I've been a fan of Investigation Discovery for a while now, and I have to say that I really enjoy the content they put out. From thrilling murder mysteries to shocking true crime stories, this channel never fails to keep me on the edge of my seat.

One thing that can be a bit frustrating, however, is the amount of commercial breaks that they have. Sometimes it feels like I'm watching more ads than actual content! And let's not even get started on the annoying commercials that seem to be on repeat.

But even with the commercials, I still find myself coming back to Investigation Discovery time and time again. The quality of the programming is just that good. I appreciate how they delve deep into the stories and provide a detailed look at the crimes and their aftermath.

What really takes the cake, is that you can access the "Most Evil Scale" which is some kind of way to grade-out the worst, most heinous serial killers by Dr. Stone, who seems to know what's what. He explains the whole hog background story of each one so you know exactly where they sit on the scale of badnessnessness. I can't get enough of this stuff, it's so darn interesting and fact-filled.

It's like the channel is trying to make it so obvious who the perpetrator is. I miss the good old days when I could watch an ID show and have no idea what was going to happen. The first couple of years had shows like Murder Book, A Crime to Remember, True Detective, Swamp Murders, and Lake Erie Murders, just to name a few. But it seems like as the network got more popular, they abandoned quality content for smut and sex. Cheating spouses and swingers knocking each other off for life insurance became the norm. It's disheartening.

However, there are a couple of shows that keep me coming back. One of them being Murder in the Heartland. The production of it is fantastic, and I love everything about it. But who knows how long that will last before it's just another show with a different name.

So, I'm begging you, ID. Please give us back what made us love you in the first place. And Discovery, get it together. Stop promoting a new label with the same old content. We deserve better.
