in “Diamonds” that you have earned throughout the game (which take forever to acquire, especially once the delivery man stops coming, since he brings those too) or you have the option to purchase them with real life currency. Now, if paying a flat fee to permanently fill the energy bar was an option, I probably wouldn’t mind that...except that’s not the case. There was a link for an energy upgrade listed as “permanent “ (which I did indeed pay way more for it than I should have) but the energy did not last, and I was soon back to where I started with no “energy” left to play with. It just feels like false advertising. So in short, they wait until you are 30 days in, and very invested in the game, to then suddenly sucker you into paying a bunch of money just to play on a “free” app. It just feels wrong to have to keep paying just to play the game. You shouldn’t have to pay $25-$30 every couple of days just to be able to play.

*Update- The game is getting increasingly more frustrating the further I go. I am now on level 68, and it is now requiring waaaay more flowers to increase to every single scene (not level, SCENE). For example, one scene required 300-something flowers, and then the next one showed that I needed 700-something just to play the next scene. In order to get the flowers, you have to buy more decorations for your island...only all of the decorations are now requiring way more time to complete. Most of them take 2-3 entire days to complete and reward you the flowers. So you have to wait DAYS before you can advance to the next scene, ridiculous! Oh, and there is the issue of the prices of the seasonal objects, which are absolutely absurd! These objects are priced in the thousands and up to $24,000! It takes forever to save up for them! The other HUGE issue, is that while you need to buy a bunch of crap for your island to earn the flowers, there is nowhere to put all of the stuff because you run out of space, due to the inability to earn the compasses fast enough. You have to play scenes to earn compasses, only you can’t play scenes if you don’t have enough flowers (or energy, which is another major issue), and can’t earn flowers if you don’t build more stuff, but can’t buy more stuff if you don’t have enough coins earned from playing scenes, and you can’t build more decorations if you have no more space on your island...you get my point of the absurdity of it all.
Oh, but this can all be avoided if you pay real-life currency to purchase diamonds in the game to speed up the building of decorations to earn your flowers, or to pay to earn more energy. But it takes a ton of diamonds to do so. And every time you spend $19.99, it’s gone in a few minutes. I’ve made several in app purchases, and it doesn’t get you very far. There is no bang for your buck. I wouldn’t mind paying for a paid version of this game where you have unlimited energy, but that probably won’t happen as long as we keep getting suckered into continuously paying into this one. They need to decrease the amount of flowers needed to advance, decrease the amount of energy needed to pass each scene, decrease the amount of coins needed for decorations, and increase the amount of compasses given.

June's Journey Super fun and high quality, but pricing is CRAZY

I don’t usually take the time to write reviews for apps. I think this might be my first one. But I’m taking the time for this one because it needs to be addressed. I want so much to give it 5 stars, but the pricing system is such an issue that I considered giving it 3.

First of all, the game itself is absolutely delightful. I love the story and characters. The art and character designs are breathtaking. As a professional matte painter and character designer, I’m super picky and won’t even play a game if the art isn’t great. The story is engaging. The original score is beautiful and well done. The atmosphere of the game is peaceful and positive, I enjoy playing it to relax. It captures the 1920s atmosphere so well, far better than most games supposed to be in a period setting. The UI is shiny, intuitive and beautiful. Overall everything is extremely polished and high quality, rare in a phone/tablet game. I enjoy the frequent events, and being able to decorate my island with a wide variety of unique, detailed assets is a super fun addition.

However, that’s where things get frustrating. The game is not pay-to-play or pay-to-win. But if you don’t spend a lot of money, it’s EXTREMELY difficult and time consuming to gain the things you need to progress. It’s taken me almost two years*** to reach Chapter 11 without spending any money, and that’s playing almost every day.

To play the hidden object scenes, you need energy, which you can win but is quite rare. The energy bar refills every 4 hours, but only enough to complete 1 of 5 levels in 1 hidden object scene. If you’re not lightning fast at finding objects (which I am) and don’t get a Perfect every time (which I usually do), your progress on that scene only goes up a couple percent. And you have to reach 100% to unlock the boxes you need to get energy, diamonds, etc. You have to play one hidden object scene up to 50+ times to master it. Imagine how long that takes when you’re waiting for the energy bar to refill. Usually boxes contain a few coins and a ton of supplies to upgrade buildings— so I’ll end up with 150 boards or hammers I don’t need, but no energy.

You can buy energy with diamonds, but it’s extremely rare to win those and you usually only get one or two. You can buy diamonds, but $10 worth of diamonds doesn’t even get you enough energy to master one hidden object scene.

And then there’s the pricing on the decorations for the island. These are plants, buildings, paths, etc. You have to decorate your island to earn flowers, and earning a certain number of flowers is required to uplevel and read the next chapter. But the prices of most decorations are nothing short of insane. Some items can only be bought with real money, and a little fountain is simply not worth $12. Items from seasonal sets, or nicer items like buildings, can be anywhere from 30,000 to 100,000 coins.

Yes, you read that right.

There are less expensive items, but we’re still talking 1,500 coins for a single bush, and who wants to fill their island with nothing but bushes in order to progress? You also have to earn stars by completing hidden object scenes to unlock even the *optionto buy decorations, but the requirements for that are insane too. This ranges from a few hundred to a few THOUSAND stars just to get the option to buy a picnic table, some lily pads, or a lamppost. Not even the coins you need to get them! To buy 25,000 coins with real money costs $100! I’ve never shied away from spending a little money on games I truly enjoy and am invested in, but this is at a level I’m simply not willing or able to pay for a phone/tablet game.

The only reason I’m still with June’s Journey after all this time and effort, is because I enjoy the strategizing and challenging myself that is required to progress without spending money. But that’s a personal preference, and the vast majority of people are not interested in having to do that to play a phone game. I’ve gotten quite a few of my friends to start playing the game, only for all of them to give up and delete the app fairly quickly, because the pricing and difficulty of getting anything was so frustrating. You lost a lot of players from the word-of-mouth of just one person.

Obviously I understand that the game needs to make money to pay its super talented and busy staff of artists, writers, programmers, 3D renderers, etc. who keep high quality updates coming at a breakneck pace. But if the price point and structure isn’t reined in, I’m starting to lose interest and may delete the app soon.

June's Journey Conundrum Continues

Please respond to this inquiry. Do you no longer support older iOS versions? I have a Mini 2 and it has maxed out at v 12.5 and the game is no longer enjoyable because it won’t maintain extended play before it shuts down. I would just like to know if it’s your issue or if my devise is just to old to support the game well. Thank you for your prompt reply to this inquiry.

***update. Right now I would go lower than 1 star. Used to be fun, used to be able to even play the game. It is so glitchy now I rarely am even able to get the game loaded. Right before I started this review update I sat for over 5 minutes and the load never got past 76%. And that was the second attempt after one of your ads shut down the game the first time. Been playing for a couple years. It’s never been this bad and I have no idea why it’s happening. For now, you’ve lost me. If you have any suggestions I’d love to hear them.

*** updated: dropped to 1 star. I am finding it difficult to enjoy the game. 3 times tonight your video ads crashed my tablet. It’s bad enuf waiting for the ad to load. Then to have it shut down the game. I am forced each time to reboot my tablet, reload the game and use up all my time that I once had to use the benefit of lower energy use. Tonight I was on the verge of receiving an 8 gem reward for completing cases when it crashed. I am not sure why you can’t get this problem fixed. There is no real pattern as to which ads do it. Some more than others, like the “Pac-Man” add do it every time. Get it fixed or I’ll be finding a new game to enjoy.***

I am 420 levels into the game. I have loved playing it. It’s a great game with different ways to find enjoyment. But I’ve hit a road block that has me quickly losing interest in the game. Since the game requires opening expansion areas to create room to build onto the island a player must earn enough compasses to open a new area. At this point in the game the compasses are coming so seldom that I sometimes have to wait days, playing multiple times per day to get anywhere close to enough compasses to build. Since I cannot build, I cannot earn the flowers necessary to open up a new section of the story. Since I cannot play new levels I cannot earn enough coins fast enough to open new buildings or decorations. And even if I could get enough coins I have nowhere to put them since the expansion areas can’t get used without the compasses. At this point I will not be able to earn enough flowers anywhere that will open a new level for me to play for days if not a week or more. It seems the game is designed for this conundrum. It seems like a lousy marketing move. Your ads are annoying and intrusive but I have put up with them. But now since I can’t play I’ll not be seeing any of those ads. It seems that your strategy is to get players to a point where they must buy coins and flowers, spending real money in order to keep playing. At this point I have nowhere to build and if you put items into storage to make room to build you just go backwards in your flower count. I find enjoyment in designing the placement of the buildings and decor with the seasonal themes throughout the island and I am not interested in destroying the island as I have it designed. I will not spend money on a so called “free” game and be forced to watch ads as well. The conundrum continues.
***update: what’s with forcing us to buy new cases? I choose not to to involve myself in the cafe. You came up with cases that are solved in the context of the cafe in order to get the reward. So when I want to opt out of the cases that have to do with the cafe you charge me jewels to make a change. Bad decision. Why would you alienate a portion of your players by penalizing them? You’re now down to two stars because of your insistence to to create new ways for your players to be penalized. Bad marketing.
***Update 2*** your game has become horribly glitchy. First, when watching videos to get a reward it takes an incredibly long time to load. It often takes 90 seconds and longer to watch a 30 second add. You need to get this fixed. It’s getting easier to lose interest in your game because of it. Second, when loading a video to watch to get the reduced energy reward, the reward is given before the ad has loaded for us to watch. The 30 mins begin to tick off and suddenly the video loads and now you’re forced to watch the video while the clock ticks away. The last time it happened nearly 2 minutes were were lost while your annoying ad was deciding to play or not. This needs to get fixed or you need to stop forcing us to watch ads until you get it fixed. Third, your ad for slots that show the leprechauns is terribly glitchy. You watch the ad, it switches to the second part of the ad, then... it causes the game to freeze up. The screen goes black, nothing I can do restores the game and I am forced to reboot my tablet. It happens every time this ad comes on. When this happens, I stop playing. This is really bad for your marketing. I would not recommend anyone load and play the game. At least not till you get these glitches fixed.

Like the game but losing interest.

June's Journey WE Made YOU #1, did you forget about that?

Update #3*** Ever since Wooga was sold to Playtika, June’s Journey & Pearls Peril went downhill. But this review is about JJ.

I’m now actually convinced that the updates are probably not messing up the rotations of the games, but they have made it so the games are not rotating through all of the games. And they’ve removed a few of the good games with harder to achieve ones.

This is done so we will use our diamonds to refresh a game. Making it so we have to “buy” more diamonds . Okay, SO NOT gonna happen Wooga. You have not only tripled the price of your packages, from $4.99 to $14.99 and up. But you’ve now taken away our ability to buy more than one coffee. You’ve shot yourselves in the foot! I hope your shareholders are happy with you now ✌

This has a detrimental effect on small teams, and players that don’t want to be on a team. But as many times as I’ve begged you to listen to me via email. I always get a cut and paste reply. And I save each one of them too. I screenshot everything, bad game rotation, bad email responses (yes, EVERYTHING) and now we’re getting automated robot emails? ‍♀️ and our ability to reply back to those automated emails are removed? We can’t reply back to said email? Ridiculous, and needless to say so frustrating!

WE made YOU #1 that first year or did you forget about that? It had nothing to do with anything else but your faithful players. and now we’re being penalized. Especially your small teams and non team players. You are greedy, and greed is evil. I can’t wait to see you crumble, because yes you will have a few people that buy your packages. But there’s so many more players that won’t. Our eyes are wide open now. Never again will you get a penny from me, or any of my teammates.

Peace Out ✌

***UPDATE #2*** I’m officially giving JJ a 3 star rating! They are not admitting that their updates have anything to do with the non-rotating games in the Help Wanted Games. I’ve pointed this out via email to the support team long ago, telling them to let the technical team look into this issue. But still this is happening, every update causes the HW games to stop rotating! And in the last 3 months, JJ has done update after update! I swear they must do updates every other week! They just did one yesterday, and in 8 days a new collection comes out.. Yep, another update! So players will get no relief from the non rotating HW games yet again! And still no one says anything about this!?! Look into it Wooga! ***UPDATE***I’m about to go from a 4 star review to a 3 star review. But because this is my favorite game I will hold off for a little bit longer. They just had another update a few days ago, claiming they were fixing a few bugs! Well if they fixed anything I can tell you it wasn’t the Help Wanted game! Again this game is ALWAYS affected by the developers updates! I’ve emailed the support team a number of times, and I’m sure they’re tired of hearing from me. I LOVE the HW game, it has allowed me to play longer, and I have won a bunch of pink boxes by completing the HW tasks. When the HW game is running smoothly, it rotates 10 games. Honestly I’ve noticed that not all games are always rotated all the time, most of them are. Probably 8 out of 10 consistently rotate. But at least most are rotating consistently. But when they do an update, I literally get 2 rotating games, Collect 45 Coins From the Estate, & Play 8 games. Each of these games make it so you have very little game play. And this happens every time an update is done, not sometimes, but every time! I think it’s time to remove the Collect 45 from the one point game. It’s definitely the one game that is giving the most problems to us players. Once you collect the 45 coins it will take you all day to collect another 45 coins. And on another note, I’ve noticed that we’re now getting one compass a day playing scenes. The rest are given out in the blue and pink boxes. And I’ve also noticed that the Character Cards have not been showing up in the blue boxes lately.*** I’ve been playing for over a year now and I’m almost done with level 100. I’m a decorator and I love the FREE storage! The only players who don’t like it, are the ones that have not yet figured out how to use it to their advantage! I love the storyline, lol yet I wish the characters would change their outfits to fit the scenes! The graphics are awesome! But I’ve noticed that the further along you get, the smaller the objects get! Very hard on the eyes! My biggest complaint is about the updates, EVERY single time an update is done, the Help Wanted Game stops rotating. I get the same 1 point games over and over again. And when I email support about this, I get a cut and paste answer telling me how to play!?! Ummm HELLO! I know how to play people! Very frustrating to throughly explain what is going on in a detailed email, and get a cut and paste reply that has nothing to do with my problem. I’ve repeatedly asked that this be brought up to the technical department. This has been happening ever since the Help Wanted game was introduced. I’ve literally gotten to the point where I don’t want to play. And this is my favorite game. I sure hope this reaches someone who has some sense of what to do with this information! It needs to be talked about and fixed!

June's Journey Fun for casual players - not great for long term or competitive players

As a new player, I wrote a positive review of this game. After playing longer term, I have mixed feedback.

TL;DR: the game is entertaining and skill-based, and is pretty solid for the first ~50-100 hours. For longer term / competitive players, it needs work. Overall, the ad balance needs serious work, and several other things need rebalancing for a better player experience. For a casual/solo player, I’d give it 4 stars. As a competitive/longterm player, I give it 2-3 stars.

THE GOOD:

-The game mechanic for solo / story mode play is 100% skill-based. I like that it works my brain. You can play at your own pace; I like to play quickly and get high scores, but you can also play in a more leisurely way. The storyline and 20s theme kept me interested for quite a while.

-Loot boxes (blue and pink star boxes) are easy to get as you go through story mode, and give good resources, including energy. There are also frequent, bonus solo events that give you even more resources.

-The social / club aspect of the game is fairly solid. Once I found an active group, I enjoyed it. I like the detective league, and I like playing (most) competitions with my club. It’s a little tricky to find a good club within the in-game mechanics, but not impossible.

THE BAD:

I have a lot of gripes with the game that have become more annoying the longer I’ve played, as a semi-competitive player (~60 hrs/mo). Here are my biggest issues:

-Ads: I like two things about your ads: they don’t autoplay, and watching one ad to get a 30 mins energy discount is a good deal. But otherwise, my biggest complaint about this game is the length and frequency of ads. To have a full game experience, you have to do cases, and you have to watch full ads CONSTANTLY. They are often long (30 secs or more), often not skippable, and there’s an additional countdown timer that can go for as long as 35+ secs before even getting to the ad itself. I’m obsessive so I sit through them anyway, but it is ridiculous to have to sometimes wait for more than 75 secs for ONE ad break...and repeat that experience as often as every few mins if you’re efficient with your cases. This needs to change - it’s a complete turn off from playing. Some possible suggestions: make all ads skippable after 5 seconds, limit them to 15 seconds, reduce your countdown timer to 15 seconds, disable ads when there’s a case bonus going, have some kind of system where I can watch one long, premium ad for 30 mins of ad-free play - IDK, do *somethingto improve this. The more you play, the laggier ads get. It’s awful.

-If I skip a case, it should be removed from the pool for a set amount of time. I hate spending gems to skip a case, and then getting it again the next go round.

-Stored items need to count towards your total flower count. I wind up with a trash island because I want to progress in the story mode - especially with the seasonal decor from pink boxes. It completely defeats the purpose of being able to decorate nicely, and creates an annoying, unnecessary conflict that feels punishing and not fun.

-The competition rewards drop off dramatically if you don’t get first place. It makes me not want to play if we’re behind. There should be decreasing numbers of pink boxes (or whatever the premium reward is) for the 1st-3rd place, and something better than the dinky 4-6 compasses for people who come after. I’d honestly rather get coins over compasses - 6 compasses is 1/6 of a tile cleared. Not incentivizing at all.

-Scoring in solo play is glitchy, and I frequently wind up with a much lower score than I should have for a given run, which is super annoying.

Lastly: Change coffee back. People are complaining for good reason. It was a solid income stream for you - people who were maxing out coffee were buying/spending 100 gems/day *each*. It felt rewarding and it encouraged club participation, even at fewer coffees - that all tanked when you nerfed coffee. To buy the same energy individually, I have to spend ~350 gems. If you legitimately wanted to stop people from getting extra coffee from club swapping, you should have done something to directly address that (e.g. freeze players from club activities for x hours when switching clubs). You claimed this coffee change was to make things more fair, but now F2P players can’t play nearly as much or fully participate in comps - it’s *significantlyless fair. And your response to the player backlash left a bad taste in my mouth. We are your player base. We have to enjoy playing this game for you to make money. Make the game fun to play, and make buying rewarding. I do mobile game analysis and it boggles my mind that so many games go the Scrooge route - it actually makes *lessmoney for you, the developer. People feel much *lesscompelled to buy if they feel *punishedfor not buying - and much *morecompelled to buy if they feel like they have enough, but could get even more for a good deal - it’s rewarding. Scarcity is not fun and does not foster long term / repeat players/buyers. FWIW, I don’t intend to spend any more money on this game. I was a heavy-ish player - ~60 hrs/mo & ~$20-40/mo on gems. Your coffee overhaul was a bright line for me - there was no valid justification beyond a cash grab; it made the game less fun, equitable, and collaborative; the reasons you gave didn’t check out or could have been solved in other ways; and that one letter from your CEO (or whoever it was) was seriously slimy. My $20-40/mo may be small potatoes, but it will still be going elsewhere unless coffee reverts back (keep the 60 min coffees tho - that was good).

BTW - no response is better than a canned one. I’ve seen nothing but on other comments, and it’s honestly insulting to this level of detailed feedback. TY.

June's Journey Mysteries game

To whom it may concern

We are only a team of five whom wish to participate in the mysteries game.

Last time we played mysteries we were put on the highest tier of the 3 game options.

1. Small

2. Medium

3. Hard

This I believe to be unfair practice, as we are only five players.

I have written to the wooga app, in the game.

I have found no support, so I am reaching out to you here.

Please see attached, pictures.

Desired outcome: I would appreciate a response that is fair for our team of five players please. We would like for our team to have a winning chance, with the smaller option of play.Thank you

To whom it may concern

The Wooga team have been blocking players from entering my team. The game has been actively blocking me from recruiting members via advertising on many platforms run by wooga on Facebook. Below is My team that I placed for an ad yesterday. Next to my ad, is someone's else's post, the discrepancy is undeniable, and plain to see.

This game has a big issue with freezing. Your whole time playing is spent reloading the game. It has been full on nostop for last 6mths with no end in sight. Instead of enjoyable it makes you feel frustrated and fed up. I have done everything that is advised to fix it and contacted them many, many times, but they do nothing but give apologise cut and paste...

June's Journey I was charged for a purchase that I did not make.

Good afternoon,

I am (was) an avid player on Junes Journey. If you look up my history on the game, you'll find that I've made many, many purchases on the app to support Wooga. Back when I first started playing, I noticed a charge on my account that they promptly refunded after I had them look into it. I've played ever since! It was my favorite game. Then, on the 7/25, I was alerted by my bank that Wooga charged my account $9.99. I did not make any purchases, so I contacted them and asked them to look into it and to refund my money. They reviewed and denied it. In turn, I contacted them again asking for a refund. They again, denied it, without any explanation.

I'm an honest person and I will make purchases when I can afford it, but right now, I cant. I literally begged for a refund and they refused. Sadly, I deleted the game, but I have lost trust in this company due to the fraudulent charges.

Desired outcome: I would like to be refunded

June's Journey Ridiculous Changes to Diamond Rewarding Bushes

This game used to be fabulous, when I started playing 2 years ago. Competition prizes were worth competing for, and in a well organized team each player would get 14 diamonds from bush exchange. First you reduced dramatically competition prizes - the motivation to compete is completely gone. Then you tried to take away our drinks that would provide us with energy to play our game, competitions and detective league. Since that move resulted in large uproar, you brought those drinks back, but you didn’t learn anything from it. Then you introduced quite impossible for some players to complete Sweep the Board. You know perfectly well that about 60% ( if not more) of your players are 50-70 years old women. The only way for a lot of them to complete STB is to spend diamonds. You also introduced Memoirs - quite attractive island decorations with great prizes, but unattainable to a lot of players for the same reason - without spending diamonds it’s hard to complete it. At the same time you removed those few diamonds as a prize from Detective League. And now, as a final blow, you removed guaranteed diamond reward from bushes that we can gift. That is an outrageous move. I’m the president of a great, competitive club. All my teammates are simply angry over this latest change. Seven out of 15 people were spending money on the game on regular basis, but 8 teammates do not have recourses to do so. Those 8 teammates were relying on diamonds from bushes to serve 2d, and sometimes even 3d beverage. With guaranteed diamond reward gone, they will not be able to do that anymore. We kept track of diamonds from new bushes for 3 days, and odds to get diamonds are minuscule. We all feel that you are trying to push your players to make diamond purchases. That’s exactly why we pledged not to spend anymore money on this game, until this guaranteed diamond reward from bushes issue will be resolved. You need to appreciate your players - without our real money purchases the game will hardly survive. It doesn’t seem like my review was read. If I would be “ happy with the game”, I would not give it a 1 star rating.

June's Journey Good game - very serious flaws

I’ve thought for several days before leaving this negative review. I’ve been playing for over two months, am at level 122 and have made at least 4 purchases. But I’ll be deleting the game after I write this review. To begin with, you do not reward longevity. The daily rewards ceased after 30 days. This makes no sense. Long term players see more ads, and are more likely to make actual purchases to advance the game. This garners no appreciation. The storyline itself is contrived. But this is a game and I don’t expect literature - just plots that are a bit better thought out with fewer gaps. Now we come to the two deal breakers. I have saved my coins to make large “purchases” netting 800 flowers. Only 300+ of the flowers were applied to the next level. The rest disappeared. The first time this happened I thought I had miscalculated but it happened again today. More than irritating, when you think how long it takes to accumulate 24000 coins. This could be resolved through customer service, perhaps, and I might have pursued that but for this second thing. June’s Journey is what I consider to have a PG rating. Pretty tame stuff, and that is precisely what I want. What I don’t want, and will not tolerate, are ads featuring sexual immorality and violence. I was appalled by the sexual content of an ad that was run last week, and turned my eyes from the screen. I thought if it ran again, it was game over. It didn’t, but today there was an ad showing a young man armed with a machete busily hacking zombies. I turned my tablet upside down till the ad was over. It ran again the very next ad. I play computer games to relax and train my memory. I’m careful what games I choose so I don’t expose myself to undesirable content. Those ads felt like a physical assault on my senses and I will not risk further exposure to their like. I’m surely not the only person who objects to R rated ads being run in a PG game. Have the decency to post a warning if you are going to accept such advertisers. These ads have completely ruined June’s Journey. I’m leaving, but for the sake of others, please consider revisiting your standards for advertisers.

June's Journey GREED HAS OVERTAKEN WOOGA!

Us players used to trust Wooga to be different than all of the others money grubbing companies out there. They stood apart as a company that cared about its players and gave a great gaming experience even to those that can’t afford to purchase diamonds or items, etc. I’ve been playing JJ for years, loved the game & storyline, spent money on diamonds & special decorations now and again BUT I’m done, I will not spend anymore money, watch anymore ads, play their competitions or in their leagues. They keep changing thing’s to try and squeeze more and more money out of people but not fixing, existing, glitches, mistakes, etc. I’ve gone along with all this, turned a blind eye, hoping they would fix and improve upon the game but they have not. They have gifted items and then taken them from us (glitch/error they created), had competitions where there were actual missing items in scenes but did not end comp or fix glitch, posted competitions and then changed them, had glitches in the game that cost player’s energy or money but tried to blame the player’s. This company has a zero fault problem, It’s NEVER THEIR FAULT. The customer service and technical help are “Nonexistent”. If you post a problem or something they do not like on their group boards, they delete it. If you have a problem, period, they do not care and do not help. Now Wooga has implemented in game games that are IMPOSSIBLE ago win the decorations without paying LOTS of money to win them and in most cases you still don’t get enough of the needed items to win ever after spending a tremendous amount of cash. EVERYTHING is designed to force you to spend money. Lately, this has been the worst gaming experience I have EVER had so I do not recommend playing June’s Journey to anyone unless of course you want to spend lots of money for a lot of aggravation. It’s sad that 6 months ago I would of told you how amazingly awesome June’s Journey was... I never felt taken advantage of or forced to spend money to continue with game play but NOW, I’ll tell you, it’s not worth installing! Save your time and money for something that’s better than this! Wooga you should be ashamed!

I TOTALLY AGREE with this complaint as I am finding the same problems and issues myself. Ice had to put in more and more money to try and get to a new kernel and they keep coming back with"you haven't sent enough money" in our the same problem still exists you need to put in more and more deviations, etc. In really ferrying sick of it, unfortunate. I used TY with this game. I stopped playing once cuz it got to expensive to play and looks like I'll need to do the same again.

Would like to get this resolved with you, wooga, but I am not holding my breath.

June's Journey Designed for those who want to spend money on apps

I have been playing this game for several months, and have somehow managed to make it to level 80. I say somehow because this game is obviously designed so that the only way you truly advance and enjoy this game is if you spend money. I have not spent any money on this game, and have only watched the ads. Sure, you can wait the 3-4 days for whatever building or decoration to complete (by which time, you’ve probably forgotten whatever it was anyway). I don’t pay attention to the story line anymore, because it’s pointless to. Because of the delays in being able to move forward, it’s so fragmented, I have to do a memory check to figure out what’s going on. In order to get the money and materials to build and decorate at these higher levels, not to mention just waiting the decorating out, you end up having to play the same scenes over and over and over. It gets really old. It’s just unfortunate that wooga doesn’t consider the income generated from the plethora of ads watched in lieu of paying actual money good enough to advance. You will find comment after comment about the wait times, but they haven’t changed this. They’ve improved what materials you get, the number of compasses you get (for the most part), but not the wait times. So, if you are willing to pay the $.99 here, there for a topiary, for a ton of energy/diamonds/compasses etc., you will love this game. It really is good, just not worth a never ending stream of income.

EDIT: Developers response shows they’re not really reading their followers reviews. I play the free version. My frustration with this game comes from how long it takes for things to progress, such as buildings etc., which, in my opinion, reinforces that this game is only interested in those willing to pay. Because you will find review after review stating the same thing I am saying, that this game gets pointless and boring the longer you play it because it gets impossible to move forward without waiting exorbitant amounts of time. Because the developers didn’t really read my review, and obviously aren’t listening to the plethora of people who have the exact same complaint, I’m dropping my rating.

June's Journey Game is: S L O W, F R U S T R A T I N G, & now Incredibly PUSHY and INTRUSIVE

UPDATE: 1/22 -- WOOGA is now advertising on television to gain players for June's Journey. After reading the reviews since I dumped the App on 9/21 -- NOTHING HAS CHANGED. Nope -- KEEP YOUR MISERABLE APP!

UPDATE 9/21: PUSHY and incredibly INTRUSIVE! This morning, I received a notice that REQUIRES me to download the newest game version or I cannot continue. The download includes a 16-page document that you must read and accept all of the terms, conditions, and intrusiveness ...as well as accept a multitude of additional terms and conditions that are incorporated by reference. Among other things, the 16-page document gives them the right to access your devices, collect,(and use) your personal information.
NO! Final straw -- At Chapter 34 -- I'm done. Goodbye!

UPDATE 9/20: Today, Players are being invited to participate in a special promotion to commemorate WOOGA's one-year anniversary. Participation in the promotion requires the Player to have an account with FACEBOOK. I neither have a FACEBOOK account, nor do I want one! I declined the invitation. NO THANK YOU! The mailbox notification does not disappear from view over the Island mailbox. Players are being pushed into accepting.

Watch video to reduce energy to 10 instead of 15 -- still SLOW!
Advancements require more and more energy to complete each scene. Dig up dead trees and stones to acquire diamonds only works if you get enough compasses to advance! Compasses are few and far between. Digging up gifted plants only works if other players give them to you. You may give, but many players do not reciprocate. Become accustomed to playing only a few minutes at a time, several times per day, because that is all you will get before the energy runs out -- AGAIN! Become accustomed to replaying scenes -- multiple times -- because you will wait three and four days for items to complete construction. Do not expect proper grammar from characters and do not be surprised when you are instructed to find objects that were not invented in the 1920's. If you complain, do not be surprised if your reviews are blocked. Yes, this game is SLOW and FRUSTRATING!

June's Journey Update-

08/23/2022: Those Ads. Most of the time when ads end you can’t get out of them. They just sit there. I often have to reboot my device and sometimes that doesn’t help. So frustrating. I don’t play the game as much as I used to.

I no longer enjoy this game as you have to wait too long to be able to advance in the game. That being said I have deleted the app & will no longer play this game. Update 02/17: once again I can’t advance as I am being told to “visit storage “ & clear storage. The problem is not having enough space to put the items that are in storage. I don’t have enough compasses to get additional space nor can I play the game to get more compasses. So frustrating when you can’t advance. Fun game. Update #4. From support I have been told I need more flowers. Can’t play to get more compasses to give me more space. Can’t put more decorations because I have no more space. Catch 22. Day 7 & I still can’t play. It has been fun but will be deleting the app Update #3. It has now been 6 days since I haven’t been able to advance to the next level 231. First it said I had to go to storage. Cleared out storage, then told me to decorate which I did. Just keeps telling me to decorate. It is a vicious cycle. I have sent numerous messages to support and yet here I am still trying to move forward. I have done everything support has said to do. This is a fun game but I can no longer recommend this game to others. I am at a standstill. Support advised to sell property then move items from storage. Works for a while and you are stuck for days. With the Railroad Riddles starting today, I won’t be able to enjoy this new adventure. I have been playing for a very long time and I am very disappointed with what has happened. Developers need to see all reviews regarding this same issue. It appears that majority of players have same complaints—-having to wait way too long to continue playing. I have been trying for days to expand an area only to be told check storage. That would be fine if there was some place to put the stored items. This is a great game, but not being able to play for days is quite frustrating. Developers, please take heed and read the complaints.

June's Journey Good graphics but real issues

The game has a good story and is broken into scenes. There is also an estate you must decorate to get access to additional scenes. Each scene has 5 stars you can earn by playing and finding hidden objects, which give you coins, building materials and sometimes energy or other items. The first star in a scene will fill easily in a few plays; the last couple of stars are very difficult, requiring several perfect scores to fill them. The issues I have are that even if you get a perfect in the last couple of stars, you will only advance 6-8 percent. That means you need a perfect score 13-15 times to fill the final star. Since you recharge to a maximum of 110 energy and it takes 15 energy per play (or 10 energy per play if you watch an ad), you cannot complete the last star even with a full energy bar. Also, if you get an energy award and claim it when your energy is low, it will still only charge to 110 energy. Finding the hidden objects is not easy, as they will often be in shadow or behind sun glare or otherwise obscured. While the game idea is nice, it is designed to make you spend money to get ahead, or you need to be patient as it may take days, literally to get through a scene. Each chapter has several scenes in it, so a single chapter may take a couple of weeks to finish.

The developers sent a response within a short time, which I appreciated. Initially I rated this 3 stars, but after the past couple of weeks, I demoted it to 2 stars and thought about 1 star. The reason is mainly about additional items like snippets, which are cutouts from memoir pictures. Each picture needs 9 snippets to complete. While you can complete a few pictures, for most of them you need rarer 4-star and 5-star snippets. However, after the first few packs they start repeating. I won a 4-star pack, and ALL of the snippets were Deja VU repeats. That is so wrong! What sort of prize is that? Just as a reference, out of 80-90 snippets in the past couple of weeks, 71 were repeats! I understand there is a need for a profit, but Wooga is getting way too greedy.

The deja VU tokens can be turned in for energy, but only three times. You can buy hints for a competition, but I’ve yet to see it. Or you can buy a portrait of a character for your avatar, but how does that help your game?

June's Journey Death of a Loved One

I have been a very happy player of June’s Journey for 2-1/2 years. I have loved the game and played it many times a day. The recent changes in the game, which I deplore, sent me on a search for information about Playtika, the new owner and manager. What I found was extremely upsetting and I will be deleting the game. A portion of an article from Casino News Daily (Dec. 2018) is repeated below, but the basic bottom line is: the improvements long-time players have been asking for will not be made; after spending million on Wooga and other games, the only thing they are interested in is recouping their investments; they are a casino and gambling company owned by Chinese companies. The article reads, in part: “Playtika has paid more than million for [Wooga]...Playtika, which is based in Herzliya, Israel, announced earlier this year the establishment of its investment arm Playtika Growth Investments. The company also revealed plans to spend up to million through its investment division to acquire digital businesses that are already profitable or near breakeven and that offer proven products. Since founded in 2010, Playtika has spent more than million acquiring ten companies, excluding Wooga. The Israeli social casino game developer itself was sold twice to larger businesses. In 2011, Caesars Interactive, subsidiary of gaming and hospitality giant Caesars Entertainment Corp. bought Playtika for million. In 2016, a consortium of companies led by China’s Shanghai Giant Network Technology Co., Ltd. bought the studio for billion. Playtika’s game Slotomania has been a massive hit over the years. According to a report by Eilers & Krejcik Gaming, the game generates between million and million every month. Of their latest purchase, Playtika founder and CEO Robert Antokol said that they see great opportunities for the company in the casual games genre and the addition of Wooga ‘firmly positions [them] for this next phase of [their] evolution.’ “ FB complaints being censored, as reported by other reviewers, is typical of the Chinese. Being a patriotic American, I will not support a Chinese company. This game will get worse, not better, which is a crying shame because it was the best game on the internet. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS GAME.

June's Journey New lounge

I usually adjust easily to changes in games. I’ve been playing this one for five years. It helped me with memory issues.
But recently we got chose to be a beta tester for a new lounge. As a team we have decided we will not be playing any detective leagues. Just play the game for fun and not really participate. We won’t be buying diamonds because we won’t need them. They made it where if someone leaves a thing they have to wait 24 to 48 hours before they can serve the free drink. because of the new lounge it could be coins, tips, energy, ribbons. what they failed to mention is that they can purchase drinks. They can purchase ribbon drinks. If everybody on that team purchase five drinks of ribbons in a weeks time they will have over 15,000 ribbons. And a whole week that’s usually what we play in end up in Ace at the and in the top three.
But we will not be purchasing ribbons. Because when Sherlock can be bought it’s not a strategically playing game with the team.
It’s this company making money because people will buy more diamonds to get a little trophy and a purple bush. Oh let’s not forget about the gold. We don’t really care about gold. we don’t care if our building shine or not.
Shame on you for making this game disgusting. yes there will be teams that will pay out their nose to get the diamonds to get the ribbons. But we’re not one of them teams.
We like the new tip store. too bad you put gold instead of material.
You could have done better. You didn’t stop the turnstile teams. We couldn’t compete with them. We’re a team of 15 they’re a team of 45. And you didn’t see anything wrong with it. Well this team won’t be buying anything from you anymore. We spent a lot the last Detective league. But we’re not going to do it anymore. you can make your money from the teens that are willing to buy ribbons, make cash payments to get a virtual trophy.
This game has a lot of opportunities. And then they sit there and feel crappy and that does not benefit the players.
The prices are crappy, not worth spending money for.
Has become one of the worst games I’ve ever played. But because years ago they started teams up and I became part of a team and became friends with them and are connected to them. I would walk away. But those people are my people. And you have made this game where we want to just throw up

June's Journey If you don’t have tons of time or deep pockets, pick another game

This is long but you should read it before you play. I used to love this game. Have played for 3 years and it started as a hidden object game that was a fun way to kill time.
1. Then they added time limited challenges to meet while playing- that was fine.
2. Then they added teams and twice weekly competitions against other teams- again that was fine.
3. Then they added a 6 week world wide comp against all teams. You earn ribbons for regular play so logically it is possible to play the comp while just doing regular play. But if your team wants to win the prizes, it takes a lot of playing. After the 6 weeks is over, it has a week break then starts all over again- if you’re part of a team it’s mandatory to play this, and it’s starting to add up to too much. This would be fun if it it were just 2-3 times a year but revolving like it does is exhausting.
4. Then they added a game to earn “beautifications” which come with prizes that runs for 12 weeks then after it’s over there’s a week break and it starts again. To complete it you must earn packs through various regular and side game play- are you exhausted reading this yet? I am and it’s not done. Again it would be fun a few times a year, but continually going is exhausting.
5. Then they added another side game called sweep the board that is completely unrelated to the regular game other than having to play regular play to earn tickets to play sweep the board. And it contributes nothing to the items mentioned above but does give fun rewards. It last 3 days repeats at least twice/month- I actually like this one but with everything else, it’s exhausting
6. Then they changed up the teams and ways to build vital resources needed to play all these above with each other and added in the ability for players to buy their win in #3 above which has made the interest in #3 go away for those not able or willing to buy a win.
7. Then they added another game called Secrets that has nothing to do with anything else listed above except that you have to play regular play to earn keys to play it too- at this point I’m just over all of the things they keep adding and am not playing secrets because I don’t have the time or real life physical energy or interest to do more than I already do.
8. Now today they changed the chat function that is available to the team making it nearly impossible to talk to your teammates due to bugs present in it and I’m just frustrated.
If you don’t have tons of time or deep pockets, pick another game.

June's Journey Confused

I am a big fan of this game and love to play. I have a problem, I just earned the Whales from the current game by collecting snippets but I just realized that my dolphins from the previous contest have disappeared. Can you help me please and put them back? Thank you! Im writing an addendum to my previous review. After writing the first review about my missing dolphins I sent an email explains my problem. They responded the next day asking for a screen shot of the issue, which I did the same day. Next day the contacted me again asking me for further info. First they told me to go into game sittings and tap on ‘?’ Or ‘help’ then find the topic I am having issue with, if the help issue doesn’t apply select no at the bottom then contact us. Explain the issue and attach images. Hmmm, I already sent an image the first time and explained the issue. They also asked for my user ID which I had already sent. I was told the first time that was supposed to be an alternative method. I remind them they already have the image of my issue as I had sent it to them in my last response but I did include my ID again. My first request went out on December 27. The 28 I received 2 responses the first one asking for the image of my problem and the second asking for the image and all the other stuff mentioned above. Then on the 29 I got another request for more information and on and on. Pretty ridiculous at this point. Now today I read from a response sent on Jan 4, it reads as follows We have checked your game data and see you gained 101 snippets by the end of the first album of Memoirs, the requirement to gain the Dolphin Beautification was 108 so unfortunately you do not have access to this beautification. If you need any further assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Kind regards, Your Wooga Team This is not right or fair. If I had not earned these dolphins then why on earth were they added to my island. I’m sorry I can’t remember the date and time I received them but I know that I did earn them. Now it cost me nothing but my time to get them but I did earn them and I want them back. I play all the time and have even got a friend to join the game. We love playing and play every day, many times through out the day and I’ve been very happy. But something like this takes the fun out of the contest. if this can happen to one person it can happen to others and will likely happen again. And if your someone who spends money on the game, which I am, this will make a person very leery to do it again.

June's Journey Do not Play this Game! Waste of time and $

The game itself is not bad, in fact it’s fun and challenging. The problem I have is that the “game” is really nothing more than a solicitation device using a game format to maintain your interest while soliciting your money—either to buy something you need to move forward at a faster pace (still way too slow), or to download another app, also with in-app purchases. When that feedback has been shared in other reviews, the cut and paste responses is that you can play the game without spending real money. Sure you can, but the app has been expertly created so that the game becomes harder to advance without spending “real money” as you move further through the game—and the game appears to have no end. Still thinking of downloading? Unfortunately, most aspects of the game involve some type solicitation. Just think, you too could have the tremendous privilege of watching thousands (yes, thousands) of meaningless ads in order to move through a game with no end...just a little faster! When you get to higher levels of the game, you must choose whether to play a previously completed level for days or weeks to earn the coins you need to advance (and then wait additional days for construction to be completed), or you can pay mucho real money to remove the artificial barriers and move forward immediately. You could literally spend years and thousands of dollars advancing through this game. How ridiculous is that! I understand that game developers need to earn money to stay in business, but, I would only play a game like this again if it had an option to remove advertisements and allowed me to progress as fast as I wanted to. All it would take is adding an option to buy an add/restriction free version of the game at a reasonable price. But, that would likely never happen because it would reduce the average revenue per download due to those who are unfortunately willing to spend thousands of dollars to advance. And I’m sure many of those individuals really can’t afford to spend that money. Fun game, but, my recommendation is to do yourself a favor, and don’t start playing. Avoid any game that deliberately slows your progress to subject you to unwanted ads and thousands of opportunities to spend your real money over and over to advance. Just read a few of the one star reviews and you will realize that people are spending years and hundreds or thousands of dollars to remove artificial game barriers designed to get you to pay—over and over. I deleted the app after completing level 380 and will NEVER play a Wooga game again.

June's Journey Last Update

I don't know what bugs you tried to fix with the latest update, but you might want to rethink what you did. Over the last several weeks I've had to try to connect several times before getting a stable connection, no matter the time of the day. I hope you fix it soon.

***Update:
Apparently these reviews aren't read by anyone in the programming department so I'll just update what I wrote a couple of weeks ago. There haven't been any changes to the connection issue and I just spent the last 30 minutes trying to get a stable connection to their servers. I got kicked off the servers 8 times, I've given up for tonight.

***Another Update:
The problem is actually getting worse. I was sent an email but how am I supposed to respond? I GET KICKED OFF BY YOUR SERVER. This doesn't happen with any other app, just this one.

***After a good weekend, tonight the problem with being kicked off the servers is happening again. Probably one of the senior programmers corrected some code on Thursday or Friday and then today some nubie messed it up.

*** I've continued to play with these errors occurring nightly, but tonight I was kicked off the server during every aspect of the game. It didn't matter if I was trying to view a video add, play a scene or just had the island on my screen, I was kicked off the server and the game shut down. I've been playing this game for years and this is the worst I've seen it. Let me know when you have it corrected and I'll start playing again. So long.

***Here we are again, after another update the app is worse than ever. I've played this game for years and the last several months have been horrible. My iPad has no problem with any other apps. Tonight it won't connect for more than 60 seconds before I get disconnected. I've tried playing a scene but just as I finish, I get disconnected- but it decreases my power every time. I don't know why I keep believing this will be fixed, but like I stated before, I've played this game for years. Please find a way to correct this.

***Once again the programmers have created an update that completely tanks when I try to play on my iPad. This whole once a month update thing is a terrible idea. The app won't even start. I get the Wooga splash screen, but then closes. Feel free to better beta testing before releasing your updates.

***So I thought I would give it another shot. I deleted and reloaded the app - no change. I open the app, get the Wooga splash screen and then the app closes. I would think that after 4 years the programmers could get this to work with an iPad.

June's Journey Don’t Believe that 4.7 rating for JJ

As a player for over 4 years, I love setting up my islands and trying to come up with different scenarios. BUT, there is no way this game has a 4.7 rating. They are removing reviews that downrate them. Go ahead, WOOGA, deny it! But I KNOW I am right! I happen to love playing JJ. But I also can AFFORD to pay to play. Most cannot. I know they have removed my last 5 ratings because in any other game in the App Store, if your previous reviews are there, they come up as soon as you try to do a new review. Then you can change it if you want. Sorry, Wooga, but after 4 plus years of playing, I have been here longer than most of the people on your “hired team.” You are realistically a 3.5 rating. Nobody is 4.7 happy with this game. There are too many problems everywhere in the game. Let me count the ways. I have been watching long term friends and fellow players deleting their games and walking away in droves recently as WOOGA pushes clubs and starts pushing new in-app games that are nothing more than money grabs. These new memoirs are money grabs and this last one wasn’t even worth playing. My friends and fellow players are getting more and more frustrated and want the old JJ back from 4 years ago. To the lady complaining about the ads? I agree with her! That is a specific game, an RPG that is not for everyone. Mostly for the youngsters. WOOGA, your bread and butter are leaving and deleting their games faster and faster. Meanwhile, you waste time coming up with “Secrets” games and memoirs and pushing leagues. All designed to be energy and money grabbers. Please get back to putting out new stories, or let us play the earlier games over and get boxes in them, too. All that being said, and it is the truth, for me? It’s still my favorite game. Then again, I only play 3 games here. So that’s not saying much. It’s been years since you have put out a new seasonal set with the artistry and no reruns from previous sets. It was sad how happy that made me when I saw your new Alpine set. You also need to come up with new flower adding items in your common line-up. That set is STILL mostly the same items from when I started over 4 years ago. You need a make over, keeping the best selling items including the high value items those of us who play seriously use to catch up when we need to do a major sell off to make room for new seasonal sets. Also? ALL ITEMS should be able to be sold off. But the things we get from pink boxes? We are forced to keep. They take up valuable room and we really don’t want to keep most of them because they are low flower value items that take up too much room! ALL items should be able to be sold off! Do better! Before my favorite game has no one left to play it!

June's Journey 10/08 June’s Journey is down, AGAIN, internationally

The minimum you could do right now is go online at wooga.com, TWITTER, Instagram, Facebook & any social Media sites you advertise; acknowledge and give timeframe when this problem will be completely resolved.
The team who owns/manages this game rarely responds to players comments & queries about these major problems in the game.

I have had blips of lost service for days but some people have not been able to log on for a week (and this has been going on for months).
In addition, the new money-grabbing ads that are overly-long, have started requiring players to “click next”, “click next”, “click next”, Some have even asked me to “accept cookies” this is not the way to use ads.
I feel that Game players Should NEVER be asked to accept cookies within an ad, just to watch an ad in order to be able to progress in game. This CLICKBAIT is just a way for you to get more clicks to add to your revenue and it only frustrates & aggravates the loyal players. And, the quality of the ads, have your advertisers seen your finished product they’re paying for?
When the problems loading game only occurs in certain areas, then some players are unable to get online & join their team, which causes teams to suffer in competitions & rewards, and leaderboards, Which is the whole point of the game for most of us.
When the ads don’t malfunction (which they do) then there are the times it never shows enough of the ad to even know what is being advertised, lately there are ads showing in screen on top of ads, even More clickbait. It almost looks as though there’s something wrong in the software.
Don’t think we haven’t noticed the reduction in quality of the game which appears to be just so you can try and make more money.
While researching the game it is clear that the company makes millions and millions per month so why are you risking damaging the game and losing the respect of your players?
If you were not greedy & trying to do so much at one time: 4th anniversary adding new graphics, Sweep the Board, Memoirs, now- Companion Card related to Memoirs, and now Saturday comp Mirrored (a new type comp). EVERY TIME you try and add a new comp your game experiences major issues.
In addition, the new money-grabbing ads that are overly-long, have started requiring players to “click next”, “click next”, “click next”, Some have even asked me to “accept cookies” this is not the way to use ads.
I think that players Should NEVER be asked to accept cookies in ad, just to continue to play the game This is only a way for you to get more clicks to add to your revenue and it only frustrates & aggravates us players. And, the quality of the ads, at times there are ads playing on top of other ads. But for now: WHY is GAME OFFLINE today 10/08?

June's Journey Deteriorating QUICKLY!

5/10/23. Sad that a game with as many complaints about the game shutting down during play & continuing to “sell” items doesn’t use some of the money to employ more intelligent developers to correct the technological problems which only continue to worsen. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS GAME ANY LONGER.
4/12/23. Can’t believe it continues to get worse. Shuts down worse than ever. DO NOT PLAY. With so many complaints they surely don’t need to “contact support”. They KNOW there are problems & would be wise to use the money they are obviously earning to hire better developers to correct their issues.
1/23/23 This is so sad. As you can see, I’ve written repeatedly about this game. Tonight I downloaded a new update hoping the issues I’ve repeatedly reported would have improved. I’ve played this evening & had nearly every play shut the game down. Then I updated hoping for improvement. I was obviously delusional. Of course there’s no improvement! Then there are all the extra games. I have not completed any memories since the first one. The sweep the board I have never completed! If it’ s not possible to win them there’s no reason to play them. The vault games can ONLY be gotten if you pay which is not fair to all players. It’s apparently time this game is reported for unethical practice & extortion.
10/6/22. WOW! I didn’t think this game could get any worse. But with your 5th Anniversary celebration this app has become impossible to play. With 228 energies I completed 6 attempts to play. With every ad that had to be watched I was kicked off multiple times. It took over 2 hours to complete those 6 plays. I would take the one star away now. I’ve played this for fun & relaxation. Now it actually creates anxiety. When developer response is to contact them to explain issues, I question whether they care because in reading reviews for the last few months numerous app users have explained the issues exactly as I have. However, there have been no improvements in that time. I don’t have time to spend contacting developers as I have been instructed. I guess it was nice while it lasted………
. 9/29/22. Sadly, your recent update has done NOTHING to improve the issues this app has. Rather than doing so much for a Golden Anniversary, perhaps you would be wiser to spend that time correcting your issues with the app. I no longer can recommend this app under any circumstances. (Previous review that obviously was ignored) I have loved playing this game for over a year. However, recently it has been crashing almost every other attempt to play a scene. It has become very aggravating & time consuming to have to wait for the game to reboot almost EVERY time I play a round. This is the second time this month I have said something. It hasn’t improved but is actually getting worse. At the moment I would not recommend this game any longer which is sad considering how much I have liked it.

June's Journey Why did developers decide to ruin the game?

Update: Playtika/Wooga has made yet another money grab. Players on the game and all their social media pages are boycotting, refusing to watch ads, not competing in competitions and not playing at al. Then Darius Wooga chewed out all the players on the official JJ FB Page and basically told people to shut up and insulted women left and right as he angrily targeted them for complaining. They literally took away the ability for players to get the majority of their energy for regular and competition play time. They now expect players to be 100% pay to play as per their recent financial plans to convert free players into paying players or force them out. These developers are out of control!

I’ve been playing JJ since the beginning of the pandemic. At first it was a way to relax and relieve stress. The game has since completely changed its game strategy. It went from a relaxing bit of fun to being forced into a bizarre gaming servitude of wanna play, then pay and then don’t play very much... I used to freely spend money on something I enjoyed & wanted and so did my husband. With the recent changes of being forced to pay or make your entire team lose, we all decided as a team to quit spending any money on the game. It is one thing to pay for something you enjoy willingly, but a completely different ball of wax being cornered by money hungry developers forcing you to spend on what they want you to spend on. Unless you don’t want to advance in the game, are willing to spend big $ and you are willing to be kicked out of every club you join if you don’t spend, then I do NOT recommend this game to anyone that doesn’t have a ton of cash to waste. It went from enjoyment and wanting to play, to being forced to play at specific times that the developers chose & sometimes in competitions up to 20 hours in duration. It has become a full time job that players pay to do! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS GAME! Just signed onto the game and came back to add to my review. In 17 minutes another one of their tasks is going to start. We just had a competition that expended all our resources less than 24 hours ago. There is also a 7 week league thing that we are doing that has been forced upon all players. Of course they will blow smoke up your rear saying that you don’t have to do it, but if you don’t do it, you will never have any play time and progress at a snail’s pace until you actually forget you even play the game. The developers are destroying this game and alienating their loyal players in hopes of getting new players who are too stupid to know the difference. Also, before beginning your play each time you sign on (including coming back to the game if you take a phone call or let the screen go dark for any reason) there are numerous commercials you must watch before you get going & after each task is completely. In an hours play I average at least twenty 30 second commercials sometimes more. Is your time worth a few fake coins & pink boxes with crappy virtual prizes? Ask yourself these questions before you pay to play!

I had 20 hours left to purchase my LAST card in order to get extra diamonds

At 8:24pm (PDT) 10/27 I made a purchase for diamonds ($49.99) I received the paid for diamonds - but did NOT receive the pink snippet pack but more importantly was not credited for my last loyalty card & thus no extra diamonds.
